Lovely Sunday afternoon, very relaxed vibes. Had a fantastic Sunday roast, excellent value for money. Quick and attentive staff, always on hand to help. Great location, and will be back soon! Keep up the great work!

Perfect medium-sized pub, with friendly/welcoming atmosphere and great staff. Bonus points to the pub dog/cat who make random appearances around the pub. Always brighten up the experience.

I have given 3 stars for the menu and the value for money. Our visit was very disappointing. We ordered 2 starters and 2 mains. The two starters were served on one plate and served at the same time as the mains. The mushrooms should have been served with a salad garnish and a dip, they weren't. The omelettes were very nice but could have been hotter. I asked for pineapple juice, they didn't have any. I don't know if they don't stock it or were just out of stock. I then asked for sparkling water and was offered soda water. I don't know if this means they don't stock sparkling water. I don't know if they were very busy but service was quite slow.

Pretty nice place, they do food now which was tasty. A little on the expensive side for a bar snack and it would have been nice to see veggie/ vegan options which weren't just chips. Nice place for a pint without being surrounded by students though

A fantastic establishment, which is extremely welcoming. My family felt very comfortable with the clientele which in turn left my children feeling very relaxed and at ease. The food was super with extremely accommodating staff. I would recommend this well run pub to anyone

This is a propa local pub, I like it! 🍻 🥃 The location is great, on the A38 Bristol Road with plenty of bus stops just a stones throw away. Inside there's a pool table 🎱 and a dart board 🎯. There's also a gambling machine 🎰 and juke box 🎶. There's plenty of outdoor seating too, both to the front and rear of the premises to enjoy the great weather and/or for all you smokers.

Good, great, super and fantastic. A great place and always a joy to visit. Staff as always are knowledgeable and kind - always happy to see us and treat and welcome us each time we visit. Great location and one to try when you're near. Ten gold stars.

We were much delayed by snow a few weeks ago, so stop for a bite to eat. Steak was thin, tough and far overcooked. We felt uncomfortable with presumably local clientele. Very helpful and friendly barmaid though.

Paul ere. A very good and freindly pub a big welcoming change from what other astablishments have shown at the other side of town. Not meaning the bar staff but the way the regulars look at you when your a stranger in there pub but I soppose you can get that any were. With the bear & staff you just get happy people.

Friendly staff and great customers .. i am a regular to this gaff and have never had an issue with food/staff or customers. Wednesday club is good for a cheaper day/afternoon out , would recommend you visit here if you are passing, you wont be dissapointed.

Great little traditional pub. Freindly staff Food good and quite cheap ( when it's available). Regulars are ok and freindly although it can get a bit boistrous but all harmless fun. By far the best pub in Selly Oak.

Not advertised as real ale pub Mr Walder. I have been drinking in this pub for 22 years and the customers are not shabby and neither is the pub. How many times have you been to The Bear. Suggest you keep your coments to yourself!!!!
