Went on a Friday evening for dinner - two courses of mains and dessert
There were no reservations bookable online but thankfully were able to get a table for two.
The bar was busy enough but well staffed and they do have a good choice of drinks on the menu. We waited at the bar for the table to be prepped which wasn’t long at all.
Table was comfortable, at a good height in relation to the seating level which were comfortable.
The music was great, however, at one point the volume was significantly increased, which did mean shouting for conversation.
Food review
I had the fish and chips which were nicely presented. I think the chips were slightly undercooked and didn’t get a beef dripping taste from them and were unsalted.
The fish was really, really nice. Perfectly cooked and batter was lovely.
The sides were also nice. Mushy peas had a nice tang to them. The tartare sauce(?) I think was very buttery in taste which I wasn’t a fan of and not very tangy if it was tartare sauce. The curry sauce was lovely though.
Burger was nice but slightly plain. Skinny fries were nice too.
The homemade ketchup relish was really nice, had a beautiful sweetness which went nicely with the fish.
For dessert, I got the ‘tiramisu’ profiteroles, which are in quotations are these did not taste of tiramisu at all. No coffee taste or mascarpone. there was some sort of buttercream between the profiteroles to aid the stacking but the flavour was lacking. Very disappointing as I was quite excited for these:
Sticky toffee pudding: sponge was tasty as was the sauce. Think the presentation needs improved however. The vanilla ice cream clearly does not have real vanilla in it as there is no black seeds throughout.
Unfortunately, uncontrolled by the restaurant, the couple, especially the man, beside us stared at us for long periods and listened to our conversation throughout the entire time and was extremely uncomfortable for both myself and friend.
Staff were attentive enough.
Total price was almost £60 odd, which I don’t think was reflected in the quality of the food so I’m not sure I would recommend or return personally.

We only popped in to try their Cloth Ear IPA, but the atmosphere was lovely and people around us seemed to be enjoying their food. We sat at the bar in comfy cushioned stools that felt more like armchairs! Good drinks selection, staff very friendly and attentive. Would return to try the food.

I've been delivering food to the cloth ear for a few years now and never actually been in for a pint or something to eat. I've always thought it a was a nice looking place and never had any reason not to go other than I don't head into Belfast city very often. Today, I called in to change that and I was not disappointed. It lived up to all of my expectations. The staff were all very friendly and seemed like they new exactly what they were doing and what was going on around them. Attentive as they should be and clearly have some experience behind them. I had a pint of Orchard thieves which was lovely and my girlfriend's Carlsberg seemed to be going down well too. We had a Ragu pasta and some battered chicken strips both of which were devoured. I tried both dishes and couldn't really fault them. In fact the batter on that chicken will probably draw me back to the city centre alone. Standard city centre prices but being part of the merchant, this place feels just that little bit more 'fancy' or something along those lines. Next time I'm in Belfast for drinks or a meal I'll definitely keep the cloth ear in mind. So should you.

Lovely traditional Irish pub with relaxed atmosphere, right in middle of Belfast. Great food and staff.
J. S.
Excellent pub in the heart of the city. We were lucky to get in the snug which is hidden away behind the bar. Very private atmospheric with a wiff of old-fashioned luxury and the O'Hara stout was a delight.
M. M.
Nice bar, well laid out, not jam packed, good food, nice cosy fire - good selection of drinks - what's not to like? 👍🏻
V.
Fantastic spot. The drinks are lovely and the staff are really nice. The music is very low and there is a relaxed atmosphere. The crowd is a little older meaning no one is shouting or spilling pints. If you can find a table its a treat to come here. It is a completely different vibe than the surrounding pubs.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch today with my husband and mum at the Cloth Ear. The gentleman that served us (didn’t catch his name unfortunately, he had a beard shielded by a beard net) made our experience exceptional. We all agreed that we would be back based on the experience we had with the lovely gentleman alone. I hope everyone appreciates him as much as we did. If you enjoy great service and quick wit, make a reservation at this place. Much gratitude from the three of us.

We have ate here a few times now. The service is good and the staff are friendly enough. The food is usually alright but not for the price sadly. The price they charge for some things should mean the portion is bigger or the food is better quality. However the portions are small and not of great quality for the price! My friend had the curry when we last ate and she said it was lovely however @£17.50 she got a small bowl of rice and the curry only filled half a bowl and she got 4 tiny pieces of flat bread she was still hungry on finishing it. The desserts are 7.50 and there is a poor selection i had the sticky toffee pudding and to be honest ive had a lot better at lower prices.
L. M.
Great lunch, chowder was beautiful. Staff are very friendly and helpful! Cocktails are amazing!
S. B.
Staff member Heather was amazing! Attentive, knowledgeable and made amazing cocktails. Would go back again just for the service - the cocktails were gorgeous and worth the hype
S. O.
Nice Pub.Staff were lovely and very attentive. Food was delicious. Recommend!
M. F.
Cheerful atmosphere and quick and reliable service. We ordered some meat and fresh ground burger that were both juicy and delicious and arrived very quickly. Look trough the drinks compendium to find the best one for you. The Old fashioned and Belfast Coffee were both very tasty.
D. Q.
The Cloth Ear is a lovely place to go; we only had a couple of drinks, but the atmosphere was good. I'll be back for a meal at some point. The decor is lovely and staff are friendly so not much more you can ask for.
C. C.
Excellent quality of food, had the delicious halloumi salad. Friendly staff. Lovely, relaxed environment. Only downside is there is not a massive tap selection, but I'd definitely come back again.
E. N.
Last couple of times great food! Last visit great wee snug, however food very disappointing. Cheese board a joke! One bit of cheese & some crackers & iced/frozen grapes! £9!!

My wife and I visited The Cloth Ear after being intrigued by the artichoke fish and chips. We are both vegans and have had banana blossom fish and chips so this was something new to try and we were certainly not disappointed.
From the moment we walked in we knew we were in for a good night. Upon hearing it was our honeymoon, bubbles were soon in our hand while we browsed the menu.
All three courses were exceptional. My wife could not understand how they made the chips so tasty. The coating on the artichoke resembled southern-fried food rather than beer battered fish and we loved it!
I would not normally go for a fried starter and main as I was full by the time the brownie was presented but we were on our honeymoon.
Overall, an incredible experience and I would recommend anyone visiting Belfast to book a table at The Cloth Ear.
J. L.
All other places that served food were fully booked or too noisy. Came here to this gastro pub and was told the back room was reserved but staff Christoper found us a table and was quick to serve us drinks. Clean washrooms. Richard was friendly, fun and polite. Food was amazing. Both chicken in creamy tarragon sauce and classic fish & chips were amazing.
Lovely cosy relaxing place with excellent service and amazing foods.
T. S.
Lovely clean bar/restaurant. Attentive staff. I ordered 2 starters rather than a main, only one came out. I had a small bulgar wheat salad without tomatoes, which was very tasty and a good portion but I love pomegranates and they had substituted them for sweetcorn! I pointed this out and they told me they couldn't get any pomegranates but had given me a pomegranate dressing to make up for it (really they should be asking if thats OK rather than just serving it up and hoping for the best?!) Absolutely delicious cocktail, would go there again but seeing as I didn't get half of my food and the other half was not what was on the menu I think really they should have considered taking something off the bill... (they took off the food that didn't arrive once I pointed it out, they had assumed I'd had it from a different server and it had been cleared away when they brought the salad out. No discount on the incorrect order though)
M. H.
Love this venue! Superb food , awesome cocktails, friendly and accommodating staff , excellent doorman!!
P. F. B.
Lovely food great ambience and quirky...the service could have been better but in fairness the country was just reducing covid restrictions so that might explain it. Oh yes delicious cocktails too!
F. C.
Book ahead especially during December as it can get very busy. Cozy decor and very attentive staff makes this a great escape from the weather and crowds. I had the braised beef which came with spuds and veg.. all extremely tasty and would order it all again immediately. Big selection of cocktails and spirits and some local craft beers. Great spot
L. S.
Gorgeous, well maintained pub with attentive staff and great food.
S. G.
Had a superb dinner in The Cloth Ear while staying in the Merchant for my husband's 60 th birthday. We were served our meal and really looked after by Richard, who gives 100% and really should be recognised for that. Great entertainment on that night too from Singer/ song writer musicians Davy Watson and Jackie Rainey. Would recommend this place to everyone!
D. D.
Food was fine but front of house manager has an awful manner. No please or thank you. There are many places to go in Belfast and lots of businesses that are struggling. I'm affraid he was enough to stop me going back again
S. K.
We had an excellent night. Kate is a delight to the business. 5 Star service
K. S.
First time back since lockdown. Always a great place to visit for a few cocktails 🍸 👌 at a time when going out is becoming extremely expensive it was refreshing to see that the management have kept prices affordable. 😀
E. M.
Lovely place to enjoy a cocktail or two, very pleasant surroundings and friendly staff. I will definitely be going back.
G. G.
I went to this restaurant with 3 friends. We had a really nice experience! The atmosphere was relaxed and chill. The menu offers traditional meals, vegan and gluten-free options, all day menu and desserts. Prices are super reasonable. My friends had fish and chips, cheeseburger and I had a Shepherd’s Pie, everybody was happy with their meal. The staff was super friendly and polite! Perfect for a date. As a plus: piano bar 😊recommended 👌🏻
S. Q.
Had dinner here yesterday and, as always, had a lovely and very relaxed evening. Have always found the staff of The Cloth Ear to be particularly helpful and attentive but on our visit yesterday, was especially impressed by the service provided by both Tommy and James. James was a complete star, who went above and beyond to make our dining experience a memorable one, and paid close attention to detail, making sure we had everything we needed. I would totally recommend The Cloth Ear, particularly to experience the 5 star service that is always provided.
D. H.
Had such a lovely visit here recently, between tasty food and good drinks and excellent service from Nadia and Christopher we will definitely be back next time we are in the area. I had the surf and turf which was cooked to perfection and my partner had the Kelp which was a first and interesting alternative for a vegetarian. All in all great time and great service.
M. H.
Friendly service and great food, the atmosphere was very chilled.. Live music was brilliant.
K. C.
The food in the cloth ear you could not fault the fish and chips were cooked to perfection and the service was very good. The ambience of the pub a bit confusing from vintage clothes in frames on the wall to what looked lime 3D stags heads behind the bar a little confusing also some of the seating was ripped and needed repairing
F. W.
Staff are great! Very attentive! The food is very good and if you fancy a nice ipa try the wicklow wolf.
M. H.
Real nice cosy Irish bar with delicious food and great service. Very nice people, the Irish.
R. H.
Was just lovely to share my Sister Jennifer's special Birthday with a most delicious meal here
k. k.
Great place for lunch food was really tasty and very good quality. Lovely manager looked after us when we told her we were in a bit of a hurry and with two small kids couldn't have been more obliging. Would highly recommend.
Looked like they had an amazing cocktail selection too.
p. m.
Great bar and staff working exceptionally hard in these restricted times keeping everyone safe.
We had two groups for dinner. Mixed reviews on the food. My burger with bacon and cheese was a lot more bap than burger and the accompanying chips were not too fresh. Various opinions from our group; steaks and chops were best received while the fish, burgers and a Chinese style curry were not great.
But, a great night made special by the brilliant staff.
B. P.
Lovely space, great food ,friendly atmosphere. What's not to like?
A. W.
Service was patchy due to busy time, however the food was great, especially the selection. Price was reasonable for the quality
T. Y.
Meeting an old friend on a return to Belfast from 14 months abroad.
Lunch at the Cloth Ear today was perfect. Food, ambiance and service all excellent, with the a very attentive team member who served us and checked on us the jewel in the Crown.
Although I thought I'd made a mental note I have unfortunately forgotten his name...but his polite style was very very special and quite old fashioned, as in you generally don't get that anymore no matter how high the standard of restaurant..thank-you.
J. B.
Nice food. Great customer service. Richard is a gem and a perfect front of house host. What a gent.
B.
Lovely place and very friendly. From the doormen to the staff inside. Food is fantastic. Very handy too beside lots of other bars and part of the merchant Hotel.
K. M.
Excellent food and service at The Cloth Ear. Always a great atmosphere. The staff are extremely pleasant.
A. M.
We went for our 44th wedding anniversary the staff wer excellent food was outv this world Chowder was the best I've tasted in a lifetime
3.
Great evening meal. Good food and drinks menu and very attentive staff. Fish chowder was cooked well with great flavours. Fried cod and dripping chips was cooked perfectly. Probably the best evening meal that we had during our visit to Belfast
R. C.
My husband and I had a delicious lunch here. He would highly recommend the burger. He's desperate to go back! I had a vegetarian curry which was lovely too. Reasonably priced. Great atmosphere. Lovely staff. Will definitely be back. ❤️
D. M.
Great Guinness. Good food. Friendly staff. Well worth a visit.
A. B.
Excellent food, warm ambiance and vert nice service !!
J. G.
Loved the ultra local craft beer selection and decor. The tins on the table for your phone were nice so you talk instead of stare at your phone. Great spot!
A. C.
Thought I'd take advantage of the 20 minute lunch today. Unfortunately it was more of an expensive starter than a lunch. Tiger Prawn Pasta for £7.50! Service was quick and staff were friendly, but these portions are ridiculously small.
J. K.
Have fabulous meal here with a group of ladies from work .11 of us in total. Food was great and all served swiftly as was dessert. Couldn't complain one bit. Staff very pleasant too.
L. O. D.
On visiting the cloth and ear bar and restaurant, we were greated with a warm reception, from the manager Damien where we had a relaxing drink and then ordered off the menu. The food and service was absolutely outstanding and would recommend the fish and chips and the free range chicken with bacon and greens. The bar represented a friendly atmosphere with a excellent choice of music...would highly recommend it and we will definitely be back thank you 😊
T. M.
Not the best measures on the French Martini😂
E. H.
Great bar in the cathedral quarter, not cheap but worth the money. The £15 Irish flights is definitely worth trying!
G. T.
Lovely lunch. Good staff. Nice atmosphere.
P. S.
Its a nice restaurant on good location. Food was great so the drinks. Staff was very helpful. Recommended.

Beautiful place and fantastic staff the food was excellent we look forward to getting back to Belfast to call again
M. B.
Friendly bar staff and good food. Always a lovely atmosphere.
d. O.
Great food, attentive service, lovely atmosphere
R. C.
Called in for cocktails with the intention of going somewhere else to eat, but couldnt help noticing some very nice food aromas. We couldnt get a tsble at our next venue so we wandered back. Superb attentive service and stunningly delicious food. The lamb shoulder and veg were as good as anything in a swanky joint. Highly reomended. Very relaxed ambience.
S. R.
Pleasant enough. Lovely people, an ok array of beers and ok food. The actual surroundings are beautiful, it's a bit of a shame that the food and drink don't quite live up to the promise of the architecture and decor. Still worth a look, if only for the various pieces of Victorian clothing on display.
J. S.
Food and atmosphere where good and it's reasonably priced my partner got the sugared pork chop which was lovely I wish I'd went for it instead of the burger. We had a vegan with us and there was options for him also The evening was stole by our server Richard absolute gentleman the guy really made the meal for us and was an absolute delight
H. M.
Friendly staff and lovely food. We had the stake and it was really nice.
h.
Stood only for a few minutes to wait for a table in the sun for a couple of glasses of wine! Gorgeous spot. The two men who served us made the experience even more lovely, thank you Tommy and unfortunately I didn't see the other man's name (lovely English accent and a beard!). You were both great
T. O.
Really nice mix of feeling traditional yet modern. The food was all very nice, service was good and had a nice atmosphere in the venue. Worth going to if you're looking for really good gastropub style options.
C. M.
We booked in for dinner and drinks. The service from the staff was amazing. It was also refreshing to go in somewhere with out blasting music or some guy moaning in the corner with an acoustic guitar.
c. r.
The food was exceptional, 10 out of 10 would highly recommend, if you are in Belfast it is a must
L. L. D.
Loved the impeccably kept pub! The wait staff were extremely warm and welcoming, especially Conor who took the extra effort to make us feel more at home! Give him a raise!!
r. t.
Decor and food / staff nice however , not one staff member is assigned to a table so we have around 7 staff coming and going so we got the wrong drinks and the wrong food . No on asked if we got everything we needed , we asked for sauces and he came back with them when we finished our meal. The expresso martini was horrible so I asked if they could add sugar and he never came back , I asked him again and he said the bar staff said no so I had to ask him to take my drink to the bar and sort it out or replace it . Onion bhaji starter was not an onion Bhaji it was a huge posh onion ring .
R. D.
Great place for drinks. Lovely staff.
L.
A very relaxed and beautiful bar. Very hogwarts feeling 😂 We had the fish and chips and they were outstanding! The service was very friendly and the staff are professional and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone 😊
P. M.
What an amazing bar. Cocktails were out of this world and to top it off the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome, from the doorman to the floor staff. Couldnt fault and had a brilliant night.
S. L.
Called in here for lunch. Very good and innovative meals. Smoked haddock chowder was excellent, served with sourdough bread.
A. S.
It's only getting 3 out of 5, cos we had to sit outside and it was bloody cold lol
A. S.
Good food, service and setting, but nothing special overall
P. M.
Fantastic fish n chips + great service
M. M.
Lovely food, friendly staff
A. P.
Very friendly staff. Brew their own beer.
H. M.
Great menu options at average prices. Polite and attentive staff. Comfortable spaced seating.
S. G.
They only allow certain time slots for bookings which is fair enough. But then they don't come and take your order for ages so you've to rush your dinner and no time for dessert.
Richard was amazing though
P. S.
Great food and drink, nice ambience and friendly service. The courgette fritters and vegetable curry were delicious.
C. W.
Upmarket bar, not too pricey but I'm a Londoner, so don't take my word. Lovely and knowledgeable staff willing to take a moment with you to help you pick the right drinks. Nice atmosphere and I don't know if its a common occurrence but until 6pm on Saturday there was a band playing Irish music. Fantastic atmosphere and good drinks selection. A lot of gins, cocktails, beers etc. Some nice whiskey too.
b. d.
Nice food but expensive. £18:50 for 2 toasted sandwiches and tea.
R. M.
Great menu. Staff very pleasant and attentive, despite being a busy Tuesday night. The chowder is a must, absolutely delicious.
T. S.
We really enjoyed our night here... Nice atmosphere and staff were very attentive and friendly... Food was great and nice cocktails too... We will definately return
C. M.
Very good food, perfect size for a menu with plenty of vegetarian options as well. Great atmosphere and nice staff, will definitely go again.
M. S.
Excellent service from Carla at The Cloth Ear. She was very informative and found out answers when she didn't know. Very nice lunch, very tasty and competitively price. Lunch for two with a desert and some drink around £50. Well priced. Brilliant service. Cannot really fault. Maybe a small side sale with toasties would be an extra but I my a minor thing to mention. Thanks so much.
C. S.
Lovely bar staff my favourite place 😁
C. S.
Been a few times. Loved it every time! Beautiful food and drinks. Lovely casual atmosphere in the bar! Never seems to disappoint!
R. P.
Been here several times while in Belfast. Bar stayed open later for us.
J. S.
Lovely food and delightful service by a wonderful chap named Richard!! Complete gentleman and a pleasure to have met.
C. B.
Great place with some really nice craft beer, cocktails and good food
A. W.
Nice pub. Great venue. Get a table outside and just people watch. Brill. Going to try Sunday roast next week.
M. G.
Really delicious food - and so well priced - In a gorgeous dining room with lovely staff.
P. B.
Good food and service. Usually very busy but on the day we visited we didn’t have to queue. We sat by the fire at a nice cosy window table.
The atmosphere is relaxing and vibrant. My wife had chicken satay and I had the chicken curry.
An extensive wine menu and a nice selection of beers. Very central, on the edge of the Cathedral Quarter an a five minute walk from the City Hall.
R. L.
Amazing food and drinks. Very friendly staff and looking forward to returning there in the future
J. M.
Excellent menu, great atmosphere
A. C.
This is a lovely bar. The quality and comfort of the furnishings gives a classy up market feel. There are plenty of local draft beers and a comprehensive wine list. The staff are professional in approach and appearance. I ordered the beef and ale pie which was tasty, my wife had fish and chips which were ok. We would definitely return for drinks.
R. D.
Amazing night here with friends. One of the few places thats a conversation bar and you can still hear other people speaking over the live music. The ides of keeping the white tins on the table, to put your mobile into is genius. Friendly bartenders and staff here too. Would definitely recommend.
D. B.
Good food, great atmosphere
H. W.
Fabulous food and surroundings lovely staff. Well worth a visit.
P. O.
decent pub grub nice staff
C. G.
Very good place! Delicious food!

Enjoyed a quiet drink here before a meal nearby. Nice atmosphere.
c. m.
Excellent service, really pleasant door staff and waiting team! Over priced at £9.50 for a glass of chardonnay!! But hey ho!
u.
Love this place . Food is always great but the most enjoyable part is the staff. Polite, friendly, helpful and funny but never intrusive or rude. Highly recommend.
D. D.
Great place to eat with friends 😋
B. C.
Looking for a place to drink on our last evening in Belfast, we came past the restaurant and the menu caught our attention for it offers a large range of vegan items.
We went through the door and didn't even have the time to look around that someone was already to welcome us before sitting us on a nice table by the window.
The front of House members who looked after us all along were all very friendly and helpful and offered a professional and efficient service.
As a vegan, I was happy to see originality in the menu options, and even happier to try them ! The hanging vegetables skewer was a quite simple yet really tasty dish, and it was rather funny to eat.
Also I still can't believe that Sticky Toffee Pudding was vegan. So good.
All in all we had a wonderful experience, must definitely recommend.
b. o. l.
Nice place for food and drink, friendly staff
S.
I went to this place a good few weeks ago . I have to say , really decent food ! Could not fault it . We also had the friendliest waiter :). Once lock down is over , I will definitely be back !
M. M.
Excellent staff and environment
Must attend
S. J.
This was our first pit stop in Belfast, quite by chance, and it didn't disappoint. Really good quality food in perfect portion sizes. Very friendly and attentive staff, can highly recommend
J. M.
Nothing to criticise lovely food brought by pleasant staff. A great experience thanks
P. D.
Lovely place to sit in and dine. Had the slightest of issues regarding our order in the waiting list however they rectified it immediately, offered us a drink on the house and the food was absolutely delicious. Service by the staff was top quality. Could not ask for any more and will recommend to anyone looking for a bite to eat in the city.
L.
Place relaunching very very soon, exciting times people!!!
M. A.
Great wee cocktail bar sat besides the open fire 🔥
K. R.
Well run establishment and staff were very attentive and mannerly. Food was nice but portions were small and it was basic enough for the price. I will return in the future
M. A. H.
Great Food ,Wonderful service!
H. S.
What an amazing place to visit! We are over from England and our family recommended The Cloth Ear. Excellent service from a lovely waiter (Caolan) who recomended gluten free ale and with 2 Vegans 1 having an gluten intolerance in our party of 4 made it so easy. Food was tasty and good value for money, seating area clean and tidy. Definently worth a visit.
K.
Lovely food, great service, great ambiance.
G. W.
If you’re fortunate enough to be served by Richard here, you are in for an absolute treat. The most charming, proper gentleman with a delightful hint of cheek.
The food was utterly delicious! Proper gastro-pub. Cannot not recommend highly enough.
R.
Last visit was a fantastic total wipe out, ate way to much lovely grub, then washed it all down with way too many excellent and various quality brands of Russian water and some stout. Will have to go back soon and face my fears, to regain my confidence. 100% recommended.
J. H.
We were booked as a large group (c. 20) and to be honest the service was not good. One of our group did not receive her meal until nearly everyone else was finished eating. The food was okay but the set menu provided was quite poor in terms of choice. The place itself is nice. Wouldn't rush back.
J. M.
It's been a few years since I was last here was never that fussed on the plane was place. That's all changed now. Great service and reasonable prices. Live band playing r&b were excellent. A very enjoyable night and can't wait to go back 😊
O. H.
Melt in the mouth sea-bass, the carrot puree and potato gratin were delicious.
A great vegan menu, though their "Sea Veg & Chips" could be further refined with a lighter batter on the sea veg. The chips were cooked to perfection.
Great cocktails and a great selection of gins.
S. R.
Loved it fantastic bar and food
M. T.
Lovely lunch from a good menu. Food served by genuinely caring staff.
T. g.
Fabulous service and great pub food .
b. w.
Cocktails were amazing, food was okay, would definitely go back for a drink, maybe not the food
R. E.
Food was alright, service was a bit slow. One blonde girl was basically running the entire show doing the work of 3+ people. At the same time some ponytailed man child took forever but also somehow managed to find the time be rude to customers.
N. F.
Was probably a great old dive years ago but for me lacked character. It felt a bit contrived or to be really blunt a "plastic paddy"
A. D.
Stopped in for a quick drink, which quickly turned into a few smithwicks' each and the fish and chips + haddock chowder.
Service was great, atmosphere is everything you'd want, and they have daily Trad sessions as well for fans of music. Expect drinks to run 4.8-5.5 GBP for pints and the lunch menu meals are 10-15. If I lived in Belfast I'd be back again soon!
C. H.
We visited today and had a lovely meal. The afternoon was made even more special with the attention given by Richard. He certainly made our afternoon perfect and we will definitely visit again.
E. S.
The food was excellent, service great. Drinks and deserts were expensive but very good. Very good experience altogether.
J. G.
We were a party of nine on a saturday night and the service was excellent. Friendly helpful staff who couldn't have done more.....thank you! The menu catered for all our complex requirements and was delicious, so overall a great night!
L. m.
Best mai tai in town
C. N.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent food experience in a BEAUTIFUL building-ding!!☆☆☆☆☆+☆
P. l.
Due to lockdown have been unable to visit this establishment, but architecturally it’s a beautiful building, and most certainly a spot to visit along side the Merchant Hotel situated right next to it.
L. C.
Another visit and every bit as good as last time. Food good and well presented.
R. R.
Amazing cocktails, friendly staff and good food.
E. W.
We stumbled upon this spot in our first hours of being in Belfast. There was live traditional Irish music, amazing and yummy food and friendly staff. The roast beef dinner was delic and I loved the decor of this spot.
M. B.
Nice food and good cocktails in a cool bar.
S. B.
Amazing food and service! Delighted with the experience. Was recommended as a place for foodies by a Belfast native and it exceeded expectations.
A. K.
Great meat free menu. I had the 'No fish supper' i highly recommend it!
h. d.
Good menu catering for everyone. Fantastic food and helpful and friendly staff. Very clean and great location. Price good for the service received. Highly recommended.
K.
My chums and I were there on Saturday, we had a great time thanks to the staff Damien and Tommy great day out!
T. D.
Food was amasing and the waiting staff were so so nice ..well worth a visit
D. J.
Food was great, we went here for a vegan night which was really good. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Live music was brilliant as well, great atmosphere.
R. L.
From the outside looks like a tiny place but walk through the doors and it opens out into a large long room. Bar stocks wide range of local ales, whisky and gin. Friendly barstaff and relaxing atmosphere make it a place to visit.
A. M.
Lovely food well matched with the beer. However the staff could have been more attentive. We had to go to the bar to get our bill.
