I booked on line the night before and so all was in order. However on arrival, I had only booked for two people. Note that it was 7pm on a Saturday night and the place was very busy. The mistake was mine but without any fuss whatsoever we were assured that we could and would be accommodated. After a few minutes we were lead to our table and looked after by wonderful staff.
The food was divine, the 10 was exceptional and we could not have asked for more.
Superb experience and I "thank you" for being so helpful.
What a great place and see you again so.

The food is excellent; I had a very tasty steak with a pint of Guinness and finished with a delicious Irish coffee. They also have an outdoor beer garden. J. K.It's the first time I have been here, having driven past it many times over the last 40 years. I used to visit the now defunct Homestead pub around the corner but never quite got to try Robert Stewart's, until now.
Having read some poor reviews on TripAdvisor, we didn't know what to expect. I can only guess that those people were at a different pub from the one I was at. This is COVID Christmas no.2 and I don't get out much but I would have to try very hard to find fault with either the food, or the service.
All COVID passports were checked on entrance. Sanitizer was available inside and a contact sheet available for those who cared to leave their details.
The restaurant was busy for a Monday night, but each of the servers that looked after us, were very pleasant, helpful and efficient. All of our food was excellent and I look forward to many more visits here. I had duck starter, turkey and ham main and jam and coconut sponge. All of it was excellent. Okay, I would have liked another spoonful of custard, but that's me trying to be picky.
A great night was had and I look forward to returning.

There is a spacious car park and lovely views over the Belfast Hills. I've booked a table for indoors when Covid restrictions are lifted.
As the pub is now under new management, we look forward to enjoying a more pleasant and less "intrusive" style of customer service than previous experienced.

It has always been one of my favourites but now during our ongoing pandemic the measures they have taken have been mind blowing, the outside drinks tent is great for safe social outings for a couple, friends and families, now child friendly, we have enjoyed many nights recently having drinks crisps and coffee in the outdoor area feeling relaxed and very comfortable, the staff are very friendly and accommodating.

The history of the building is fascinating and worth investigating when there.
My one little gripe is children not being allowed in. That said I do understand that many parents fail to control their children and upset other guests. My children are rather well behaved and have excellent manners which makes me a little upset that all children and their "parents" are considered the same. Perhaps this blanket rule can be reviewed and a more user friendly approach found.

J. F.First of all can I just state that the staff are all lovely and helpful,and the meal was excellent too. But as far as the owner goes that's another story. He decided that we should all listen to his stories and expect us to find it entertaining, it was quite the opposite, even at one time he lifted his trouser leg and then grabbed my son's hand to feel it, couldn't make it up. So, could someone have a word and keep him away from diners!!!

We arrived at about 3pm on Saturday afternoon and we were quickly seated. We checked the menu and the specials. The pie of the day appealed to both of us, Beef and Guinness. I can only describe it as a piece of heaven. The food was exquisite the service was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We indulged in dessert one between us and again heaven on a plate. I will definitely be going back and recommending it to everyone I know. Superb food, service, decor and atmosphere. Loved it! !

P. C.We decided to eat out at Bob's after having a lovely experience in the marque beer garden as my girlfriend is a regular here over many years. We invited friends along and all started well, we went on the Thursday as we knew it would be quite after the eat out to help out was past, as one of our friends had been shielding and we wanted it to be quite. We checked numerous times if the table was booked for later even thou the place was very quite. And got told no one was waiting or expected. Our friends decided to have a wee celebration amongst ourselves and between courses we had a few drinks. Service was great on till we where told we where lucky to have kept the table for longer than an hour and 3 quarters. We where a bit disappointed because there was no one waiting for the table and we thought Bob would have appreciated are support.

W. V.Hi, I am an 11 year old child and since Bob Stewarts are now letting children in I came here for Sunday Lunch with my family. I got a burger and chips, my sister got chicken nuggets and chips, my mum got turkey and ham and my dad got a steak. My parents let me have some of their food and I thought it was yummy! The burger was yummy as well. For desert I had ice cream and my mum had cheesecake, she let me have some cheesecake as well and they were delicious. Would definitely recommend

t.*Update, September 21. Sunday lunch here, and one of the best in a long long time. Seafood chowder I dare anyone to name a better one in Belfast. Absolutely stuffed with good quality, perfectly cooked fish. And having previously been sceptical about Hake, the Hake main was unreal. A place that looks like it serves homely pub food, is actually on a different level. Love it, and can't wait to go back, though unless someone advises me of a better one, I'll be ordering the chowder again!
Lovely location and venue. Homely wee pub and restaurant. Chicken wings, squid and brie all tasty starters. Great burger, chicken dish lovely but the highlight was the beef cheek pie, recommended by the chef. A superb dish, really tender and tasty beef with the perfect potato dauphinois side. Now child friendly as well, so full of families with a good atmosphere. A really good spot where I will return to eat and drink.
H.First time going there, the food was fantastic and the staff were friendly and good Craic. The other patrons and the general atmosphere was top drawer. Great decor, great setting and its fantastic that there's no children allowed! Would definitely come here again! Thank you for the Christmas Dinner guys.
