I’m renovating my house and needed 3 additional radiators and new pipework to my house. I am very grateful to Ed and his 2 days of total dedication and high quality plumbing skills. He was very thorough explaining to me what he was doing and why. I’ve had previous plumbers in the past but not to this level of quality workmanship, honesty and trustworthiness. He is very reasonable cost wise and explained the costs and additional costs of consumables that might arise as he would need to correct the previous plumbers shoddy workmanship which I saw after the floorboards were pulled up, spaghetti junction of pipework, shocking to say the least! Ed sorted it all out thankfully. Highly recommended and will definitely use him for all my plumbing needs in future….. like next month for a boiler service. I’ll be sending Ed to my mother’s house to replace her immersion heater and fix her toilet, I am normally present when she has tradesmen there but that will not be necessary with Ed as I trust him and I don’t normally trust a lot of people 👍 Many thanks, Roy

His work for us included repairing a leak from a washing machine, installing a new mixer tap, servicing and repairing our boiler and investigating a serious leak from the flat upstairs. Highly recommended. My elderly boiler finally gave up and Ed came and replaced it the same day, working very late into the evening to get the job done. He really went out of his way to be helpful. I was very grateful to him as it was during a cold spell of weather. Ed has done other boiler maintenance and plumbing work for me at other times and has always done a great job. I could not rate Ed @ EC Plumbing highly enough. He did not charge for his initial scoping visit, and managed to source the parts I needed for the repair within hours, when I had been trying (& failing for months) with other plumbers to find the parts. On the actual day of the scheduled work Ed faced into a challenging job brilliantly, coming up with creative solutions on the fly and having all the right tools and spare inventory needed to complete the tasks. Moreover he did not complain as the job extended into several more hours than anticipated and ended up taking the full working day to the detriment of his personal plans - and when it came to the end he charged me for well under his actual time utilised. Additionally he also fixed a sink blockage before he left, which was never part of the original scope - and another piece of customer value add. 10/10, will use for all other needs moving forward. He replaced the expansion vessel on my boiler which immediately resolved the problem of too much pressure and my heating not working properly. We have used Ed a few times in the last couple of years and he has always been great! This time our old boiler packed up and we needed it replaced fast due to the cold weather. Ed did a fantastic job repairing our Vaillant boiler. You could tell that he took pride in his honest appraisal as well as the quality and the thoroughness of his work. After an initial inspection, he gave us an estimate of the work required and then stuck with it. Not knowing much about boilers, he could easily have spun a story that could have led to us spending hundreds of pounds. But he did no such thing. We will definitely be using him going forward for our annual service and any other issues we face with our boiler in future (which hopefully will be none but you never know)
