We visited The Jolly Coopers on a Sunday afternoon after bringing the dogs for a big walk up at Wrest Park. I informed them beforehand that I am gluten intolerant and I was able to have a full roast dinner with all the trimmings. The staff came out to let us know our food would be slightly longer as the chef was cleaning down everything thoroughly before preparing my dinner to avoid any cross contamination. To someone who has this condition it was like hitting the Sunday Roast jackpot as sometimes is can be a game of roulette. They brought water over for the dogs and gave us a lovely spot in the corner. We will be back.

Blooming marvellous - needed a quick pit stop on the way to Northampton. Found it on Google maps - Just fabulous - super friendly smiley staff (thanks) and the food and menu were superb. Home cooked, fairly priced - great choice would highly recommend!

Nice pub small bar music on in the small bar couldn't move wonder why larger room or marquee wasn't used.only stayed for 1 drink would have made a night of it we needed seats was there early so full quickly,anyway that aside nice atmosphere in the pub and friendly.

This our second time coming to Jolly Coopers and it lives up to high expectations! Last time my partner ordered a fully stacked burger and he did once again this time as it was THAT GOOD! I ordered the fish cakes with salad and sweet potato fries and honestly it was the best fish cakes I’ve had in my life! If you live near this area or want an amazing meal, I highly recommend this pub!

This is the third meal I've had here and the steak meal was excellent. My partner thought the sausages could have been tastier, with little seasoning. We had the Sunday roast a couple of weeks ago and although very large portions and tasty , it was only warm and the veg was like bullets. It was early evening, so it was possibly kept under a heat lamp since cooked for lunch time. Over heard that the chef had gone home earlier as it was quiet Bit disappointed. But came back and like what I had.

Stopped in here after an afternoon out walking, was very impressed by the food options, it included a good range of options for vegans and vegetarians plus gluten free options. As someone with a food sensitivity it was wonderful to have options and everything tasted great. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, will definitely be returning again next time I'm in the area!

Lovely meal and table service, also very impressed with there covid set up in the pub. The Stilton sauce was fantastic to accompany the steaks that were served at our table. I even managed to take home the leftovers with regards to the sauce. Will definitely recommend to visit this place 👍

Good welcome, facilities excellent and strict adherence to covid regs. Beer limited due to supply problems from brewers but not a problem as the one beer available on tap was good. Didn't have food this time so will return very soon.

Air conditioned dining room was very useful as it was a very hot day. We all had various dishes from the menu. Service was excellent throughout cannot fault the staff. Only downside was frozen roast potatoes not freshly roasted, but we can live with that. Will definitely return. The décor was very good clean + fresh, also a good sized garden.

Friendly and attentive staff. Portions were big, but I felt the flavours were a little bland and the ingredients lacking- the aubergine stew had no aubergine. Many meals come with a big side salad which I find quite bland. But you get a lot of food on your plate for your money so it's good if you like that

A couple of friends took me for a pub lunch, and I expected to the food to be of a standard, but wow it's at a level or two above my expectations, an undiscovered gem of a place... I had the chicken madras, it was nicely presented, super tasty, spicy hot without overpowering the dish, and I struggled to finish eating all that was on the plate - I'm going back for certain.

My partner and I stopped here, after a lovely afternoon at Wrest Park, for a bite to eat ... Or a full meal after we saw the menu and couldn't resist! I had the pork and apple sausages and my partner had the cod and chips, the portions were more than generous (my boyfriend struggled with the size of the cod!) For very reasonable prices! A rare find these days, in such a beautiful location with a very quaint and sweet feel to it. Definitely worth it! Thank you to the staff for being attentive and very polite :)

We celebrated a birthday here and all our party of various ages were very impressed. We were made very welcome and the pub was lovely - they're obviously trying very hard and it shows. Food was delicious, beer battered cod just melted away, steaks were great and well cooked as ordered. Starters were also delicious although portions are definitely on the substantial side so we couldn't manage dessert. Drinks were great, the gin menu was particularly welcome, just wished we lived nearer. It was also appreciated to be given a jug of water without needing to ask. Service wasn't included on the bill and was left to customer's discretion which I prefer rather than all this automatically adding 12.5%. Very impressed and well worth a visit, we'll make sure we return.

Another very popular country pub. Always busy and great friendly atmosphere. Booking for the excellent restaurant is advised, even for Monday's and Tuesdays. A measure of it's popularity. A cosy pub with good food and dedicated staff for a superb night out. Totally recommended.

Had a lovely Christmas meal this afternoon with eight friends, second year we have been to the Jolly Coopers. They even decorated the restaurant early with Christmas decorations. We all thououghly enjoyed ourselves and the friendly staff went out of their way to make our festive lunch very very Merry. Thank you.

There was quite a large party of us that came to eat here. I had the salmon as a main, which was quite nice. Unfortunately however, I was told the steak, which the majority of the party had, was a bit tasteless. There was, however, quite a generous amount of food per portion. The deserts were fairly nice too. The downfalls to the meal we had were drinks were hugely overpriced, and when I was served a drink with my meal, there was a dead spider on the glass. As you can expect, with a large party, it can be a bit difficult when the food comes out, who ordered what etc. What we didn't expect though was our party to be shouted at by who I presume was the manager/owner, as if we were school children, because there was a mix up with the steaks! I would however like to add that there were two lovely waitresses that served us on the night, who really did try to make sure we were provided with everything we needed.

First time of going into the Jolly Coopers and wasnt dissapointed. A great variety of beers, ciders and spirits at a fair pub price in a traditional friendly Pub setting. Beer garden is spacious and clean and a great sun spot on a warm day. Unfortunately didnt get to try any food as we only went in for a drink however im sure I will go back to try the food soon!

What a find. Travelling through the area looking for lunch and random picked the JC, could not have stopped at a better place. Food excellent, a good choice of ales in a classic pub with updated feel, without losing the original feel and features. Staff and clientele really friendly and helpful
