Cracking Sunday dinners! The roast beef was superb, this has to be one of the best Sunday dinners I've ever had. The vegetarian option, a Wellington, was also highly rated by our resident veggie. I'm only sorry I didn't take a photo to show you so here's my pint of Montys Old Jailhouse instead - which was great too.

Revisited The Halfway Inn. Was lovely to meet the couple who have taken it over. They have kept it as a beautiful rustic family bar/restaurant the food is still excellent and really nice atmosphere. In fine weather the outside seating area has the most stunning views over the Rheidol valley and beyond - take your binoculars and enjoy a few beers! We stayed for a meal - the menu wasn't extensive, but there was enough on there to provide a few choices. The food was served fairly promptly, and was good quality, and well cooked. I would recommend this place.

Stayed here last night (18/09/21) in our camper , was allowed to park over night in thier carpark while on our tour of Wales. Had diner and a few drinks at the pub and both were excellent. Super friendly staff and very helpful. Will 100% be returning next time we venture to Wales. 10/10 for service. Many thanks.

Amazing pub with equally amazing views over the valley. We stayed over for the night in our camper on the top carpark after ringing to ask permission earlier in the day. Food was amazing, generous portions well presented and cooked. Staff were very friendly and approachable. Average beer and wine prices with a good selection of real ales. We look forward to visiting again .

Stunning views with ample parking. Good range of ales with very friendly staff, and a separate safe area for children to play in We were celebrating my granddaughter's fifth birthday, all twelve of us. A good menu, with plenty of vegetarian options. I had a plate-sized round Yorkshire Pudding, holding veg, sausages and great gravy, (unusual, but not, was it good!). My 94 year old mother in law polished off a lasagne, declaring that "This is a almost as good as mine!" Cheap and cheerful, with am easy atmosphere.

A lovely welcoming family pub, fantastic food served by thoughtful staff. The playroom is a wonderful asset and our 3 thoroughly appreciated it. Changing table, potty and childs toilet seat all available, making life with little ones much easier! Would highly recommend and will definitely come back!

This is an awesome pub to visit I think they had 3 cask ales on tap, a lovely wood burner and huge open fire grate. We ordered food and it arrived quickly the steak and ale pie was brilliant you can actually taste the ale in it not like allot of places, The Scottish barman is friendly and welcoming.

Food was ok, sorry but nothing we had really had the wow factor. Limited real ales and on the evening we visited most where off due to supply issues. Staff appeared to be less than enthusiastic.

Proud to call this our local pub, always a lovely friendly welcome. Great food and atmosphere. In reply to the one star review, I am really disappointed that the person who wrote it chose to write a horrible review on here, instead of raising a concern at the time with the landlady, who i know would have done all she could to have rectified the situation. I would also like to inform them that the cider is a real cider not a fizzy bottled cider. But again if there had been a problem let the owner know instead of airing nasty reviews. They would have refunded you your pints.

Unpretentious friendly family run country pub with stunning views over the Rheidol Valley. Situated 7 miles East of Aberystwyth on the Devils Bridge road A4120. Good value food in lovely surroundings. Food menu is broad enough to offer something for everyone. Many ingredients are locally sourced. Meats in particular are very high quality and sourced through award winning Rob Ratreys in Aberystwyth. Interior decor sympathetically modernised. Outside, weather permitting, offers a beautiful unrestricted view of the Rheidol Valley. One of the best country pubs in Ceredigion in my opinion. Pre-Booking sensible as the venue can be very busy at times.
