Reviews of Kings Arms Bedford
K. S.
Came here after a trip into Bedford. The food here was delicious. Very tasty. Bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. Would definitely recommend and come back. Staff were very polite and service was perfect. Sat outside which was lovely, lots of tables and large umbrellas to protect you from the sun. Didn’t need to reserve, but I’m guessing you would at the weekend as it’s quite a busy restaurant.
C. C.
Great pub/restaurant. The food was excellent, great service and not overpriced. Will definitely be returning. Best meal I’ve had for a long time.
R. Y.
6 stars for the staff in the service - 4 stars for the kitchen.
Very friendly, helpful and forthcoming staff.
I’ve had the Sunday roast. Overall the right decision. It was good and about the right amount. The chicken was a bit dry, but one can have as much gravy as required. The portion of the pork belly could have been slightly larger. The trimmings were very good, in particular the leek.
Generous children’s portions. Beautiful Yorkshire puddings loop.
Ample parking. I will return.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Kings Arms with my parents and my kids. Food was good and everyone enjoyed it. One main course (the pie) and one dessert (mini lemon poset) we chose were not available, it would have been useful to know this before we ordered but the staff were very helpful (and gave us full size lemon poset!)
H. R.
Nice decor, great garden on a warm day, attentive staff. Menu I bit limited and seemed pricey. Was surprised my chicken and chips came with no vegetables.

Lovely place, nice warm and friendly ambience. A real fireplace too!
The food was fantastic, well cooked, and presented. A very helpful and friendly team of staff who were very well organised saw to it that everyone was seated and didn't have to wait too long for food.

The visit was excellent and will definitely come back. The staff were very helpful and the proper level of attentive (not too much or little). We had to make some changes to the booking they were flexible with and did without hesitation. The food was superb (I recommend the pork and scallops) and so was the wine (went well with the chardonnay). The bar has a great atmosphere. I thoroughly recommend going here!

We had a wonderful visit in May 2022 for Sunday lunch. The staff were extremely accommodating - I had booked for four adults but we also had two babies and a dog and they quickly moved us to a more suitable/roomier table where we wouldn't be in the way of other diners. They couldn't have been lovelier to and more attentive of us and the little ones, either.
The food came out fairly quickly and was splendid (3 of us had the Sunday roasts and I had the sirloin steak) and the atmosphere was cozy, welcoming and warm, even though the restaurant was packed.
A. W.
Really well maintained modern pub with super friendly and professional staff. The outdoor seating area has plenty of spaces (mixture of tables and chairs and outdoor sofas) which is great for a sunny day. The quality of produce was excellent and this was upheld in the cooking process. Was a very pleasant lunch - will have to come back for dinner!
M. W.
Lovely inside. Younger staff needed some training; lack of smiles was probably nerves. The more experienced staff knew how to interact and were on form. Outside furniture needed attention. Food, as always was very good. Two dishes delivered late, and without having to complain we were given our money back. Impressive! This encourages us to return as we know we’ll be looked after.

I don't often write reviews but after our visit today I just had too!
Food was amazing, service was amazing..... What a Gem we have found, We will be back for sure 🥰
Thankyou
K. C.
Pub is lovely and the setting is absolutely gorgeous. The staff although the young lady we had made a few errors, it seemed that she was fairly new so no issues with that, we all have to learn. The food ( roast) was delicious and plentiful. Would recommend a visit if your in the area.
J. B.
Very friendly welcome and good attention from our waitress. Food was well cooked and tasty. Thought wine was a bit pricey at £11 for a large glass!! Hence lowish score re recommending to others.
B. M.
We enjoyed our visit because we had a nice quiet table where we could chat and enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant and celebrate my birthday and our wedding anniversary. We enjoyed 2 glasses of prosecco and then a main and went on to have a dessert. The prices are higher than some other restaurants that we go to more frequently but we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
A. W.
Ordered the dirty burger that turned out to be fairly clean, nice but ordinary hence 3 stars. Service was good and would eat here again but try something else.
D. K.
Service was very friendly, we were seen to straight away and seated in a nice spot by the window with our dog.
Food arrived in a timely manner and we were asked if everything was ok a few times.
I had also called in prior to visiting and ordered a celebratory dessert which was brought to the table.
Whole experience from start to finish was perfect. Thank you.
A. S.
Perfect day out with the girls on Thursday for lunch. We had Caesar salads and the duck salad and we all tried each other’s food, it was absolutely delicious! I had the white chocolate cheesecake trio for dessert and it was so yummy. I will definitely be coming back next week!!
M. C.
We had not been to the Kings Arms for a couple of years and as we had American visitors it was a good opportunity to get acquainted again! Really enjoyable given we could sit outside due to the weather and table setting. Good customer service and decent food , well presented.
N. H.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Seating felt a little cramped as only allowed to sit in the bar area. The tables took a long time to be cleared, so sat with other people's glasses for some time. Table was never wiped down. Food was nice but pricey. The 2 tiny gherkins as a side/garnish seemed like a pointless after thought, a salad garnish would have looked more appealing. For the prices charged, I would have expected table service and not to be crammed in.
A. K.
I visited the Kings Arms last Sunday and I have to say I was pleasantly impressed, the food was good, price was reasonable but the service was very good. A young waitress named Chloe was very attentive and made my dinner experience perfect. Would definitely visit again!
F. R.
We had an excellent evening. The food was really good and our steaks were cooked perfectly. Our waitress Emily was exceptional. She was polite and attentive and is a credit to your restaurant
C. M.
Went here for a Sunday roast, it was delicious. The service was a little slow that time, however when going again the service was extremely good. The staff are friendly and it’s situated in a really lovely village. Parking is brilliant although hard to get on a Sunday. They have a big menu for everyone. The only thing I could fault is the interior is a little dated and the exterior seating area did feel like it was a temporary covid seating area, maybe it was but if they are going to make it permanent they should invest it making it look more cosy. The building itself is so beautiful that it would be nice to have the decor to match
N. R.
Went for dinner as a family party of 6 on a Saturday evening. Lamb rump was one of the best I've had and cooked medium rare as I'd asked for. Other members of our party said the same about the pork belly with scallops. Waitress was polite and attentive and the gluten free options were explained before ordering. Would have given 5 stars but being a busy Saturday evening there was a long wait for our main courses to arrive.
M. “. B.
Superb service from start to finish. Charlotte, our waitress, could not have been more helpful and attentive. Josh was also fantastic acknowledging some issues with supply chain impacting our big party of 19. Thank you to everyone at the Kings Arms for making pur afternoon dining experience a memorable one.
R. A.
Staff are friendly and attentive and nothing is ever too much. Pork belly was perfect and the brownie was delicious. The toilets were incredibly clean and it was overall the perfect place to go for a meal! I will be recommending to my friends!
t. h.
Visited for the first time today. Staff were friendly and Nicole the manager was very welcoming. Ordered the lamb and sea bass for our table and both were delicious. Had a very enjoyable time there and will definitely be back!
S. B.
Booked a table early evening 6.30pm for dinner on a Tuesday. Food OK, sweet cold. Second glass off wine ordered arrived after main course finished. Not enough staff This was our first visit as a try out for a group celebration later in the year We won't be coming back.
R. G.
It was alright. Went for a birthday meal.
The starters were great, duck parfait and scallops, the olives were very nice. For mains, three of us had roasts, one fish and chips and the other a burger. The guys who had the pork roasts loved it. I had beef and wasn't very impressed to be honest, the beef was a bit dry, half the plate was full of greens I like greens but not half a plate ful! One whole half carrot and one whole half parsnip which definitely could live spent more time in the oven. The burger came out a good five minutes before the rest so was cold by the time we all are and noone checked on us so the "bottomless gravy" couldn't be requested nor sauces.
The desserts were really nice though and they made lovely espresso.
I'd definitely visit again for a drink as it was a lovely setting and great space, possibly a small bite like a starter or dessert but not again for a meal.
L. G.
Myself and my partner went for dinner Monday evening and we were pleasantly greeted by the staff and seated quickly. When we asked to switch tables there was no hesitation and the staff were happy to cater to our requests. We were served by a young lad, I think his name was Josh, who looked after us for the evening.
K. M.
Lovely food and more importantly the service was fantastic from Dawn this evening. She was lovely. Welcoming. Humourous and really made it a pleasurable visit. She deserves to be rewarded for her efforts and customer treatment. Awesome. Thank you 😊
S.
Great place to have a meal, inside or out.
Friendly staff, lovely food (Dirty burger 🍔 👍)
H. W.
Fantastic restaurant with really delicious food. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Recommend the Sunday roast! Also recommend their dine at home! Food is excellent and just like eating in the restaurant.
S. H.
I had sticky chicken starter, steak main and crumble, best meal I’ve eaten here. The service was excellent and impressed with how our waitress remembered our orders without recording it. Great meal, thank you.
S. C.
Generally its always pretty good. Our waitress was obviously new and so wasn't as good as usual, but it's still one of the best places in Bedfordshire. We'll be back. The food is always of a high standard.
M. D.
Great evening, Dawn who looked after our table was amazing - so caring, sweet and lovely. Food was great. One of the best places I’ve visited so far in this area, definitely coming back.
S. C.
We’ve been quite a few times, mostly to meet friends but also for our work Christmas do….the service has always been absolutely fantastic and the food delicious… and dog friendly!! Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it to others😁
N. P.
what an amazing experience at the Kings Arms Cardington!! The pork belly was absolutely delicious and I had the lotus chocolate bomb for dessert and both were fantastic. The staff were lovely and attentive and they made my mums birthday extra special by lighting a candle in her dessert and singing happy birthday. I HIGHLY recommend the kings arms!!!
N. H.
The waitress heather was amazing and my family members enjoyed the food. However I am ver disappointed for the poor variety of gluten free food and that you only have allergies on the app. That is why I gave only three starts. Heather I give 5*.
e.
We went to Cardington for my Dads Birthday dinner, we all had an amazing meal with desserts (even after all of the cake) and he went home elated with a full belly. Thank you to all of the staff, and an extra special thanks to Dawn our waitress for being so lovely and making it an even more enjoyable evening, we will return again!
H. S.
Crispest tap around! Excellent food menu and customer service. Went out of their way to save a valuable item I had accidentally left behind. Favourite pub of all time!
S. M.
A great place to stop for a drink or a meal. The bar is very usually very lively and the dining areas offer a more comfortable and quiet experience. When the weather is good the outdoor areas are a great place to spend an afternoon.
M. S.
Really dissapointed, my daughter recommended the Belly pork, I can honestly say I didn't get more than a fork full of edible pork. I did mention it to the waitress, I told her it wasn't a complaint as such but it really wasn't very nice. It may have been a one off but I'm probably not going to go again which is a shame. It really wasn't worth the money.
L. G.
Came in for drinks and food with my friends a while back.
Ash behind the bar made the drinks, gave great options when we couldn’t decide what cocktails we wanted. The food was delicious and came out very quickly!
T.
Had a few hours to kill so made my way to the kings arms. Sat in the garden under the trees and watched the world go by as I tucked into my fillet steak sandwich. Cooked very well accompanied by chips and a beefy dripping sauce. Really admire that the soda water was free considering most pubs would charge.
Lovely afternoon in the sun 👍
H. J.
Really nice Pub, beautiful set up and good menu.
We went for a quick bite as we were on a rush and they attended really efficiently.
The burger was surprisingly good!
K. M.
It was boiling inside. No windows open? Madness. It made us eat hastily and leave. Healthy options on the menu were limited (900 salad..) expensive for what we had. It’s not as good as it used to be. Not sure I’ll be back. The flying horse at Clophill is much better.
L. T.
Had a great meal here recently with my family. Leonie, our waitress, was fantastic. Service was friendly and very helpful, plus accommodating to my families allergies and fussy requests.
c. b.
We choose here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Couldn’t fault the food or service, Leonie was very attentive and made our evening here very enjoyable. Will most definitely be visiting again.
L. M.
Service and food was incredible! I will be recommending to all my friends. My personal favourite is halloumi fries. Annie was a great hostess and nothing was too much.
A. A.
Only had 1 beer but service was good but very busy on Friday evenings. Toilets were very clean. Lots of outdoor seating and parking. Will go for a meal when I move to the area.
E. B.
The waitress was extremley helpful and patient as there was 10 of us and special dietary needs and and elderly lady to. It was warm and they made the effort to.open a nearby door. Also bought out the birthday cake when required with a side plates and serviettes. Nothing was toi much trouble. We all paid separately to and she wasnt phased by this. Really made us feel welcome and special.
m. b.
First time back here in a few years, definitely surprised, great service and the food was just excellent, the prices are quite reasonable to be honest, so if you want a really decent dinner then I would definitely recommend here.
It's a 👍from me 10/10
Said I'd be back and had a lovely afternoon in the beer garden, perfect Sunday
S. s.
We went for my brother's birthday meal. Was lovely and Charlotte was very attentive to us. Food was delicious. Would definitely go again.
Thanks.
C. G.
Nice venue for my wife's 60th birthday meal. Staff worked hard to make sure we had everything that we needed. Would definitely visit again.
N. C.

Wonderful staff and wonderful food! Our waitress was incredibly attentive and the service was fast and food was delicious. I would definitely return to the kings arms in Cardington!

Dawn the staff member looking after us was fabulous! So attentive and worked hard to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Would definitely return because of the service.
A. S.
Amazing food and service!! Lovely evening with the family. Thanks to Leonie for serving with such excellence and positivity :)
C. A.
A good lunch with good food and friendly service. Our waitress Heather was cheerful and attentive and the whole birthday lunch was a pleasantly relaxed experience.
T. B.
Great food, service and venue, definitely come again.
Improvement - if the place is pretty empty as it was on the day and you are able to do so, perhaps give an option of tables.
A. c.
Meal was of great and atmosphere was great, Charlotte our waitress was great! Food review two steaks where thin rather than thicker which we would not get next time.
F. S.
Simon is a fantastic human being who delighted me and my wife with his charm and great nature. Great food. Great service. Fantastic atmosphere.
J. B.

p. c.
Just enjoyed a superb meal. Attentive staff, excellent service and quality food. Thank you
J. D.
I was taken there for my birthday dinner. The staff were lovely all seemed to be Silver Service trained re Service and clearing the tables. Unfortunately my food was luke warm unable to cut roast potatoes and veg so im not impressed with the food 😕. I didn't complain while I was there as i didn't want to upset the friends who had taken me out for dinner. This is only the second time ive been the 1st was a couple of yrs ago and it was the same problem food luke warm and a very long wait for Services Unfortunately I will not go back a 3rd time.
R. B.
Excellent food and the service was excellent to the waitress went over and above what was expected xx
H. M.
Only one real ale on offer, the ubiquitous Doom Bar, not my favourite. Food reasonable but the cod was not quite cooked through.
Z. M.
The service is brilliant, the dirty burgers were perfect and the deserts were a great size. I would recommend going to the king's arms, it's one of my personal favourites.
T. G.
Lovely pint, friendly staff! Havnt tried the food in a while but was good last time I had it there.
J. M.
Excellent food and lovely, welcoming, helpful staff! Can’t wait to visit again for dinner next month. Thanks 😃
R. S.
Leonie is the best waitress by a million miles!!
Service with a smile and the food was great too!
Thank you xx
l.
It was absolutely sublime. One of the waitress’s was particularly good. Can’t remember the name think it’s started with an L.
M. J.

A. S.

D. C.
Leonie was fabulous thank you for great service. Sunday roast was delicious. We will be back.
W. B.
Our first time at the Kings Arms as we've just moved to the area and have heard good things from friends... we was not disappointed! The staff was friendly and helpful while following covid guidlines really well. The aethetics of the pub is sinply stunning and makes you feel like you're going out for a real treat when walking in. My girlfriend enjoyed fish and chips while I enjoyed the pork belly with scallops. For such high quality food and service I'd say that prices are about the right mark for the quality. We'll be back soon to our new local!
S. H.
Great pub, restaurant. Please please train your young staff. They are doing there best but you can easily tell they are lacking training, poor management.
H. “. B. B. D.
Great food and brilliant service. We were a big table with a huge order, there were 1 or 2 issues with food being a little cold but with such a big order there is always going to be issues getting it all out. But the staff were brilliant and dealt well with any issues we had and I really enjoyed my Maple Glazed Pork with Scallops ,,,, to die for 😋
A. I.
There aren't many places these days where I'd eat almost every main course on the menu, but King Arms Cardington is one of them. Well cooked, nicely presented, enough of it and a nice lively atmosphere! Only thing that stops 5* is that the service was slow on the Saturday evening we visited (think our mains were forgotten!). Also there's a couple of tables where there seemed to be a constant flow of guests and waiting staff passing both sides and I was glad not to be sat on one if those.
J. S.
The atmosphere was good. The service and food excellent (even better with an offer!)
A. H.
Just had Sunday lunch at the location and it was amazing. The service was impeccable and although busy (which was lovely to see and added to the atmosphere) nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely and will certainly visit again. Thank you for a lovely Sunday dinner
D. H.
The staff were very friendly, the food was very good and there was a pleasant atmosphere.
The table was a little uncomfortable, as it seemed low and lacked leg room. Overall I really enjoyed my visit.
M. U.
The staff are so good here. Always super friendly. Excellent selection of wines, and cocktails. There are a couple of good beers too.
S. C.
Sunday roast was lovely, plenty of it too, nice relaxing atmosphere. Would recommend
T. D.
Nice place and atmosphere. Service a little slow but always friendly.
Our chicken was so dry we couldn't really eat it.
M. K. E.
Fabulous staff, wonderful food. Made our special evening even more special! Thank you to Nicole and team for a brilliant night! 😃
P. M.
A full vegan menu!!! So impressive. I loved the vegan caramelizad onion tart- really beautiful. The service was truly excellent- our server, Lauren, was vivacious and bubbly! She gave us good, honest recommendations for the menu. She brought such positive energy into the space and seemed to light up everyone’s mood!
S. B.
Im a lacto vegetarian was going out for a Christmas meal with work friends. So emailed my dietary requirements ahead of the meal. Service was really good. The plant burger was nice. For dessert i ordered a white chocolate cheesecake and was really looking forward to it.... only to be really disappointed. What they stated was a cheesecake was in fact a blackcurrant crumble with a few pieces of white chocolate on top! Not what i expected and very disappointed....it was very misleading. I love a good dessert and was not very impressed with this.
s. p.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff that seem to go above and beyond. Food was absolutely delicious. Definitely visit again.
J. H.
Fantastic pub! Friendly staff, delicious food and great service. Definitely recommend, you won't be disappointed.
S. W.
Stopped off for a quick drink here, inside and outside are very nice, the service was quick and the staff are friendly so all in all a nice place and I will stop there again. The pub does do food aswell but I have yet to try it.
B. R.
I am gluten and dairy intolerant, the waitress ,Heather, was very helpful and looked after me and my friend. We're very satisfied with food and service
A. C.
Very good cocktail menu. Service was great. Food excellent definitely recommend the pork belly and scallops
N. T.
A very nice Mitchell and Butler pub, well styled and classy. The food is beautifully cooked with a variety of steaks, pies, burgers etc all done with am elegant touch when received at the table. Great beers and cocktail choices.
d. R.
Great food and service. Highly recommend. The pizza oven was not working which was disapponiting the menus did not reflect this.
A. S.
Love this place. Good food,, good service, reasonable price.
A. C.
More a review of the pub/lunch side of things rather than the restaurant which looked great but we opted not to be seated. This is certainly an impressive venue. Great looking furnishing all around, good seating arrangements and bottles on display. Selection of wine and cocktails was appealing but we went for one of the cask ale options. Lunch for us was pizza and steak sandwich which was perfectly pleasant if not a bit over priced.
P. I. N.
Food was awesome. Service was lovely. Lovely decor and environment. Very nice.
S. M.
The food was good with an unusual menu. The staff were friendly and efficient.

We visited for Sunday roast and everything was lovely. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Two members of our party have multiple allergies, this was not a problem at all and both enjoyed delicious meals. We will definitely be back.
K. H.

B. g.
Service was great, very friendly and informative with regards to the gluten free menus.
J. L.
Great food. Attentive and quick service from Florence & Nicole G - thank you for looking after us!
J. M.
Food was good. Service was unattentive and borderline rude. Shame as that's the easy bit to get right and it costs you nothing. I wouldn't rush back
S. H.
Great afternoon meal, and excellent service from florrance. Large belated 80th birthday party of twelve.
K. H.
Fantastic service and food. Had steak sandwich and posh fish fingers.
T. L.
Scarlett was very polite and friendly during service. When we had an issue it was sorted out quickly.
J. M.
Lovely dinner, lovely pint, very welcoming staff lovely all round experience
A. T.
Loved lunch outside with family! Pub has bowls with water for dogs! Nice staff 👍
V. B.
Had a lovely midweek lunch in the garden. Very busy, you'd be best to book. The girl who served us was very friendly & suggested their own range of soft drinks which are very nice & beautifully presented. The lunch menu is fairly limited & not cheap but both our meals were very nice. Will definitely return.
D. C.

We have been to the Kings Arms previously so we were surprised at the service and performance of the kitchen. On arrival we were offered complimentary drinks but these appeared on the bill. The staff were very friendly and we ordered our starters and mains. Starters arrived no problem however, when my wife's meal arrived it was the wrong dish. I was left to eat my meal with my wife watching and then eventually after rushing through my wife's selection I sat watching her eat. This was our anniversary and the idea was to eat together. After my wife started eating her main course she realised that the dish was missing the lentils in the sauce. The meal was acceptable and we couldn't wait 20 minutes to cook another dish. We commented on this when the plates were collected but it didn't seem to register. My wife ordered a gin cocktail and when it arrived the drink was wrong. Wrong gin, wrong tonic and the wrong garnish. This was eventually replaced. We did get offered to have the main free but when the bill arrived the first time it was more than if we had paid the full price. Complimentary drinks were added and course extras that we didn't have were added. On the 4th attempt the bill was presented with a reasonable price. If the staff hadn't been so nice I wouldn't have scored so high.

Great food, great value, great service.
Cleanliness was a let down 👎 we were sat by a beautiful built-in wooden cabinets filled with bottles of wine dead flys dust cobwebs and debris.
Not exactly what you want to be sat next to when eating.
B. P.
Had Sunday lunch and staff and food was excellent really enjoyed it
D. H.
The children meals were tasteless and very small! My main meal came out cold.
C. C.
Our waitress was Scarlett she was amazing and very polite & courteous 😃
F. E.
Excellent service, delicious food and a warm atmosphere, would definitely dine here again.
C. L.
Great pub, shame about the service. Really nice place, but having booked early, was disappointed it took nearly 40 minutes for our meal to arrive, once ordered. When it did arrive, not only was it someone else's meal, it was cold. Sent it back & was offered a free pudding. Our meal did then arrive, but was also cold. We ate it anyway, exhausted by the the struggle. We also noticed the glass light fitting right above our heads was broken, with exposed shards ready to fall on us, or our meals. Don't get us wrong, in no way was this the fault of the serving staff, the blame falls purely in the lap of the management, leaving only 3 members of staff in charge of such a large pub. The health & safety issue is something they seriously nee to attend to.

Excellent food
Waitress very nice
Highly recommend

Leonie was a fantastic waitress and gave a 5 star experience!!
D. D.
Been many times over many years and is always excellent service and food.
C. N.
Dawn our waitress was brilliant,as were the rest of the staff
L. F.
Fantastic food and service, however the service charge of 56.00 is very naughty when you receive your bill.
N.
Excellent will definitely return,
Sunday lunch was amazing..
Staff outstanding very well run ..
A real Gem
Thanks for a wonderful day
D. M.
Wonderful experience, amazing atmosphere along with welcoming and helpful staff x

Lovely food , very good service…
Would Recommend…

Very pleasant waitress and enjoyable food.

Went for our work Christmas meal, 9/12, food was lovely. Biggest disappointment was we raised our concern & issue with cigarette smoke continuously coming our way, the staff said there is no designated smoking area so people can smoke anywhere outside. I find it really disrespectful that smokers were smoking right at the door so they may aswell just been smoking inside. The staff member didn't seem to want to do anything about it so we had to sit inhaling cigarettes for the evening. If I return I'd refuse to sit anywhere that the smoke will come straight towards me. For future reference I'd resolve this as it's really put me off.
V. D.
We went there for the festive indulgence menu, and whilst it was lovely to be out, the food could have been warmer! And the veg was a bit lack luster not the same quality I'm used to! However, the service was great
M. B.
Leonie was a very attentive waitress and we had a very enjoyable experience.
A. S.
Had a great waiter good food all round.
R. M.
Brilliant food good service whether your eating inside or out I highly recommend visiting
J. G.
The menu choice is good and the staff are very nice. The decor of the restaurant is really nice too. Can be a little pricey compared to other similar places, but well worth it. Overall a great place to eat.
G. D.
I love this place food is always excellent and staff always friendly
N. M. (.
Great service, great food and great atmosphere - definitely coming back - highly recommended!
f. d.
Very good food and the waitress was very attentive.
T. P.
Dawn was so friendly and accommodating to our table, made our evening very relaxed.
J. K.
Always good pleasant service from the staff here , didn't enjoy my table next to the toilets and crumbs all over the table (stuck in the groove clearly been there for a while ) we love Scallops but these were tiny. 3 out of 5 is a fair score just not overwhelming and we wanted it to be.
E. C.
Leoniee was a lovely waitress, great service :)
L. G.
On the second visit we were very disappointed with the service. We didn't get our starters the staff had totally forgotten. My mum's Brussel sprouts with not edible. We did have that meal refunded. One staff member was playing with her hair in the restaurant. This is not acceptable. The restaurant is very well presented and our experience this time was a let down compared with our earlier experience.
K. D.
Lovely pub, deceptively large, nice trendy interior, decent drink selection, friendly staff. Went for a team lunch and was slightly disappointed that a number of options were not available, including a vegetarian Wellington which had been pre-ordered. If it wasn't for that I'd have given 5 stars.
S. A.
Dawn was very friendly and her service was really good. Will definitely return :)
T. H.
Attended works Christmas meal but I was initially worried as I have allergies and intolerances. I shouldn't have been as they were extremely accommodating and adapted each of my courses for me.
The staff were excellent and the food was lovely I will certainly be going back.
l.
Lovely pub. Great service - Dawn was an absolute dream! Will be back :)
l. w.
First time I've been in this pub. I had the salmon which was nice but there was too much oil on the plate.
R. R.
Good food but the service can be slow at busy times. Huge car park. Nice garden with parasols and tables.
G. G.
Unbelievably gorgeous food. Service was top notch. Definitely recommended
K. K.
Lovely service and friendly young lady - - thanks Leonie
K. L.
Food was great, quick service, lovely dinner. Drinks were quick. Staff were great, Dawn was fantastic.
S. O. C.
Delicious food, excellent service from Nic J and great atmosphere.
P. E.
Lovely food but felt a bit rushed to finish and pay, even though it took staff 45 mins to take our order. I appreciate they were busy (great to see things returning to normal) but at no point we were made aware of a time limit other than 15 mins before our time was "expiring". One star dropped for that alone.
l. b.
My husband and I took his parents for a late lunch today. Food was divine but the service absolutely shocking. Four drinks were ordered and after reminding them 20 minutes later only three drinks came despite the young girl who brought them taking the original order. Ten minutes later the fourth drink appeared, waiting 30 minutes in Total for the drink altogether.
I had to call the same young lady over to take our food orders, the food came an hour after we arrived, it was very very nice but no one came to ask us if we were enjoying it or whether we would like another drink.
I had to ask the same young lady to clear the plates as she was just standing talking to her friend. And ask her for the dessert menu, 15 minutes after the menu arrived she still had t taken out order, so we payed the bill and left. No tip was left for such appalling service.
I appreciate the restaurant was quite busy, but there were many empty tables and more than enough staff allocated to different areas where at times they were just standing around.
Very disappointed as the six times I’ve been to this restaurant only once has the service been great.
R. J.
Fab evening with friends. Great food and even better service. Can’t believe how accommodating the team are!! Thank you Nicola for all your hard work making our belated Christmas lovely.
B. M.
Took the family out again for another meal to celebrate. Very friendly and prompt service, excellent food, a very enjoyable evening.
T. W.
The food was really tasty only downside there was a limited availability it was about 6pm when we ordered
J.
Nice, big pub with lots of outdoor seating. Sunday roast was lovely and the house red wine delicious
s. m.
Typical pub food although alot of the food on the menu was not available all in all a nice meal sitting outside in the sun ☀️
S. T.
Very nice pub with a good selection of drinks. When we visited the kitchen was closed unfortunately, so we didn't get to try the food. Really nice atmosphere and decor, and dog friendly!
t. m.
An incredible setting for a very good meal. The church next door is stunning.
C. T.
Went for Sunday lunch as really good previously but they had run out of Yorkshire puddings and the portion sizes had reduced and prices increased, altogether quite disappointing
C. W.
Excellent food and service. Very pleasant spot.
We visited again for a Sunday roast. Excellent service and good food, although the roast potatoes were rather naff. Good value for money and nice ambience.
M. C.
Great food and drinks, quick service and really friendly staff. Would recommend for both a quick bite to eat and also a nice sit down meal.
Eloise looked after us throughout, and ensured we were well fed and watered. Will definitely visit again!
B. R.
Great atmosphere, good service. Was attending a wake which worked well as there was plenty of space. Nice buffet with plenty of healthy vegetarian elements.

Great food and fantastic service from the staff and manager.

Second to only itself, kings arms Cardington offers the most inclusive a la carte experience, molly, ash and of course nick offer the most personalised experience one could expect, great food at a reasonable price, friendly faces that make the experience o so much more special. 5 stars all around. Thanks girls for all you do.
N. D.
Beautiful place, beautiful design, excellent food and very friendly waiters. We really enjoyed it so much! Highly recommend!!!
K. M.
Beautiful food as always and lovely service!
L. B.
Always enjoy my evenings at the Kings Arms, lovely surroundings, good food and lovely cocktails, will be back again
J. F.
Lovely team of people, the outdoor tables have been set up and are serviced well. Food is excellent, we all had different meals and tried a bit from each. Definitely recommend booking during the COVID reopening roadmap as this is a very popular place. Prices are a little high but I feel the service and food quality justifies this.
P. P.
Amazing quick service. The food is brilliant!
P. R.
Had a great meal in the king's would highly recommend.
D. T.
Brilliant service and great food. A pleasure.
K. m.
Sam was amazing - new menu was great.
N. M.
Scarlett was amazing and so were the onion rings
J. a. N. V. l.
Was taken here for my 60th . I ordered the pork with scallops. The only part of rhe meal I didn't like was the scallops as they were very fishy and fresh scallops don't have that taste. But apart from that the ambiance was nicec
R. N.
Staff are friendly nice atmosphere nice food.
M. G.
If you haven't been for years, go again, fabulous menu, great staff, highly rated.
D. H.
My wife and I enjoyed a superb Lunch yesterday at the Kings Arms, she had the Linguini, and I had the Seabass filet ( both filets), both meals were first class, we finished with a creamy creme brulee. Our table waitress Maddie m was great, good service with a lovely smile. In fact all the staff were very nice and friendly.
As it was our 60th Wedding Anniversary the staff presented us with a complimentary bottle of fizz,, thank you all for your kindness on our special day.
M. P.
Even though it was very busy the service was great and all the staff were very friendly xx
A. B.
Lovely village setting, large car park. Garden is at front. Wide range of dishes. Quick service by cheery staff
D. M.
A bit noisy, but good food and friendly staff.
P. F.
Warm welcome by Nicola and had a very good evening thank you kings arms team
W. B.
Wow an amazing Sunday roast we had the trio of roasts so you will need to be hungry for that. Botomless gravy a bonus. Great friendly staff. Good outdoor seating.
P. S.
Lovely cosy lunch in front of the fire. Every staff member we encountered was delightful, couldn’t do enough to help us. Will definitely be back again.
J. S.
Great experience, thank you to Florence for looking after us
M. L.
There roast dinners SMASH IT!!!! Dont even hesitate to go to this place! JUST GO you wont be disappointed.
S. A.
Lovely setting. Very disappointed with the food. Food was returned and replaced. Bill was adjusted. Spoke to one of waitress about the flies. Suggested you get some form of repellant.
c. f.
We visited here a couple of weeks ago with family, we all had a fabulous meal, staff were friendly and attentive. Will be coming back again as soon as it is possible.
L.
Great food and good attention about everything.
R. T.
Excellent food and service. Thank you Emily.

We normally visit twice a week for a lunchtime drink and are always made to feel welcome so we popped in just before lockdown for a last drink for 4 weeks. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. A special shout out to Nicole who never stops smiling and she always laughs at my rubbish jokes. The food is excellent would recommend this place.
See you all after lockdown
Sally and Jim
L. F.
Great pub very friendly staff
E. W.
Lovely atmosphere, good facilities, good placing near the main road. Lovely food, good prices, good portions.
a.
Decent food, but as it's more a restaurant than a pub, allowing huge dogs in to reside next to customers as they eat their food is not appropriate.
M. S.
Lovely thank you, Charlotte was an absolute joy!
D. C.
Lovely freshly cooked food. Good ingredients . Nicely presented. The old pub has been given a make over in recent years and has been done very tastefully. Good choice of menus and drinks. Nice outside seating area as well as a garden. Comfortable chairs in the restaurant. Quite village location just outside of Bedford.
A. M.
Nice lunch - great service from Florence
L. J.
Chloe was brilliant can't thank her enough for the brilliant service
D. T.
Superb food and service. I couldnt recommend more. Just make sure you book to avoid dissapointment, as this place always seems to be full!!!
c. k.
Great pub with a good selection of beers and lovely food. Due to restrictions it was a smaller menu than normal so am looking forward to my next visit to see what else I can eat.
Everything is clean and covid secure, definitely a nice place to visit if you looking to meet up with some friends after lockdown
I. W.
Delicious food and location with good staff and fast service was a lovely experience that I will be repeating soon.
L. V.
Nice outdoor eating but unfortunately very busy as warm evening. Food good but a bit slow but staff coped being very friendly. Recommended
T. D.
Florence, was our waitress, very competent and friendly.
L. G.
Our meals were delicious, we cannot fault the food at all, and the decor of the pub was beautiful. the staff were friendly and smiley however I do think the manager should put more time in to training staff. The pub was not exactly busy on our visit, we ordered drinks with our mains, the drinks failed to arrive until I had one bite left of my dinner. I could see them sitting in the serving hatch but the waitress walked past them several times choosing to clear empty tables rather than serve the customers they did have. It was very late in the evening so they were not being cleared for more customers. Eventually I got up to go and get them my self and she hurried over to to them and got them.
It was the same case between courses, waiting for 15 minutes for empty plates to be cleared whilst waitresses walked back and forth seemingly not seeing you.
As I said the place is beautiful, the food was lovely, hopefully more work can be put in to staff training so that the service reflects the great food, then in my book this place would be fantastic.
C. W.
Just went for dinner on Sat night for party of 5, lovely setting and decor and good ambience inside. Food was excellent for everyone, the pork belly was stunning. Will be back
T. B.
Lovely venue, and first customer service. Enjoyed what we ordered. Certainly return to try more on their extensive menu.
L. B.
Stopped for a coffee this evening. Really nice decor and staff were very pleasant. Will definitely go back for a meal with family.
J. C.
Nice food, great pub. Fantastic cocktail. Highly recommend the cucumber ribbons !!!
R. H.
Accidentally stumbled across this place on one of our tours. Lovely pub-cum-restaurant with quite a bit of space and a touch of old school charm. Food was tasty (Beer battered fish and chips was crispy, lobster and king prawn sandwich was good too, I'm reliably informed). Reasonably priced too for somewhere that's trying to be a bit of a cut-above.
Staff were friendly enough - our waitress turned out to be a fellow Attack on Titan fan!
Overall, well worth dropping into for a spot of a lunch.
B. E.
Lovely friendly staff and excellent food.
G. O.
Sunday Roast was superb, minor issue with timings on the pud but the staff were really quick to acknowledge, rectify & apologies which made for really great service.
B. W.
Love this gastropub my husband and I have been eating here for a couple of years. It us one of our favourite places great atmosphere and good food.
E. D.
Very nice friendly country pub serving good quality food. Outdoor live entertainment was on this evening with a cocktail bar and disco whilst we enjoyed our meal. It sounded very good, just a shame the weather was a bit wet and cold for sitting outside with an after dinner drink to really enjoy it. Would definitely return again soon.
M. F.
Lovely Pub & Restaurant with friendly staff serving HUGE tasty Sunday roasts! The perfect sunday😁
M. P.
I felt very safe here as all the tables were well spaced and the staff all were masks. The staff were very pleasant.
The menu was varied and plenty to choose from.
There was a log fire which gave a lovely warm atmosphere to the place.
N. M.
Beautiful venue with super friendly staff! The roast pork was great - loved the roasted beetroot and the spring greens, plus the cauli cheese was really good, too, which is unusual!! I was disappointed with my dessert, hence the 4 stars, but would definitely go back again. Great to have a solid gastropub nearby for special occasions.
P. C.
Excellent food and great service. Idea for lunch when you need a quality meal served quickly and served piping hot. Pleasant surroundings obeying covid rules with wide table spacings. Very busy, clearly making up for lost revenue during lockdown.
T. A.
Another lovely meal at this friendly pub. Always good food. Service can sometimes be a bit slow, but if you're out for an enjoyable time, let's face it....you shouldn't be in a rush anyway! Great choice on the menu and the Old Fashioned I had was spot on!
G. C.
Excellent service and fantastic food.
I. G.
No problems with the food at all it was lovely with big portions. But due to the rude service of one of the barmaids (blonde with a bun, not one with a blue band In her pony tail) she never even said thank you or smiled at us, this was very disappointing unfortunately she let this otherwise very lovely countryside pub down.
N. D.
We came in for a drink & ended up ordering food at the bar. Ash was really helpful & helped us with menu choices :)
A. H.
Nice pub restaurant modernised good menus and separate vegan menu with good choice. Quick service pleasant tidy place nice setting.
Food tasty hot and overall good for this type of place. Will be back to try more. Nice garden and seating outside for good weather days.
P. M.
Slow to serve and asked several times for water before it was brought to the table. Good food but long wait for dessert.
D. T.
Lovely meal and service from Leonie
G.
The kings arms is like Rick Astley. Because their never gonna give you up, and never gonna let you down.
S. B.
We didn't realise this pub was part of a chain. The only issue with that is my Wife and M-i-L had a less than favourable experience at one of the chains other establishments, so they were immediately concerned about what they might get given to eat. Turns out it was better than their previous experience, but still not as good as hoped. I was happy with my food, but it would still only get 3 stars.
B. H.
Friendly staff, on the ball, good food, great ambiance so will definitely go again, even though I drove that morning from Norfolk to have lunch there.
J. P.
Great restaurant and great service from Nic.
D.
Not the best experience ... took a long time for the food to be served, not helpful for a lunch time.
My colleagues both had chicken salad and made the same observation "not much chicken in the salad".
I had cod and chips which was decent.
The staff were friendly and the ambience is good.
L. P.
Lovely food, quiet atmosphere :)
N. S.
Amazing food (all three courses). Ale & Cider on tap. Punctual and polite service. Would recommend booking, we ate on a Saturday evening and it was getting busy by 7pm. We'll definitely visit again.
S. L.
Nik j is a bit of a legend , Simon promote the heck out of her
R. S.
Laura was amazing great service xx
F. Z.
Just love this place, always super tasty, highly recommend their dirty burger and love their bomb desserts 😁
S. H.
Absolutely top notch service and food.
J. R.
What a bath of fresh air, meet and greet on entry, drinks offered whilst looking at the menu. Off to a really good start although starters a bit limited for those not a fan of olives a mint and pea soup with a crusty Barton was a good option with many vegan options offered throughout the menu range. Since a simple steak seems to be one of the most difficult and more expensive options this was my choice for this evening while my partner opted for the baked cauliflower yard. On arrival my fillet steak was a little small when compared with that of our guests however cooked blue and to perfection the plate was decorated with a couple of small mushrooms and half tomatoes and bucket oth twice cooked chips. The cauliflower tart arrived looking beautifuly well presented with the addition of a vegetable side plate that was plentiful. Once again this was cooked to perfection with only a little bit too much salt for our personal liking. The vegan black currant dessert I chose was just right to finish the meal and coupled with the delightful staff this was a very enjoyable night out at the Kings Arms and refreshing to see another of our historic public houses saved from an uncertain future that many of our beautiful English pubs are currently facing.
R. C.
A pleasant restaurant offering a range of good quality dishes. The dining area was very busy and it is evident why - the staff are friendly and helpful, the service is prompt and the food tastes good.
I had the fish and chips. The batter on the fish was light and crisp while the fish itself was fresh: a delight to the palettes. The tartar sauce was of a very good standard while the skin-on-chips were thick and well cooked delivering an ideal fluffy texture.
The interior was clean and well kept. The decor had a mix of contemporary design in addition to traditional art which fashioned the walls.
All in all, a delightful meal which was reasonably priced - a good quality gastro pub which I would certainly return to regularly if I was local to the area.
K. M.
Very helpful and pleasant young girl served us
H. D.
Pricey for the portion size / quality. Pleasant surroundings but the overhead lamps were very dusty, which was a little worrying.
E. M.
Very good food & generous portions, but a number of items missing from the dish (no veg on one of the roasts/no stuffing on any despite being advertised). Allergen/intolerances well catered for (ipad menu with selection box for various allergies). Staff were clearly inexperienced, which I guess is to be expected at this time of year, and probably detracted from the whole experience. I'd return as the food was good, but service was a let down.
L. P.
Fantastic atmosphere and great food!
P. C.
Lovely food and reasonably priced..
D. A.
The food and service are equally outstanding! I will certainly be back to sample some more of the varied and delicious menu!
S. S.
First trip out for some time with a group of friends. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Service excellent and the food great.
C. J.
Excellent food. Nice seating area outside. No masks being worn which I found disappointing being of an older generation
E. O.
Great food, friendly staff... had a really nice Sunday dinner today. I'll definitely be back!
L. C.
Beautiful pub lovely setting. Staff were very polite and friendly. Food was delicious. Food is a bit more upscale so a little pricey. Worth a visit.
S. P.
I made my first meal here last night. Upon arrival I really liked the décor, very upmarket looking. But I left feeling it was mostly style and little substance.
The menu all read and sounded nice, but all 3 courses ultimately fell short of expectations. Expectations I only had because of the décor and prices attached to the menu. I had steak which was slightly over cooked, it came out more rare than blue. The cheese cake had a very soft/soggy bottom, albeit flavour was nice. There were very nice parts of the meal. My friend thoroughly enjoyed his duck wing starter, but felt the main of beef rib was just too small. Another friend's burger looked nice but only had a Frazzle sized piece of bacon on it.
The young waiter was friendly but ultimately clueless. He only once saw fit to clear the table of empty glasses, but even then he only took 4 glasses away and left about 3 or 4 on the table. He did have a tray, it wasn't that his hands were full.
I would consider coming back, but likely only for a pint. Or if the price of the menu feel by 25%-50% to mirror the standard of the food delivered.
C. R.
Great pub. Lovely atmosphere, friendly & approachable staff. Covid safe & food was fabulous. What's not to like. Highly recommend
T. D.
It's a nice place to go, very friendly staff, the food is very good, it's clean, there is ample parking, outside table area is a good size. The only thing I find is the food portion size could be a little bigger, especially things like chips. But apart from that, it's always a nice experience.
P. N.
Fantastic food and service it's a shame that I don't live closer
B. B.
Excellent service and great meal
D. H.
We have been here several times and always been happy......not this time. Our table and cutlery wasnt clean. We ordered 2 main meals and were then told those items werent on the menu today.....we should have been told when we sat down! Ordered some drinks and had to wait 30 mins until they arrived. One of the meals came but was not what we ordered. Once the correct food arrived it was very nice......but too little too late by then. Staff need more training and more direction.
C. G.
I had the nut roast which was surprisingly good. The yorkshire pudding was dry which was unfortunate as that was the only part of the meal which I didn't enjoy.
In terms of ambience, we sat next to the window which gave us a good view of the rest of the pub/restaurant. I did feel like it was a bit disjointed and didnt have a warm and cosy pub feel that you'd expect when going out for a pub roast.
The toilets were nice and clean which is always a big bonus.
Overall it did the job and I'd come back again if I was in this area.
H. O.
Nice ambience and friendly staff but they need more of them! Starters arrived for 5 of us, had to go and ask for the 6th that seemed to have been forgotton as couldn't get the attention of anyone. The white wine wasn't cold. Food was nice but not exceptional. It was a very busy night so will give them the benefit of the doubt but I do remember slow service was a problem the last time we ate here and we ended up canceling our desserts as we needed to be somewhere!
B. J.
Food was lovely and service good.
G. P.
Have never been disappointed at the Kings Arms and today was no exception. Plenty of outside eating area with parasols, well-spaced. Just the job on a sunny day.
M. B.
The food was of good quality, but what let’s it down is the service which we all thought was poor and having to pay service change in the bill because we had more than six people. Plus the overall cleanliness was not up to scratch.
M. V.
We are visiting this pub regularly. This is the fist time when we are disatisfied . The food was great as always (thank you to the chef) but service was worst then ever. There were some cups on our table and the waitress went twice to the table next to us and wasn't capable to pick it up on the way back. My husband finally stand up and brought it to the bar. No one was clearing or wiping the tables. When couple of ladies with a cute dog came in there were two stuff member's talking to them and stroking the dog and the tables were left untouched. Overall we love this pub.Definitely we will be coming back but during the week when manager and asistant manager are there.
M. E.
Quality food and service, reasonable prices
N. R.
I went here with my partner and family. Upon arrival and after being seated this place had a good effect on our mood. Service was attentive and menus and drinks soon arrived at the table. The menu read really well and we were salivating at just about everything on it, (the waiter did inform us that some of the items were sold out however). We had the fish mezze to share as a starter and this was absolutely stunning. The king prawns were the sweetest tasting I've ever had. Main courses arrived soon after and I had two types of pork (fillet and belly) with vegetables. This was also amazing as were the other main courses that the others had. We were all very very impressed with this place and had a buzz on about it for quite some time afterwards. We will definitely be returning and I can definitely recommend the Kings Arms as a fantastic place to eat.
j. j.
We had the best evening at this pub for my daughters birthday last night. Their team couldn't have been more accommodating to make it special for us and we will definitely be celebrating here again. The food was to die for, we had a few sharer platters to start with which were so tasty, especially the harissa hummus with the flat bread then various mains, I had a wagyu burger which was so juicy and tasty and my husband the venison, ordered medium rare and perfectly cooked. My daughter had one of the Duck Specials which looked absolutely amazing ( she said it tasted as good as it looked too). All in all it really made a special event even more special. Thank you !
D. O.
Had a super lunch. The crab, prawn and chorizo linguine was delicious definitely worth trying.
e. d.
amazing meal for my 18th birthday ! thank you to all the team ,it was lovely
J. H.
Myself and my partner live in the village around the corner and only recently discovered the kings Arms. Since then we have revisited numerous times. If u want a drink and catch up,it's perfect and if u want a delious meal... again perfection. The staff are friendly, the food is outstanding. It is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Love it.
J. B.
Amazing service from Dawn!!!! Great food
M. S.
Leonie provided a great service 5*
S. G.
Great food, beautiful space, wonderful service. Ample space on outside tables. Will be back very soon.
D. B.
Lovely lunch with the girls with excellent service! Lovely chilled, relaxed place!
C. H.
Great food and great staff.
j. t.
Poor bar service, needs better organisation to serve, take good orders and pay bills. Mainly 1 person behind bar dealing with customers. Food is ok, nothing memorable, chicken was on dry side. Deserts were better, food served then cutlery comes along a few minutes later. Would eat here again, but would not rush back when similar pub grubs are available locally.
A. a.
Our Nut roast was just amazing , so tasty .
This was our first visit , but we will definitely revisit . A well organised safe , clean and very welcoming place .
R. R.
Lovely place but bit expensive experience
K. G.
This is my first visit to The Kings arms. I thought that the atmosphere was very good. Very pleasant surroundings. The food was of a very high standard. However what let it down was that the service was slow. That is why I only gave it four stars.
P. D.
Lovely cosy pub, we were shown to our table by Heather who was very friendly approachable and professional. Heather helped us with what to order from the menu and we decided to go for the weekday 3 course special. Starting with very tasty scallops and had the 10 ounce rib eye steak for the main which was cooked to perfection and then had a few more beers and desserts . Thankyou to the chef and to Heather for the great experience and see you again. Dass and Paul (Gay couple)
l. c.
We love this place. Regularly come in to visit for a drink or two - sometimes with food too. Staff are always happy to serve us and are kind and attentive - especially with the children. Dog friendly to boot. Thank you, we’ll continue to visit you :)
C. J.
Lovely and clean. Great food, nice selection of drinks. Always good atmosphere. Kind bar staff. Only think is that it's a little expensive but you can understand why based on the quality of the place.
B. C.
Staff were faultless, friendly and helpful.Sunday roast beef was only ok. meat that was given seemed like end of joint. Other diner with me had steak which was perfect. So conclusion is go early if you want decent roast but don't go for roast after 5pm.
M. N.
Went there yesterday evening for my lads 18th Birthday, the 3 young ladies covering the front of house were excellent, they were very busy but managed to be very helpful and very polite at all times, food very good too.
I would recommend this place and use it again.
K. A.

Had a really nice meal here, staff were very friendly, wait for the food was a bit longer than expected but lovely when it arrived and when in good company that little bit longer is no big deal! Would recommend for a good leisurely meal

A good atmosphere at this place , a good selection of pints but slightly pricey, but on a good summers afternoon it’s a good place to come for the evening for a drink and something to eat

Chose to have our wedding dinner and evening drinks here on 7/4/18 and was not let down. We had the private raised area to the left side of the restaurant. Some worries over being to small to dine 14 people but staff set the table in a 'L' shape, it was comfortable and we didn't feel squashed. Also still enough room for our wedding cake, balloons and wine to be on another seperate table.
Everyone loved their food, no complaints atall. Staff on hand when needed.
Organised with Simon and Paul in advanced about having more evening guests, so they offered to reserve 2 large marble bar top tables from 7p.m which was well worth having and we did use, although our guests did enjoy being out in the garden lounge half the night. Thanks to all the team for a great 2nd half to our wedding day!

The Kings Arms Cardington, not only is the place it's self lovely set in a picturesque village, but the food and service is impeccable, the staff were warm and friendly. I ordered the steak which didn't come how I wanted it, but they replaced it with a fresh one (perfectly to my taste) no Questions asked, we had a great time and I think it was partly because of the food and the service, well done Kings Arms, you 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Very disappointing. Booked a table for Mothers Day for three for 7.45pm. Eventually got seated at 8.30pm. Sat for a further 15 minutes before we had to ask for a menu. When we were ready to order we were told that a number of items on the Menu were no longer available which included all the "roasts". Service was very slow in between courses.

We went here originally for a group meeting about reptiles. The place is very plush and upmarket looking. Nice décor. Staff seemed ok but knew nothing about "the meet" which seemed strange. I looked the menu over and decided that would probably be all I could afford to do! 2 cokes cost us £5! Don't think we will go back in a hurry. We have heard it's where all the soap stars hang out though....Not for me unfortunately

Great venue for date night, beef fillet salad and a steak ...washed down by Sipsmiths and Doombar respectively...great food, lovely atmosphere, excellent service

Attended on the evening of 28th March. Great food, poor service, staff all over the place, had three different people serve us and at first even forgot to serve us, leading us to ask to be served.
Staff were lovely but clearly they lacked leadership and direction, one even admitted they didn't know what area of the restaurant they were supposed to cover. It is a pity as my previous visit was problem free.

Very good, it's been beautifully renovated and the garden is lovely. It's got a good food selection and the drinks aren't too pricey. Tricky location to get to but it has decent parking if you're driving there.

Great food, Great service and a Great atmosphere despite the current restrictions, which i might add, have been covered flawlessly so as not to intrude on your time or the reason you visit.

Nice atmosphere, however the food was so so... I was expecting nicer I think... My starter was cold... Really cold and the main course looked much better than it tasted... Good location though and nice staff.

Pleasant staff was shown to our table by Molly and had drinks and food brought out by Jade.. 2 lovely examples of a great asset to the business.. food was excellent toilets were clean and there was no waiting around between courses or the feeling of being rushed... forgot to take pics as the food was so good.. the sharer dessert isn't for sharing though I must say the pieces are very small..
Overall a great experience and I will certainly be revisiting.. Well done Kings Arms and thankyou to Molly and Jade ❤

Beautiful pub with a great selection of drinks. Visited on the 23rd December and was quite busy so had a lack of seating choice. Would definitely return after the festive season 🌲

If the treatment of distressed travellers are anything to go by, I would give the pub 6 stars out 5!
I and my disabled lady passenger travelled back from Cromer earlier that day and my Sat Nav was clearly broken and I was very tired and very lost.
Niah and her manager, Nikki, kindly gave us written directions and installed an app on my IPhone to enable me to reach home in Milton Keynes. They even offered us a drink and went beyond the call of duty to ensure we were fine and ensure we arrived home safely. Please can this special praise be noted to your employer and we fully intend to visit the pub for food and drink in the not too distant future. Heartfelt thanks ladies!! All the best for the future.
Sam and Davina.

One of my faves in the neighbourhood when I don't feel like cooking for hubby & I, food is pretty good, and a nice variety to choose from, great also to sit outside under the majestic trees in the summer too with a cold beer!
