It is always a right good laugh in here, the atmosphere is always welcoming and lively, to the point that you can usually strike up a conversation with strangers within about ten minutes of arrival. Rose is a lovely landlady, full of cheerful Irish charm. All drinks are reasonably priced for the area, and their selection of live music and other assorted pub entertainment is brilliant. It's also quite popular for watching live football and rugby at the weekend, and they sure know how to throw a party for St Patrick's Day! 🍀🇮🇪
Hopefully we'll see you all again soon, Smiths Arms! 🍻

We where there to play Pool in the league and had a great night even though we lost, a friendly atmosphere with a lovely landlady and friendly locals.

Good pub for meeting up with your mates that also like going in there. Good for kids in the summer if you want a traditional local without a play area. Not the sort of pub to go to if you're not a local resident unless meeting friends that already frequent the pub unless you are very confident and can strike up a conversation with absolute strangers.
I used to live 15 minutes walk away at my marching pace and knew 75% of the regulars so when the Griffin closed down this was where I went to meet mates.

A proper pub tucked away off the main road through Kempston. Popped in for a few pints and watched some football on a Sunday afternoon. Good banter amongst the regulars and landlord. Beer was good, the pubs clean and i felt very welcome there. Shame it's not nearer my home, as it would definitely be my local.
