M. E.Visited this bar with a group of 7 people - we were seated quickly and service was great overall! The tomato soup was a little underwhelming but the taste of the Irish stew was good. Would come back but wouldn’t order the same thing!
J. K.Lovely atmosphere of young and old. Excellent bar staff and good prices and alcohol. Great wee barmaid when we were there constantly clearing glasses and cleaning up. Always asked at just the right time for a repeat order without mithering! Great for a catch up with friends.......or a bet on the horses on a Saturday afternoon.
J. S.A table of 5 of us came in without a problem we were seated immediately, even had our own little booth which I thought was great! We had the fish and chips which tasted amazing I would definitely recommend this place the girl who served us was so friendly and food and drink reasonably priced, they could’ve charged much more in the Belfast city centre too!
B. W.Went in for a late cocktail and watch the end of football game. Bartenders were more intent on closing for the night then providing service, but cocktails were good and game was a nailbiter. Nice place, just need to go in earlier I think.

S.Nice bar in the heart of Belfast which was buzzing and great to see. Only thing was the staff litterly throwing empty bottles into the bottle bin and the noise. Just a small thing but annoying when they could have just put in without the drama, it seemed to be a game they played with each other maybe give them an extra 10 mins to play with themselves and avoid the sexual tension. Just an observation. The security gentleman was a true gent, hats off to him, refreshing to see. 😎 👍

T. 7.Just had Baked Irish Ham with champ and cabbage which was excellent. Guinness is good here too and all reasonably priced too. Friendly staff serving it all up with a smile and a few laughs.

A.A nice place to go prices were cheaper here than most parts of the city the food was good and staff friendly although the security guard on Saturday was rude sure I get there allowed only so much people on busy times but he asked to check what was in my wife’s bag she doesn’t drink alcohol at all it was more his attitude he was so annoying. The food on the Thursday I had chips with beef and mushroom pie the meat was cooked so well nice and tender. My wife had sausages and mash with gravy. So I do recommend this place in general it is a nice place
C. M.City centre pub which is very close to shopping, restaurants, theatres and anything else you could be in town for to be honest. Young and old frequent this pub, and it seems to have a lot of people who follow the racing downstairs. Upstairs has music on occasions, but I have not been up to visit. Typical city centre prices. I find this bar decent to have a few pints before moving on somewhere else. It is certainly alright for a visit.

Limited numbers allowed in, and table service only because of Covid, but my wife and me were able to get a table without booking ahead, and were warmly welcomed and quickly served. L. S.Visited here today as it had been recommended by family who visited last week. The food was lovely and the service was fast and friendly. Added bonus that they were taking part in eat out to help out, although the menu prices are very reasonable anyway. We will definitely return. The tables were set up to conform with social distancing, so no concerns there.

J. D.We were met at the door by a barman who explained that it was table service only due to COVID and showed us to a table near the front door. We were immediately aware of an extremely loud group of women who were very obviously drunk (it was around 7pm) and were continuing to be served. There was a live band with a female singer who then set up upstairs. With each new song we were "treated" to our own karaoke version by the increasingly raccous group of females. We noticed the service was very slow as the bar staff were constantly engaging with the group and an older group of four sat at the table next to us had to wait 20 minutes for their drinks, which made them furious!
Eventually the bouncer came in to tackle the women and warned them several times that they would be asked to leave if they didn't behave and keep the noise down. They were served more drinks and then when they proceeded to dance around the bar they were ejected. What wasn't fair was that the barmen and bouncer blamed the older group for complaining so on their way out one of the women came over and protested to them.
We left shortly afterwards. I wouldn't recommend Brennan's for a quiet drink or relaxed atmosphere.
J.Nice bar, friendly service. Was very quiet when there but a nice pint of Guinness in comfy surroundings has marked me down for another visit.

I. K.In my experience, this deserves higher ratings than it currently has. We've had friendly staff and good service. It's a proper pub and a real alternative to the tourist trap that is the Crown Bar right across the street. Prices here are also what they should be.
For decent food, good service, and good prices, you can do a lot worse in this part of town.
T. G.We showed up just before a football match so it was getting busy and no music. Great food and our server, a happy spirit, was very attentive and kept our orders in line. It is a busy pub in a busy section of a hectic tourist area, so expect it to be busy.
N.As a bar this place is grand for a drink and somewhere to wait on the bus when it's cold. I definitely wouldn't get food here though because it's filthy. If the kitchen is anything like the parts open to the public I dread to think what it's like! The smell from the toilets is absolutely horrendous and management should really consider getting in a cleaner but I suppose they make enough money on people just dropping in for one. Don't know if I'd bother going back or even I'd even have stayed were the bus stop not just across the road. If your looking for food best keep looking! The staff are friendly though and the doorman was really nice so I'm giving it three stars.

S. M.Dropped in just after 8pm on Thursday night. Thankfully they were still serving food. I had the mixed grill. Steak, gammon, liver, bacon, sausages, chips, mushrooms and tomato and all for £11.95. Great value. Good selection of beers. Will definitely be back

M.Well, in my younger years my bar of choice was always Laverys, so I'm no delicate flower ... but, I've been in here twice now and find it a bit rough and ready but without the charm of a spit and sawdust type pub. It just feels a bit grubby, like you need to check your glass to make sure it's clean. At 10pm, they'd no lemon left and staff were generally ... I couldn't say rude ... but disinterested. We quickly moved on as there are many nicer places to have a drink in Belfast!

We came at 4pm one Friday; Was so surprised.. a waiter handling around free sausage-sandwich as you see in my photos (instead of usual petite canapes); ... Ohh wooww!!! 😊😄 we had never seen anything like this anywhere else, 👏👍 We went out for a dinner and look around outlets somewhere else; .. And guess what.. we return to Brennan's and stay there till literally wee hours 😀. The music is very good both from DJ and live music. People are having a good time, relax, chat and dance around, .. Tourists, locals, and anybody. People are friendly, smiling and nice, service is good and caring. Recommended 👌🙌!!

O. A.Not serving alcohol til 5 on good Friday, which is fair enough, its the law. So wanted to sit at the table at watch the football match we spent ages looking for a pub which had it on. The staff forced us to order something, so I had to get a coke otherwise we weren't allowed to sit at a table waiting for the alcohol to be served. The staff were rude and made the first 45mins of football unenjoyable. We quickly left at half time, and could believe how nice the next pub was in comparison.

M.Went there tonight for a meal with my husband, I had the fish and chips which were incredible and my husband had the Irish ham with champ, veg and gravy, the gravy came in a sauce boat so you had the choice of using or not, my hubby said it was amazing and the small part I had of his bore that out would not hesitate to recommend this place for food, shame I can only give it five stars, the female waitress we had was very friendly and knew her stuff as I overheard her talking to another couple one of which had special dietary needs and she steered her right, so well done brennan's for your food and your customer service.
