I usually love coming here and have always had great service and great drinks, but tonight just wasn’t up to the usual standard. We were served by a different guy than usual and he forgot all the garnishes and other bits that come with our drinks, he was also quite pushy and made us feel uncomfortable so we left after one round.

Can't recommend Nia and her team enough after holding my daughters 18th Birthday party in Y Banera! Staff were so accomadating and made sure they were all having fun. We were able to decorate and drop off buffets etc before hand too. If your looking for a venue for an event or special occasion Y Banera wont be beaten, thanks guys xxx

Nia and Ioan came out to do a cocktail workshop at my fiancee's birthday party. An amazing 2 hours. The bar in town is a great place. Fab service, friendly staff and great drinks. If you're in Aber call in. If you need something special for an event, book them.

Best cocktail place in Aberystwyth in my opinion. The drinks were excellent and the service was of the highest quality. Ioan, the manager, took the time to carefully explain the menu and gave recommendations on some of his favourite cocktails. Had a fantastic evening here and will definitely be returning!

A friendly and contemporary cocktail bar. Staff are knowledgeable and very welcoming. Seating is comfortable and the drinks menu comprehensive; but the staff will go off menu if requested. Staff are attentive, polite and make sure that you have a good time while in the bar. There is no pressure to leave or buy placed upon you. I recommend a visit and a few drinks; you won't regret it.

The most incredible service from a man called Ioan Pearce, the manager - he personally recommended a drink to me and I cannot lie it was the best drink I have ever tasted, the Banéra Bach. Would highly recommend, the member who posted a one star review before this was rude and disruptive, I could not disagree with him more - the best service ever, I absolutely love this place.

Popped in and had a few cocktails with friends. Nice enough cocktails and atmosphere albeit pretty quiet for a Friday evening, maybe 8-10 people, 4 of which were us. Seemed across the road another cocktail bar was noticeably busier but that doesn't necessarily mean much. I couldn't see a menu on the website or Facebook page which is a shame. A small selection of nibbles on the menu wouldn't go amiss either, especially for those longer nights out or when they hold music events which I'm sure would be a blast.

Gosh, it's great to see people enjoying themselves again. Great atmosphere if a little noisy although that may just be me having been a recluse during covid. The cocktails were goid and don't be afraid to ask for something off piste. The staff were young but seeing them make the cocktails was entertainment in itself. It obviously suited groups but as a couple we were looked after and will call in again.

Was there a few days ago, very nice atmosphere, great, friendly staff making jokes with the customers and making them feel very comfortable, they were all wearing masks which I find a good thing. Nice drinks but they could be a little bit cheaper. That's the only thing I would consider changing. Overall I highly recommend!! :)

Lovely drinks, too much ice in the gin and bitters though, friendly staff who were very helpful for my Mum who can't manage steps at the moment. Music slightly too loud but 5 star overall for relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Lovely atmosphere, drinks were really good. The staff was very nice. Would be 5 stars but we had to wait good few minutes for the waiter to notice us and take our order. I'd highly recommend having a drink there.

Great cocktails, best Moscow Mule I've had and a lovely bar/atmosphere. Would be 5 stars if it weren't for the plastic straws, please please consider paper ones, or at least putting one straw per drink to cut down on waste.

Excellent Covid restrictions in place , felt perfectly safe. Had a two hour slot but would have preferred longer. Had a bottle of savignion white wine for £20 from NZ it was lovely and good value. Service faultess. Thoroughly enjoyed, will be going back

my experience in Y Banera was enjoyable . the service was excellent and the staff were friendly . whilst creating my cocktail the staff were happy to entertain and make my experience better in a whole. the cocktails could do with some practice but as it is a newly opened cocktail bar it is definitely still worth a visit.

One of two cocktail bars in Aberystwyth, Y Banera manages to win as far as comfort goes. The bar is open plan and receives a good amount of natural light. The menu is somewhat sparse, but the staff are willing to make drinks to request. Price is comparable with their competition. It can get a little bit loud, as well as being very warm.

My go to cocktail bar out of the two. I go there most weeks with my Fiancè and we enjoy some classic cocktails together like White Russians, which are always done to perfection every time. Even the mocktails are done with effort, considering the White Russian mocktail isnt printed on their menu! I go in with friends to have a catch up and a laugh and it's always a pleasure. The staff never fail to greet me with welcoming spirits and always up for a chat, even if I talk their ear off! Completely recommend to anyone joining aber for university or just a visit.

Stopped here for 4 hours, fantastic atmosphere great music cocktails and beer, no thanks to covid 19 you had to book but one of the staff members, Male about 5ft 9, navy shirt with palm tree leaves y braces welcomed us and stated that’s we may have to leave at 21:00hrs but luckily we didn’t we had 3 pints 3 bottled beers and two cocktails for £42 which I thought was worth every penny great service and thank you to the bar man who Looked after us, hidden gem of aber.
