Reviews of Cresselly Arms
Great old-fashioned little pub, with nice beer and cider selection. Very cosy and lots of character. Plenty of seating outside by the river. At low tide, stepping stones for kids to play on. Toilets tidy. Dogs and kids not allowed inside.
Cracking traditional village pub in idilic location. Visit by road or river, when tide is right.Serving a good selection of ales and beer (pitch fork is delicious) all at good price . Highly recommend ,friendly staff who know what a traditional pub should be .Bike night alway worth a visit .
Why can't all pubs be like this? It suddenly appears in the most stunning location. Plenty of outdoor seating, the owner was very quick to come over and take our order. We had the house ale and he told us the story behind how it was brewed. Could have stayed staring at the estuary and wildlife all day.
We were pleasantly surprised to find this pub open at lunchtime on a winter's day.
Good selection of beers, open log fire, but we sat outside. Pub is located at a scenic spot on the estuary near the old quayside where coal was loaded onto barges.
Love this welsh country pub in the heart of #PEMBROKESHIRE, close to #Carew Castle. It has maintains its charm since the first time I visited this pub many years ago. Locals and visitors enjoy the spectacular view of the river on a hot summers evening, especially when it's high tide at the Quey. Cider and beer were great and the service was fantastic. A memorable visit to one of my favourite pubs in Wales.
Absolutely superb. Stunning vistas even on a rainy day. The service was 1st class, fab friendly staff with welcoming smiles. Recommend here any day of the week. Cannot speak highly enough of yhe place.
A lovely traditional pub, full of character, which probably hasn’t changed much in a hundred years. The outside seating area on the banks of the estuary offer stunning views - the perfect spot for a pint on a sunny afternoon.
Just a shame about the two cantankerous old men that run the pub. They really do spoil the experience - not that they probably care!
Lovely place to have a pint and always good staff who are happy to help the beers and ale's are nice fresh which are really nice to enjoy by the side of the quay and people also come up the river and you can more up at the quay with your boat and sample an ale
Great service and good one way system for the current situation.
A lovely place to sit with a drink on a sunny day and watch the tide come in or out.
Beautiful setting on the Quay for a lovely relaxing drink watching the sunset. It was very busy the day we visited but there were enough outside seating for those who wanted it.
Went to a bike meet, very well run, all types of bikes from very old to new, young riders and old, good to see many lady riders attending, everyone respected the neighbors which are close by, food was available and obviously alcohol if required.
A beautiful pub along side a pleasant riverside, which made us feel very relaxed in such a tranquil setting, a feeling that you could have stayed there all evening, a revisit is already on the cards
Good local beers served here. Great place to chill out, get on the paddle board or even a spot of crabbing. And relax.
Traditional pub, beer, quay side seating friendly smiles. No food, no dogs or kids inside (plenty of seating outside), no Brexit talk (sign behind bar). Lots of activity and people watching in an otherwise quiet corner of Pembrokeshire.
Nice to see staff made the effort to dress up for Halloween, just wish I could take my dogs instead of sitting outside in the dark and cold.
Very nice food there, good service, friendly staff. Nice little spot as its on the estuary and quite a few boats plus a boat yard. There's a lifeboat by the boatyard but not sure it's a working lifeboat? Not sure what else is there, only went there for food in the pub. As it was a Sunday the pub do Sunday lunch.
Beautiful traditional pub. Don't expect food. Love the quay ale! Fantastic views on a sunny day. Ideal spot to while away a couple of hours.
Great pub in a beautiful spot by the river. Lovely beer - Quay Ale brewed for the pub. Also probably the really well organised in terms of being Covid safe.
What a beautiful place this pub is set in.
We went down on the night the bikers were there. High tides brought some boats in as well. Loved 😍 it.
Great no frills pub. Colin and Jon are great blokes, really friendly and such a shame I only discovered the place now! Will be back in the summer to really enjoy the place more.
Brilliant pub havent been there in years great atmosphere sitting by the river in the sunshine
Fantastic service and beer. Just wondering what happened to the brothers who were landlords.
Superb pub in superb area with lovely staff.
Put this pub very high on your list when your at Pembrokeshire / Tenby area.
Proper pub with excellent beers No food. Dogs not allowed, though.
Great little pub. Good beer .
Beautiful afternoon in sunshine, sit by river, table service, lovely people, lovely pint.
Good beer and rustic charm .No food , but lovely views with the tide in .
Brilliant spot for seasonal events which are aplenty .
BBQ events advertised on main road.Bike meets every other weds in season with burgers , sausages and ice cream for sale ..Very well attended.
Awesome bike turnout on a Wednesday night! Great beer too... 😎🍺🍻
Popped in last night for bike night, been a while since I last called in. Fantastic atmosphere great service and a great pint!
Nice friendly pub, with lovely views. Bike nights every 2nd Wednesday, and boats mooring up on a high tide.. highly recommend a visit and enjoy a nice cold drink...
A warm welcome and friendly banter from the locals, lovely old fashioned pub
My favourite pub in West Wales, I never miss a visit every time I travel to Pembrokeshire, I recommend to everyone to pay it a visit, lovely ales and full of character,👍
Superb country pub, with excellent real ale, straight from the barrel, into a jug & then your glass! Wonderful location.
Cracking little pub, well worth a visit
Lovely to sit and watch the wildlife... Decent pint too... And friendly staff.. ☺️
Lovely little place. Friendly bar staff. And they serve coffee lol.
Nice friendly folk in a well organized pub (important with Covid table service at present). Nice range of beers but a bit hazy over what they were called or the name of the brewery. The IPA type that had "made with Welsh water" on the glass was our favourite but you will have to do your own research to track it down - try their full beer range and then decide is my advice. Oh, also on a lively spot on the river/estuary in a truly beautiful part of the world.
Doesnt serve food.
Lovely spot for an ecening drink.
This is tiny pub but does amazing business. With the estuary right outside and a seating area. Also an area for pub barbecues etc. This place is always busy, but really well worth a visit. The staff are great. Service great. Prices as normal. Atmosphere - amazing. Views are wonderful and on a hot day...... Go dip your toes in the water to cool your body outside before getting a pint to cool the inside. A place Not to be missed.
Quaint little pub tasty selection of liquid refreshments
Lovely place to just chill out side on a sunny day,
The glory that was Rome lives on, in 1945, we'll worth a wander....try to catch high tide...
No frills, drinks only no food. It feels like you need to be one of the regulars to get it but not unfriendly. It could be superb with a bit of work. Better when table service was required
Lovely site. Old fashioned pub but due to Covid, tables are placed by the riverside and outside the premises. In the sunshine it all looks very attractive. Service by the owners was swift and cheery. Nice, will go again
An individual place. Beautiful spot, damn good service, nice beers. Tranquil and relaxing an old fashioned pub.
Lovely little old fashioned pub located next to an estuary. Beautiful location for an outdoor drink on a nice day. Please visit to support the landlord who, like many others, is greatly suffering due to Covid restrictions inside, where social distancing is impossible due to its size. Great place, great people!
Amazing to see a pub that looks frozen in time. I think it's worth another visit.
Always try to have a drink at this lovely riverside pub, to remember a dear departed friend. Unhappy to hear the current landlords will be moving on in September, hoping new landlords don't change anything about it's quaint olde charm🤞😊
Great little pub.Friendly locals
A proper pub, no food good beer and great outside space with views
A nice spot too picnic and bring the kids or the dog
Lovely locally family run village pub. Plenty of seating inside and out for even the busiest of days. Beautiful views and friendly staff. They were happy to take a tab for us as a large group and stayed open later than usual despite us being the only ones left. Highly recommended, especially if visiting the area for a weekend break.
Great place. Friendly and beery.
Awesome traditional country pub. Amazing location
There's not many pubs I can say is one of my favourites, but this quaint place fits the bill.
My parents have a caravan local and they visit here almost every time they go up.
Friendly and plenty of selections to drink as well as a stunning view to match.
Fantastic location loved the visit drinks good value will go again
Wonderful place to visit on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Swans, people and a grey mullet were enjoying themselves.
Just nice !👌 on a sunny day there's nowhere better for a pint
Love this place, totally unspoilt. Great beers, and cider. Some beers served from a jug. No food but plenty of crisps, nuts and various nibbles. Lovely views up the Cresswell River if you sit outside. Well worth a visit.
Didn't meet the landlord, so don't know if he is very rude as reported on TripAdvisor.
NO FOOD! Good real ale, prompt table service, only outdoors at present I think.
Wonderful place to relax and enjoy a lovely beer, the pub is full of character, it's a shame you can't have a drink inside at the moment, fortunately it's in a very picturesque place to.
Plenty of outside seating in these Covid times, great beer and very welcoming. Great views down the river while savouring the local ale.
Old fashioned pub, beer good, parking was a problem
Just a great pub,no food!
A beautiful place to sit and have a drink.
No food - just a proper pub with a lovely outside seating area overlooking Cresswell Quay.
Much better again now new landlord is there
Always a warm welcome. A good old fashioned beer pub. Location is awesome. Especially at high tide as it's beautiful then. Get a boat down there and enjoy a scrumpy 😎
Lovely spot to stop and watch the birds. No food, but a warm welcome.
A great little pub doing their best in the current climate, John behind the bar made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The local ale is worth a try
Great down to earth pub no kids, no dogs although okay out side and no cards taken over the bar. Great views I really love this pub oh and no food only crisps unless they have a function in the car park opposite normally a hog roast.
Always been a great pub just unfortunately the new man running it was rude and racist. Slamming glasses on the bar when we asked for a glass and ice and just being plain rude when taking our order. Lived round here for years and always been to the quay but will never be buying drinks here again while he’s in charge. Never met such a rude bloke in all my life.
Fantastic atmosphere, clean, some great beers.
Inside or outside, both a little bit special.
Lovely relaxing pub ,great surroundings
Great pub good selection of beers and very friendly owners. The location is the best especially when the tides in. Always look forward to our next visit. Happy 😊 days!
Traditional pub on the edge of a river
Lovely place shame they don't serve food
Great place for an evening pint watching the river.
Great old worldly pub. Just the place for a drink on a summers evening. Do not expect up market. But a very good welcome by the host and locals.
Destination for scooter rally rideout. Coped very well with a sudden influx of a couple of hundred thirsty scooterists.
So much better than it was over past five years, a friendly place again
It's like going back in time, but in a good way. One of the smallest pubs I've visited, full of locals and friendly place.
A pub you can even pull your boat up to, depending on the tide.
Love it everytime we are there. It feels so safe the Landlords and Alice have worked hard through this difficult time. Our favourite pub.🤗🤗🤗
Went there the other week the staff r mot very friendly. Would not go there again plenty of other nicer pubs around the area to vist
Lovely little 'olde worlde' pub. Shame they don't serve food, friendly staff.
The most quaint pub with outstanding views
Good service, great view, good beer, the sun shone too. Hope to see the inside next time :)
Fabulous traditional pub in a stunning location.
A place to sit and relax and enjoy a cheeky pint or two.
Beautiful little pub, would recommend anyone too try it out, such a peaceful place and a lovely pint
Just enjoyed a couple of post walk drinks here - excellent setting by the water and good choice of real ales.
Lovely village pub
Don’t know if it still sells a pint of Firewater but loved this pub. Wait for a spring high tide, park your car across the road and watch the water come in...
Lovely pub good beer , table service excellent what's not to like 👍👍👍👍👍
Stunning views lovely welcome .very unique and worth a visit . Doesn't do food and no children inside pub .traditional old pub

A proper pub not meany left like a pub I grew up in
Superb location, superb beer.
No food and no dogs allowed inside, otherwise 5 stars. My sort of pub.
A step back into the 1950s: I loved it! Great location and no juke box, pool table, fruit machines or WiFi. No food either, which is a shame, but it's well worth a visit.
Called off last year, 2017, lovely little pub, fortunately the weather was good as no children are allowed inside, called off again this year, 2018, but it was closed, wasn't hanging around for 2 hrs for it to open.
Great place, friendly atmosphere...good local beers, beautiful views.
Great traditional pub, friendly, chatty owners and fantastic location.
Escape from it all setting, great for evening sunshine. A trip into the past, simple choices, simple pleasures.
Covid measures in place are strong and feels safe. The location is beautiful and the Quay bitter is very moreish. Opens at 2pm.

This is a proper pub in a beautiful village set on the creek side. Fantastic. Great people.

Nestled away in the beautyfull Pembrokeshire countryside liys the cresselly arms a wonderfull place of outstanding natural beauty it is by far a proper old fashioned drinking pub no food unless it's a barbecue when there is something on which is often over the summer months from 2 bike meets a month to all kind of things go and find it explore the river and the windy lanes its out of this world

Amazing location great beer super friendly owners
Grumpy owners but great location and it's the company your with that makes the difference. Great party 🥳
Time stood still and nice collection of wines and beers.Along the quay/little harbour with stunning views.
Beer was ok, but the landlord was 'drunk' on his position and abusive to anyone arriving by boat for a drink
