Popped in mid afternoon on a Sunday. Fairly empty. Good service. Car park on the side of the beer garden. Nice for a quick drink

A good local pub; great for sports (especially football matches), perfect for families and chilling time. Price of a pint very reasonable, good welfare (seating & toilets) and gaming facilities. Features an electronic jukebox, pool table and darts board with pub branded darts available to loan during visit.

Just gone into the Duke Inn after 4 months without any contact with a pub. Staff are amazingly friendly and they have put in social distancing guidelines down to a tee. Best pint I've had in a long time so strongly recommend a visit 😊

I’ve always thought this looked like a nice pub as I passed over the years and there’s some nice seating outside where you can watch the world go by, as well as a sizeable garden at the rear. Unfortunately the interior isn’t quite as impressive and although pleasant enough could do with a refresh. The welcoming staff are wonderful though and I was made to feel welcome - ignore any ‘locals vibe’ you might initially get because the place is certainly friendly. There’s lots of TV screens throughout and there’s plenty of seating and tables, all of which was comfortable. I thought it was a nice place for a relaxing drink and I’d happily return!

Recently moved to the area, visited the pub quite a few times and have found the landlord and landlady extremely friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend this pub.

The recent refurbishment has transformed this old pub into a trendy modern feeling pub. We had a fabulous night with friends - drinking, laughing and occasionally dancing through to the small hours. Great staff and Landlady too.

the best pub in Bedford bar none. Belinda, Arthur, Bobby and Bethan are so warm and friendly. Not been made so welcome in a long time. Beer is superb, food great, nothing too much trouble. Kids made very welcome. The pub itself is spotless, clean toilets, garden etc. We wish Belinda and staff all the success they richly deserve .
