Front area is very nice Nice and cosy. It preserved it spirit and Irish vibe. However the rest of the establishment became a "soulless" money-maker student bar. With not so cheap drink and a big drop in service quality.

Decent bar with a large beer garden. Tends to aim for the student age demographic. Quality of pints are pretty mediocre but at an adequate price.

5 stars as a bar to have beers and watch sports. 2 more stars than average because they have TVs literally everywhere, with good definition and different sizes. The drinks and beers offer is wide, and the play area (many options) is huge. Also you have the option to drink outside. They don’t serve food inside, and when I went, basic food service was served in the outside area.

Regularly visit The Bot to watch live sports with my young boys aged 12, 9 and 7. Great environment for young kids, my boys love going. After my last visit on 24/11/18 I had to write review. Staff always friendly but on 24/11 they went out of their way to put a game on one of the TVs in the pool room so we could play and watch at same time. Pool room was busy but the crowd was very friendly especially to my kids...The pool room is a great addition to already a super bar. Highly recommended.

Was here to watch IRE - NZ match. Nice atmosphere and decent prices. But the match was so loud! Could hardly hear anything to speak. I otherwise good experience, door staff very friendly and dead on too

It's a fine establishment. Was a bit disappointed that a crowd hadn't turned up after the concert. 1 thing to watch out for, if you're a Guinness drinker like me, make sure there's a few others drinking it at the bar. I got a terrible pint, & I only drunk half of it. Some seats with the lower back support is not very comfortable.

Great drinks, almost no people there in the afternoon so a quiet time can be guaranteed! On Wednesdays there is a nightclub so it's a little busier then - great cocktail offers too! It is a hotspot for students due to its proximity to the university and Elms.id recommend a visit anytime!

Karen was absolutely lovely! Friendly , welcoming, chatty and took an interest in our holiday and recommended some places to visit. Food was absolutely delicious and the gentleman kindly took through a bowl of chips for our daughter to have incase she didnt like her mash. Beautiful , comfortable pub area with a real open fire , we cannot recommend this pub more! Thanks again for your hospitality karen . Love Kimberley xx

Really great location for food and drink, historical location that carers to all crowds. It's in close proximity to the city centre and really is a must visit for any tourists and a regular spot for a lot of locals. The Bot has a wide range of drinks available, Great kitchen menu and usually has sports on projection screens. Also has a pool/arcade room.
