Reviews of Yr Hen Orsaf - JD Wetherspoon
N. N. (.
Amazing restaurant in a very interesting location - old train station. Its polite staff provide very fast service. Prices are reasonable while food is really good quality, ideally hot and always well presented on a plate. I also love their long opening hours! Really recommend this place!
A. C.
Today is Tuesday, steak day at wetherspoons. its lunchtime and they've sold out of all steaks and mixed grills. What they do have is a fish and chips special for £3.99 . I decided to try this and I'm pleased I did. The staff I dealt with were very polite and friendly. I visit this wetherspoons every time I am in the area and I will continue to use it
A. P.
It's ok but don't get your hopes up for what you want off the menu as they often don't have it. Nice staff though and handy for the trains and buses.
J.
Food was okay
The gas wasn't working so half the menu was off.
Had to ask staff after the app was saying all the food was in stock but when you checked out it would cancel so it was just a guessing game of what was available
T. H.
Came here today good service good prices right at Aberystwyth railway station brilliant if your waiting for a train! Nice inside also! good job guys 🚂👍
J. E.
My Partner and I have just had lunch here .We didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive ,I ordered the boneless basket chicken with chips , it was really very nice , the chips was very tasty with a nice crispy coating and the chicken was perfectly cooked ,it was served with a barbecue sauce and coleslaw .My partner had the ultimate burger with chips and he said it was also very tasty .AND OUR MEALS WERE SERVED ON HOT PLATES . The pub was quite busy too but our food came out within 15 mins from the time we ordered . There are some new meals on the menu too ,mine being one of them .The portion sizes were very good too not huge to encourage food waste .
We have been here before but not for several years and have never been disappointed and we will definitely go back .
J. T.
Food was good... Beer was cold... Atmosphere was chilled... Nice pub for a quiet afternoon snack.
D. B.
Was accommodated with children for a meal on a Tuesday evening, large spacious pub with gallery above railway station. Mixed clientele, a decent pint and the usual good value and quality Wetherspoon food. Happy to recommend and return.
L.
Really pretty building - I absolutely love that it's a converted train station! Drinks came fast and so did food. It was all hot, freshly done and delicious! Staff are also really nice and attentive - making sure we had everything before leaving us with food. Couldn't fault it really - a good Wetherspoons experience in all.
D. G.
We visited during 7 - 10h October 2022.
Built by the Great Western Railway, in 1924, the old station "Yr Hen Orsaf" is now this Wetherspoon Pub/Resturant.
We were staying nearby in Clarach bay and we visited twice for Dinner one evening and Breakfast on our day of departure. Great location and even on a Friday night we had no problem finding a table for dinner.
Typical Wetherspoon menu that we like so ordering was quick & easy for us.
For both our Dinner and Breakfast visits the staff were very friendly and professional.
Our table was clean and on both occasions we we didn't have to wait long for our meals to be delivered to us.
All cooked very well, hot and tasty :)
We are both Wetherspoon fans and the "Yr Hen Orsaf" in Aberystwyth did not disappoint. Thanks to all the staff front of house and in the kitchens for two enjoyable visits.
Warm Regards, D & K G. Shropshire.

Grabbed some food with my son. Used the app. Very simple. Great service from the staff. The place was really busy but there were no delays on the food. Well done
a. h.
It's a Spoons. The beer's cheap, and the atmosphere's......also cheap.
The main discernible difference between Spoons branches is toilet quality.
The gents is situated at a reasonable distance for Spoons (ridiculous for any other venue!), but the walk was anticlimatic. The toilets were tatty and bland.
Will no-doubt return 😕
p. b.
Spoons is good for cheap booze but so often they can't do their food as well as they should, even for the price.
We ordered a breakfast muffin and a small breakfast. The breakfast came without a fried egg but had 3 hash browns. The server said there were signs saying they had no eggs and the hash brown was a replacement. There was a sign on some tables explaining this, apparently. I pointed out that my wife's breakfast muffin did have an egg. Apparently this must have been the last one they had. Guess it's best to order at the bar as the app didn't mention any shortage of eggs.
Usual response in today's media fuelled climate was that there were no eggs due to the cost of living crisis and probably brexit/Ukraine/the Conservatives etc. Morrisons had a shelf with thousands of eggs but seems that spoons managers are not allowed to take the initiative and go and find items.
Expect to be dissapointed at spoons and you won't be dissapointed!

Called in on Tuesday, steak night - no steaks left. Ordered chili instead. This arrived without the sour cream. The waitress said they were out of that and were offered an alternative. There were quite a few drinks unavailable from the menu that evening too. Overall a disappointing visit from what is usually excellent. The staff are always helpful and polite. The restaurant is always busy as it's very popular with the local students. I'm sure the lack of food and drink is a "one off". It certainly won't deter me from future visits.
O. E.
Great bunch of staff. Drinks are cheap and the food is good. Would reccomend for a family friendly atmosphere 👌
j. s.
We stayed with a great view of the platform for our 2 yr old boy to enjoy and train spot. The staff are so awesome and helpful. Food was lovely and came out quickly.
C. B.
Usual Wetherspoons menu, we had the Mongolian Curry which was lovely and hot. A few disappointments: nobody wearing masks, no screens between tables & the disable toilet definitely needed cleaning !
P. U.
It's ok but I see now we are no longer worried about COVID, as there are no screens between tables no staff wearing masks, just a little effort to clean tables a dry cloth tucked into you belt will do for a quick wipe of tables.plus I guess no time to check the loos I think! 😞 As can be sen from the photo they where busy ..NOT
D. C.
Good value food in a nice atmosphere. Staff very pleasant and hard working.
A. C.
Pretty standard spoons but excellent staff and unbeatable prices! Must travel over the border more often.
M. L.
Had breakfast here, quick service at the till and food arrived quickly as well. Was ok for. Place was cleanish (slightly sticky table) and tidy and not busy for the time I visited 9am on Sunday morning.
S. D.
Another Wetherspoons cheap and cheerful. This one is part of the railway station. Food and drink great value, staff seem very pleasant and the table service when ordering from the app was very quick.
m. w.
Couldn't fault them. Good range of drinks. Doombar £2.15 a pint! Food good quality and cheap delivered quickly to the table. Pub including toilets clean.
G. P.
All I've got to say good food good drink brilliant atmosphere brilliant bar staff. Go try for yourself won't be disappointed!!
Good times
R. R.
It's a great spoons as the beer terrace is on part of the platform.
A. B.
Much of a muchness in terms of the Weatherspoon chain. It seems to be well visited by all ages and has a constant flow of visitors. As for its menu it is cheap and cheerful ,in terms of cleanliness it is possibly better than a few I have frequented prior. It is busy and the staff is trying very hard to keep it clean, provide a service and still have a smile on their face whilst being very busy.
P.
Clean, pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. Nice to have the option to eat indoors, outdoors or under the Victorian glass ceiling of Aberystwyth train station!
P. H.
They had assorts of problems with food when we went there but the staff kept a brave face on it and were apologetic. It was possibly the busiest weekend this year for them and they must have lost a fortune!
S. L.
Always a nice place for breakfast/lunch.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and with it being a weatherspoons, plenty of drink options and very reasonable prices 👍🏼
g. w.
Friendly staff, quick service, great prices, lovely food. Shame there was no cod left but the scampi was delicious 😋
J. G.
Great food and cheap drinks, however took 3 hours for them to deliver onion rings despite repeatedly asking about it and was cold.
P. J.
Nice old building, presume it was the original station building. The outside area overlooks the platforms.
Service was quick and food tasty.
C. W.
Excellent food and Beer , friendly staff and clean premises
S. Y.
Alright service, and OK prices, but no atmosphere and the food, although there is nothing wrong with it, it really feels like they're just throwing the ingredients at a plate and hoping they stay on
L. Z.
Consistent food & beverage quality and the service you would expect from any Wetherspoons. And it is located at the train station - what’s not to like?
V. L.
Visited her on Easter Sunday for lunch as we had not booked we expect a long wait. However a very nice gentleman offered us his table, which had a small window overlooking the train station which our grandson was excited about. When we enquired about a child's menu the waitress explained that they had been removed as the price had gone up, but was happy to get us one. Our food arrived after about 10 mins of ordering which we found a reasonable waiting time, but the waitress was very apologetic about the delay.
Lovely food, excellent service and the locals were very friendly and helpful.
M. H.
Quite busy but found a booth to sit in, no child's menu available. Good came out incorrect and correct food delivered to another table. Once correct food arrived, it was pleasant enough but nothing special. Over all not a bad price for food ordered but won't be visiting again.
S. W.
It's time somebody took over this pub and got it managed properly, went there today no grill menu available again, not the first time in the past two months, dirty tables all through the pub, we cleaned our own table with wet wipes as we were fed up of waiting for someone to clean it, 4 out of 8 toilets working no loo roll . Come on weatherspoons WAKE UP
T. “. P.
Great place to meet, could have easily spent a few hours here. A great atmosphere outside under the old station canopy. Four pint round for less than a tenner.....it's no brainer, a must visit if you are in Aber !!
K. V. J.
Typical weatherspoons but the only one on a station, you can literally sit outside and basically on a platform and watch trains come and go, sadly not much to see train wise though haha! Good value and good choices for food and drink, can't go wrong with a weatherspoons. Have been many times and would happily go back.
S. S.
Warm and cozy haven on a cold winter's day! The ambience was lovely and the atmosphere was friendly with families streaming in at all times. The food portions were massive and we got done great deals on the drinks. I would recommend you order through their app whiles you're there.
S. M.
Normally a nice local Wetherspoons with a nice family atmosphere, good food & pleasant staff. Alas Friday afternoon felt like it had been taken over by an entire mob which was in fact 5 scaffolders who just got drunker & drunker and noisier as they drank. Made the place feel quite uncomfortable if not intimidating & that was for a single man. Wetherspoons need to review their policy on individuals like this
D. A.
Been here a few times when visiting Aberystwyth. It's a nice pub with good beer and food. Only problem this time was that it took a while to clear the table from the previous family.
H. J.
Great for drinks in and there was a quiz night unfortunately due to ceiling damage one part of the restaurant was closed for safety and it was too warm outside for the baby but friendly staff and still enjoyed the drinks there 😊
S. D.
Pretty standard Wetherspoons, service was fast and food and drink was reasonably priced.
S. B. o. t. S.
It's a Weatherspoons, like many others. Great selection of beverages. However the soft drinks on pump were unavailable at our time of visiting. Plenty of people ordering food and waiting times seemed ideal. The venue is an old station and plenty of seating available. Staff courteous and polite.
N. G.
Food great and very quick but ladies toilets were a mess. Lots of out of order, puddles on the floor and broken toilet seats.
N. G.
A lot of items not available. Definitely need the app to see what is available.
Drinks were promt and food was very nice and service was good
D. R.
Excellent service from staff member Keia, she knows what’s is
H. M.
Good restaurant in the station with plenty of local parking. Toilets could be cleaner.
D. J.
Always like coming here but this time the wife had to send her meal back as the pudding was cold in the middle, couldn't fault my fish n chips though and got to say it's the best fish I've had all week down here on holiday.
M. G.
Nice Venue and good food.
Downside was the toilets only 1 open out of 8 ladies there.
R. V.
This place was a godsend to us travelers from the states with no cell service. It was a blessing to have free WiFi, plus great food and service.
K. L.
As usual a great Wetherspoons smack bang on Aberystwyth railway station. Very friendly staff and good selection of beers ☺️☺️
S.
Can't really fault the place,a few errors but staff are really nice and food is tasty and a bargain.. The cheese and ham Pannni is really nice ..
M. L.
I had a family lunch here, I decided as we were all sat down, to order via the app. It worked perfectly and the delivery was swift from great staff. The food was good, a varied selection of burgers and curries that I ordered were good quality and filling. Excellent value. The only disappointment was that there was nothing available off the festive menu which we were eager to try... I made a couple of visits and it was no availability on each occasion. But hey, always next time. If you haven't tried it, you should. It's not 'Fine dining' but the dining is much better than just 'fine'
D. A.
Great experience we had trying to get a pigeon out of the eating area. Great eating place the staff and food was quickly served also good. Seating outside in the sun in the afternoon. Great value for money 💷
t. b.
I love this spoons! The fact it is situated in the train station fascinates me. Get off the train and straight into Spoons hey what more do u need
A. M.
Despite being very busy our drinks arrived promptly by polite staff. Just take a seat and order via the app. We didn't have time to eat but the food that kept passing our table looked great.
M.
It was Ok but the of the building heating system did not seem to be up to its normal output!
S. W.
We went in there for something to eat and both nights the grill was broken. Drinks are very reasonable and the staff very good.
D. E.
Fantastic quality drink and food. Freindly staff very welcoming.
A. P.
Great prices for food and drinks. Good atmosphere and friendly service.
C. D.
Decent Wetherspoons Pub right on the railway station. Fair selection of Real Ale and other drinks. Nice outdoor seating front and back, and a nice conservatory area. Handy for having a drink or meal whilst waiting for the train, or to quench your thirst after alighting. It's a Wetherspoons, so it does what it says on the tin. Would definitely visit again when in Aberystwyth
w. o.
Nice food, very reasonable price and large portion, would recommend
R. I.
As with all Spoon's establishments. Untouchable on price and excellent food and drinks. Much needed this day and age of rip off everything
J. A.
Standard Wetherspoons service, food and drink that you'll get elsewhere, but it's the venue itself that's worth the visit. The outdoor courtyard backs onto the railway station so you get to see all the trains arriving and departing - Very unique!
C. A.
Always enjoy going here. Usually a decent set of ales on the go and service time is quick with a smile. Always nice to sit and enjoy a swifty whilst visiting Aberystwyth.
T. E.
Had breakfast this morning good quick service good coffee lovely food but food wasn't hot verging on cold really need to improve on that
F. F.
Lovely setting within the station and the town is great. One of the better Wetherspoons out there tbh, served quickly and food service was excellent.
S. C.
Absolutely beautiful.
Very friendly staff.
Quick service.
Clean and tidy.
Toilets were immaculate.
Very happy customers.
😊👍😍
P. H.
Nice weatherspoons, right next to train station which can be helpful, friendly staff and usual weatherspoons quality you expect, great experience
T.
Nice Wetherspoon, just all about the food, 3pm, bussy place and they run out of all steaks, ( no any grill mix available ) some of the currys 🤦♂️
S. W.
Nice Wetherspoons , in an old railway station building.
Same food etc. As any other spoons.
A. N.
Large weatherspoon free house, gets pretty busy early dinner time / evening, good variety of food and drink.
E. J.
Very nice food, good friendly staff and service.
B. W.
Very nicely positioned within Aberystwyth train station. Big pub, loads of seating, bit of a squeeze at the bar in places but very cheap. I got a pint of Beatlemania with an unlimited tea and it was over a pound cheaper than getting just one pint of Heineken at my local. Great place whilst awaiting train to Barmouth
K. J.
Staff were lovely with my daughter and food was ok. Place is a bit shabby.
D. H.
Cheap, cheap cheap...beautiful building, friendly staff, good food, good location and the drinks are as cheap as chips, what more could you ask for ?
J. S.
Usual Wetherspoon fare which was reasonably priced whilst enjoying air-conditioning on. A hot summer day.
I. W.
One of the best weatherspoons ive visited . Staff pleasant and helpfil . Food very good too. Thanks
E. E.
Great venue within station. Helpful staff. Good coffee, good value. Food also fine.
E. V.
Great location right by the train station. Able to order on your Wetherspoon app which makes the service smooth and easy. Good selection of foods and drinks for any occasion. And if you enjoy a drink, the taxi line is only few steps away to get you back home.
k.
Absolutely splendid service, the cookie dough sandwich and the warm chocolate brownie with ice cream were so top notch that we almost cried, the mini size were absolutely perfect quantity, leaving me sustained and happy. The staff were also incredibly polite and cheerful. By far the greatest restaurant that I have attended in the entirely of my long life.
H. B.
Delicious veggie sausage, cheesy mash, peas and gravy. Quick service too!
W.
Went in for a drink, a lovely setting and you even get to watch the trains come in.
L. C.
Super efficient staff unfortunately there is no clear management on queuing. Apart from that, great to see Wetherspoons keeping their costs down in these really challenging times.
P. S.
Evening started good a few of the food choices had run out but what we had was good basic food service was good to start with, then my husband asked for his coffee refill then again and again and again none of these requests were actioned so we left with out a second cup. Also one of our friends ordered a drink but unfortunately couldn't drink it as it took over 20mins to arrive by which time we had to leave due to Train arriving, but he did get a cash refund all in all it could have been better as they were not massively busy
A. S.
Staff are good, beer is always good. Food is always nice. What's not to like. Monday has cheaper beers a definite bonus. For students... pre drink venue as plenty of large group tables. Seating outside for the shorts and flip flop crew. The toilet is not too far upstairs. Enjoy.
М. Б.
Amazing lemb curry! Good choice of beer. View to railway deadlock :)
R. F.
Service was good and food was nice although plate looked fairly empty when it arrived with a burger and a small scoop of chips. Was followed upstairs by a member of staff who watched me struggle with my walking stick until I reached the floor the toilets was on. At this point he told me there was disabled toilets downstairs. Other than that staff was friendly and the pub was clean.
M.
Really nice setting and for the money, the food is great.
I. Q.
The food is nice ( for pub chain food and if excluded the always rock hard peas), it's reasonable clean, but the app for ordering food is slow and way to complicated to use. If you already use a barcode to order, why not do that for the menu too? Scan barcode and food is selected. Or have a tablet for each table and you select it there, won't need any paper menu than.
J. G.
Always lush food supper friendly staff
L. E.
Once the football supporters had gone we had a very enjoyable lunch. My friend and I love Weatherspoons when we are out for the day - we have a meal deal - fish and chips and a glass of wine. Excellent food, excellent service and usually in a sympathetically converted old building.
D. R.
As wetherspoons go, one of the best. Lovely establishment, kind and helpful staff and food 10/10, highly recommended 👌.
C. S.
How u run out of ketchup on a Sunday? Stella on tap tho , thanks
R. A.
Always pop in to this place when I am in aberystwyth for a quick meal! Was alright, my fried eggs were over cooked but I still ate them as I was hungry & couldn't be bothered to send them back as there was a woman passed out on the floor at the time that the staff were all dealing/helping with at the time. We couldn't get what we wanted to eat due to a supply issue with the chicken not being delivered so we had to go up to the bar 3 times to finally be able to order some food that they did have in stock! Having said all that, none of the issues I've raised have anything to do with the pub staff who were all working hard doing the best they could under the circumstances so to the staff I give 5 stars 🌟 hate that there is a much smaller menu than there once was but I suppose that's down to the covid and supply issues also!!!!
B. L.
Very conveniently placed large Wetherspoons at the rail station. All the usual fayre, but this one had better guest real ales than usual on my one visit.
H. B.
Really busy some food out of stock could have been because of busyness. Food was okay though, but we had to clearer our own table of other people's glasses and ladies toilets had blocked toilets . And sauces hadn't been refilled thats why the 3☆ rating .
J. P.
Perfect fast service excellent
and home filling stuff excellent food 👌
D. M.
This is my favourite weather spoons pub. It's got so much character been in the railway station and platform under traditional glass covered seating.
The staff are very good at their job and friendly.
For me the only downside is that there were no TV to watch the football.
R. M.
Friendly and helpful staff in our experience. Food was good as well.
K. D.
Visited here Friday night just after arriving in town. Excellent quailty food and piping hot. Really friendly staff.
C. H.
Really nice, staff were very friendly too.
C.
Prices are good as it's a spoons, food is good value and drinks are good. Good atmosphere when we visited, have been 9 or 10 times total always left happy. Its a good pub.
K. B.
Very good. Staff are friendly and the soft drinks are good
D. H.
I've been here before and couldn't fault it.
This time however the beer was cloudy and a meal order was slightly wrong (we wanted a plain burger).
Having said that, the problem with the meal was quickly sorted.
The other meals in the group were OK but nothing special.
B. P. (.
Beautiful building,Food was amazing, but that's not what the 5 stars. We were served by Evan and honestly his awesome service made this a 5 star review, as a red haired member of staff was kinda rude. Everyone else however was lovely, Evan however ..total legend
K. D.
Just a quick coffee stop on our travels. Took ages to get served at the bar....not the best
M. C. W. (.
Happy faces and a decent pint! Don't go in the pup3's much these days but so nice to have someone serving who was smiling ,amongst all the misery a nice welcome home after a spell away😁
s. s.
Slightly disappointed no fish available but very pleased with alternative choice of mixed grill and fiesta burgers which were extremely tasty
I. S.
Ideal for a relaxing beer after doing a stint on the Rali Bae Ceredigion
G.
Great place service was the best I've experienced in a Wetherspoons
A. R.
Cheap, cheap real ale and a decent meal at a cheap price.
B. S.
After a lovely day in Aberystwyth, and finally being able to catch up with a few friends, I popped into 'Spoons' for half a Punk IPA before heading home. Everyone seemed to have the same idea, so it began to get pretty busy, a lot of family groups and like myself - a few single oldish ladies, every other section of society rolled in, which is partly why I like the place so much! I only had 20 mins before my bus. Oh they so did their best but the barrel was being changed, leaving me only four minutes to drink my beer! So I took it easy and caught the next bus. Perfect.
B. B.
Typical 'spoons' pub. So breakfast was ok. Unlimited coffee from a machine was ok.
Location very good.
Centre of town.
Next to railway station. Staff friendly and helpful. Food came quickly I was cycling so the fact that the staff let me put my bike and kit in the open seating area of the platform right next to my table makes this a 4.
M. R.
Typical Wetherspoon's. Cheap and cheerful. Friendly and helpful staff
D. C.
Great staff lovely place to visit good food and 🍺
K. A.
Dheap prices, large selection of food and drinks, early opening.
C. M.
Had lovely fish and chips and lovely cold larger staff are pleasant and helpful loos needed a clean but the place was Very busy will be popping in again for a treat 😋
s. w.
Lovely Atmosphere
Food was lovely even though chicken was a little over cooked and tough to eat
B. C.
Great service. Fab real ales. Dining alone so ordering from the app and getting food and drink delivered to my table - priceless!
K. S.
Lovely food and staff are great x
Z. B.
It's like any other Wetherspoons really. Clean and well prepared for Covid regulations.
The member of staff on the door who showed us to our seat was lovely.
Had an issue with bar staff not listening to a request I made regarding a dietary issue.
Food was nice and drinks were too.
C. F.
Needs work doing to it ASAP. Service and food is good
R. B.
Food not to good but a good selection of beers
A. W.
Food was warm and tasty. Nice busy atmosphere
B. K.
The usual spoons, good value food and drink.
R. E.
Turned up for Steak Club on a Tuesday evening. Queued for 5-10 minutes outside before we were seated which wasn't too bad considering that we are a family of 5.
Ordered a round of drinks via the app while we waited to decide what to eat.
We found out via the app that there were no steaks available not even gammon.
Not once had this been mentioned to us despite us having spoken to at least 3 members of staff before being seated and then the member of staff who brought our drinks to us!
We eventually found out the the a/c was not working in the kitchen so they had shut down the grill!
All in all a pretty poor display!
A. D.
Good wehterspoon right by the station, great for a bite to eat or a quick drink before your train. Lots of tables meaning there's normally a place to sit without a wait. Staff are friendly.
c. t.
Frist time here , food was very good and service , only let down was basins not very clean in gents tolets.
G. R.
As usual great prices and very friendly staff
S. W.
This is a great Spoons! I now use their App exclusively and never wait more than 10 minutes for food. They have the best vegan choices anywhere so I can eat happily with non vegan friends and family. Oh and the toilets are amazing!!
B. B.
Spooner..
Tight with where you can drink.
No parking out the front...
Usual Spooner... Didn't eat but looked oka
D. B.
service was quick enough, food was a little cold,in a large breakfast 1 solitary small mushroom does not constitute large breakfast ,eggs were overdone, all in all not good value .
G. P.
Great big fat breakfast and great staff
G. W.
Nice pub at the station with an outside the pub inside the station seating area at the end of the platforms.
J. R.
Food has always been excellent. Service great and never waited long for drink or food. Can’t fault the place
J. J.
Never been in when it hasn't been busy. Lively pub. Good beer. Food comes out quick. Friendly helpful staff. Toilets could be cleaner and upstairs. This was a small issue with elderly parents. But they do have disabled toilets down stairs.
C. B.
Nothing fancy, but at less than £25 for 3 to eat and have a drink you can't complain.
Clean place full of friendly staff and people I couldn't ask for much more.
A. A.
First time ever in one. Very surprised . The food was excellent and very good value. A drink included. We will certainly be using them again.
L. J.
Food came out fast everyone seemed happy
S. R.
Great food and drinks at this lively pub.
S. D.
Just OK today, was very busy so food just ok
A. T.
Central location next to station and buses. Ideal for a meal and drink.
I. D.
Eat there a few time and can't complain
Nice place
Typical wetherspoons
Cheep food and drink
But lovely
H. E.
One of the best Spoons around, service is spot on and friendly staff
S. R.
Waited over an hour for food, eventually received it in minutes after querying. Unfortunately the food was hard as a rock after sitting under a hot plate for an hour! Staff handled the situation after being it brought to their attention. Received a refund and order in minutes.
s. e.
Cold, too many door and not enough space to avoid the draft.
S. M.
First time in an town establishment since Covid. Everything was clean and all fine. Had a very nice breakfast and coffee.
Friendly staff. Thank you.
J. A.
Pretty good considering how busy it was.
We walked from the sea front, but soon wished we hadn't as the place was packed. Were fortunate to grab an outside table that had just been vacated, at which point staff were actually stopping people coming in as it was so busy.
Ordered using the Wetherspoon app (why can't they add the current draft ales, which if you want one you have no choice but to order at the bar?), the wait for the food was reasonable. Only criticism was that we had to request to get the table cleared, after a member of staff had cleared the one right next to us that didn't currently have anyone sat there, yet never came back to clear ours?! After that the service as excellent, and the food and drinks of the usual consistently good standard.
Sitting outside was much more pleasant than being inside, but my tip would be to avoid a table around the outer edge if you're a non-smoker, as people smoke on the other side of the fence.
N. S.
Wonderful staff, great service. Food was delicious, as always in many Wetherspoons, but the setting of this 'Spoons is what makes it outstanding. The Old Station is lovely, retaining a lot of Railway Station features, with interesting old newspaper stories on the walls. The outside section at the back, looking over the main station, is perfect for sunny afternoons and warm evenings. It is covered so no need for a quick retreat if the weather turns. Well worth a visit when in Aberystwyth.
M. S.
Great service, excellent choice food and drinks very well priced.
R. J.
Quick and efficient service. Table clearing after use in busy times was slow. Even though staff delivering meals walked past finished plates after serving customer
W. P.
staff always friendly and courteous .Food well up to scratch!! One of the best we've eaten at.
R. P.
A good place to stop for refreshments before travelling onwards by either Rail, bus or road. Good friendly, hardworking staff.
We use it alot when going to visit friends.
g. l.
It's was ok but run out of some main meals
J. K.
Very attentive staff and even though the menu was limited there was still a good choice and the food was served by very pleasant people. The restaurant complies with all the covid regulations and we will definitely return next time we are in the area as we felt very safe and sound with the tables well apart.
A. P.
Ordered a curry and scampi two pints cam with the meal for £17 and a bit change. The food was fantastic value of money and nice ambiance. Well done guys
l. l.
Grey place lovely building, good service nice atmosphere
B. L.
Good atmosphere, I had the Pasta Alfredo which was delicious. Friendly staff and clean toilets.
Highly recommended!
T. W.
Nice meal. Good value.
A. P.
Food was Great arrived placed order drinks arrived within 5 mins food 15 we were very impressed there was 5 of us and all five plate were empty at the end
J. O. (.
I have yet to meet a kinder group of staff! The food is consistent, and consistently good. There is disabled access to the rearward entrance (backing onto the train station), and there is an almost homely atmosphere. This is not your average slapdash spoons. Go here, I cannot recommend it enough
T. E.
Typical weatherspoons. Clean and helpful staff.
m. w.
Good beer and good food at reasonable price
R. J.
A typical 'Spoons, with polite and friendly staff and a good selection of drink. There's always someone clearing and cleaning the tables. Located next to both bus and train station, a d across the road from the shops, you couldn't be more centrally located. An outside seating area, situated at the front. Another area next to the station (very pleasant). Gode coffee always.
W. S.
It's a Wetherspoons! , you know what you gonna get ....plus for this one watching train arrive at station.😁
M. C.
Great value, had the large breakfast which was lovely. Its was fairly busy and ot alot of staff but they still managed a quick, efficient and friendly service.
D. M.
Dropped in half way travell quick service polite staff
L.
Good food, excellent service and the staff courteous, helpful and kind.
P. W.
This wetherspoons is at the entrance to Aberystwyth Station, it has plenty of space and option to eat and drink looking onto the present Station, staff very helpful and friendly ,we had a breakfast here which was good value for money and set us up for rest of the day ,over all a very pleasant start to our day in an unusual setting, will definitely return on our next visit to Aberystwyth
K. K.
Ok food if you want something quick to eat. Burger was quite dry. We had the empire. It was very very busy there so maybe why.
R. M.
Great place good beer and cheap
J. D.
Good spoons, and love the way people queue to be served. Again not enough staff behind the bar which is probably a fault of the company itself. Other than that: clean, good value, nice food and nice outside area on the old station platform.
r. w.
The food was very nice and reasonably priced but as others have said before me, staff, really. I literally had one of my drinks thrown at me with no sorry or shall I top that up mate. He seemed to have no interest in me, maybe because I am a 47 yo bloke and not a young lady, who knows. But the food was nice. Very nice actually, and worth a visit. Just make sure you have a coat.
T. B.
Staff friendly and price's not bad
C. R.
Great atmosphere for the public and its near for the public to catch the train to wherever they go
B. H.
Great place staff very pleasant great prices
F. B.
Your average spoons, does get busy at times.
B. K.
Food was bad the chicken burger was extremely over cooked and not nice at all.
There was a rude customer swearing 🤬 at the staff and being unbelievable rude, I expected him to be asked to leave instead they played to his demands and let him stay to get worse
M. H.
Very nice Spoons what more can you say
I. S.
Good pub, well priced ales and good affordable food. As expected. Recommended.
P. S.
Great food, reasonable prices
M. E.
Nice food, drink and atmosphere.
M. E. -. J.
No queues for a change and were served almost immediately. Food was hot and beer/wine good. We only waited 10 mins or so before the food came out. Staff cleared the tables as soon as they were vacated. A vast improvement from the last time we ate there.
C. R.
Interesting 'Railway' type of 'spoons pub. Popular and can be very busy at times. You can actually watch the trains arrive and leave, so makes a much better place to wait than the official station facility. Only problem, is than in winter it can be quite cold inside, due to the large amount of glass walling and a large number of entrance doors. Food and drinks and service all good.
D. S.
Good really, food was okay, staff were busy but got round to us after a while, would use again though..
M. W.
As for Weatherspoon's it has a really nice (tidy!) and unusual (train station!) Interiors! Really tasty and well prepared food, good variety of drinks (cask beers 💓) and (traditional for this chain) very reasonable prices. Polite and fast service and I can give very high as for this sort of hospitality business 4/5
B. E.
Basic....it is what it is!...carpets did look a bit sad ...panel that separated the middle aisle kept shaking ..if offer condiments offer the range not just the basic...
J. H.
This is quite a nicely laid out 'spoons. Has plenty of space even when it's busy. Part of it is located in the old ticket hall of the station. Although the food is OK and they do offer some local dishes. The place doesn't feel very clean. They collect plates but never saw them wipe the tables.
J. B.
Typical Wetherspoons environment. Clean and tidy with friendly staff. It was nice and cool inside which was appreciated. I got served promptly but the beer that I wanted was not available, despite having the pump clip on display. Nevertheless, there was nothing really to complain about.
M. H.
Busy on arrival, but staff doing a good job managing all the current Covid expectations and seated us quickly.
Did all the ordering via app and everything arrived very promptly. A good spoons experience!
D. M.
Mniam! Everyday menu. Nice atmosphere in classic railway building. Free cofee/ tea/ soft drink refills. 3 for £10 and other deals. If you're not sure if you would like your choice of beer -just ask and you get a wee taste. Recommended as most Wetherspoons.
G. F.
Unique pub, even for Wetherspoons. Quirky but the same high level of service as always.
B. C.
Menu needs improving. Vegetables seem to be an extra and portion sizes have been reduced.
S. D.
Love this weatherspoons! It's a great meeting place so close to the train station...it's literally on the platform. The food is fab, staff friendly and they can handle a full house easily. Never had to wait more than 20 mins for food. The loos are clean too! And the 'beer garden' is lovely in the summer.
M. M.
Excellent food. Service was quick and happy. Recommend for food.
Good choice of drinks and ability to order via smartphone app to the table. Love it. Does cut out human connection though but still...
M. S.
Nice conversion a better wetherspoons cheap prices ale selection a bit boring
J. M.
The food is usually decent and very affordable, but in contrast it's almost always over-crowded and service can sometimes be a little slow or inaccurate. Chair placements a little awkward in the main (larger) indoor area too.
Cost-effective, but not reliable.
J. K.
Not a relaxing experience but efficient and cheap.
A. B.
Had a great time here whilst on a weekend break to Aberystwyth, one of the best places to drink, busy place, lots of atmosphere and of course the drinks are cheap
J. O.
Setting and prices were great. Toilets were a bloody crime scene.
M. P.
This is the a Wetherspoons and as such should be treated like such.
The food is exactly what you pay for, and arrives quickly. There is normally a good selection of drinks available. What makes this pub stand out though is the outside seating, which is both protected against the local seagull population with netting, and also has a good view of the train station.
C. M.
Out of 4 meals 2 had to be sent back because of the state of the food. The food when it did arrive correctly was nice, the staff were very helpful.
L. B.
Big sized "spoons" set within the rail station. Plenty of room coupled with a pleasant and friendly staff, make this a great place for a meal and a drink.
J. _. J.
Good central location in town, went in the evening and for breakfast during our quick visit - can't fault it!
U.
I'd say the biggest restaurant in aberystwyth is this wetherspoons as it is accessible from the very start as the train station is literally built around the restaurant itself. Usually very busy but the food and the service is exceptional. I also personally really like the hot chocolate deal.
B. C.
Nice spoon guess we're the toilets are
R. M.
Very enjoyable breakfast, quick service and attentive staff. 5 stars in my book. Enjoying a spot of lunch before train home.
M. E.
Defiabtely one of the best Wetherspoons. Only misses a five star rating because it seems to have a much more limited menu than most. The ale selection was great and the service was really friendly. Amazing beer garden in the old station.
T. S.
Good food and great value.
A. L.
Always busy, but plenty Of knowledgeable staff and plenty of space, tables in, out and under conservatory & side of platform. Food as you would expect of Wethersoons. HATE!!!! the toilet facilities up two flights of stairs, smelly, scruffy, locks damaged, no soap, dryers really poor. Walls splashed & stained under dryers, frankly seen better public ones.
H. A.
Busy but good food, quickly served. Lovely building.
K. W.
Actually went here twice for lunch on our holiday in Wales. Food was delicious. Could sit in or in the covered outside area. Covid measures were in place.
G. W.
Good place to have a drink waiting for your train to come in at Aberystwyth Station
N. H. 1.
Fast efficient service using the app but not required. Social distancing deployed but expect queues in the evening because unlike nearby places, reservation in not required. Some items on their standard menu were not available.
L. H.
Excellent service. I use the app to order my food instead of going up the bar as I've noticed the food comes so much quicker. Never been dissapointed by this place. Food and drinks are affordable. Staff are polite and helpful. Will definitely recommend.
J. B.
Werherspoons was a great place to eat! Plus was very relaxed! And i enjoyed my meal! Service was quick and the waitress was very nice and friendly!
j. H.
Nice place rite near the train station plus delicious food had the fish and chips
R.
Really cool atmosphere to be able to sit out in the train station. Everything else is just standard Spoons.
S. A.
This may sound strange considering it's a pub and a W-spoons at that but this is possibly the best place to eat in Aberystwyth. We often dine here and it's always full of groups eating and drinking, families, couples and uni groups. The food is fast, hot and good. I guess it's like Guinness, the more you sell the better it is.
The beer is always good too, great selection of bottles, cans and draught at standard 'spoons prices.
S. H.
We have been eating at this pub for quite a few years. Could do with the tables clearing of empty plates and a good wipe clean more regularly. The food is ok but not one of the best Wetherspoons we visited. We have had problems with meals but sorted out without hassle. Our last visit was disappointing, after my third choice off the menu as they had run out of most items. I was given a sirloin steak which was very thin, overcooked and nothing but gristle and fat. It was replaced by a steak that was a little better quality. Very unfortunate as I have eaten the sirloin steak in other Wetherspoons and they have been of higher quality, thicker, cooked perfect, very delicious and normally I would recommend for the price
C. B.
The gent behind the bar that took my breakfast and drink order looked as if he would rather be anywhere else than there today. It's hard I know, I work Sundays serving people, but you have to be hospitable and cheerful.
A smile goes a long way.
W. J.
Yr Hen Orsaf is a Wetherspoons establishment that has been incorporated into the old railway station in Aberystwyth, West Wales. Situated near the centre of the town, it serves hot and cold drinks, hot and cold food with a choice of tables within the building, outside on the station frontage or outside in the covered station area. There is a special children's menu. You order at the bar and it is waiter/waitress service after that. The unique ambiance afforded by the railway station setting (you can see the trains and platform from the eating area) makes this a great pace to take families or meet up with friends for food and drink.
J. S.
Too slow getting people in. Waited 20 mins in queue outside when there were plenty of tables free. Good food as usual. Lacking condiments.
R. W.
Good value drinks. Disappointing food. Sirloin Steak overcooked and full of gristle. Couscous salad good. Nice location, former railway hotel and handy while waiting for the train.
S. D. B.
Like all weatherspoons you know what you are going to get! Only downside was a couple of local comments about myself and partner being English and dirty! when visiting Wales, even obeying face coverings ☹️
R. M.
Service a bit slow but overall a nice place to eat and drink,One gripe is the staff don't seem to do a thorough cleaning regime of the tables when they are empty (They don't clean the whole table properly just a quick wipe over )
P. B.
Exceptionally pleasant restaurant essentially a renovated railway station that has been done with care for the past. Delicious lasagne and side salad delivered quickly and efficiently. Recommended.
E. S. J.
Good food, a little grubby but they seemed busy. Nice to view the trains although we only saw one 😅
R. L.
Excellent food and service here and friendly staff
G. O.
Busy location as it's in the main train station area but definitely good while waiting for a train or just to grab a quick bite to eat. Affordable and tasty. Also good range of craft beer on draught.
M. P.
Great branch of the well known chain. Food was fantastic and friendly service. Will visit again no doubt!!!
D. H.
Typical Weatherspoons station/town centre pub. The wide range of beers are well kept and served by pleasant and knowledgeable staff. The food was to Weatherspoons, usual high standard. I would add that despite our visit being on an extremely busy Tuesday lunchtime, our food arrived far quicker than we expected and my steak was cooked just as requested. Good on yr Hen
M. H.
Average pub. Cannot really comment on the quality of the food as I only went there for a drink before my train was due. Excellent place to relax of your waiting for your train. Easy access to the platform so there is no need to rush
R. S.
Nice meal, inexpensive. Cheap drinks. Good selection of lagers and ales.
r. n.
Usual top value food and beer weve come to expect from wetherspoons .. keep it up !!!🍻
M. W.
For a wetherspoons of that size I'd expect more staff to clean up tables and give them a bit of a whipe ,food was ok ,kids like it so 👍🏻
E. G.
Exactly what you expect from Wetherspoons - quick service, good food and great atmosphere.
D. W.
Service was quick we went on curry day which is a Thursday, very surprised at 1pm that 2 of the currys were sold out which is a bit of a surprise as curry Thursdays have been running for years in the spons pubs. Maybe there was a mad rush for both of the currys we wanted. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Had the Shipyard ale on draft very nice and was served well and appeared to have been looked after.
A. J.
Cracking little boozer, light and roomy. Centrally located, foods reasonably priced, not cheap, but good quality. I'd recommend. Pint of strongbow fruits and a San Miguel six pound odd. Not bad really
E. C.
Lovely pub, with a standard menu like all weatherspoons you are guaranteed to enjoy something on offer. Five nights out of Seven there are special offers so it's a place to fit anyone's budget. Plenty of seating inside and during the hotter days of the year seating out front and back (non-smoking out back, smoking out front). Plenty of spirits and beers for everyone's palette with changing guest Ciders and Beers regularly so you can always try something new. Disabled entrance to the rear through the back seating area inside the train station.
D. W.
Decent breakfast, quick service
P. M.
Ordered on the app, food & drink delivered quickly. Food was good. Staff really pleasant.
A. l. b. o. e.
very crowded alot of the time, but lovely atmosphere, amazing food and service is polite and quick. There are large upstairs toilets and a view over the train track whilst you eat your meal.
t. r. j.
Visited your bar on the 9_8_2018 and was very disappointed to find that you have stopped the breakfast and sausage bap .I don't want a breakfast. Always looked forward to a bap .There is an alternative bacon or sausage sandwich priced at over 3£. A big increase ..Can you have second thoughts .
E. D.
Nice place especially if you like train's typically weathspoons
R. J.
Very busy place with limited number of 'normal' table chairs - most are bar stools.
Friendly staff, good atmosphere and good range of hot food, including vegetarian dishes.
C. S.
I used the Wetherspoons app for the first time. Sign up is easy then you just put in your table number food an drink you want an it's all bought to the table within minutes (very impressed) even though it was really busy. Great service at a reasonable price!! all paid for on line via PayPal. There are other payment methods available card etc. I just wish it was closer to home as I would be using the pub often.
C. G.
Great pub situated in the old railway station building with views onto the platform. Not exactly posh, but great food, served fairly quickly, and a nice pint at a nice price. Very good and not expensive.
k. w.
Miserable baldy barman, but everyone else pleasant
A. H.
Spoons. Same as every other, but really chill staff. What do you expect?
M. W.
Full of students as you'd expect but food good, beer good, service good. Would recommend but try and find a student free spot unless you want to shout across the table all night to be heard by your friends
M. F.
Large building, was previously the station house and still has access to the track platform. Cheap drink and food combos in the menu. App allows you to order and pay for food and drink at your table, which was interesting. Would go again.
C. H.
Typical Wetherspoon pub in a university town, very popular with the students on the days we visited.
Service was good setting is nice, the outdoor seating area is undercover and if you like trains is a good place to sit.
G. H.
Everything you’d expect from your typical Wetherspoons. Though Aber is a student town so it can get rowdy, especially on Tuesday evenings as that’s student night.
There’s no on site parking and the surrounding streets are usually very busy, there is a retail car park nearby though.
The steak was amazing!
p. j.
Staff lost table number then made no attempt to find customer. Food was then reheated poppadoms were soggy and curry had a skin
J. H.
Just situated by the Coach stop called there on the way too and from Snowdonia a welcome relief excellent service super clean toilets gets a thumbs up from me
M. T.
Pleasant staff and although there was a limited menu, we were all happy with our food.
M. D.
Standard Wetherspoon's. Good value.
One bad point is the main entrance has a step which isn't great for wheel chair users. Plenty of room between step and doorway for a gentle ramp install at little cost to the empire.
C. D.
Great beer, great food, friendly staff. Comfortable. What else do you need?
C. D.
Normal weather spoons but kitchen had closed when we arrived and the app only displayed via stating out of stock when anything was ordered!
A. M.
Standard Spoons experience. Keenly priced munch and beer
Friendly staff 👍
a. d.
We visited this pub it is a central location and on the station platform, the staff worked well to keep customers safe and with the wetherspoons app you are able to order and pay from your table.
L. W.
Good sized Wetherspoons located at the end of the platform at Aberystwyth railway station with a good sized outdoor area. Very helpful staff, but sadly on my visits (Jan 18, 19 & 20th) they lacked numerous items from the menu. Further issues were the cask beer selection, it was too generic, but luckily I did manage to sample the local brews on my last two visits (which were excellent) Another issue is the coffee, it was basically filter or nothing? As with most Wetherspoons, it can get busy at peak times & today 1.30pm on 20th it is horrendous with numerous screening kids and parents who don't give a hoot....its so bad its almost unbearable. You can't fault Wetherspoons business model, but if you're seeking a quiet drink then look elsewhere!
M. W.
Had a breakfast here. Ordered on the phone app and breakfast was bought to us within 10 mins. Was lovely 😊 love food from here. Always hot and very affordable if u go with family 😊👍
J. W.
One of the best Witherspoon's we have used, food service was quick and HOT, decor was excellent, beer was great. Why can't my local Wetherspoons be anything like as good ?
S. H.
Situated at Aberystwyth train station, overlooking the end of the line, so something out of the ordinary straight away.
Usual standard of food and drinks.
Friendly, hard working staff and good table service.
S. b.
Same Wetherspoons, food good, hot and relatively quick to the table, considering they were very busy.
C. K.
My local pub, always good service
D. L.
Place was busy, but still good food great loacation. And fast service. What more can you ask for everything priced fairly. Will come back again.
K. J.
Staff friendly and efficient, food ok for a Saturday afternoon treat 😁
T. C.
Landed up here as everywhere else seemed to be shut.
It is a Weatherspoons cheap food but nothing special.
I went for the Celtic Cottage pie as I was in Wales and there was no salmon and the like on the menu my wife opted for the Welsh Dragon Sausage and mash.
Mine was a little over microwaved and was toufh in places my wife liked hers the spice added a little something to the normally bland fare.
Took ages to get across a cranberry juice and bitter lemon I got offered john Smith's and lemonade etc.
Not a place that will be too affected by the CEO's madness as a lunatic #brexidiot as the area is almost exclusively Welsh and few eastern Europeans have ventured this far.
J. L.
A very typical wetherspoons, nit a lot more to say
I. ..
Good staff, nice bits of the station architecture included in the pub, good selection one or two issues with card payment
A. S.
Fab food friendly relaxed atmosphere
D. B.
Spacious, quiet, relatively cheap. Good spot before or after train journey to catch up over a meal and/or drink, or if you want a quieter few beers out.
C. K.
Quick service, reliably good food. With the touch screen allergy menu and filters it's now easier to find what you can eat.
U. S.
Friendly staff, decent food that didn't take long and filled us up without costing the earth. Could have been cleaner though, our table was dirty...
T. S.
Can't not love a spoons.
A. P.
Hey Joe Biden baby, when you gone take us out on a date?
N. C.
Usual Wetherspoon's pub drinks and food, fairly spacious with two outdoor dining areas 👍
G. S. C.
Lovely staff, very busy on evenings. Not always well stocked for food. For a great place to eat and chill.
S. T.
Friendly staff, great conversion of railway station premises
P. B.
Any Wetherspoon fan will definitely love this place which is obviously already very popular 🙂
S. W.
Food was great, portion sizes are big and fab value for money. Only thing I would say is that the pub itself was really hot and stuffy. Needs aircon
W.
I love this place. What a safe haven, great toilets, endless great coffee and nice food. The staff were lovely too, very friendly and inclusive.
J. E.
Handy location right next to the train station, called in for breakfast after a train journey, had the breakfast wrap and coffee with free refills both very good, had a wander round Aberystwyth, very beautiful and then called back in again for a drink whilst waiting for the train, will definitely visit again.
S. N.
Solid Wetherspoons. Friendly staff, possibly due to the location. Food was pretty good, fast service and actually quite a nice building and layout attached to the train station.
Appears to get pretty busy so finding a table could be difficult at times.
M.
Has a lovely ambience and good seating arrangements. Food served is good and helpings are generous. A great place to to have a leisurely meal.
R. B. T.
Nice Wetherspoons with cosy inside seating as well as outside seating. Decent food and drink options.
There are options for large groups and a quieter area for couples/smaller groups.
Popular across the board
D. W.
Good services very reasonably priced beer. Good location
A. C.
Very nice breakfast.
N. H.
Really nice view and food. Only thing was, I didn't like the fact that the toilets were upstairs as I had difficulty getting up there but other than that it is a great wetherspoons
N. B.
Had the dragonfly curry today on the special 5.99. It blew my head off but was great. Always a nice place to grab some lunch with kids
J. J.
Nice pub friendly staff quick clearing tables etc .
J. M.
Good experience, all orders by app, service in minutes, not much waiting even for the food. Well done all round, we felt very safe.
S. R.
Lovely breakfast. One of the only spoons, not had a pint of beer in.
C. T.
It's what you expect from a Wetherspoons pub nothing more nothing less.
J. B.
Food was OK not the best service waiting staff not as helpful as before lock down
m. J.
Love the new look, even if it seems a bit crowded when busy.i recognised most of the staff from using weather spoons on a regular basis.we have eaten here often went last night for a meal, menu not really changed so why so many problems .?.i had skinny chicken burger with bacon, the outside of the the chicken breast was really tough and bacon even though cooked hadn't been on griddle or, had but not enough time to warm it through ( it was obviously bought in cooked) chicken was at a different temp to chicken.shame really ,but I could of done that in 15mins at home and saved a bit of money.i must add my other half had steak and enjoyed it.the waitress said to several people who weren't happy and had undercooked food or wrong orders that they had new staff. sorry not a good excuse if they can't do the job they shouldn't be cooking untill fully trained ..i even heard a waiter say to a couple behind us you should really ask for a well done burger, they had one uncooked burger in the middle and then the second one was raw all the way through just brown on the outside.i,m a cook if there unsure probe it and turn it over and make a small cut into the meat product and make sure it's done by looking at it when turned right side up it still looks tidy..I didn't moan about mine because there were anough people unhappy near our table, but I would prefer either hot or cold chicken on my salad not just warm.i genuinely do understand it was mega busy and the staff were running round like headless chickens bless them.if you have waited a while I,m sure most people would wait a few minutes longer and get fully cooked food and have someone make sure everything is same temp and or not overcooked.i am sure it,ll all be sorted in a day or two.its all team work so it's a shame when a couple of the members aren't quite doing the same as the rest.
N. E.
Lovely staff. Decent food. Really great for a spoons. Good vibes all round really
A. M.

Cramped weatherspoons and cold. Went as the family and squeezed up a corner and wasn't given enough cutlery. However I had the ham pizza it was divine!

Great big bar, with lots of seats, cheap and good food and cheap drinks. You can order stuff online and skip the queue, great place to start a night out with the boys

Good food, reasonably priced with a polite efficient service. Decor is rather dated but there's a huge menu, plenty be of seating and a family friendly atmosphere.
