We love this place! It's done up very nicely and the staff are always very attentive and friendly. The only reason it loses a star is because the coffee is bitter and cloudy. As black coffee drinkers we're very particular about our coffee! It's got to have a crema on top. Also, the sausages weren't that tasty. Aside from those two things, the rest of the food was lovely and in previous visits the food has always been very tasty. The toilets here are always very clean, as well as the rest of the venue. Our favourite place to eat in Ampthill.

Another 5 star meal at this delightful restaurant! Breakfast this time and it was just as amazing as lunch and the coffee was really great. We were greeted promptly and politely. Staff were very accommodating with the lady I support's requests where possible which is a great help. The food was also delicious. Stellar all in all

Love this place! The décoration is nice and vintage, the staff is always helpful and polite. Good variety of drinks and lovely breakfast. I definetely recommend the avocado breakfast with some additional mushrooms! 🥑🍳🍄

Stopped here for cake and a glass of wine, both of which were 1st class. Lovely setting, friendly staff and would love to come back again to make a proper evening of it. Have also had coffee here which was great too - locally roasted beans which you can buy a bag of too!

What a fantastic little hidden away place with seating outside and 2 floors inside. Very friendly staff with a great lunch menu. Food was served fresh and excellent quality. Just missed the breakfast menu which is a shame as it looks great. Will definitely come back again.

Came in for a light lunch with my 8 year old daughter. It's an absolute gem of a place. Warm friendly service. Great food. I can imagine it turning into a real hub of the town in the evenings. Clearly very well run by the owner (s). Very chic. Will be back when next in the area.

The hide fills a niche that Ampthill has been crying out for far too long! It manages to be both quaint and classy at the same time and has a really great atmosphere for breakfast, lunch and for drinks in the evening. The staff are amazingly polite and always make you feel welcome and valued

This is a modern bar converted out of an old butchers premises. Decorated to a high standard and a lovely courtyard area. Very homely feel but only lagers and spirits on offer. Nothing for the real ale drinker. Well worth a visit though.

Lovely food (we had the jacket potatoes) and a cosy atmosphere with fairy lights upstairs. Staff were very accommodating, finding us a table and a high chair. Only downside (and hence losing a star) was no where to change a nappy, I think they could probably fit a pull down change table above the loo (in the ladies and gents) although I understand it's tight!

I recently asked what Vegan options were available. I was asked what I would like. My request of an Avocado/humous/salad Ciabatta was promptly brought to my table and was delicious. Thank you to The Hyde and please add this to the menu. Highly recommended.
