Great rustic pub, popular with students. Great reasonably priced food generally to Italian cuisine. The Sunday carvery is probably the best I've had. If you are partial to real ale, they have a great selection of those as well.

A regular for us, good mix of people, drinks and atmospheres. Never too busy and never too quiet either, pool table, TVs showing sport, Sunday carvery (worth a try) and regular drinks promotions. Often features strange bearded men taking selfies at the bar 😂

One of the best pubs in town. Quite big with several tables and many chairs, it's almost impossible not to find a free seat. They also have a pool and a dartboard. Food is decent, I particularly like the cheesy garlic bread. Desserts are nice, too. Friendly staff.

Great pub (one of my two favourite pubs in Aberystwyth). Good selection of wine and beer (all beer Brains beer with the exception b of a guest ale which is comparatively expensive). Great atmosphere, especially with live music, or with a good sports game on the telly. Large enough to offer enough seating, and large tables to share. Some evenings have a "Little Italy" restaurant upstairs for great Italian food.

Scholars was one of Aberystwyth best kept secret (that several people knew about). A great pub. A great atmosphere. Very outgoing staff! Very affordable food which was great quality too. One of the best carverys in town. The place has some real character. Unfortunately upon visiting in August 2019 I found out they no longer do food. This is a real shame! It made Scholars a stand out pub in Aberystwyth. I would love to see the food return! (It's also quite far from Warrington pets and exotics which is a shame)

Four of us older ones visited Scholars we all had pasta of different sorts and all found it delicious. Best I have had in a very long time. Beer was really good amd the staff were really pleasant. We will definately return when we are next in the area.

Yes this is the place to go! The staff care about their customers they don't rush you too much to drink up. Aka you have about 30 mins after last orders. They walk around make sure everything is okay and great music!

Nice place. Lots of seating upstairs. Tasty Sunday roast but the line for food is usually quite long. Pool table and darts are available for games. Decently sized bar for drinks. Quiz night Sundays as well.
