A period of over-training at the start of the year resulted in me developing plantar fasciitis. After trying a couple of physiotherapists, scouring the net for remedies and investing in various cures I arrived on Peter's doorstep broken and trying to come to terms with the idea I may never run again. Three months later and I'm running pain free and approaching my prior volumes. Peter began with a detailed assessment and then moved on to a corrective exercise routine underpinned by shockwave treatment and custom insoles. Every aspect of the treatment was relevant and professional - I can't recommend Peter and the team highly enough. Do yourself a favour, if you are suffering from foot pain book a session with Peter and let him work his magic!

I attended the South London Foot Clinic with the Plantar Fasciitis condition which made walking even short distances very painful. Peter was highly professional in his approach and after three months I can walk considerable distances without pain. Peter provided me with a schedule of daily exercises which I will continue with. My treatment is now complete but Peter has kindly booked me in for an appointment in a few months time to check that everything is still well. I certainly recommend Peter to others who might be suffering from this painful and limiting condition.

I was very happy with the treatment I received from Peter Gauntlett at South London Foot Clinic. He gave me a thorough examination and ultrasound scan from which he wrote his diagnostic report. This has helped me a great deal at A & E at QE hospital and then subsequently at the fracture clinic there. Peter also suggested a support boot and mailed the info to me. I chose the South London Foot Clinic as they were able to give me an appointment on the same day and it was fairly urgent that I got my foot seen to. Peter was great - he sorted the immediate problem but went above and beyond, identifying the cause of the issue too. I'll be going back for a bio-mechanical assessment soon. I have recently completed a 10 week course of treatment for an extremely painful episode of plantar fascitis. Peter was confident that he would be able to help. My treatment involved weekly sessions at first together with exercises I was to do at home. Peter was insistent that the exercises are an essential element of his treatment. I first consulted Peter in January this year with a longstanding painful plantar fasciitis condition and an old foot injury in the same foot. I had tried unsuccessfully to treat the condition with acupuncture, massage and with many different types of insoles. I was booked in really quickly for an initial consultation and decided to take the programme offered. I cannot recommend Peter Gauntlett & his staff at South London Foot Clinic highly enough. I came across the Clinic via an internet search due to my chronic foot pain (plantar fasciitis.) I had tried some basic Physio but that had made no difference. I entered into a 10 week program as suggested at my first consultation. His understanding of the issues, treatment plan and miraculous results have demonstrated his considerable knowledge and experience. Whilst the prices are not cheap, footcare is very important and Peter is a fantastic, professional and friendly man. Made me feel at ease as I was a bit nervous. I now have no ingrown nails, and silky soft feet. If you live in the Lewisham area and are suffering it is worth it. If you just want a pedicure I would stick with the £20 places on the high street. This practice is for medical care rather than pampering. The only negative is the continuous pan pipe music in reception which made me want to leave before my appointment started ; )

I saw Peter after suffering from foot pain for a number on months after an ultra marathon. He was clearly interested in not only how to treat the injury and recover but also how to prevent it coming back. He used a range of techniques such as ultra sound, shockwave therapy as well as proscribing a number of specific exercises. Painful toe sore cured! Peter came to my home as I was unable to drive with such a sore foot. After a careful and thorough appraisal of both feet, he treated the sore and eventually, after several months, it has completely healed. He was so kind and friendly, the treatment was superb. Very painful toe nail!!! I visited Peter at the forest hill clinic where he treated my ingrown toe. He is such a genuining person that I put all my trust into and he never let me down, he was happy for me to take the time i needed as i was very scared just with small talk i didnt even noticed he was fininshed pain free. 4 weeks on my toe has completely healed with the guide from Peter. My brother's toenails have been a major problem for many years and as his carer I have struggled to deal with them. They caused him so much discomfort and embarrassment - he was too ashamed to wear sandals in the summer and he would not show them to a chiropodist. A neighbour spoke so highly of Peter and persuaded me to book a home visit - the best thing I have ever done! He put my brother at ease straight away and immediately diagnosed a bad case of fungal nail disease. He assured us that it was perfectly treatable and recommended a liquid product that I could apply weekly. He did warn us that it would be a slow process but if we persevered my brother would eventually have normal toenails again and he was right. Peter continues to look after my brother's feet and his extensive knowledge of foot health has been invaluable on several occasions. He is always personable, punctual and professional and I would thoroughly recommend him.

He ordered me orthotics and adjusted them specifically for my feet and these along with some exercises and advice have made a world of difference.
