I was there when i stayed in Cavehill in Belfast.I had a few pints in the Mountain View on a particular day in 2011 i think watching Man United on TV.It was quite a rough pub,a bit of trouble happened but not much.There looked like to be some guards in their uniform drinking there and there was a band playing later as i saw electric guitars and other instruments in there.Would visit again.It was fascinating walking up the Shankill road for the first time.

Went to the mountain view on Friday 3rd September. The atmosphere in there was amazing. There was a singer on and aa visitors we were made very welcome

Had a great time here with the shankill Somme society today, great friendly staff, customers are welcoming and a good time was had by all. Most important take a look at the memorial garden at the rear, a humbling experience indeed.
