Excellent pub/restaurant near the beach of Aberystwyth. Ordered the daily special, and for Mondays it’s the choice for fish and chips. Crispy cods and generous portion; enjoyed it with the dipping sauce. The daily special also comes with the drinks. Fast and friendly service service!

Been here a few times for drinks and a breakfast. Great for watching sports, which is the main reason for us going, good choice of drinks and very good prices. Breakfast was good, but not our choice of food from the main menu. But good if you like, burgers, quick food etc. Then it will suit you. DJ's on certain nights, but the music played is good. Always a different variety of people in there, which makes it a good atmosphere day and night. Lots of space and seats available.

Had a really good bar meal, nice that we could take my sister in law's three little dogs in and kind staff brought them a bowl of water. Returned again on Sunday evening and was pleased to see the vegan options on the menu. The staff are brilliant, really helpful and friendly. Even though there didn't seem to be many of them on a busy Sunday evening.

Excellent pub with a good menu even a choice for vegans wich is good theses day as my daughters are vegan tho they were not with us on this visit. Lovely clean pub good service and they were cleaning tables as people left. Only thing toilets are up stairs not sure if they have a lift or not but I didn't ask anyone put I managed OK. Will definitely recommend and have a return visit soon.

Fantastic Sunday roast for the price. Hot and tasty. Didn't come with the stuffing though it was advertised and sounded lovely. Staff very busy so didn't want to bother them. Lots of fresh veg which I love. Will definitely be returning.

We arrived about 7pm on a Friday eve and were able to get a table quite easily. Service was friendly and efficient. There was a nice relaxed atmosphere and we noticed that many family tables were able to bring their well behaved dogs in too. The food was delivered fairly quickly and was well presented. We had a lasagne with salad and a chicken & bacon salad. Portions were very generous and both meals were very nice and good value for money. We have eaten here before and would definitely go back again.

Right on the high street only a few steps from the sea front, I found a warm welcome to this family/sports pub. Food is varied and a lot of choice within a us-style range on offer. Staff were polite and cheerful, no long waits and with the big windows a super plave6to watch the world ho by as well as meet with friends or watch sporting events on big screens which were available but not too intrusive. I'll be back!

Love eating here when I'm in aberystwyth! Food is lovely, arrives fairly quickly & is delicious! We always have a couple of meals here when we holiday near here! Wide choice of meals & good value for money, especially love the fish & chips where you can add extras like bread & butter to go with the meal! The staff are good & organised & friendly & the only reason I didnt give 5 stars is due to the drinks being quite expensive! Love this place though so would defo recommend!

Whilst the food was delicious and the service great, our experience was spoilt by 2 dogs constantly barking and another dog owner was feeding food to his dog from his plate using his fork! Very unhygienic 🤢 Personally don't agree with dogs in eating places.

This was a good find to be perfectly fair. It was very busy when I visited 1/6/22. I took my dog & there were a few other dogs too. I ordered food using the app & it was all very straightforward & food & drinks arrived very quickly. The food was good quality. They have an accessible entrance & toilet. Not the cleanest but they were busy & like I said earlier there were a few dogs inside the building all on leads with the owners.

Food standards similar to that you'd get in a large chain pub like wetherspoons, I don't know if this pub was or not. But the pub is dog friendly, even having a dog menu which I thought was great. Even if the menu did say £1 for a dog's chicken breast and I was charged £2 because the menu was apparently out of date?!

Only issue was it can little bit slow from ordering to getting food. Other than that, the food is perfectly edible and is priced accordingly for what you get, so keeping in mind that this is in the middle of a seaside town, this is probably one of, if not the cheapest place in town. Keep in mind that if your visiting at the moment (2021 May lockdown easing) you'll need some form of ID to prove who you are for track and trace before they will let you in

Large windows to two sides made this pub inviting and inside it was light and airy but with a great pub ambience. Music in the background was unobtrusive and if your thing is sport then the large screen TVs afforded good views of what was on. Friendly, attentive staff took our food & drinks orders and the service was prompt. Good selection of beers available and there was an extensive menu. Quality of the food was excellent. Definitely coming back here again when we're next in Aberystwyth.

Lovely pub for a quick pub lunch. I ordered the pie and a pint offer (you can have a soft drink) for £5.99 on a Wednesday. If you wish to order food, you need to find a table, note the number and tell the bartender the number when you order your food. The food came quickly and was very good.

Lovely pub, in terms of appearance. We like the big windows and the old pew benches. The major downside for us was the price of beers. A lot more expensive that other nearby pubs. We were out on a blokes weekend so only stayed for one round due to the prices.

It was the lunch time rush and there was a 20 minute waiting time for our food but it was worth the wait! Toilets were also very clean and regularly serviced. Overall good enough food and drink, prices are reasonable enough. I got a vegan/soy burger with the hot buffalo sauce, and the vegan apple pie for dessert. The burger and chips were good but the vegan apple pie had a layer in it (supposed to be custard) the taste and texture of wet tissue paper, it was very unpleasant and I think it may have been off. The rest of the pie was fine enough but it was difficult to avoid the "custard" layer. If you want to take anything from this, do not buy the vegan apple pie.

I've eaten here a few times pre covid and it's always been good.. One thing that stood out this time was how thorough and sensible the covid conditions are, and how well the staff carry them out. The 3 of us in our party all said that we felt very safe whilst in this pub.. Food was good, not exceptional but I would definately visit again

Came for food on a stopover whilst dropping off at uni, in the midst of the second wave of covid. The staff could not have been better......well organised, polite, friendly and attentive. Lots of attention to safety. The food was reasonably priced, hot, and nicely presented. What drew us here initially were the vegan options for me, a happy little find! We stopped at the White Horse with our Spanish family that were over on holiday, we we’re just going to have a drink but we’re delighted with the atmosphere and the staff so we stayed for lunch. I did not book a table, but the person at the door went out of his way to find me a table,not once but three times. Waitress and waiters very polite respectful and busy. I have been here before the covid and I have always had good service. Would highly recommend.

I took my family here for a mid week lunch, it was a well worth the visit. The food was great value and good quality. Service was excellent, with a busy midday service it still only took 20 minutes for it to arrive. There were four of us eating and soft drinks it still came to under £30. Staff were very accommodating and helpful and the pub was even dog friendly (didn't have my dog with me as away for work) and had water and biscuits for them. Nice to see more pubs being dog friendly as they are a part of your family. Would not hesitate to go back again.

I visited on Thursday 9/9/21 on Thursday with my partner and we ordered 2 steaks medium rare with the cheese a d peppercorn topping, when mine arrived it was so rare it was still mooing so I sent it back , I know what I'm talking about as I'm a chef by trade . When it was returned itwas obvious it had been microwaved and the chips and peas hadnt even been kept warm but the most disappointing was staff who didn't seem to care

The place was a bit done in with ripped chairs and seating around the place which was a shame. However, in general it was a cheap find and decent enough for a bite to eat.

Popped in on the off chance of getting a table. Visiting Aber to look at the United for my daughter. Lovely welcome, food was delivered quickly and was delicious and plentiful! I'm a veggie and had more choice than I usually get, daughter isn't veggie and very happy with her meal. A couple of glasses of wine, and a not too disturbing bill later, we left satisfied and happy! Thank you, definitely recommend.

Town centre pub restaurant close to sea front with a good range of fayre including for vegetarians. Enjoyed a vegetarian roast and desert all served in a timely way. The place is dog friendly so your pooch can sit at your feet which can be helpful if you're visiting town with your dog.

Went for my sister in law's belated birthday lunch and was a pleasant experience. Pub kept tidy, I had the Beef and Double Gloucester pie and it was amazing! The drinks are very dear though, costing £3.10 for a pint of Coca Cola. That's just above average for a pint of Lager/Cider. And another plus is that the place is Dog friendly. So plenty of woofs and floofs to pet and stroke 😌

stopped here for lunch on thursday 31st oct, we ordered meals for 2 adults & 3 children, meals weren't too bad, however my grandson wanted the sausage, mash & gravy, the meal arrived minus the gravy, i told the waitress that we hadn't got the gravy, she replied she would go to get it, 10 mins later she came back to us and said that she had sent a note down to the chef, & the gravy will be with us soon, to which i replied, dont bother my grandson had ate his lunch. i was not impressed by the level of service at this establishment.

Although the noisy, sometimes crowded atmosphere can be somewhat daunting - Aberystwyth is, after all, a student town - the food when I have been here was great, the service can be quite slow at the bar but overall the staff are friendly and as long as you avoid going after about 8pm then you miss most of the student influx. The only time I had anything wrong with my meal - a steak cooked rare as opposed to my order of medium - the manager was apologetic, whisked it away from me back to the kitchen and I was given a brand new plate cooked perfectly that time, and he gave both my friend (whose meal was perfect) and myself a free dessert and drink. I doubt that happens every time but as a first visit to Aberystwyth, my friend was very impressed with both the food and service.
