I can’t recommend Niall enough. For a start, he came out on a Sunday at 5pm to see what the issue was as he knew the next time he was free was the Tuesday evening. He sent me a reasonable quote for the work and was with me within 48 hrs to do the repair. He also helped with a couple of other issues we were having. He is tidy and very courteous.

Niall installed your central heating when we moved into our house some 4 years ago. He was great then, communicative, friendly, helpful and professional. Recently a burst water main damaged our boiler, I phoned him for information about the boiler (expecting he would even remember who I was) he remembered who I was, where I lived, what system he had installed and even offered to pop round a take a look at the boiler there and then. 10minutes later he was in our loft, performing a diagnostic of the boiler, identified the issue and arranged to have an engineer come out and repair it asap. Top bloke, very professional. 10/10 would recommend!

Niall was a real star! Its Saturday and my garbage disposal fell off and the water outlet disconnected. After a bad experience with another company, Niall diagnosed the boiler defect (rather than having to replace the entire boiler!) He was honest, trustworthy, efficient and hard working. He had inspected, diagnosed, ordered and replaced the parts in less than two days. I will definitely use Niall’s Company again and recommend him to others.

I rang in the morning and a little while later, Niall returned my call offering to look at my leaking pipe situation later that day. On arrival, he set to work on the leak in the flexi hose, but the combi tap it was attached to had a bigger issue and needed replacing. I picked a replacement option, which Niall kindly went and collected and fitted in very short order. After making sure all was fine, he then offered to fit another stopcock as I’d mentioned that the existing one wouldn’t shut the water off completely. I said absolutely and also mentioned a drip issue with the outside tap, which he also fixed. I am very happy with the work done and Niall was a nice easy going guy. I have passed his details to a friend who has a few plumbing jobs needing doing in her house. I would have no hesitation in using Niall’s Plumbing & Heating again.

After being let down by other plumbers and heating engineers in the past, we stumbled upon Niall's Plumbing & Heating. From the start, Niall, was responsive to our messages and promptly came round to assess the work (underfloor heating issue). We booked a date and Niall turned up early - never seen a tradesman do that before! Niall seemed knowledgeable about the work required and although there was a delay in the repairs being completed, due to parts not being available - the work was completed in an orderly and timely manner. The underfloor heating is now working and we have faith/trust in Niall, that should anything go wrong with the completed works - he will be back to resolve the matter and keep us happy. We would definitely use Niall's Plumbing & Heating for future works and highly recommend him to anyone out there, who are frustrated at being let down by other contractors in the past. The price is not cheap. However, I would say it's fair, given the high levels of professionalism, honesty and customer service provided. Overall excellent!

We had an issue with a broken digital shower and the manufacturer not making the parts anymore. I called Niall after a recommendation from a neighbour who also has a really positive experience with the company. Niall couldn't have been more helpful and was the only plumber to get back to me (on a Saturday) and actually offer advice on which make and shower to go for. I had been looking for a new heating engineer and I am so pleased to have found Nialls. Niall came out the same day, ascertained what needed doing in five minutes and was back within two days to carry out the work (and that's after six months of trying to get my usual engineer to do it!) He was very efficient and neat, and afterwards took the time to show me what all the controls and pipes on the hot water tank do, which was very useful. Niall is also knowledgeable about solar systems so I won't be looking anywhere else for future boiler services and plumbing/heating needs. We had a radiator which was stone cold. Not great in November, but fixed quickly and now the room is lovely and warm again. The thermostat was a bit of puzzle to me, so I asked if it could be 'set' to our requirements, and it was done in no time. Friendly, efficient and prompt service - and local. Since first calling Niall out for an awkward tap replacement we have cancelled our british Gas homecare and recommended him to 2 other friends. His quick callout response and honest advice for the tap replacement meant we didnt hesitate to call him when the boiler packed up and Homecare quoted 2 weeks to get out. Niall gave the option of repair or replacement with honest advice and no pressure. We took the replacement option and confirmed the quote was competitive so we had no haggling and 3 days later a new boiler installed with little fuss and no mess. I couldnt recommend Niall highly enough. Responsive, caring, honest and professional. Our Homecare service has been shocking and significantly overpriced for a couple of years and discovoring Niall has been a real breadth of fresh air and serves as a reminder of the importance quality local tradesmen. My elderly mother discovered all of her downstairs radiators be cold on Sunday 27th September. My sister, who was staying, attempted to call her insurers eventually being cut off at 11.00 am when their phones went dead. My mother turned the system off since it was making odd noises. She called on Monday 28th and was given an appointment on Thursday 1st October. The plumber told her a new valve was needed and probably a pump expecting tone back the next day. My mother heard nothing and chased. On Saturday she called again and was told the system needed flushing and until that was done they couldn't effect repairs. by now, 6 days without heating or hot water. I called Niall that morning. He arrived barley 15 minutes later, got the heating running, having overridden the faulty valve (they got one thing right) and went to obtain a new valve. He was back shorty and the job completed. One call was all it took. A superb service and one happy and warm old lady. We'll be dumping her insurance and Niall will benefit. We are spreading the word to local friends who struggle to find decent, honest people. Many thanks to Niall!! Ian Ross

This was the first time I had used Niall's Plumbing and Heating. Niall came to deal with a immersion heater element that was seeping water following a recent installation by another company. Arrived at 5pm as another job had taken longer than expected and despite my suggestion of re-arranging to another day he was adamant about seeing my job done. Turned out there were issues with both heating elements in the cylinder as a result of the previous installation, which to rectify he made a 6pm trip to a retail outlet a few miles away to get a couple of needed parts and he also identified a leak in another joint in the cylinder plumbing. He sorted these out, finally finishing at about 7.40pm, whereupon he surprised me by saying he still had two other jobs to attend to that night, this despite having started work at 7am! He also insisted I let him know the following day how the situation was. In summary Niall was at all times polite, professional and instructive, explaining the problems and his work to correct them and also, judging by his working hours, dedicated! FANTASTIC!!!!! Niall came to the rescue today after water from our unvented cylinder in the loft came through our bathroom ceiling. He came out within an hour on a Sunday and because he was able to quickly identify the faulty valve which just needed tightening he didn't even charge me. Niall installed a major system upgrade in our house after the old hot water/ heating system failed. Being without hot water, he managed to do the job extremely quickly and his work was of the highest standards. After he himself admitting he's a slight 'perfectionist', it certainly shows in his work. The pipework was very neat and quality of workmanship was exceptional.
