I had to ship a box of my possessions overseas. I was very stressed as I had alot of stuff and didn’t even have a box of the right size. Owais very kindly helped me. He created a space for me where I could comfortably unpack and decant my stuff into the new box. He gave suggestions including how to best pack which was very much welcomed. He created a calming environment as well as helping me get my parcel sorted as quickly and efficiently as possible. He was kind, friendly and patient. Fantastic customer service! I highly recommend this post office.

Owais at the shop counter was amazing, I needed to return something to Amazon and he printed out the label, stuck it on the envelope and explained every step of the way to me, I hadn't done it before so was a bit confused Owais was so nice and calm,and got it done with a smile. Thank you for making it so easy Owais.

I just want to thank Owais for all your help today in making sure my parcel had the required information to be posted.. PLT gave me a return label which wouldn’t scan so Owais explained what I needed to do. I had to print off a new return label which was hard work as the internet went down but Owais persevered and managed to print it off for me, he was very patient with me and the whole process and he was genuinely happy to help. Essex Road post office is probably the best post office in London, the staff are so friendly and helpful that they treat everyone like there own family. I don't live near Essex Road or in that area but always drive through Essex Road regularly 5 days a week. There is 1 staff member that really goes out of his way to help everyone in every kind of way and his name Mr Awais. Everytime I've been at the post office he always greets me in the most humble way that I have never been greeted before which really makes me feel really sepeical.

The earlier (unnecessarily race-based) review of this place by the first reviewer is entirely unwarranted in my experience - this is by far the friendliest post office I've dealt with in London, given it is run by locals who get to know your name and are very warm. This gives it a community feel the others don't have, almost as if it's in a village instead of a massive city. Props to all involved for building these kinds of places together in our neighbourhoods. It matters!
