Such a cute little bar, love all the floral decor and mood lighting. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were so lovely 💓 can't recommend the cocktails enough too!

Great variety of drinks and flavourful tapas. We ordered three tapas: calamari, patatas bravas and Korean fried chicken. I really enjoyed the three tapas- especially the patatas bravas paired with the sangria. If you're not a big fan of seafood tapas, there might not be a big variety of food to you as the menu consists of mainly seafood- apart from the cheese, bread, veg or chicken wings. The drinks we had paired nicely with what we ordered: sangria, gold fashioned, long island iced tea, Irish coffee. The service was okay, but some times the wait time was a bit long to get hold of service. Overall we had 3 tapas and 4 drinks which came to a little over fifty pounds. *NB* there is a booking deposit needed for reservations- it was returned after a few days.

You step down into this subterranean little gem. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good was very good. I had gnocchi which can be bland but on this occasion was delicious. The seating and lighting are spot on and you could a lot worse than giving this hostelry a bit of your time and money. Would highly recommend.

The best margarita I have had in a bar for a long time! Johnny and the other bartenders were all fabulous and so welcoming. We were tourists to the city and they even compiled a list of other groovy places we could visit!

This is a good and upscaled place now. The drinks are reasonably priced here as well. If you're looking for a less noisy place in terms of music then this would be the place for few quiet ones. They also do food but didn't really try it so leave it to your best judgements. Very handy place as it's right beside the Belfast city hall.

We hadn't booked a table but the staff were really great and found us a table - which seems to be super difficult to do in Belfast atm without a reservation! The Hawaiian pizza was also one of the best I've had, simple but super tasty!

Super Cocktails, Lovely Staff and a 10/10, must go when in Belfast

Attentive staff. We were offered another round every time our drinks were low. Another round was never pushed on us. We never had anyone coming asking if we wanted another drink before we were ready. The cocktails were excellent and some of the best I’ve tried. A lot of prep and thought gone into their ingredients and recipes obviously. The atmosphere was great too. So good that I’d return to Belfast for this place alone.

Very close to City Hall and shopping areas. Also close to venues like the Ulster Hall and theatres. A downstairs bar and restaurant (used to be called The Basement) which has a very well finished interior. Relaxed ambience with a variance of customers including a lot of couples. Be ideal to bring a first date for a meal. Food looked really good as well.

Nice bar but not the coziest. Would be good if the fire was lit with coal instead of candles. Not a great selection of rums on offer and cocktails were overpriced. Nice atmosphere though and staff were on the ball.

Nice bar in the heart of Belfast right on Belfast City Hall’s doorstep. A fairly new addition to the scene but seems to be very lively and popular. I’m not a big fan of TV screens in pubs though as nothing beats a good conversation.

A place when it was called the basement we spent many a happy Saturday watching the rugby International s. Gone are the TV screens, the regulars all gone. Its very glam velvet booth type seating. Very loud music which appealed to a birthday party of 30 somethings on a Sunday afternoon. Food usual chicken scampi fare. After 1glass of rioja (2 drinking) told non left, then offered dessert menu, no cream for desserts or Irish coffee, no ice cream for pudding or for affogato. We pointed this out to server... We have had a busy weekend... OK part of a group expect better. Its a great place for drinks and outside drinks worth a visit for this.

This place is fabulous, a real gem of the city, the staff are amazing, I have a food Allergy and they could not have been nicer, the food was served piping hot and full of flavour, if you are looking for a light bite and a cold drink to escape you need to give this place a try!

I liked it, the tapas was really good nice calamari, patatas bravas and Korean chicken wings. Really good price and portions, cocktails were expensive, especially given the wait. Service could be better, but if you're looking for a chill atmosphere, good food and cocktails in the city: this is it.

Lovely cocktails and food, staff were great too! I knocked a star off because it does seem to attract a lot of poser types and insta huns having photoshoots which kind of detract from the atmosphere but not really the restaurant fault, overall definitely worth a visit!

I love this place. The cocktails are unreal and pretty reasonably priced. Lovely, cosy place to sit and really handy. Yet to try the pizzas but hear they're great. Staff are very friendly and efficient.

We had a fun night at Margot ! The small plates were good, however the main dishes were tasteless, the meat was too cooked.

Attended opening night, they’ve refurbished this place very well and it’s now a nice cocktail bar showing sports and also serving food. It was quite busy, and therefore finding space at the bar to get served amongst the seats can be quite tricky, they may have to find another way around this and maybe reduce the number of seats in the bar area. This reminds me of a Be At One / All Bar One style set-up that you have over in England, the staff all seem to be very good, hopefully the enthusiasm continues past the opening day!

Super cool cocktail bar with a slightly Spanish menu. Nice atmosphere and really lovely staff.

This place use to be called Basement and we used to watch footie here. They completely overhauled the venue for the better. Haven't checked yet wether they show some sports on the days but the music was top notch and the bar and door staff was professional with quick service. Will go there again as it's centered to Belfast and we had great time partying.

We popped into Margot just after we got married.... at midday. Twas only 4 of us( a very small wedding) .Margot.... was very, very busy but Rebecca found us a table within 5 minutes. The food was fab and then Rebecca moved us to an intimate booth for more drinks and dessert. The service and food were fab. Loved Margot!
