Was just passing and thought we would pop in for a quick bite. Ordered food and drinks from Lauren at the bar. So helpful, cheerful and efficient. Cutlery and such delivered to the table and food fetched within 8 minutes. Presentation 10 Temp of food 10 Quality 10 Value for money 10 Overall service 11 if possible. Highly recommended. We intend to visit more often. Lauren worked the tables outside where we finished our drinks, she never stopped working and was cheerful to all. Thank you to Lauren and the Digby

Gave 5* due to the landlady. She is very accommodating, looks after her staff and customers. She makes and effort to ensure all guests are happy and content with the service provided. Personally, I did not like the Digby but after my recent visit I think 5* is well deserved as the atmosphere was very inviting and the service was great.

Bartender Ryan is a very crazy man but never fails to give service with a smile. The price in drinks can vary to pretty darn good to bloody outrageous but I thoroughly enjoyed the cosy drinks alone.

Nice food and good service. Will be back. Lovely beer garden too I have had to reduce my star rating. Went back here today after a great experience with my coeliac child but our experience was completely the opposite. We ordered on the app and waited 30 minutes for our drinks, I asked 3 staff about it and eventually they were brought out. I used the app to check the allergens but what the app said and what their till said when I double checked was different (could have serious consequences for my daughter). They then brought out 2 of the same meals for my children but we ordered 2 different ones, by the time my 3 year old got his meal the rest of us had almost finished I then had to ask 3 times for their dessert I get people are busy and it's a learning curve but this service was shocking and will make me think twice before coming back again

It was my first time at The Digby and i must say it was a wonderful experience! Firstly the environment and scenery was calm and relaxing and the customer service was impeccable ! I was served by a lovely guy named Ryan who gave me some amazing food recommendations; Mac and cheese with extra's, gammon steak, chicken wings with Franks hot sauce. Honestly the food was cooked amazingly and i enjoyed every minute of my visit. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to others!

Staff professional and friendly nothing is too much much trouble, although currently with Covid restrictions the menu is limited it is of an excellent standard and reasonably priced. Covid rules adhered to with a smile and an explanation if required. Most definitely will be making this my local.

A nice little pub to visit with a all beer garden at the front. Prices are fairly competitive and the atmosphere isn't too bad either. Bar staff are polite and friendly. There is sometimes a bouncy castle at the front which is a bonus for any parents bringing their young kids.

despite reading all the negative reviews on here, i decided to stick with my plans about having a meal here - and im glad i did! the place itself has a pub restaurant feel and is very down to earth with no pretense. the place was clean and tidy inside with televisions and pool table. all staff members who served us were nice, friendly, and polite. the menu was brilliant with plenty of choice and good value for money - 2 meals for £9! not only that but u also have the advantage of getting 2 desserts for the price of 1! and the chocolate fudge cake was a very generous slice! all food received was served on hot plates and tasted great. i will be coming back here again. im glad i decided to go despite the other negative comments on here, as we had a great time. well done digby! you passed my expectations! (we went here june 2014)

Went for 5 Course Xmas lunch with my Dad on Xmas day & it was absolutely DELICIOUS! Every course was as good as the next & our eyes were definitely bigger than our tummys by the time last courses the cheeseboard, tea & mince pies were put in front of us! This is the 2nd time we've had Xmas lunch twice there now& we can't recommend it enough, as it takes off all the worries of the uu &clearing up when you do Xmas lunch at home! We also go for lunch or tea as a treat, or when I can't be bothered to cook 2/3times a month, not including the times I meet my mate for a catch up! Since the refurbishment The Digby has definitely improved, it is decorated tastefully & comes across as a welcoming, family friendly pub. The staff are approachable & very friendly. We Highly recommend The Digby if your going for a quick drink on your own, meeting a mate for a drink & bite to eat, having a family celebration, having a moan at lunch before the school run meeting your mates for drinks before you all hit the Town or any other reason. Really reasonably priced menu with great food & desserts. We will 100% certain be returning soon. See you there?xx

August 2017. Pub has had a lot of money spent on it and decor is greatly improved. Someone has even realised that silent telly is better with teletext switched on. Good menu with special offers. Shame that refurb hasn't been publicised.

The staff seem to do you a favour by serving you, Only yesterday I asked for a double brandy no ice please. The girl behind the bar picked a ale glass half pint & proceeded to put the double brandy in the said glass. I said hang on, i don't want it in a beer beer glass. She, the barmaid said well what glass do you want it in then? A brandy glass i replied, we ain't got none came the reply, a wine glass then I said. She poured the drink & said do you want ice? Remember I had already said a double brandy no ice PLEASE. The staff I presume are on minimum wage, but saying that they don't give us the drinks for nothing do they? So a little good manners would be welcome. I always respect and speak to staff property & say please & thank you.
