We had our works Christmas party here and we weren’t disappointed. We ordered the gold festive buffet option. The area that had been set up for us was lovely and some unexpected free bottles of Prosecco were thrown in! The food was lovely and plenty of it!

I'd like to say a huge thank you to Sophie and the Kitchen staff. We are staying overnight in Bedford and dropped into the Slug and Lettuce for something to eat with our 3 year old son, who has a dairy allergy, all the staff were amazing especially Sophie. We have been to many establishments who make us feel unwelcome when discussing allergy options for our son, however, our visit today blew us away. Sophie literally couldn't have done anymore for us apart from eat the food herself 😂... Nothing was an issue and she made us feel very secure that our sons food would be prepared correctly. We would highly recommend the Slug and Lettuce to all of our friends and family. Thank you for making our visit so easy and enjoyable.

Came in today after being turned away at The Rose for breakfast at 12.15.Despite it being past 12, the waitress went to ask if OK at the kitchen, and let us order. Really refreshing to get decent service from a place. Nice fry up too. Didn't catch the ladies name but reddish hair, in bunches, with glasses. Thank you (and to the kitchen). Bring back ADB!!!

It’s been recently refurbished here and now has a lovely interior. It’s very classy with a nice atmosphere, with lots of tables and plenty of standing space. The lunch time food menu has a decent range of items from small plates to large sharers. It was easy enough to order at the bar but unfortunately one of the items was incorrect, coming as a steak rather than a steak wrap. It was quickly resolved by the kitchen though and the member of staff serving was apologetic. The portion size wasn’t the largest for the price but everything was well cooked and tasty. Throughout the meal the staff made sure that everything was ok and we were made to feel welcome throughout. I would happily return for some drinks here or a small snack, probably not for a full meal as there is better value to be had elsewhere nearby. But it’s a nice relaxing place during the day and has been done out nicely.

Original name ! A new opening, was it a Yates before this? Hopefully will be better. It looks fresh and brightly decorated inside, many option where to seat, different tables everywhere. Staff mainly girls, a good point to attract more guys to come in as it will be hard because of the pinkish design. Many cocktails to choose from, special deals 2 for 1 ( well £9, really), almost the standard price of 2 of them. But why is so focused on the pornstar martini ??? ( there's a strawberry one and even a tree of 7 or 9 of them for a party night) wow! Food also available an looks reasonably priced, haven't tried yet. Staff still in training, give them more time.. I really enjoyed my evening here, there is a really good selection of drinks and some great cocktails with even better deals if you by 2, we had a couple of sharing platters and they were very tasty, the music was pleasant and the general atmosphere was nice. The reason for only 4 stars is the toilets were really disgusting it was as if they hadn't been cleaned for a couple of days.
