The carvery was really nice, the staff were friendly and welcoming especially with my small children. The only thing I will say, is it could be cleaned a little better, the table needed a good scrub and they could definitely benefit from a hoover being run round, or even being swept quickly between customers. We will be back though, good value for money and good wine served!

Great starter offers. Good size starters. Pizzas are baked in proper ovens where you can see them being prepped. Guy cleans oven after every pizza very impressive. All members of staff are very helpful and attentive to provide what you require, overall a great experience and great pizzas too. Well done guys great service all around.

Took my mother for a carvery as I had not had one so far this year, entered this nice pub at 11:55 and was eating by 12:05, the carvery was as expected, I tried each meat for a change, the beef just melted in your mouth, the turkey was nice and juicy and the gammon had just the right amount of saltiness to it, awesome roast potatoes and gravy, excellent mash and stuffing, can't wait to return in November

I went for a carvery lunch with a friend today. I have an allergy to garlic, which is not on the UK list of allergens. The manager was wonderful! He checked everything that's supplied for the carvery, advising me what I should avoid. We had a really enjoyable lunch, and I'm happy to recommend this place to anyone. I'm on holiday from New Zealand, where we expect good service. The Ferry went above and beyond.

Had the carvery today, not only was it very good value for money but the food was cooked to perfection, the beef just melted in your mouth and no rock hard veg, was pretty close to perfect. The other half plumped for the crispy bbq chicken burger, gave it a 10/10 said it was absolutely delicious, (he should know he always has a burger) said it’s the best he’s had in a long time. Would very highly recommend, staff very friendly and prices very reasonable.

Called here today for the first time after the rebrand to a pizza restaurant and have to say I was a bit disappointed. The food was good - I had a pizza which was ready within 10 mins of ordering but my daughter who ordered the 'help yourself' carvery queued for 45 mins for her food. There was a TV on in the middle of the restaurant playing football so people were shouting at the game which was disturbing. Despite the food being good and well portioned, and prices reasonable I Probably wouldn't go again.

This was the first time we had breakfast here. It was all you can eat and you could add unlimited tea and coffee for £1.99. The lady serving at the bar was lovely, so friendly and welcoming. Food was very nice, good quality sausages. Its an extra £1 for mushrooms, which I thought was a bit odd, we opted to include mushrooms and got plenty for our money. Enjoyed a brew outside watching the sun on the sea after. Bliss!

So me and my family are regulars. We live on walney and normally love to be here. Recently though well at least the last 5 times we've been it's been terrible to say the least. The food has never been good like it used too. The mash I'd lumpy the gravy is overly thick and been sat a while with skin thicker than 3mm. I've had dirty glasses and been told my glass is clean. I'm sorry but it really wasn't clean I don't want to drink from a cloudy glass with scum around the top. My partner had a large meal but when he went to get his food he was told they would bring the sausages to him as they went ready. We were there for 45 mins at least and the sausages never came out. The bar staff wasn't exactly friendly when we asked for replacement drinks because of our glasses. There was only so much food out. They guy doing the carvery was doing all he could really. He can't serve food if it isn't cooked. The place was definitely not busy. I actually feel bad I'm leaving this review but I'm upset at the fact every time we go and something isn't right and we say something we end up leaving frustrated and still hungry.

We were a large group with 3 boisterous youngsters We were celebrating a birthday, there was different meals ordered mostly it was carvery which was very nice only 1 small complaint one of the older ladies ordered a prawn cocktail and instead of the lettuce being shredded, it was two large lettuce leaves which she couldn't cut. Everything else was good and the Christmas pudding was to die for (lol) the staff were always available clearing the tables and taking plates away, excellent. I do have to apologise again though, the children left the area around the tables like a food fight had gone on and I'm sorry to whoever had to clean up.

Once upon a saturday, with me tippa drippa (Ellie). We went to the fez tip (Ferry) for food and liquid calories. The staff were very busy but managed to accommodate our tip, first I was greeted with a smile and felt instantly welcomed. The carvery was good but the cider was better. My only grievance was when requesting a specified member of staff to bring my food, this was not achieved, a minor indescrepency. I have to admit I love coming to the fez tip with me big drippa. I really enjoyed my visit at The Ferry. I was surprised to see mixed reviews - I'd advise people to take these with a pinch of salt and give The Ferry a chance. The interior is nice and clean. The place is very family friendly - I visited alone but I'll come back with my family. I had breakfast and the buffet was well stocked and piping hot. The food was delicious and excellent value - you can get as much as you want! I was able to sit and relax for a while and was made to feel welcome. Spotted this place having visited the nearby nature reserve. It was fairly quiet when we arrived (6.30pm on a cold January Monday). Katie, behind the bar, couldn't have been more helpful. Food ordered arrived quickly. I went for the carvery. I thought, as it was so quiet, the food may be a bit dry. How wrong I was. It was hot, kept fresh with cast iron lids and served by a very friendly chef. Very happy to recommend based on my experience this evening.

My local for dinning could be anything in Barrow. Instead first time here I cross the bridge and head to the ferry. First time there I had the Stetson burger... My word it was amazing! My partner had the pie and equally as good. Since that night it has now become my local for do or or just a drink. Have tried your breakfast which was superb. Have had the carvery multiple times with no issues all of which is decently priced. Must say really happy all round! Only thing I could complain about is the possibility of more staff as there never seems to be enough and the girls that are there are busting the ass so can't expect more. Good work to the whole team at the Ferry. Keep it up and expect more visits from myself and others whom I 've recommended.

I love going to the Ferry in the summer. It is close to a play park which is great for the kids, while we sit and have a pint. The Carvery is and always has been great value and you always get plenty. I know you can go back and get as many vegetables as you want but I always overload and can never fit anything else in. Although you can pick from different meats, I can’t help but choose the beef. It’s my favourite meat. Definitely recommend.

I absolutely loved going to the ferry because all the food is fresh and tasty . At my experience there today I had a carvery , it was lovely because the chef kept on bringing out fresh vegetables and there are many sauces such as cranberry sauce and apple sauce to add to your plate . There is also a breakfast buffet which is also great . At the breakfast buffet there are : sausages,bacon,hash brown,toast,fried bread,eggs,black pudding,beans, tomatoes and mushrooms .

Parking is adequate and its right next to the bridge as you cross over so easy to find and a good spot to stop for food if you've been out.
