Went here for a lunch business meeting. We were nicely greeted. As we were waiting for our lunch, a bite size hummus on a triangle pita was complementary, which was a lovely touch. 2 of us had the special of steak burger with Stilton. Basically it’s a home made burger, but a really tasty burger. It came with chips & onion rings. The chef knows what they’re doing. This is the first visit since new management & I would recommend this place 100%. I didn’t get a chance to photo the beautifully presented dishes, as it was a meeting. The staff were friendly & the right amount of attentiveness. Thank you.

My birthday lunch was really delicious and I definitely had burger envy for my husband's dinner! The staff were very polite and helpful. I brought food with me for my baby who can't eat from the kids menu yet and it was absolutely fine. The pub looks lovely inside and on a sunny day there's lots of outside space so I imagine we'll be back for a drink or another yummy meal soon.

Visited the White Hart for Sunday lunch today. We had the roast chicken and roast beef and it was by far the best roast we have had dining out. Would defiantly recommend.

We were sad the old owners moved but actually the new owners have a fantastic menu. It was hard to choose but in the end I had swordfish with a salsa and afterwards the mediterranean orange cake which had a devine texture and tasted delicious, my husband had the apple tart with caramel sauce which was also very good. When we have more time I'd go back for starters, the scallops looked good.

Called in by chance for dinner on a Wednesday night. Restaurant was about half full at this time. Three of us had main courses and desserts. All the food was excellent (especially our beef wellington). I Had a very good cheeseboard as well. All our food and drink was excellent. Service was good and the restaurant itself is also in very good order. Proper restaurant food as opposed to pub grub. Will happily go back.

Superb menu, I could not fault the food. The presentation was sublime. The dauphinoise was unlike any I have had before. The way the chef made it was a Labour of love by making a cake of potato which takes a day but it is worth the time and care. The cheeseboard was superb. There were six of us and we all cleared our plates. Great food. Not pub food!

Had a great Sunday roast. Plenty of meat and lots of vegetables and roast potatoes as well as a Yorkshire pudding only lacking sufficient gravy. Saying that I do like plenty of gravy and quantity may be ok for others. Only half of our party managed to finish theirs. Still had space for an equally delicious dessert. Good service and will be back soon.

Had to go and ask to take our drink orders even then we had to wait for ages for someone to take our drinks order.After letting them know we were here and they checked the booking. After we had eaten no one came to take our plates away only asked us if we wanted any sweet after i paid my bill. I would go back and try again as food was good and staff were friendly but not very efficient not sure whether it was because they were busy?

Very good. Food was very good, Sunday lunch menu, the majority available gluten free. Some interesting menu options e.g. the espresso Panacotta, with cinnamon crisp and orange sauce. Possibly the best sticky toffee pudding ever. Great environment, a thatched roofed pub. Service was very good too, attentive at the right times. Recommended.

Beautiful looking pub with traditional thatched roof in a quiet village off the beaten track. I had a very pleasant lunch here with a friend with good food and excellent service. A cut above your usual pub grub, more gastropub, with prices to match. Worth it if you want to avoid the pre-packaged, reheated meals that are so often served in pubs these days. Although I'm sure they are child friendly, I would recommend it more for a business lunch or adults only meal. Sunday lunchtimes may differ and be more family orientated but worth checking first.

Dined here at Lunchtime on Sunday 6th, March, with a neighbour of mine. Booked in for 12:30. Arrived promptly and shown straight to our table. Staff took our drinks order and left us to agonise over the menu. We both chose the Chicken Strips to start followed by the Baked Salmon Supreme for the main course. We were both very pleased with our choices. (So much so when later in the week I dined at their sister restaurant - the Bedford Arms at Oakley with an old work colleague, and being a creature of habit I mad the same choice - and was just as pleased.). The White Hart has recently been acquired by the same people as run the Bedford Arms, and they have quickly put their stamp on the White Hart. The staff were well trained , friendly and attentive. The place quickly filled up later in our visit and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Well worth a visit.

Popped in for a quick snack on Friday lunch. Sat outside and nice balcony area. A few people inside the restaurant. Food and dessert was very nice. Waitresses very nice and polite and service good. But Waitresses not wearing masks so a bit disappointed and felt a bit unsafe. Would I go back again, don’t think so I am afraid due to no mask wearing.

came to the White Hart following the easing of covid restrictions. At the time of the visit we had to sit outside but we were seated in a big marquee which was well heated considering there were only two closed side panels and we picked to attend in gale force winds. This is a great pub for food or for a beer, and the new owners were doing a great job with it before the latest lockdown. Their weekend takeaway is great - the scampi and the burgers in particular stand out. Worth giving a go.

We came across this gem of a place by chance... the staff were lovely, and the landlady was super friendly and sorted us a lovely table on the terrace. I went with my extended family for Sunday lunch and the service was courteous, friendly and efficient. The food was good quality although the beef part of roast I had was rather gristly and overcooked. Older reviews have criticised the service but my visit showed this is a thing of the past. Went for carvery but this has been taken off. Website not updated yet. Had fish pie instead. Plenty of chunky bits of fish, though not as much potato. Came piping hot which is nice. Would have been good to have more to soak up juices. Came with salad. Might be better with vegetables? Mixed.hot and cold seems a bit strange! Good atmosphere and nice surroundings. Service ok, needed to prompt to order after being seated.

Visited The White Hart as a family group of seven. The staff were very accommodating and rearranged tables to suit our group size. The pub has a great atmosphere and is well presented, clean and tidy. There is a garden at the front of the premises which is adult and child friendly. There is a children's play area and goal posts to the rear which kept the children entertained while waiting for our meals to arrive. All of our group chose fish and chips as it was a Friday lunch time. Food arrived in good time and we were all served at the same time. Overall a very pleasant pub to visit. Thank you.

OMG I struggled to find a well worth steak in this country and the woburn venison was just heaven... so were the scallops and all the desserts we shared... Next time I'll get photos for sure!!!

Nice place, but because of the building not all the restaurant was accessible, and the disabled toilet would not have been accessible to the member of our party in a wheelchair. They are in a wide wheelchair, but the ramp leading up to the narrow doorway was not wide enough for a standard wheelchair, thankfully it wasn't a problem for us as they didn't need to use that facility. Food was good, some dishes a bit pricy, and while the staff were nice and rectified any mistakes, they did make mistakes. No actual complaints though, just not a perfect experience.

Must say, not sure where half of the negative reviews on here come from. Me and my partner on occasion come out of our way to have Sunday roast here as a treat and it's a fair journey. The food is always to a high standard and the staff are always friendly and accomodating. The atmosphere is very relaxed and we always feel comfortable. Prices are also more than reasonable. Look forward to going back there again today for a delicious Sunday roast. Take the negative reviews with a pinch of "salt" and the idea of someone being charged for a plate I suspect is an exaggeration. If someone sells out of a particular food surely there are 2 ways of looking at that, bad organisation, or perhaps its very popular and they "sold out". Anyway go there and enjoy we always do!

I went here 2 Saturdays ago and only 3 tables were been used ,I know now why, the food was ok the service was ok but the thing that I can not forget IS I HAD THE CHEASE BOARD NEALY 8.00 POUNDS FOR VERY LITTLE AND MY WIFE THOUGHT SHE WOULD HAVE SOME SO I ASKED FOR A EXTRA PLATE AND WHEN I GOT THE BILL THEY HAD CHARGED ME 75P FOR IT ,I WAS SPEACHLESS.DONT THEY HAVE A DISHWASHER
