The food was great overall, my only qualm is that I was not crazy about the chicken gourdins/tenders because I wasn't a fan of the oil it was in. Everything else was great, the wings were very tender and fell off the bone.
The portion size here is enormous far beyond American portion size. The fish and chips was enough to feed three people. Also the desert was warm and delicious!
P. G.
Great experience!! Food and attendance excellent! I loved!! 😁
I highly recommended! There is a rooftop and a other place is outside, as a balcony. Perfect. I'll come back, certainly! Congrats team!
B.
Good music, easy lounging and good beers. Two pints for £10.80 isn't bad at all
D. C.
Decent door and bar staff. Place to be in Belfast be it on a night out or before a game at Windsor Park. Away fans friendly pub
J. H.
Good pool tables but the cocktails aren’t up to much. The French Martini is very child friendly as it appears to be nothing more than a sugary soft drink. The bar staff didn’t take the comment seriously, nor the manager. Stick to the black stuff.

I knew Laverys well when I was a student in Belfast in the 90’s. I popped in on a recent trip back to Ireland and boy has it changed. Excellent selection beers, fantastic separate bars including an awesome outside area. I will be back some day.
M. V.
This place has decent vibe on weekdays and when having crucial sporting event so you get to enjoy a lot. The food options for vegetarian is limited but they are always amazing. Specially the nachos and halloumi burger.
K. H.
Very strange mix of good and useless bar staff. Some of the most unhelpful, untrained incompetent bar staff I’ve had the misfortune of trying to get drink from. Don’t know what drinks are or just painfully slow and don’t know who to serve first, 3 stars is generous.
M. O.
I have lived and worked in South Belfast most of my life. And this is the first time I have been in Laverys. It was like an old school pub. Plenty of room, and the beer garden is super.
M. H.
I visited for a conference and found the staff friendly and helpful. The place looked clean and tidy. The conference was all the better for the hard work preparing the room etc.
P. C.
Great space for having a drink and socialising. No real atmosphere and some shocking pricing. There are much better options not too far away.
M. W.
We played many frames of pool, lots of T.Vs playing sport, they also served us many decent pints if Guinness, friendly efficient service.
R. M.
One of the best bars in Belfast, different floors with different musical vibes and plenty to do, from playing pool, to watching sports, to dancing in the nightclub, and a nice comedy club night in too!
N. B.
Nice authentic Irish pub. There is a lot of room to sit and grab a drink and you will likely spot a lot of folks who had too much to drink if you stay long enough. The snack menu is convenient given the restaurant which is next to the pub. The drink selection is pretty standard - I was expecting a bit more local options but otherwise its a great venue.
P. H.
Went in for someting to eat , had fish and chips and didnt realise the portions would be so big, friends had steak and Guinness pie and seafood platter which were big aswell. Staff in there are so helpful and polite, well done to all the staff
L. C.
Very great night was had! Loved the atmosphere and all the staff were very friendly that I dealt with especially the bouncers
G. F.
Great place to watch the rugby and football very busy
D.
It's an alright bar. I used to go regularly few years back, but my main issue is the bald bouncer who will stare at you, try to intimidate, try to size you up, and he did this with me like 4 or 5 times tbh. I stopped going cause of the bouncers.
A. B.
Great Spot for sport. Was pretty quiet midweek but you can tell this place can get rocking for the big events. Looing forward to coming back when it is busier!
c. o.
Had a great experience in Lavery’s ! We had a server called Eoghan Knight, what a guy served us with dignity and respect and made our night very enjoyable!!! Accommodating guy
j. w.
Comedy nights are highly recommended, great night out!
S. C.
Great service, staff were great
A. A.
Went to Laverys few weeks ago after years that last visit the place. I loved the expanded outside area. Great atmosfere.
J. A.
Tasty food, nice staff and lots of different spaces/bars. A very accessible and inclusive venue.
R. D.
Pints a bit flat, but pool tables decent £2.50 gets you 3 games
E.
Amazing pub with multiple floors and areas to fit whatever you want on your night out.
A. L.
Chikked atmosphere, friendly staff, was a great night to let my metaphorical hair down. Keep it up team!
J. H.
Food was absolutely amazing , staff really pleasant. Tables cleared really quickly, love it ❤
R. G.
Great place, friendly staff plus pool tables makes for a fun night
H. S. W.
Great for watching sports, having drinks with mates and enjoying an array of craft beers and pub snacks.
J. B.
Great bar lots of fun friendly staff
B. 1.
Food took 30+ minutes to arrive and it wasn't even busy. Bad service but a good looking place, the food was average. Overall it was a meh experience I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and think they were understaffed but I just don't know.
C. A.
Amazing service and atmosphere, great food
A. T. I. &. G. C. T.
Been here 2 times during my stay in Dublin. Loved the atmosphere and pies and kale salad (vegan and non vegan available). Combined with a delish beer you'll be set for a night out or an end to a nice day of sightseeing.
M. F.
Great bar. Good guiness
G. C.
Even better than I remember, great atmosphere, top pool tables, great food, loads of good staff
C. M.
Excellent city centre bar. It is actually a number of bars within the same business. Not a wine bar but a real bar with Northern Irish charm. Caters for everyone whether young or older, just in for drink or something to eat or out for the night. Particularly good for sport as it can show multiple sports and multiple football matches across the complex. Very close to city centre in the busy Bradbury Place area of town. Several other bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Excellent staff and a must for people coming to visit the city.
V. K.
Very welcoming. Lovely Guinness and excellent nachos
C. G.
Used to be great years ago but a pale shadow now, expensive, in the wrong area of town and was half empty when I was in.
T. G.
Love love love! Must go when in belfast!! Great staff, drinks and food was delicious (good portions as well). Don't forget to check out the rooftop area as well X
t.
*update April 22... the comedy night is amazing! Great local acts telling funny jokes. Thought comedy was dead. This is a great night out and genuinely hilarious. Can't wait to get back.
Massive pub, pool tables, sport, pretty good pub food and good monthly drink offers.
J. M. C.
Very werid way to order a drink. Local was ok and alot of billards tables
R. C.
Always a solid night in Laverys, but the music in the smoking area is too loud considering most people go outside to have a conversation
r. m.
Went in after 4 there were 4 people in it not surprising £5.40 a pint and £5.50 for a west coast cooler 😎
T. C.
Great atmosphere for drinking with a few friends. Line is often long if you go after 1900. You can only order from your phone at the moment but they deliver your drinks to you. Drinks are typically priced for Belfast.
F. C.
Best place in Belfast for a burger, pint and game of pool. Upstairs pool room is great with an organised queue system and plenty of TVs showing any matches that are on. Best thing is the staff, so many bars in Belfast have you waiting 10 - 20 minutes to get served but Lavery's has plenty of friendly, professional staff behind the bar so you're rarely waiting longer than a minute even at busy times. The food is great too, try the scooby snack - bacon and cheeseburger!
C. W.
One of the oldest and best bars in Belfast and very mixed crowd from students to old guys like me.
Pre covid always packed out at the weekend, and now less so due to restrictions, but always a great place to eat and drink.
É. A. K. G.
-Laverys is a great place to have a snooker game. It is only 1 pound. However at busy nights there is also a waiting list for playing.
-Also a great place to eat. Hamburgers are the best. But quite expensive.
-The place looks a really good bar. Perfect to bring there guests for introducing them the Belfast nights.
M. F.
Lively place for snooker. Snooker table need levelled but otherwise nice
E. M.
Great spot for comedy club and few drinks
A. E.
Lovely place, good food, good selection of beers, staff were brilliant
L. F.
Bar in need of refurbishing to former historic glory..
Back almost 4 years later. Bar in great condition. Fine establishment. £15 for 2 pints of Guinness and 2 sparkling mineral waters though? Behave.
L. M.
Great food. This bar has something for everyone! Highly recommended!
s. m.
I went in looking for a big meal and left very happy. They had a nice double stack burger option which combined with the fries did a good job filling me up.
S. S.
Service was a bit poor but drink was good.
P.
Lovely staff, nice local pub.
P. M.
Lovely spot and food is lovely and the pints is cheap and it's very well laid out for covid
F. S.
A great spot, mighty craic. There's usually decent music going, bar is well stocked and reasonably well staffed.
a. e.
Excellent food, good staff, very enjoyable experience 😀
G. A.
Generally a good bar all around, nice atmosphere and was showing the football on large, clear screens. Would go back. Staff could be a little more welcoming and polite but a minor criticism.
s. w.
Warm and welcoming door staff and floor staff, the food was delicious and they're doing amazing with social distance
M. H.
Good atmosphere for the football and reasonably priced drinks compared to other establishments
S. S.
Glasses that drink was served in were just ok ...and hardly anyone in it
N. A.
Great spot in Belfast for a pint and a game of pool 🎱
P.
The pub itself was lovely. The beer garden was enjoyable and plenty of shade if its hot as well. Took quite a while to get drinks though . I think one order was 10- 15 mins to arrive from when it was ordered. The only thing really put me off was that I was sitting beside a qrate in the ground to let water go through when raining. But the bar staff where using this to pour peoples unfinished drinks down. Really put me off as It was practically at my feet. Last thing you need when you are out for a few with friends. What is wrong with using a sink indoors?
G. P.
Good night out with boys from work
K. M.
Top door staff last night!! Three gentlemen - Jordan, Tim and Taf 🥰🥰
e. v.
Cool vibe, really nice vegan menu 😍
J.
There for the comedy show! Great nights craic
H. M.
Quick good service, what more do u need?
P. D.
Great lunch menu, helpful, friendly service.
M. C.
Nice pub more student based
E. O.
Great service by Eoghan! A real Irish feel.
M. R.
The food was amazing and delivered quickly
M. J. A.
Fun bar always packed with interesting characters. Amazing use of space, a classic bar in Belfast!
A. F.
We were served by Adam and we can’t praise him enough. Lovely fella and top class service, he couldn’t do enough for us and we were so thankful to have him as our server. Give this boy a raise.
G. Z.
A beautiful bar. It is hard to realize, because it is always packed with people. Sunday in the evening is great. Lighting is better, and less people. You can sit down, relax and have a nice conversation without shouting. Food is nice (considering it is still "pub" type of food). I like the place very much.
D. L.
Amazing place. Cheaper drink. Lots to do as well nice food
c. A.
Nice pub and great staff
D. S.
Great spot. Versitile. Well managed. Pleasant staff. Social distancing compliant. Can get different atmospheres from the one location i.e. several beer garden areas, different set ups inside. My go to place in Belfast. Recommend.
D. M.
It's a good place to play pool
R. M.
After the extensions this bar and nightclub is now massive. There's an extensive outside smoking area with outside bars for convenience. There are several pool tables upstairs so you never have to wait long for a table. The drinks are quite expensive unless buying the spirit/beer of the month.
S. K.
Creamy Guinness! 😋
K. B.
Great pub. Huge place with different kind of athmospheres. Good was really good too and decently priced.
C. W.
visited here on Saturday with a few friends. great vibes. music was good. 4 stars as did find some eaten chewing gum on the bottom of one of the tables in the middle floor, usually I have no problem with this but in this case the gum had lost its flavour upon a taste test. however overall great service and decor.
J.
Awesome a regular pub has vegan and gf food. Gf beer too.
P. C.
The BEST ever, the biggest payouts that I've ever seen
s. r.
Excellent place for a meal and drinks
K. A.
Surprisingly good food! Had a dinner for 6, everyone was very pleased. Great backyard too!
N.
Massive pub with plenty to do and loads of events. Lots of different rooms for different atmospheres. Huge outdoor area which is lovely in the summer. Could do with better heat lamps during winter however. Comedy club on a Wednesday is great for a mid week bevvy and something to do. I would definitely recommend. Upstairs is good during the week for a game of pool but when it turns to a night club at the weekend the area seems to turn into about 10 pathways for people walking so when its busy it is an absolute shoving match, not a pleasant. I think the issue is that there are too many entrances into the room for it to be a good dancefloor.
T. G.
Good place for a meet up
B. R.
Nice environment, nice drinks, food was not that great. I'd go for drinks and fun but eat somewhere else
O. G.
The platter for four, really is for four! Great pub, good food.
L.
Not enough pool tables.
Good food.
Their kitchen stays open late which is great.
S. K.
Greeted very well on way got service from table no stressing haven't to get drinks or food kind and great staff 😊 , food 💯 beautiful
Rate it 10/10 well worth going to
S. W.
Great for craft beer and football on a Saturday!
S. M.
Good food, good service, couldn't go wrong, reasonably priced. Would recommend
K. N. (.
good place for pool! the tables are a little worn, but functional nevertheless... and really good value for money. we were surprised to get a table with just 10 minutes wait early on a Saturday evening... not bad at all!
J. H.
Visited for the pool area a lot of tables in good shape for a bar. Soft drinks can be a little expensive but the games of pool are cheap enough I think £2 for 3 games. Didn't eat here but saw a fair amount of food being served and it looked well presented.
D. E.
Had a fantastic Valentine's meal in The Woodworkers. The T-Bone steak was cooked to perfection. The drinks were delicious and the staff were incredibly attentive, helpful, and friendly. Particularly a gentleman named Bobby. Everything was so reasonably priced and outstanding quality. Could not recommend highly enough.
S. B.
Great atmosphere great food
G. D.
Good place of you're out for a drink and want to play some pool as well
C. F.
Bar that caters to all size of groups. Is truly enormous with clubs, bars, craft beer, pool hall and outdoor areas. Great despite its size.
Fantastic spot for beers and catching up with friends. But be prepared for long waits on food and undercooked meals at peak times. Service upstairs can be atrocious, and the logic to the management of the upper bars is bizarre.
Z. M.
Good bar, there are so many different sections to it that you're bound to find a space you'll enjoy, with the outside back bar area a personal favourite. The food is delicious as well, and a good place for watching sports.
G.
We had a pretty good time here. The beer selection wasn't amazing and the upstairs was a bit confusing but it had ample space and everyone seemed to be having a good time. We came in around Halloween and the decorations were AWESOME. All in all we had a good time.
r. m.
Mental night! Loving life in Belfast.
A. S.
Love this place, so many different bars merged under the same roof, you need to be specific where you want to meet up inside or you could never find your friends. This is one of the best bars in the town, and has been for many years no matter what theme is trendy.
R. O. C.
Really good sports bar, staff are very friendly and accommodating. Had no problems. Food was very good here and the place is massive. Would agree that it is a bit of a maze, but it's nice to have many sections to go to, very big outside smoking area out the back and upstairs as well, good selection of drink and food
C. A.
My favorite bar near Botanic Quarter. Pool tables are in good shape and you never have to wait to get a drink. Great place to watch football on weekends and Woodworkers is conveniently next door so you can get good food as well.
D. M.
A well lit, reasonably priced, diverse, and large bar -- this is quite an interesting hang. The crowd skews a bit younger, though they're not memey or disruptive, and if you would like to enjoy the place without the rapid-fire energy of youth, there are a few quaint spots in its back sections which give you that space. If you would like to enjoy that rapid-fire energy, however, there are two dancefloors (one alternative and one main -- the largest and most pop-oriented), and there are spots in between these among other sections which allow you that freedom to be in full expression without 'mannered' consideration (in the capacity that you can speak or dance without causing harm or serious disruption to other people). I would highly recommend this venue for the -- especially -- younger crowd, though as I have noted, the more mature crowds can make their way in between youthful ruckus and drama to enjoy their time in a beautiful hang as well.
J. M.
Good bar, based on three several levels including a downstairs bar, second floor nightclub/ events space and a top floor pool room with so many tables, you'd get lost going back to yours from either one of the two large, sheltered smoking areas. Staff are great too.
P. B.
Waitstaff are brilliant, the ordering system could stand improvement but youse are only working with what you've got!
J. H.
Lav"s is always good - great craic excellent food and good staff including door staff which means you can enjoy ur ngt 👍
Also has a fantastic pool room but requires booking at weekends.
C. N.
Great place for pool n pints
K. s.
Great selections of ciders, beers and craft beers, also spirits with good promotions. 4 bars to choose from so you can go in for a quiet drink or a night out dancing if you want. Also has a great outside beer garden/smoking area.
R. B.
This place wasn't half bad the music wasn't great, the DJ's we're not very good. The beer was cheap though, cheaper than a lot of other pubs I've been to In the area. Plus the place is HUGE, there's like 4 floors, pool tables, a dance floor, a punkier bar section and some rooftop terraces. The place can get super crowded on the weekends, make sure you get there early, before 11:30 so you can get a drink easier and get to know your way around.
L. S.
Good fun and really nice bar staff - pool hall is great and it's a really good place to go with mates for a laugh. Casual dress code - I wore heels and I think I was a bit over-dressed! Would definitely recommend.
B. H.
Entertaining, huge, like the tardis you think you've been then you find a new part. Pretty sure it goes on forever. Also pints
J. D.
I've been coming to this bar for over a decade now and it never has disappointed me! Several different bar areas, each floor has their own atmosphere and music. Brilliant prices for city centre, very unique alcohol selection (compared to everyone else) , great friendly staff , this bar has it all! If you ever get food, keep in mind that it's a MASSIVE business,so it might take a while, but it's worth of it in the end.
M. F. (. R.
The best pub restaurants for celebrate everything. I celebrated my Wedding. Was amazing.
P. J. O.
Extremely lively , but too noisy for me.
Staff however were professional and pleasant. I missed having a decent choice of 'alternative' beers. A 'Beer of the Month' to influence palates surely isn't beyond the realms of possibilities!
S. (.
Bit expensive but good spot
R. K.
Professional staff with good cervise in mind! Good food an nice atmosphere
K. M.
A really versatile pub, great atmosphere. A large variety of patrons and a large selection of alcohol.
Food is grand.
The drink prices are high but I guess that's what you expect for such a good quality place.
The bouncers are very strict. Once they didn't let a sober friend of mine in (during the day) because he was "too drunk." The fella's never had a drop of alcohol in his life! Also, they are very cheeky and rude to people, not capable of banter with subtle hints of male chauvinism.
B. R.
Nice atmosphere, nice layout. Specialise in craft beers, they will let you try a sample of each if you ask! I did not do this on my most recent visit, and regretted it. Good place though, and good selection of beer
N. C.
I went here based off the other 5 star reviews and I was not disappointed. The food was well priced and good quality, I had a burger with sweet potato chips. The beer was good and the area for playing pool was massive and well organised.
S. A.
Can't remember much of it actually.... so must have been good.
P. R.
Superb in house brewed beer
J. B.
Phenomenal atmosphere at the bar, the comedy club is a new level of good craic (thanks mostly to Colin and Mickey... Much love)
And the pool room upstairs you could spend hours in. Cannot recommend enough!
A. S.
Average pub food, nice garden/smoking area. Different areas and music within the 3 floors. they have a nightclub at the weekend in the space where there's pool tables during the week. Also very popular to watch soccer games.
h. k.
Much pool very good
B.
Great atmosphere Great food and drinks! Top notch 👌🏻
J. B.
Brilliant night as usual for comedy night
J. E.
I was blown away by the size of the smoking area, compared to Scottish bars/clubs it was huge! Pints were quite expensive but so is every other bar in the area. Decent music although nothing special. Go for the bar, not the club.
L. M.
Lovely wee pub with loads of atmosphere and a fantastic mix of people from every walk of life. Staff very helpful and friendly. Prices very reasonable too. Give it a go you won't be disappointed
M. M.
I have been in a few times recently and each time the service has been equally impressive.
The staff are polite and friendly and the Guinness is generally spot on. I've also discovered that it's an outstanding spot for food (in particular, any burger on the menu).
I would recommend Laverys to absolutely anyone.
C. M.
Great spot where people from all different backgrounds can come together age or type of group. Sometimes staff can be a little annoying and forgetful that the customers pay their wages. Other than that they have good deals and the bouncers are some of the most dead-on in Belfast.
N. R.
Fantastic bar. Great service despite the very busy atmosphere. Can go for a chill pint or a Saturday night out. Always class drinks deals. Love Laverys and all they stand for 😊
c. :.
Saturday night .
-1hr queue, so overpacked and unmaintained. Plenty of underage bunking queue, no bouncer in sight.
-20 mins for drinks, more DJs on the dancefloor than bartenders.
-Racist guyi the line (not representative of staff or other customers.
-overpacked inside as well. Took 10 minutes of squishing through other people on the dancefloor to get to the smoking area to be told it's full.
-dancefloor so packed I would've gone home for steel toe boots if I couldn't get through the crowd. Took 10 mins to even leave.
Staff really sound, pool tables are sound
J. M.
A nice pub. Good for watching sport, listening to music, playing pool. Also good for dancing in the nightclub. Good location. It is a popular place so arriving early is usually required for guaranteed entry.
Z. N.
A Belfast institution that should be on the itenery of any traveller.
Great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic refreshments all keenly priced and served by professional and courteous staff.
Excellent quality food and great value for money.
The pool hall is well worth a visit with a roof terrace for the summer evenings.
Superb door staff 👍
Free WiFi and eclectic mix of patrons.
Love and respect.

J. P.
Great food and beer along with plenty of other drinks. Loads of pool tables during the week and large nightclub on Saturday night takes over. Great comedy club venue and woodworkers the newest bar area served a great selection of craft beer
W. G.
Four stars for slow table service, if the cuz was less of a melter and let us order off tinterwebs the whole process would have been five star. That's thon glipe tho.
T. M.
Wonderful food. Great area out back and garden bar for a nice day. Great service too. Definitely recommend. Woodworks next door is cute too but have mostly American IPAs on tap. I can get those at home.
G. B.
Extremely impressed,a maze of a place bars, bars, bars in the first phase then you go out the back across a lane to another covered outside bar upstairs, then go across a glass walkway to a massive tall ceiling room with about at least a dozen pool tables with a bar, then on your way to the toilets off this area there is an outside smoking chatt area. This place has to be seen to be believed, have not eaten in it yet but will be very soon.
D. W.
Nice atmosphere. Decent place for a work event.
R. F.
This place has a bit of everything. Pool hall to kill time during the day. Whopper outside area. Good food. The DJs smash it at night. Staff were sound. We spent a night here and then nearly the whole day after; would absolutely recommend it to anyone.
G. H.
Great spot in Belfast, 6 nights a week the top floor is a pool hall with dozens of pool tables and great eclectic music. On. Saturday it turns into a club (first floor and second floor) £5 entry.
Relatively new to the complex is the woodworkers that specialises in an ephemeral craft beer selection displayed on TV screens above the bar - ask the staff to taste a mouthful before investing in the full pint!
Finally the off licence is a great spot to have the ear talked off you about the whiskey selection from knowledgeable staff, great for tourists and locals alike.
Sprawling smoking area that transcends two floors. Beer of the month, craft beer of the month and spirit of the month offers are the cherry on the cake.
C. A.
Great pub with large screens, loads of pool tables and a good atmosphere. The beer and food are of high quality and prices are reasonable. A nice place to go to watch a sports event, or just for a few drinks and some food.
M. B. (.
Definitely the biggest pub I've ever been to. It has 5+ bars. Several floors. Different styles. Room full of pool tables. Disco. Garden & patio. And attached liquor store. There is a lot of going on every evening.
R. D.
Food is quite nice and affordable. Different parts of the building cater for lot of different music tastes and the top floor nightclub is great craic, as well as doubling as pool hall during the week. The drinks are on the expensive side compared to other bars in Belfast and even though there are monthly deals, it's always just surplus stuff that maybe wouldn't be as popular.
P. M.
Well run, friendly, not pretentious, relaxed dress code. As a regular for over 10 years I cannot fault the place. Like any bar on occasion you'll get the odd wingnut customer but the well organised senior bar staff/door staff don't take too long in sorting out any situations that might occur. You'll struggle to find better example of a well run bar in the entire city. The food is also pretty good.
M. K.
Great night clubs! It's like the Tardis...much bigger on the inside. The upstairs, had its own upstairs with another whole dance floor and bars! And coat check too!
H. J.
If you want to pool on a friday and go crazy on Saturday? Lavery's is the place to be. Enormous place. You have quiet area's, a rooftop bar, a backstreet full of seating and a big room with either pool tables or a dance area. Medium expensive but a lot to offer. But be wary you are not to late to join the party.
A. P.
Great place for a beer and beer garden.
S. O.
Been to this place over the years. It's evolved into prob the largest and one of best Belfast has to offer. Pool rooms, outdoor bar, 3/4 indoor bar. Definitely check it out!
J. P.
Came here on St. Patrick's day for the rugby. Atmosphere in this place was amazing! Great spot if you are looking for some drinks, and some pool. It is a very popular spot in Belfast.
R. H.
Great place, great atmosphere, caters to everyone.
B. M.
Great spot for sports and food.. Fair few screens.. Rugby, soccer, racing.. Big pub joining it.. Different style.. Big smoking place and out the back upstairs massive pool tables.. About 17 of them.. It's a mini super pub.. Food decent
J. S.
As a Wheelchair user the access is great with level access, lift and toilets available. Staff are helpful and more than happy to help! Before going I emailed ahead and reserved a table, there was great space.
A. M.
Visited on a Northern Ireland match day. Fans welcomed and plenty of space over the various floors. Staff pleasant and prompt but beer beyond watered down and one of the more expensive bars. Food menu looked good but I didn't have any.
A. S.
Great place to grab a pint and catch a football match or play some pool. The food was great, I recommend a steak, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful when it came to our drink orders and pool table reservations. Cheers guys!
G. M.
Great bar, great atmosphere. Pool hall on the top floor is always buzzing and they have a great beer garden to the side which has its own bar too. Drinks promotions daily.
C. K.
At disco on a Saturday night is hectic.
Smoking area rammed full of wired goons
All in all, a special night. Would appreciate a bitta heavier techno but I appreciate the DJ got the job there since Thompson's is fully booked out 7 nights a week now due to 17 year olds inducing in illicit drug use.
L. D.
Great place. Some kind of bar space for everyone. If you don't like it loud and enjoy a blether, great place for example but you can have the buzz of the crowd if you want.
M. Q.
Much improved since renovation. Shame you have to pay to get back into the upstairs regardless of how long you've been there during the day. Nice staff and clean with loss of room and a mixed age crowd.
P. C. M.
Certainly one of the best pubs in Belfast and in Ireland. You'll find the best options of pint in the city, good food and service.
It's not the cheapest place, but it is certainly worth every pence (it's not expensive either). Unfortunately, it closes at 1 am and the kitchen works only until 9 pm.
m. h.
The waitress Lara is the greatest of all time (goat). The Guineas is fine as well

Comedy club is unreal, every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month!
Get down and enjoy some of the best comedians in NI/Ireland.
Whatever you want to call it, you won't be disappointed.
R. M.
Great place for a night out during week or weekend. Large, over 3 floors, plenty of pool tables and screens for the sport. Foods OK as well. Could do with replacing a lot of busted pool cues though.
R. A.
Lovely Place. Excellent Staff. A bit overpriced. But overall brilliant.
C. T.
Always a good place to hang out. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.
Pool tables upstairs and good food available, what else can you ask for 😁
r. g.
called in for a couple of drinks daytime last week, only a few others in there. Friday not happy hour day cheaper prices we found out.ok for a couple did not try a meal, maybe bit more atmosphere at night.
J. S.
Great staff, great bar. Comedy on every beginning and ending Wednesday of the month. Pool Hall upstairs, the best feel of bar is the bottom floor with plenty of room throughout.
m. m.
Very reasonable prices and very friendly staff members would highly recommend this place to attend. On a night out in Belfast.
A. K.
Tasty food, multiple screens to watch your fave premier league team, lots of pool tables, good atmosphere, plenty of rooms and smoking areas and no dress code. Best bar in Belfast
S. B.
Always love the back room. Brought my rockstar friend. No one recognised him. 😂😂 So much for it being a rock bar. Anyway they do good food, good drink and the music is always great.
C. C.
Friendly atmosphere and excellent food and drink. Sports bar was a good day. They even turned one of the TV too the English Premier league Rugby final at Twickenham.
C. B.
Good food, fun place. It gets busy during football games. I was with a big group, so it was difficult to find seating for everyone to see the televisions.
D. O.
One of the best places to go to in Belfast for a night out. First went here for my 18th 6 years ago and have been back many times since. Definitely a place I’d recommend.
E. S.
Good place for a fancy night out on the ground floor. It's really good for bigger parties on the top floor with both pool tables and a roof top where you can sit and have a talk or a smoke
J. E. C. (.
I love this pub. Great selection of drinks and pool is amazing! Me and my partner are not local but cant wait to come back here!
D. E.
Great and big pub with an awesome atmosphere! Great beer, great food + they show all World Cup games. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in Belfast!!
E. D.
My personal favourite bar in Belfast. It has a range of bars from chilled out craft beer, to traditional Irish pub to club at the weekends. The staff are excellent, the foods delicious and the atmosphere is great.
M. K.
This has improved greatly over the years, and the beer gardens out the back are excellent. It was the best bar in town 25 years go, then had a bit of a low - but now its back in great form!
M. O.
Large bar over a few floors. Place to eat, drink and be very merry. Never had a bad experience. Worth bearing in mind it gets VERY busy when a local event is occurring i.e. football at Windsor Park
C. S.
Great for table service came in great time
Funny staff, what else could you want
P. M.
Very nice place which caters to all kinds of customers. Main bar down stairs which leads into the rock bar and up stairs is the pool hall which changes to a dance hall on the weekends after 10pm with a live DJ.
g. s.
Nice bar and great atmosphere. Was here midweek. They had all the football matches on, pool tables out and good drinks promos. Great spot
D. S.
Always good craic in the pool room
M. Q.
Great place, and atmosphere
C. M.
Love Laverys, big bar. Friendly staff. Lots of screens for footy. Food is great and reasonably priced. My favourite spot in Belfast.
D. M.
Generally great. Good selection of beers and ales with woodworkers next door offering plenty of choice. Good pub grub...it's all about the chicken share platter! Sport sport sport.
L. B.
Marvelous!
That's what I have to say about the very first pub I've been to in Ireland.
The atmosphere really has this «Irish pub» that I love and the waiters are really kind and caring about their clients.
Always a pleasure to have a pint and a black coffe at the Lavery's
Congrats! :-)
-A tourist from France
J. P.
All walks of life, indeed many life forms to be found in Laverys-some growing out of the furniture. Place is almost a living organism in itself. A bit like being at a festival-crowded, lively and sweaty. Been coming here since I was 14 and now in my 40's. Great choice of cask, bottle and craft beers in the bar and 2nd best off licence in Belfast (after the vineyard).
J. C.
Laverys is a great spot, just out of Belfast City Centre. Several bars over a few floors offer something for everyone. There's good food, live sport and good club nights too.
S. K.
A nice place to meet friends locally. Staff weren't as friendly, unfortunately.
b. r.
Food was ok, a little overdone. Pool is great as always, highly recommended.
J. R.
Good fun, although expensive on a Saturday. Very busy on the Saturday after payday however. Great to go through the mid week and play a game of pool upstairs
D. A.
One of the best welcoming, diverse bars in the city centre great for locals as well as tourists to visit and always buzzing for sport especially Northern Ireland games, top beer, whiskey and spirit selection! 🤩
E. M.
Loads of pool tables, it a great place to wind up for a night out... in the evening it is jumping as it turn into a night club.
It has a great smoking area warm and sheltered. A great night
B. M.
Good food and fab service. Good spot to watch sports
D. S.
Huge place with multiple bars, pool rooms, outdoor smoking/TV areas. Great place to meet people. Planned on spending the afternoon, stayed all night on my only day in Belfast.
J. F.
Always a great time at Laverys, Love the pool hall, great staff, great atmosphere, amazing food. Best sweet potato fries ever. Another amazing night with the crew
N. “. S.
Really nice place with a good atmosphere, great staff and a spectacular range of drink. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good night out.
A. H.
Had our staff night out for Christmas, was epic, staff were amazing, table service, good food, great atmosphere, the manager of the floor Michael was just brilliant couldn't have done more for us, attended us regularly saw to our every need and even took time to take a photo shoot for us! Perfect night out highly recommend!!!
K. M. M.
So many levels, it's got something for everyone. I had such a great time.
s. m.
Food was very tasty and with over 20 beers on tap, there's something for everyone. Only gripe I would have is that the burger came without relish.
F.
The vegan platter is so overpriced for what you actually get. And it says it can be split by 4 people - this definitely isn’t the case, it barely did 3 people. We were all still hungry afterwards.
J. M.
Always enjoy Laverys. My friends and I tend to meet up there a couple of times in the year to watch the football, have a bite to eat and a couple of beers. Our last visit I think I'm safe in saying will be our last visit, the place has made vast improvements with the upstairs pool area and with the addition of "Woodworkers" but the general public bar is in dire need of a rethink. The televisions are in poor spots to watch anything and the food was maybe the worst both me and my friends had eaten there, my friend had the scooby burger and said it was near raw and cold. Another friend had the fish and he could only eat half of it as the batter retained alot of oil inside. I had the steak sandwich which was nice but lacked presentation as it was just the whole steak on a ciabatta with onion rings on top. I've always liked Laverys but it's been the same for years needs a bit of a refreshment.
S. S.
My brothers and sisters go here to celebrate our birthdays and are always treated extremely well there is a barmaid called Linda and you couldn't wish for better treatment food is very good value for money so try it you won't regret it x
J. T.
Great pub . Food very reasonable priced. Music, pool tables and friendly staff. Three floors so something for everyone . Lunch time deals are very good. Enjoy.
R. B.
Honestly a very unprofessional nursing home, there was loud music and alcohol being served. Still left my grandmother in here as it's the cheapest by far although I question the qualifications of the carers as they just seemed to pour drinks.
J. G.
Food here is pretty great!
The music in the upstairs section (The more social area) is also not so loud that you can't hear your friends talk.
G. M.
Food and drink was excellent
H. B.
Always love a trip to laverys, pool tables kept in great condition and always a good atmosphere. Definitely my fave bar in Belfast!!
P. L.

Good daytime pool spot in Belfast. great for wings some pints and some pool. Downside is the wait for a table when it is busy and the outrageous price for a pint

C.
Great pub with excellent pool facilities upstairs, just make sure you book a table.

When it comes to Drought Beers they don't have much to offer, just Carlsberg and Guinness. Always crowded as people come there to drink and watch games, which is ideally the story of every Pub in the UK.
