The food was really great! I had the chicken BLT and wasn’t sure about it because it came on ciabatta, which is usually quite hard in restaurants. This was hands down the best BLT I’ve ever had. The bread was soooo soft. It was more like a melted BLT, but would HIGHLY recommend. My friend had the Parmesan chicken and said it was amazing as well. Just note the service is a bit slow, but friendly, so don’t think you’ll just pop in and out.

I had the meat pie (I think that is what it’s called) and really enjoyed it. The sandwiches are massive. The service was great.

We had such an amazing time when we visited this past weekend on our trip to Belfast. The food was gorgeous, the drinks were fabulous! and the welcome couldn't have been warmer. The singer on Friday night was great, and we loved singing along with him. Although all the bar staff were lovely and friendly we feel like we should give special mentions to the ones we had more interaction with. Benji, Lauren and Shaun (hope I've spelt them right!) couldn't have been more helpful or made us feel more at home. They served us with a smile, and gave us tips on where to visit on our trip. Thank so much guys. We will be back (soon hopefully).

Great food and service. Really nice restaurant and bar too to sit and relax. Def one of the better pub grub places in town
I. f.

We had the opportunity to experience Restaurant Week in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Belfast is a great little town with exciting history and beautiful buildings; definitely somewhere we wish we could have spent some more time at.
After getting a recommendation from a few workers at a local coffee shop as well as picking up a full restaurant week booklet from the tourist office, we decided to go to The Apartment for a gourmet Irish dinner.
We were seated upstairs at a couch adjacent to a big glass wall overlooking town hall and the city center. For the restaurant week special we got to choose two of either an appetizer, dinner, or dessert in addition to a glass of wine for €13.
We ordered an appetizer of smoked salmon with beetroot mousse, rye bread, and gherkins. The mousse was really something special, but when you got a perfect bite with each item on the plate it was mouth watering.
I ordered the Northern Irish Bacon Chopvwith traditional black pudding, garlic potatoes, and cauliflower puree. We’d never seen bacon served as a slab, but it was pretty epic, and yes I ate the whole thing. It was a little on the salty side, but well worth the experience. The cauliflower was amazing and left us searching for a recipe!
My wife ordered the roast local cod with potato mash. The cod was cooked to perfection with a buttery goodness that highlighted the delicate flavor. The artichoke puree complimented it very well. They really know their purees and mousses! The mash was very cheesy and tasty, but nothing too special, the garlic fries were better.
For our final course we ordered their steamed chocolate pudding with honeycomb ice-cream and a latte. The dessert was almost like a lava cake but with a very enjoyable and unique texture that made it light and delicious. The caramel drizzle and ice cream were a perfect pairing. The latte was delicious and a perfect rounded ending to a very good meal.

Food is alright it's nothing special like but based on the prices for city centre it's quite cheap and cheerful
N. G.
A very wide variety of menu and a lot of choices.
As the name says chopped, vegetables are literally chopped once you select them for your bowl.
Descent sized portions and reasonable prices.
Recommended for light or heavy feeds!

First time there must say meal was lovely and staff very nice as well will be back again
C. C.
Was at HellCat Maggie’s last night, great place to go, live music, great food and cocktails and I have to say the staff were excellent so friendly and attentive!
A. S.
Staff were very friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. The fish was enormous!! Definitely worth the money. We'll be back here again 👍👍
D. H.
Really enjoyed our time here. The food was good. We just shared a large buffalo wings with onion rings.
The wings were fine - we've certainly had better/nicer wings - but if you just need something small for lunch then they'll be perfect.
The onion rings were really nice - maybe a tad greasy (could have been left to drain a little longer) but the flavour was very good.
They have a beer garden which was great to have in this weather.
The staff were super friendly and professional - would definitely call back.

We found this pub restaurant by chance on a weekend break to Belfast and all I can say is it was fabulous. Lovely old style decor. Food was delicious and my daughter is picky. Staff were fabulous also and especially Rebecca who served us. Their lucky to have you
M. A.
Ordered the starter and main deal and was great nicely presented and solidly good food. Staff were great too.

Anytime I stay overnight in Belfast , one things for sure , I always have my evening meal in Hell Cat Maggies, finished with a Cold Crisp Pint or Two of Heverlee, a really cosy atmosphere with great staff and live music
M. H.
Simple but very tasteful food. Live music of multiple acts. Lots of different beers, which I always like. And very friendly staff providing very quick services.
All in all a nice pub to be in, with a nice atmosphere. Just arrived here in Belfast, so cannot really compare yet. But was good already.
J. I.
Food & atmosphere very good. Live music was also good.
L. P.
Great place for an excellent pint of Guinness ! Lovely staff and a great view looking over to the Town Hall !
F. C.
Recently refurbished and looking well. Well served, great selection of cocktails and beers at decent prices. Frequently has live music and well designed outdoor area. Friendly staff and lively atmosphere.
T. B.
Fantastic quality food, great views over the city, well recommended
L. D.
Get a window seat to overlook City Hall.
Nicely furnished and has attentive staff. Great food, some good beers, and an eclectic taste in 80s and 90s music.
Y. C.
Service fab. Food delicious. Loved it. Will be back x
R. C.
Ellie was amazing. Lovely and very attentive server.
R. H.
Called in after my engagement and was served by Sophie, a nicer girl u could not meet. She recommended a cocktail for us and came back to c what we thought and had the time and manners to spend time to chat with us
S.
Great views good Friendly staff reasonably priced
K. H.
I love the Apartment, Great food, fantastic Cocktails, Live music and plenty of room. It's always clean and staff are really friendly. :) 5*
G. M.
Brilliant hidden gem in the city. Very friendly staff who go the extra mile to ensure your experience is amazing. Food is up there with the best and would recommend wings and steak sandwich.
R. O.
Food was top class bar food, great window seat overlooking the city hall. Service a bit slow but would put it down to the paid back atmosphere
K. M.
Wow!!! We are most impressed with this restaurant and bar. We were down for a weekend and randomly took a gamble here. Shaun and Carla were absolutely fantastic! Best service we have received in Belfast! The food was soooo delicious!!! Very reasonably priced! So happy we came here. Thank you! What an amazing place to visit we will be back!
M. J.
Fantastic food and service, 5 stars aren't enough
M. B.
Loved it. First bar back after opening up from the coronavirus. Full table service, with restrictions to only leave for the toilet, to have a smoke or to actually leave the premise. Although if leaving the premises was restricted I don't think I'd be too bothered. Pints and wings make me do things
M. W.
Booked a few tables for a hen party night out, was absolutely brilliant. The staff & owner were absolutely lovely couldn’t do enough for us. There was a great live music line-up, good crowd & buzz. Will def be back next time we’re in Belfast <3
K. G.
Good food, great staff and fantastic cocktails. Deffo going to be returning to this place again
D. C.
Great food. Good service. Chicken and waffle was absolutely delicious. Fair prices for gorgeous food. Nice friendly staff.
D. H.
Absolutely fantastic - great service, nice drinks and really good vibe.
If you're ever passing then I can highly recommend HellCat Maggies
K. P.
We loved the atmosphere in Maggies. Crowd were friendly and not overly rowdy. We sat and enjoyed a few beers with a great view of the coming and goings of those visiting city hall (happenrd to be an outdoor cinema that weekend so was interesting to watch). We called in at least once a day over our 3 day stay so would recommend.
S. M.
Really lovely lunch here. Bangers and mash were great. The floor staff were lovely and friendly and attentive. However, I tried to pay my bill at the bar because I was in my lunch break so wanted to speed things up. Guy behind the bar really wasn't friendly (from the get go when I ordered the meal in the first place at the bar). Asked for my bill, walked away with no explanation. Then he shows up again, hands me the bill and walks off again. Stood there until the other bartender took my payment. Must have been up there for about 10 minutes when all I wanted to do was give them my money! Honestly it might sounds like an insignificant issue to deduct a point from the restaurant but it was quite an unpleasant way to end the experience.
D.
This place went through some change and I think for me it changed for the better. Live music and super fast staff is my experience with a nice view on the City Hall. Wanna people watch from above during the day? Get a seat beside the window and spend hours there guessing thoughts and drinking whatever tastes you like. Recommend going to this warmly place with inside secluded smoking area if that's what you like.
A. A.
We had a great window seat to enjoy looking out over Belfast. The staff are very friendly, good service too.
P. H.
Nice place to go to for a casual drink. Decent enough selection of beers but the cocktails are the main attraction. This place does the best White Russian I have had in Belfast so far. The staff are sound and the smoking area is decent enough. Never too cramped during the times that I have been there.
G. E.
Delicious food and nice atmosphere 🤤🍷
C. L.
First time here and wont be the last! Lovely cocktails, gorgeous food and the staff couldnt do enough for us!! Special thanks to Sean!
a. l.
My husband and I have just had a beautiful meal (2 course pigsback deal) here- couldn't fault it at all. Tasty, nicely presented, hot and timely. Have to commend our waiter Ted he was very courteous, pleasant and helpful.
J. H.
Food was amazing, and the staff very pleasant and helpful.
K. A.
Nice place let down by its staff. In for a delicious pint and although the service was slow was happy enough to wait. The lady beside me had been waiting longer than I so I let he go ahead. She asked for a couple of drinks and a lemonade. The lemonade was served and she politely asked for a glass, to be told by the barman to "Calm down". Manners cost nothing folks
Y. T.
Had my very first Irish coffee ever. Nice cosy with pop music on the background.
J. B.
During an unexpected stop over in Belfast waiting to catch a ferry, we stumbled upon Hellcat Maggies. We decided to give it a go for a bite to eat. We were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was fun. As we don't drink we were able to go straight through to the "Grub" room. Very nice. We sat by floor length windows watching the Belfast Christmas market crowd. The service was excellent and the food also. I loved their vegetable soup!!!
S. C.
Enjoyed the food. But the service was extremely slow. Two waitresses rushed off their feet. Waited to be seated for 10 minutes while staff walked passed us. Got seated , had the meal. We were going to order more drinks and desert but no one came over. So we waited 20 minutes to pay bill in the end we had to walk up and queue at the bar to pay our food bill.
C. I.
Great setting and atmosphere. Live music and fairly priced drinks.
S. I.
We were in Belfast for an hour on a tour stop and it was pouring so we popped in for some food. I had a Reuben and my husband had a cheeseburger. Both were delicious as were the chips (fries) they served with them. A good location if you're downtown. Serving staff was helpful and nice and the atmosphere is great. A good view of City Hall if you can get a seat by the windows. I took off one star because the restrooms desperately needed some attention.
N. F.
Fantastic food! The steak sandwich is amazing. Well decorated, lovely staff, great service and a good variety of choices even at lunchtime. It is a firm favourite of mine to meet friends for lunch.
S. M.
The food and drink were good but we couldn't get service at all. We were trying to find a table that wasn't so close to the live music but we weren't sure where we were allowed to sit, we were clearly having trouble and at one point I tried to flag down a passing waiter but he just walked on. When we decided to go in and get food it seemed like only one girl was working - although she was lovely and very helpful - the rest of the staff were walking around with handfuls of cutlery and moving chairs etc but not paying one bit of attention to customers.
F. M.
Service is the issue - both bar and food. It wasn't that busy but the bartender took over 10 mins to make 2 simple cocktails. I was standing at the bar and watched him faff about, tidy bottles that he hadn't used and then have a chat with what was obviously a supervisor. Despite the sign to wait to be seated for food, we gave up waiting, at the entrance to the not busy dining area, and seated ourselves. Sort it out!!
S. H.
Visited on a Saturday evening.Cocktails were nice. It was a nice day but the place was empty, no atmosphere about it. Decor becoming a bit dated, along with the dj/music. Needs to up its game to compete with cathedral quarter.
V. G.
Food absolutely gorgeous, lovely food for vegetarians like me!! Wine a tad expensive 🍷but wouldn't put me off returning soon! Staff were fab ♥
M. R.
Really good falafel burger. Their own IPA isn't great and I later noticed that they charged me for an extra pint. Good pint of Guinness though.
Weird policy of not serving food if you're on a bar stool, which was annoying, but we were lucky to snag a table. Good for watching the rugby and there was live music afterwards too.
A. S.
Amazing food, moody place, love the live music ❤️
Z. S.
Good food, good drinks and always have a nice time when here.
a. m.

D. C.
Nice atmosphere, live music, good service and convenient location right in the centre of Belfast.
We only had one drink here but are planning to go back again and spend more of the evening and may have food next time.
C. C.
What a great place, lovely view over City Hall and watching the world pass by. Relaxed, friendly, good drinks selection, good menu, delicious and generous portions of food. Very friendly staff. Be sure to visit whenever in Belfast.
K. W.
Got the ny chicken and waffles. Outstanding.......... the spicy buffalo chicken mixed with the bitter spring onions and set on a sweet american waffle was the perfect combination with a wee bit of sour cream. Just perfect will be back to try another main meal in the near future. 5 ☆ food and great service.
A. H.
Great food, good ambiance (excellent music!!) and amazing stuff! :)
C. F.
Nice wee pub with good atmosphere and stylish decor, stopped in her for a Heverlee on a Saturday afternoon and were greeted to a spot of trad music. Has a heated smoking area with it's own bar.
D. R.
Was over from Glasgow, loved it in here
J. M.
Nice friendly bar. Decorated in the trendy hipster style but nice staff and good vibe. Had a bar snack and it was very nice. The waiter was really friendly. Pleasant experience
B. C.
Lovely Venue, drinks a tad pricey, but it's kind of worth it for the view and the atmosphere. Had great live music, when I was last in. I'd go back or meet friends there. Well appointed and high quality offerings.
S. O.
Went here after doing Belfast Marathon Relay. Was very busy but we were served fairly fast compared to friends of ours in another relay team who booked another restaurant. Food was nice too

C. V.
It's dark. It plays Irish music at full volume. It's expensive. Not a huge fan
S. G.
I am giving five stars, only for Eamon/ Damon (sorry for spelling couldn't hear very well due to noise) this gentleman is worth his weight in gold and could teach the rest of the staff a thing or two about customer service. He was so attentive to everyone around him, he couldn't do more for you, he is a credit to your establishment. He deserves a trip to Galgorm. Thank you #ginger and pineapple gin with SPRITE please.
D. M.
I was just meeting someone who was already there.
M. S.
Burger was 6/10, fries were very fatty, I asked for BBQ sauce and I got sth like tomato sauce and waiter told me it is BBQ :(. In the men's toilet the was no soap.
B. K.

Thank you

Good staff. Food pretty good, too much dressing on the caesar salad and it was difficult to eat soup with a dmall dessert spoon but pretty good all round.
R.
place changed over the years but now a decent spot for a beer closest to the city hall with usually live music.
C. M.
Not the usual type of place I would go (a bit upscale for me) but was there for a work do and had a really good night, was even able to have a bit of craic with the bouncers

Another run if the mill pub. In an age of craft beers and small batch trends. This bar still serves uninspired draft beers.
C. F.
