Reviews of Figure of Eight - JD Wetherspoon
L. T. P.
Fantastic pub with great food
Just what you need when sheltering
From the storm
Great atmosphere, friendly staff
T. A.
7 real ales on. Cairngorm Wildcat ale excellent. Long room + beer garden. Good service.
D. W.
The staff are absolutely lovely and so professional. The food is lovely too and so reasonably priced! Highly recommended.
M.
Nice place, you don't need booking and you get your table, there is no one in the entrance to accommodate you. The food was ok, very normal taste and prices.
We spent a very good evening until we were request to leave cause we were 3 adults and a child. Children are only allowed until 22:30 just in case you're wondering if you can go with kids.
A. S.
The food was nice, served quickly with friendly staff. Gotta say though, all the kitchen staff there are incredibly good looking. Having them hidden away in the kitchen is a sin. Got served by someone named William, might be one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, also he is a serious piece of eye candy
Update: Just been removed for trying to kiss William, will try again soon 😉
M. P.
Just had a lovely meal here. Was served by the lady with the blue hair (sorry didn't get your name). But the service was 10/10 really friendly an told me about the changes to the new menu. The food was great aswell!
P. S.
I have been in Birmingham for a few days, and have chosen the Figure of Eight, as it’s close to my hotel, and it’s a as Wetherspoon’s so I know what to expect.
Absolutely nothing wrong with the food and drink, as price is important.
Staff are pleasant, often busy due to the number of people visiting, and there’s nothing I can say they is negative, but I’m not looking for negativity!
g. 8. o.
Nice space, large outdoor area. Decent menu for mirco food products. Breakfest options 👍👍 steak and burger cool
p. p. (. p.
Staff seemed run off their feet but were very friendly.
Food was sound.
BONUS... toilets are ground level and a mere 15 second walk from furthest point (indoors). Did not time journey from outdoor smoking area as the vape chamomile and lavender scents make me gag.
C. K.
Amazing food/drinks Staff was very
Kind and we would come back here again
👍🏻
G. B.
Food and drink slightly more expensive than lock down but still very good value for money. Recommend a visit but expect to wait for seats. Try not to come in evenings if you want to sit. Food hot and bargain for meals with drinks. Oh no Strongbow ciders removed from the menu. One of my fave drinks. Will need persuading to try other makes of cider. Boo
w. h.
I asked if they were bringing the other half of the chips out later lol...
Staff are really good and cool.
Witherspoon's is great.
S.
A fab place to spend good time with you friends. The place has a backyard sitting arrangements too which is a superb place to have Beers during summer.
Overall experience was nice.
J. C.
Food was pretty good and fairly good value, service wasn't all that quick but definitely wasn't slow. The table was not so clean and staff did not offer to clean up until we called them over. That said it was still an enjoyable meal. As with any Wetherspoon, you know what to expect. If you have the app or saves getting up to go and order and it is definitely quicker. Definitely worth a visit for a substantial, and fairly good quality meal and good drinks, that aren't overly expensive.
L. H.
Absolutely loved the food here. 1 of the staff Will couldn't of helped anymore if he tried. He could see I was disabled and carried my hot drinks on each occasion I visited. Cheers will be back to visit soon!
F. C.
Very good location, cheap prices and a nice garden area. The food are drinks are also very nice. However, what got me very disappointed is the staff in this venue. Seems like nobody cares for the cleanliness of tables and areas - i had to change table only to find out another is also fully sticky. This was sorted after a request. Furthermore, we didn't receive a full set of cutlery with the food (knives were missing), the sauce station was almost fully empty and staff seems to always gather around together for a chat carelessly for clients around. It could've been a nice experience as the food and drinks were really nice!
j. c.
Nipped in here whilst in Brum for Hammerfest at The O2.
All the staff were polite & helpful, even the door staff managed to calm down a few gobby kids who were acting up.
Used the app to order & pay, but when the system was down we were warned about it being cash-only by the door staff on our way in.
Plenty of staff kept the place looking clean - one of the nicer Wetherspoons I've been into.
C. P.
This is another well run JD Wetherspoon.
The customer service was exemplary.
The food was well prepared and great value.
The beer and Gin selection was superb.
The toilets were clean and well maintained.
If you are after a warm, dry comfortable environment with cheaper food and drinks pay this place a visit.
S. B.
Good service in this busy spoons staff were friendly the food arrived quickly and all correct. Not so many vegan options as there used to be. Good prices and great drinks choices.
C. M.
Tables were sticky , the cups they gave us had lipstick on them , the drink machine is next to the toilets and the waiter came with our food and my egg was touching her dirty top . I told her she got me a new egg quick which was good but then she literally threw the plate onto the table. The food was good though and service was quick.
H. S.
Used the scan code off the menu but it wasn't working, it let me order a burger but wouldn't add the drink, so had to order at the till. But food was really nice and the young lad who served me was very sweet

I’m so happy to eat today my breakfast at #the_figure_of_eight I have been ordering food for my self in my twice the food are good but I don’t like it #English_breakfast because I’m not eating pork sausage roll and bacon and it very hard to find out my breakfast. all staff are very friendly and helpful, the service is great 😊 and attentive service.

Nice place but x .. I had a white wine and my fella had a pint Carling.. we both said didn't taste nice
S. L.
Not very clean, hot drinks out of stock of items on two consecutive days. Messy and service rather miserable. However, cheap, well located...it is what it is and serves a purpose.
P. K.
I went twice and had very different experiences. The first time everything went smoothly; my pizza was pretty good and service was faultless. The second time, the waitress brought me a plate of cold chips and onion rings with a lukewarm burger in a stale bun. I was sitting in the garden area outside, but instead of bringing condiments with my food and cutlery, she told me to go inside to get them. Having tried the food I went inside to complain, and the nice barmaid immediately sorted out the problem, and brought me a new meal herself. It was hot and fresh this time, but still not a good burger. Definitely a place to go if budget is a concern (pints for under £2.50; most meals under £8), but it's much better for drinks than for food.
e. e.
Difficult to review given that it was near Christmas... The place was rammed. Very lucky to grab a table. The beer was good and the food was ok
J. W.
Typical weatherspoons, large, well spaced tables, cheap wide selection of drink and great food. App based ordering great during Covid
L. O.
Ate there in October a few times - good prices - great food - staff friendly and efficient - love the weatherspoon pubs in general - recommend this one - would go there again - great for accommodating kids with food -
C. J.
Cheap beer, basic service no music, dirty just good to meet up and move on
T. C.
Surprisingly has a beer garden a bit of a bonus on a hot day and very unusual for a Birmingham City pub.
There are plenty of places to sit with excellent bar staff as well as floor staff.
Choice of ales is a bit hit and miss.
Good choice of world beers.
Typical wetherspoons food so value to be had for all. Quiet during the later part of the morning and from 2pm on a midweek day after early breakfast time as many contractors are in.
During the week it can get busy through lunchtime with office staff. Gets very busy on Friday and Saturday nights being a go to place for pre club drinks and open till at least 1am.
Great place to chill and relax if you pick the right times.
S. B.
Interesting a few modified changes due to covid restrictions at the bar but generally a good evening as the was a beer festival on leading up to Halloween so some of the ales reflected this.
A. M.
Tried vegan curry (chickpea and spinach); not very spicy. Naan was too hard and papadum really oily. Rice was really good. Service was fine and quick.
M. I.
It felt like a local pub like everyone knew each other except me. The staff were friendly which was a plus and the garden was nice. Stella was off and I was told it tasted of line cleaner which was a little off putting.
T. J.
As good as a wetherspoons can get in terms food, but good cheap drinks. Sadly, got IDed 4 times which was slightly annoying.
L. R.
Absolutely bog standard wethers. Full of mentally ill drunks and rowdy punters. Good night tbf.
7/10 may call in again.
L. W.
Great price.....but cool blowers were on so had a very cold neck and back
B. B.
I like all witherspoon pubs. The food and drinks are good and reasonable. Everywhere we go around the UK we look for these pubs.
S. R.
Fabulous pub and restaurant, enjoy my day there with my nephew ste! Fantastic selections of drinks available & food! Very friendly & polite staff! Service was excellent! Will certainly go again soon!!!
Y.
If you come here be prepared to wait a long time for either a drink or food. On the weekends its a fun bubbly environment with loads of students, get ready to get wasted!
D.
Huge weatherspoons and friendly atmosphere, shame there's no music.
R. W.
Decor is typical of wetherspoons and the good was good value as always. Can't really go wrong with a wetherspoons for a meal and a drink before your night out begins
s.
Spent 7 hours there ranting about covid and the woke nonsense we all have to endure these days. Felt like 1 hour. They say time flies
M. G.
Traditional British pub style weather spoons. A smaller one but has beer garden.
N. C.
Opted to eat here rather than the hotel we are staying at (starter prices there averaged what you can see in photo provided). I kept it simple and had the fried buttermilk chicken burger with an alcoholic drink, that came to £6.69 in total.
For two meals, at peak time on a Sunday, the food came out hot and within 5-10 minutes of ordering. No complaints here, and will probably be here for breakfast tomorrow.
j. r.
Very very good beer and wine at decent prices exceptionally nice staff thank you
K. O.
Nice pub standard spoons always super busy at weekends. More of a student spoons on my opinion so other spoons are probably better suited too older clientele. Spacious outdoor area is great in summertime 👌🏽
S. H.
Friendly staff a d very good value coffee.
H. B.
Great pub, staff are lovely, we were visiting Birmingham and everyone was so nice. Highly recommended for a cheap drink
J. M.
Busy place but good value. Crowded on a Saturday night.
J. W.
It's a Wetherspoons... so that just is what it is. The rating is solely based on the absolutely lovely team there. Was there as part of a wedding reception and the staff went out of their way to organise plates, forks and napkins for us for the wedding cake and looked after us fantastically well otherwise as well. Hugely appreciated. Thank you!
R. M.
Wetherspoon always drafty air conditioning have to wear overcoat with collar up & it always feels warmer when you go outside. They are all the same????
C. T.
Good food, also beer garden.
D. C.
Great prices and choice but food is not great, over cooked and dry
T. P.
Was in here on Monday and was very impressed by the attitude of all the staff, even when the meal we had was not quite up to scratch they fully understood and gave us drinks to compensate, free. This is how a public house should be managed 👏.
L. K.
Love this place Guinness is perfectly poured and all of the staff are great too
V. S.
Decent pub! Highly recommended. Reasonable prices, good selection of local ales and Scottish whiskeys.
J. F.
As Wetherspoons goes, this is nothing far from the usual experience. However the added touch of an outside drinking area, in the heart of Birmingham, is something you'll be hard pushed to find anywhere else.
Excellent customer service (especially with COVID secure conditions), helpful staff, and excellent COVID secure precautions. Normally busy, which is only ever a good sign, which holds up to it's excellent atmosphere.
A. C.
Food and drink at very good prices Friendly happy staff, large outside area table's screened off all good.
J. W.
It's a typical Wetherspoons spacious and good value though the interior looks a bit 'tired' now. However it's not a place I would want to visit later evening due to the crowds and sometimes unruly behaviour of customers. Staff always polite and friendly in my experience in the daytime.
B. S. B. (.
It was easier and faster service when we ordered online. Staff were helpful and friendly.
C. C.
Good sekection of ale and food served on time and hot.
N. E.
Standard Wetherspoons fair, quick service and a good price.
e. j.
Great pub to get predrinks up in town
T. S.
Not bad looked more like an arcade due to slot machines
G. C.
I enjoyed my food and quick service.
C. C.
Classic spoons, pints are cheap, carpets are nice, toilets are adequate
S. F.
Nice place to meet friends for food and drinks. Like it
x. R.
Good wetherspoons, always busy, brilliant place for pre-drinks
G. L.
Friendly Staff very Efficient. Lovely people and all round Nice Restaurant Bar.
K. J.
Decent price and great place to go for food and drink
A. M.
Great breakfast before you start your day.
M. Y.
Great place. Staff were great here. 👍🏻
A. F.
Me and the better half had breakfast here after using the hotel next door. Food was great and coffees was nice, will use this place in the future.
_.
Good cold beer. I was a regular customer of this bar, I really liked eating here. Now I do not come here anymore because the place stinks and the portions of food are smaller.
S. B.
Decent wetherspoons, good ale selection.
K. P. O.
Excellent value and a lovely space, great beer garden.
S. K.
One of the amazing experience. Food , atmosphere is great and staff are very well behaved.Food is slight expensive, but totally worth it. Must recommended.
I. M.
Visited for food pre the reopening of inside dining. Food ordered on app, drinks brought quickly. Food came soon after and was good. Weathespoons are quite predictable, which is good.
P. W.
Still had good safety measures and tables were spaced out. Friendly staff.
C. T.
It's a Wetherspoon pub.
The food was average microwave food you expect so no qualms about visiting Wetherspoon pubs in the future.
S. L.
It's a cheap drinking spot on broadstreet nice staff
M.
Was nice and spacious very deceiving from the outside not sure if it's because of covid but quite a few staff wernt as helpful as they could be still very busy and nice food thank you.
M. M.
For a central pub was pretty good, service was good although some of the bar staff need to not just focus on the pretty girls but make the effort to serve all customers had to wait as they kept focusing on people who came up later to the bar, say no more !!! Food came out fast and was as expected, cider was well kept, prices are all good. Tables were slow to be Cleared but it was busy. Toilets were clean access was good
P. P.
It was ok cheap food on the go all day
S. W.
Typical Wetherspoons. It has pretty dated decor inside. But prices are cheap, food is the same as any other their pubs down the country.
Plenty of seating inside, with no issues of finding a place to sit. Located well for other pubs, bars and restaurants too which we found important.
Nothing cries out that this place is exceptional compared to other places.
P. G.
Visited with a group on the 30th August for a family meal. The food was excellent (ordered fish and chips and the batter coating was light and crispy) and the waitress was very kind and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend!
R. H.
Nice enough. It depends what you are expecting. Staff are lovely, especially since they are paid such a low wage.
V. C.
Been here 100 times! Always manage to have a good time, they have a nice terrace. Definitely the best spoons in Birmingham
E. K.
Busy and noisy here, but beer is cheap, sport/ rugby 🏉 on and staff very friendly.
J. C.
I spend many hour here on a Saturday afternoon and was treated to incredibly decent food at a brilliant price. Battered cod and chips was £3.99 on a special, a chippy would often be twice this for a similar portion size! Drinks are also reasonably priced, and the pub has a nice outdoor areas - good for sunny days.
Staff were friendly and overall I enjoyed the experience. Perhaps however, the decor could be updated and the general cleanliness of the premises could be unkept to a higher standard (sticky seats, poor toilets etc.)
S.
Great place to have a lovely meal and drink. Place is clean . Friendly staff. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast.
D. S.
Good breakfast as you would expect
J. L.
We had a great lunch here on a Monday afternoon. Broad St was really quiet and there was a little footfall but nothing too busy. Our party was near a great selection of books. I wasn't drinking much so I could sample the low alcohol products and non alcohol. They cater to everyone's tastes for drink. I'm not sure if the food is halal but the food we had was plentyful and came in a really timely manner. I really recommend this pub. I obviously can't comment on how it would be on a Friday or Saturday night.
A. S.
My review focuses only on breakfast, which I can say has always been perfect. I would eat it everyday if I could, although my schedule doesn’t allow me to, which is a great shame because it’s always hot and tastes, the hash browns are amazing and the sausages are better than all the competition. The prices is also a steal, the meal and the drink are next to nothing in comparison to the prices charges by other companies that run hotels and the like.
All in all, try the breakfast, you won’t regret it.
s. c.
I had to ask for table service, the staff kept ignoring me. Once my order was made the food runner was polite and efficient
T. S.
Food good but they dont so pies
L. &. H. M.
Usual spoons fare. No worse than any others I've been to. You get what you expect more or less every time
C. A. M.
I’m having breakfast here in the weekends. It’s close to my home and I like the place
h. n.
Absolutely beautiful curry staff was lovely thanks for the lovely food
D. E.
Only ever been there for an after 5 and in the middle of the day. Staff are friendly enough, the beer is reasonably priced and the food is the same. Don't expect the best of the best, and you will be fine. Decent size outside and inside so can usually always get a seat. I imagine it gets crazy busy in the evening, good place to go if you don't want all the fuss of more elaborate restaurants, and don't want the city centre price tag
P. E.
Good place for us to visit when in Birmingham, only once a year but head straight here.
Back again for my annual visit to Birmingham. Straight to the Figure of Eight everytime, 👍👀
M. D. F.
Friendly staff, not very clean, and extremely loud. Drinks are okay, app service is usually pretty slow here so recommended to go up to the bar and get it yourself. Bathrooms are as you would expect: Absolutely filthy. But overall, good spoons, great for then going across he street and into pop world. Bouncers show up really late, never had to show I.D.
J. S.
Visited here as a large group 20+. The bar staff were friendly and quick to serve all of us.
The food is pretty typical of a weatherspoons and came out in a timely manner. Tasted pretty good and no complaints from any of us.
Would visit again if in the area.
S. r.
Very friendly and helpful staff , hot food cold beer, couldn't ask for more .
I. T.
A normal what you pay for spoons. Good service.
k. 1.
My regular drinking place! Never disappoints!!
M. H.
We always stop here for a hearty breakfast before a day spent exploring the Museum and Christmas market. Unlimited refills on the hot drinks are a welcome addition. We usually have a Full English, which has always been a fantastic meal. This time we opted for mushroom Benedict (two poached eggs, on a toasted English muffin, with a flat mushroom, Hollandaise sauce and rocket). I must say it was well cooked, very hot and was well received by both of us.
If ever you're in Birmingham, always make this a part of your visit, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. We will be back again.
A. B.
Nice party and real ale place
P. H.
Not the best of the Wetherspoons pubs. Decent selection of beers though. Never seems very friendly in here, I've never felt welcome. Difficult to eat and drink if you are on your own, as you need to reserve a table first. The new app may help here, but not sure if you can order beer with it.
S. W.
Lovely friendly boozer. Good staff.
C. W.
Very nice place with good staff. Food really nice, I had the Steak and Kidney pudding, chips and peas with gravy, really tasty. Plenty of real ales to choose from as well as other beverages, wines and spirits. We sat in a booth with our cousins, six of us plus one second cousin so seven in all. We met up for a chinwag because Birmingham is the central hub for us all. Great place, quiet enough for a good talk and laugh with a great selection of food and drink to lubricate the chat. We had a lovely time.
J. S.
The app ordering seems to be a real issue here. 20 mins still no drink arriving and there's only about 15 people in the pub.
C. S.
Easy to knock Wetherspoons but as I'm in a nearby hotel this was an obvious choice. The beer is well kept and at £1.99 for a pint of locally brewed ale it's great value. The food was quick and tasty and also good value. There is a large outdoor area for those who want to use it. Probably a bit lively at weekends but on a Monday it is a nice place to sit and read the paper. I am impressed.
D. G.
Good vibes, nice beer garden, fast service. The staff are mostly nice and friendly and there's plenty of places to sit! I've found this place does not get as busy as other places in the city centre which is reassuring and makes me enjoy my time there! There's a corner with bookshelves with some books available to read if you wanna sit with a drink and have some alone time which is really useful! The beer garden is large and has plenty of spaces to sit, some places in the shade for those hot days and some out in the open with plenty of sunshine, it's surrounded by other buildings so it feels like a seperate area away from the busy city life
T. S.
Love this place. Full of character and always a good atmosphere. Can't wait for restrictions to go away😁💯🥳
M. L.
As good as any other spoons. No strong feelings either way, got chicken feast, half of it was edible and other half not so much. Beer wasn't too bad, better selection at the bar, the app doesn't include some temporary additions.
R. B.
On arrival the table needed a wipe over, we asked for this to be done and they came promptly. The group had fish and chips with green peas, prawns, and the steak and kidney pudding with chips; the food was very good, absolutely no complaints! However, I was concerned when I had to walk the length of the room with mugs of hot milk for the hot chocolate.
C. W.
Great value beer, and all other drinks.
M. T.
It's okay for what we wanted it for, a quick stop for food before going to the comedy club down the road. The foods always good and cheap at a weatherspoons and this place was the same. It was packed and full of people watching the rugby. Again I wouldn't complain for what we went there for.
j. b.
Friendly staff, quick service, nice beer garden.
k.
Always in different wetherspoons and this one's been the best so far. Ordered breakfast and it was on my table within 5 minutes. Service was very fast after that. Decent quality food and friendly staff as well
O. N.
Nice place, good selection of food, variety of beers - draft, local, world. No menu needed, you can order via wetherspoon app. Might be not the best place to watch football, but very good to gather with friends or colleagues for a pint or two. They have a couple of slot machines inside. There is also a beer garden. As far as I remember, they also serve lunch.
I. H.
It was so good I didn't want to leave.
M. C.
Good food but missed peas off both meals. Rectified after we had eaten half our meal.
C. H.
I visited on a weekday lunchtime for a couple of beers with a friend, was impressed with the quality of real ale that was on offer and also with the price, very competitive for a city pub. As with most whether spoons pubs comfortable and efficient but nothing too fancy, I'd recommend, serves food too.
J. B.
Good food at very reasonable prices. If you purchase certain food from the menu you can include a drink for half nothing which seems to be sold at off license prices anyway. If your on a budget this is the place to go. Staff are really helpful. Plenty of tables too
M. R.
Rather generic spoons, offers little in the way of design, dimly lit, and uninspiring, spoons prices are it's saving grace.
s. w.
One of the Wetherspoons branches which is great for good prices for real ale and craft beers from £2.25p a pint
K. W.
I met up with the girls and we went for a meal and drinks the meal you couldn't fault and we sat in the gardens and had a lovely time every body was friendly and staff very helpful. The beer garden was quite nice too I would rate this pub has 4 star
W. F.
Nice pub with a large garden but service is often unacceptably slow at busy times, waiting over an hour and a half for a pint is not good enough really
M. R.
Visited last day of lockdown for a coffee. Table service was quick and easy but then had to use a touch screen refill machine that wasn't cleaned between users.
m. C.
City centre Spoons, avoid weekends, when life get back to norn, on Broad street, gets the hen party whilst being surrounded by hotels.
Fine in the week.
A. W.
Average curry house. Service was slow and a little disorganised on our visit.
In fairness we were a party of 20, who arrived at short notice, however the waiters got some items wrong and there were long waits to fix this.
The group was spilt with four being on a table out of sight of the main group even though a table was available nearby.
Flavours from the spices were not infused in the meat, In my experience this happens when, depending on he dish, the meat is not marinated properly or is cooked and sealed separately from the sauce it is served in.
I was drinking water and most in my group had beer, I had to ask several times for the water although the beer was brought almost immediately, giving me the impression that they were more interested in the profits on the beer than the overall experience of the diners.
To say this place was recommended as one of the best in Birmingham, it fell short of even the average Indian restaurant in Bradford and did not meet my modest expectations.
My advice to the restaurant: Focus on your customers and reputation and be prepared to turn people away if you are caught out at short notice with a large group you are not geered up to deal with.

Visited yesterday 'steak day'. The sirloin was cooked perfectly. Everything was hot, couldn't fault the meal or the excellent ale. We visit here quite often. It's a walk from the Metro, with the ongoing roadworks but worth it. Staff are friendly and efficient as usual.
R. D.
Good food, great prices
S. L.
Nice pub decent food good service and a nice outdoor area
M. C.
Good value steaks meals. High standard of real ales.
W. F.
Excellent pub great food and service a bit nippy this morning but we cannot control the weather
A. B.
Went here for lunch and was able to be in and out within 40 minutes. The chef had a special offer on a mixed grill for £5.00 which was very good value for money. Having asked a staff member, they confirmed there was no horseradish to go with the steak.
M. L.
They serve a large variety of beers at good prices. You can also get some decent, rather cheap food served quickly. The place is large but crowded (Saturday night). However, you can still find some spots where it's not too packed and manage to get drinks quickly. I definitely recommend.
T. E.
You get what you expect from a Witherspoon's. Staff need to learn how to read as they were constantly using the door that was marked for entrance as an exit and vice versa which means the customers follow suit which hat with Birmingham being on a list of potential places to go back in to lockdown you would expect the staff to manage this better!
M. F.
Typical weatherspoons! Was busy but served relatively quickly by friendly staff. Good amount of seating outside. The usual menu and you can order from the app also to save time stood at the bar.
N. M.
Super fast service when using the wetherspoon app, staff were also very thoughtful. Food was delicious and there is a superb menu. Unfortunately, On a weekday lunchtime, this venue was unbearably noisy, even sitting by the door in what looked like the quieter area. As a hearing aid user it was impossible for me to have a conversation with my friend sitting beside me due to all the background noise.
D. D.
Breakfast whilst watching the rugby. Better than the average Spoons brekkie. Nice venue and no need to walk 3 floors for the toilet. Brilliant service from the staff.
F. M. (.
Ideal Weatherspoons for early morning breakfast on broad street. Ideal when staying at the hotels nearby and would rather not pay the extortionate charges for their breakfasts! We had a full English, scramble egg on toast, a bottomless tea and coffee for just over £8... can't go wrong!
J. W.
Great little pub with a excellent beer garden and the pub itself is actually massive. The drinks are cheap and it's a good place to go before you move elsewhere. You can also use a app to order your drinks.
G. G.
Great pub! Self serve unless you use their app for table service. Fish n chips were very good. Prices were more reasonable than some of the more touristy places.
C. J.
Busy spoons which, because of its location probably churns customers fast, and although the staff could be seen to working hard to clean up tables etc they were fighting a losing battle.
Smaller real ale range than expected, but the beer I had was excellent.
Smiley staff and good beer kept this pub at 3 stars despite messy tables everywhere. Don't reprimand the cleaner-uppers, they were hard at it.
W. M.
Usual Wetherspoon's fayre. Very busy pub.
J. J.
Mid day ...kids at school so ok.... veggie burger were Ace 10/10 ⭐ 👍 ...but previous day's onion rings though, seriously!..... evening...oh God lots of flies, in November!! perhaps living on the pre cooked onion rings in the kitchen? 🤔😁 the staff were lovely....but please, stop serving the under age kids alcohol !!!...and as for the pimps watching over them 🙄....watch Good Fellers or better still,. Taxi Driver.... get out your baseball bats !!
A. O.
Went in with kids and husband to meet friends and was greeted by one amazing bar tender he asked what we wanted and wated why we made up our minds sorted kids there drinks as they was upstairs. Came to ask us if kids were okay with the cutlery they had and we was outside and he came and told us our food was on the table his manner was amazing and would go back again the meal was fantastic thank you
A. B.
Nice outdoor space with some green plants around. Some needed watering. INSIDE Lots of choice of beers ale ..lots of different table which are well spaced out .
toilets ... no stairs ..!😊
P. C.
Great range of real ales as you would expect from a Wetherspoons especially the Plum Porter. Ordered 3 small plates ( Halloumi fries, Nachos with cheese and dips and barbequed pork ribs and onion rings) for £10 extremely good value as they were not small!! Excellent value for money and also wasnt too busy for early thursday evening so plenty of space in the comfy seats. Great when not too busy.
K. J.
Typical spoons so has your usual drink and food selection. It's a very big place and has outside seating as well so a great place for a drink for a group of you. Definitely worth going for an affordable pint especially compared to the much pricier places on broadstreet!
M. S.
Was here for lunch with the Wetherspoons Training. I can honestly say I haven't seen a unhappy face in the pub. We were a party of 15 but all the staff were smiling which is great to see.
Would definitely recommend this venue for food as it was all very well prepared and absolutely delicious.
Thanks all staff at The Figure Of Eight.
W. F.
Nice pub with a large garden but service is often unacceptably slow at busy times, waiting over an hour and a half for a pint is not good enough really
P. G.
Visited with a group on the 30th August for a family meal. The food was excellent (ordered fish and chips and the batter coating was light and crispy) and the waitress was very kind and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend!
R. J.
I like it here. Big enough so plenty of space to social distance & nice staff. Beer gardens help as well definitely be back
R. S.
Figure of Eight in Broad St. As you'd expect for a wetherspoons. Large amount of seating and a rear garden/smoking area. Ground floor toilets too.
J. P.
Very friendly and do lovely breakfast
E. K.
Busy and noisy here, but beer is cheap, sport/ rugby 🏉 on and staff very friendly.
M. D.
Nice bar to go to in Birmingham
M. W.
Food and drink are reasonably priced, compared to what’s around.
G. L.
The staff were so good considering they were working in a storm, lovely and professional and I hope they were getting double time for the bank holiday :)
V.
Great place to pop in for lunch! Called into here on a Friday lunchtime. Tends to be populated by the more mature punter! But this takes nothing away from the service at this establishment. Eight of us called in for lunch and a pint, and I managed to secure gammon, egg & chips with a cup of tea and a pint of lager for just shy of £9! Can't say fairer than that! The speed at which they turnaround your order is also quite reasonable, so you could call in for a weekday work lunch if you wanted. Very friendly bar staff indeed - highly recommended. (See my uploaded photo of my gammon, egg & chips).
M. W.
We have staying in Birmingham for the last
For days we were looking for somewhere to
Go and have some breakfast we came across
The figure of eight which did breakfasts
So we when inside and tryed the breakfast
It very and tasty good value for money
One thing wrong is that lift not working
And my flat mate had to use the stairs
With his poor mobility he finds it hard
To do stairs
This was the only wrong
F. W.
A very good breakfast cooked nice and hot plates and cutlery clean. Staff very presented and polite. Makes you want to come back again.
L. H.
Nice prices, truly well-designed place. Many people, maybe a bit noisy and busy, we could hardly find a seat, but hey, it's a big bar, no doubt about that. Liked it, overall, and would not be hesitant to go there again!
n. m.
Allways liked this pub
J. N.
Typical weatherspoons
Good range of food and drinks
Pleasing customer service
Easily accessible
Covid regulations followed diligently
Easily accessiblr
S. L.
Easy to buy Friday meal. Pizza delicious and fresh. The Madras curry was on special so an absolute bargain. Had my first date here with my husband 20 years ago and it still has the same vibe about it 😉
G. L.
It's a wetherspoons, staff are lovely it's cosy
H. J.
Cheap as chips, got a bottle of sparkling chardonnay for £11 was really nice.
T. L.
Great afternoon with my 3 boys, brother & fellow Bluenoses celebrating my birthday weekend
v. z.
I take my son he loves the pizza's and his j20 ,I like the wine
r. b.
Another city spoons, good drinks and meals
J. P.
When in Birmingham, I always find this Wetherspoon pub a welcome place to call in and enjoy good food at prices easy on the wallet. Spacious, interior layout with cosy nooks aimed at those looking for an intimate rendezvous plus, in warmer weather, there's a garden outdoor eating area at the back. Very wide choice of drinks and food with friendly staff to make the place worth returning to time and again.
V. H.
Good pricing.. No bad smelling.. Food only meat. Selection of beer ok. Just plenty of car parks nearby in the street. Staff is nice. Not really a place for a good dinner.. But good for a quick snack and drinking with friends.
H.
Poped in here for the first time whilst visiting brum for pre concert drink & Food . I went for the plain & Simple Steak & Kidney pudding meal with chips & peas . The Pud was the Home cooked from scratch type not your usual mass produced supermarket type & the Gravy was top notch too ( reminded me of miller & carters beef dripping Gravy )
We ordered via the weather spoons mobile app and the food didn't take long to arrive the staff seemed very attentive , cheerful , freindly & professional
Have been to a few Wetherspoon pubs in my time & despite the Raucous saturday crowd here i would definitely return here again
Oh the beer was spot on too 🍺
R. S.
Figure of Eight in Broad St. As you'd expect for a wetherspoons. Large amount of seating and a rear garden/smoking area. Ground floor toilets too.
N. E.
A very average city centre Wetherspoons. Dreadful decor & atmosphere, Friday evening, full of very young, very noisy kids.
However the staff were excellent & the food very agreeable. Not somewhere I'd recommend, if like me, you're over 25.
L. V.
People watching here was amazing!!!
A. K.
My star amazing up know when seen been there So many times love the staff the service their understand excellent. Especially the even staff like there is a polish guy omg love him. Great people just thank you for always being so close n so convient always time for a nice relaxing drink after finishing a shift at 11 pm. Thank you yours Agnieszka
j. b.
Nice place for cheap food and drinks
J. E.
Good standard with Wetherspoon's meal presented to its usual reliable standard friendly staff and drinks in our visit inclusive are very competitively priced.
We are regular users of Wetherspoon's great reliable meals and the Figure of Eight is well located in Birminghams Broad Street - would recommend
J. M.
The usual Wetherspoons fayre. Serving food and drink to society's rich tapestry of customers 😉Great breakfast
A. Y.
It was my first time in an english pub so I may not be objective.
So we had dinner there a tuesday around 7/8pm, there was already a lot of people in there.
Waiting at the bar was a bit time consuming 'cause of the high number of customers and low number of bartenders (at most 3).
Anyway, we didn't wait a lot to have our meals.
And they were good, not awesome or fantastic, but good, and for the price we paid it worth it.
The atmosphere inside was nice, different types of people in a setting of classic british bar.
We had a pleasant moment, and that's all that matters.
At least try it if you come to Birmingham.
(And sorry for my bad english, I'm just a french tourist.)
G. G.
Good service and friendly staff got served very quick
G. B.
Its a Wetherspoon's pub on Broad St Birmingham. Great range of good food and cheap drinks compared with other places in the vacinity. Large outdoor area at the rear too. Good place to meet and eat or chat with friends
s. m.
Always excellent servicing in wetherspoons
B. C.
Usally I only go in to have a big breakfast which always nice good value for money I haven't been in the afternoon or evenings for drinks for a long time but friends always say it's good and can be busy Friday & Saturday but yeah it's okay.
R. J.
I like it here. Big enough so plenty of space to social distance & nice staff. Beer gardens help as well definitely be back
S. S.
Good value breakfast, fast service, bottomless drinks
A. M.
Good beers, average TV position for sports...
G. E.
Was just OK food was average which is expected of wetherspoons staff wer friendly. Place was a bit dirty and staff in shorts etc not a good luck but given its location an absolutely fine place to have some food and a beer.
A. E.
It's a wetherspoons so you know what you're getting, but a big outside area
R. B.
Thou the, staff were very friendly still this time. I felt if it was meant to be curry night they should still have all in stick even at 7.30 in evening. And what I had was nice but felt it was just been sitting for while onion bajis were burnt not the sane has my first visit
H. P.
Customer service was pretty poor today, post covid, which is fair enough, no-one knows what's going on. Looks like they had the cheap staff in today, lack of training to be fit to work in the hospitality industry!
V. A.
It's a typical Wetherspoon's pub, but for some reason I preffer this one over the other ones. It also has a place at the back with tables outside. It's very good when it's warm, because it feels nice to eat and have a drink in the sun.
M. O.
I absolutely love it, come here sometimes. The food is wonderful and filling and the atmosphere is absolutely incredible. Would definitely reccomend for dinner or family outing. 5 stars.
J. M. B.
The food is cheap and comes very quickly. Usually just decent. Seldom good or bad. A useful place to grab a quick, cheap meal or drink. O'Neills, a few doors down, serves slightly better food at a slightly higher price and with a much longer wait. I'd recommend O'Neills instead if you can spare the time.
A.
Considering I usually end up here for after work drinks on a Friday, the service is pretty quick due to the busy bar staff.
It's not glamorous, it's whetherspoons! But there's a large outdoor smoking area at the back with patio heaters for the winter. Bonus points for having Blue Moon on tap!
M. G.
They serve a great pint of beer from a local brewery called Silhill Brewery
J. H.
Friendly and polite staff, not busy for a Friday evening, maybe due to metro work down broad street, easily got a table, but had to ask for it to be cleared, as staff on the floor seemed scarce compared to behind bar.
A. H.
A good Wetherspoons bar, good friendly and helpful staff.
Food good, usual 'spoons quality, quick service.
You can even order and pay from your table using the APP!
N. P. (.
Good selection of beers
I. T.
Really helpful staff. Range of ales and my steak meal was spot on. Barman advised with the new app and barwoman was jolly whilst serving me. The team leader Callum was personable, helpful and professional. Ensuring my meal was ok and fetched additional condiments to save me leaving my food. He served many people and be always had a smile and passing greeting whilst doing so. I watched him clear a table and he hygenically sprayed the whole table and not missing bits like i see at many other Wetherspoons. Well done made people feel good.
Tim Martin has created and developed a social community for the people.
J. H.
One of the better wetherspoon in the city, generally a bit quieter in the day due to its location. Decent beer garden with some cover. Everyone should eat a wetherspoons breakfast at least once? Shouldn't they?
R. J.
Great value for money, great location. Lovely beer garden, superb menu and delicious food. Friendly atmosphere at all times of day.
R. B.
Stunning bar and great atmosphere however, at its busiest expect to wait 20 mins to get served as on a couple of occasions bar staff bypass you at the bar.
Perhaps one or two more staff at peak times would help improve that.
A. S.
Went here for breakfast. Service and food were great, and very good value. The pub was fairly busy which is always a good sign. The food arrived quickly and on hot plates.
M. G.
I have been here before on many occasions taking the kids for breakfast. But this time I think it will be the last time I would take my children in. This is not through the fault of the pub but on this occasion a few customers were too loud and the language that came out with was quite unacceptable. The pub itself and food was/is alright.
J. H.
Good selection of ales in decent condition. Foid is typical Wetherspoons fare - cheap and cheerful. Service can be slow especially at busy times.
T. H.
A standard Spoons really. The beer is always good and it's super close to the Arena for shows, and a short walk from the O2 Academy, so it's perfect for a pit stop before going to a gig!
C. E.
Great range of good, well kept, well priced beers. Nice enough place to sit and drink them, budget priced food served quickly. Nice enough to come back another time!
K. D.
Very rude staff. Food is terrible. But has a good choice of beer. There is a really nice garden at the back with a lot of seats. I'm sad to say this but this is probably the best beer garden on Broad street.
c. m.
tasty food, will visit again
T. S.
A great bar to go to in groups or even by yourself after a hard days work. Being a weatherspoons drink and food are cheap. Can get pretty busy on weekends though. This place is not suitable for families.
l. B.
Needs a deep clean carpet stinks
L. G.
guys, a homeless guy stole my wallet and only because of one guy working at the bar I still have it. He was insane. Thank you sooooo much. Nice pub, nice people. Just drink it :)
S. “. M.
Great app which is easy to use. Happy staff.
M. L.
Table service quick food hot friendly staff
p. k.
Food fabulous a pity they don't accept legal tender as a tourist found I this strange.. Didn't see any sign any where in premises,, Ordered a meal it cost 30 odd pound tender a fifty pounds note to they don't accept them??? As a tourist I was Embarrassed
T. P.
This place has got busier then ever it seems the last time I went. Still a great atmosphere. Great place to start a night out in Birmingham. Cheap and cheerful.
J. R.
It's a wetherspoons and the chain is known for being cheap and cheerful. This branch fits that mould. It's a bit unclean, a bit too dark inside but the drinks are cheap and plentiful and the staff are friendly
N. M.
Great location for a cheap drink on broadstreet, very large and weatherspoon app is always a delight. Food menu was quite limited but had some very good chefs special offer.
C. H.
Great range of beers. A big pub so lots of places to sit. An amazing array on the food menu on offer.
Only down side it's a weatherspoons wh8ch is owned by Mr Brexit
H. M.
Delicious food nice and Hot and Great value for money
J. S.
What's not to love about a Weatherspoons? Cheap, good quality food. Served FAST! Great for a quick bite, pre-drinks or a decent night out!
S. M.
Always excellent food and fast service using the Wetherspoons app to get food and drinks bought to the table. Means no queuing or fuss. Always a friendly atmosphere and is always the first place we visit when we get to Birmingham
D. S.
Very good value pub for a drink + burger. Fish and chips not bad too.
P.s keep your receipt as sometimes food don't arrive!
S. S.
Great place to start off your night in Birmingham because of the cheap drinks, decent food and helpful staff.
It is beginning to show its age a bit now but still very nice.
M. H. (.
Classic wetherspoons experience. Loads of seats, large bar with plenty of choice, big menu with typical pub grub cooked to a decent standard. Can be very crowded at peak times.
C. O.
Panini was just about warm but was very tasty, but the accompanying chips were cold.
Only two people serving behind the bar and it was very very busy being lunch time
s. H.
One of the best wetherspoons in Birmingham. Plenty of seating available. However, table service speed could be improved compared to other wetherspoons in the area.
M. S.
A huge pub on broad street that has plenty of tables and chairs to relax at. A good choice of drinks at good prices aswell as food. It can get very busy with all sorts of partys going on. Very entertaining.
M. W.
Food and drink are reasonably priced, compared to what’s around.
M. J.
even though even I I've been at the figure eight many times and it's a nice pub to go to I was very unimpressed when I ordered my drinks and seeing the barman cleaning dirty glasses under the sink for a couple of seconds then coming out and pouring beer into them I thought that was very unhygienic you wash glasses properly cos you don't know what the other person has got and what you can catch otherwise the place is a nice place to go to
O. D.
Great place to be. Good food, beer and gin I tasted so far. Poor on cleanliness and table service though.
a. o.
Brilliant night out drinks was nice as Well as the price food was very hot and nice and a all round friendly atmosphere will definitely be revisiting there for second and very nice bar staff fast at serving
A. C.
Wetherspoons always do a great breakfast and that was the reason for my visit. They've added more vegetarian options too. You can't beat a Wetherspoons breakfast for taste and value.
L. O.
This is a weatherspoons pub but does get very busy but it serves food till 23.00pm at night. It has wifi for those who like using the Internet. Food is very reasonable and I enjoyed my food
N. L.
I at figure of eight as a door supervisor it's a good pub.
J. B.
A nice Wetherspoon pub situated in Broad Street with a lovely beer garden at the rear. The garden gets most of the sun during the day and traffic noise is so minimal that you forget that you are in the centre of a large city.
S. S.
Great Breakfast! Forget the £15 hotel breakfast, walk for a few minutes to here and pick up a Full Vegi Breakfast for £3.50. I highly recommend this for a cheap travel meal!
J. S.
Nice relaxed place to go with friends and family with very good food menu and many drink to choose from also friendly bar staff who are very helpful
W.
Great location, awful service. Waited 20 minutes with 8 bar staff just walking past ignoring us. I don't know what they were doing as there were dirty glasses and plates everywhere too...
L. T.
Great quality food at such a reasonable price. A variety of food and drinks including dessert. The staff are really friendly, food is always served ontime.
J. D.
Great place for being in a city. It has cheap drink prices and cheap breakfast. Big plus is they do gluten free breakfast and have other options for gluten free and dairy free.
R. S.
Nearest Wetherspoons to the ICC and Birmingham arena. Prefer the brasshouse as it's nearer, easier to get served and only a small premium over spoons prices. Good range of ales, as always, but long queues on gig nights and the staff don't have the greatest skills in recognising who's queuing (basically wave your note the most vigorously and you're in!)
J. k.
...I mean I had a pint of Guinness and perfectly cooked full English breakfast at 10 am for about 7 quid.. what can i say..Thumbs right up.. 👍♠️
@globalfoodquest
S. S.
Good for a 'Spoons! Nice breakfast with crispy bacon, fair range of beers in food condition. Not too noisy.
E. B.
Had a pint and burger 🍔 meal deal here, beer great but burger drier than the Sahara, sorry 🙏 chef, good beer and nice interior made up for the disssspointing burger
P. B.
very busy wetherspoons not as rough as square peg for whatever reason, unless there is a local football match on blues villa or baggies then can get very loud (very loud) prices reflect 'spoons city centre structure so small increases on most branches, great value for drink if you want cheap food go to the Trocadero instead or if its a weekday try beirkellar on broad st great deals
J. D.
Very busy when visited this pub however bar staff were still speedy and friendly, not much of a wait at all
R. C.
Cheep drinks quiet so you can have a conversation without shouting. Great for pre drinks before hitting the rest of Broad st
C. “. Ș.
Going there often we really like the back garden (terrace) the food is pretty good at all the times only one mention for the steak as I never got it as I've ordered.
B. S.
Great pub for drinks! Food is also not bad at all. The drinks are so cheap considering it is in the middle of broad street. Its a must place for pre-drinks at the least
R. B.
Fantastic service, food & price s
B. H.
Nice clean pub,i felt very relaxed, and really good 2 pints of oakham jhb.enjoyed my visit after a few years, wont leave it so long.🤗
P. G.
Classic spoons, good atmosphere. Traditional pub decor. Staff friendly and helpful. Food arrived quick.
J. G.
Nice friendly staff drinks and food great
M. S.
All ways busy... clean and well run good beer... most of the time the staff are friendly...food ok ...go and have a look
G. S.
Great pub and atmosphere affordable prices. Service is slow but it was a busy Saturday night so to be expected.
W. R.
Good food, nice toilets, doesn't feel run down. Food and drinks come quickly. Overall good experience.
E. T.
Really cheap drinks. The food is ok, nothing special but real quick service. However the cleaning and hygiene is poor.
S. M.
It's OK. Busy town centre pub, great selection of food and drink. Not really my sort of thing, but it seems to do well.
D.
Regular spoons experience. You make the mistake of telling your friends what your table number is. They send you 3 shots of sambuca, cereal, chicken strips, juice and a Guinness within 10 minutes.
Pray that I make my flight
B. B.
nice busy spoons right on the middle of broad street, great place to start ur night (only gave it 4 stars tho cos the solomon cutler is less than 5 minutes down the road and is the better of the 2 spoons)
M. W.
Generally pretty nice
j. h.
It's a spoons. Great for meeting up and always has a good drinks selection. Food is typical of the chain.
C. G.
Food was nice, great value, does what it said on the tin, not the cleanest table, but pleasant enough.
h. t.
Start off to a great night
M. D.
Nice bar to go to in Birmingham
J. P.
The staff were friendly and served us fast. It wasn't overly busy. And it was clean and looked after. Just your standard Wetherspoons.
M.
Good service good food but always seems like the staff can't be bothered to be there and tables having glasses on them as I aravied and as I was leaving.
B. C.
Good outdoor space at the rear, well managed in current environment, efficient service
T. (.
Visited on a Tuesday around 1pm. Had lunch. Service and food excellent. Pub not too busy so had a relaxed meal and drink.
P. A.
Good food, friendly staff. Quite busy so it can sometimes be hard to get a free table soon.
K. M.
Good value for money
A. M.
Get what you expect.......efficient staff who know the menus for food and drink and very polite
S. F.

j. r.
Really good service, welcoming staff, good breakfast and great value. Highly recommend this place on Broad Street!!
N. T.
Great pub, great location and good prices
K. R.
City centre pub with beer garden. As with all Wetherspoons pubs the choice of ales and food is better than average. Service can be a hit and miss.
j. j.
Everything is overpriced the food is quite small for the price you pay. But other than that the beer is fine and it's a good atmosphere.
A. W.
It's a big Spoons
J. K.
Spoons is spoons. Get what you expect.
Was surprised, I didn't have a 5 mile flight of stairs to navigate to use the toilet though. 5 stars for that!
T.
Good food, but service was bad, staff didn't seem to want to be there and got simple orders wrong.
G. S.
Busy but decent Spoons
M. T.
I visited this pub as the prices for food and drink are very reasonable for most customers pockets. It has a nice vibe and great meeting place before you move onto the rest of your journey in around Birmingham.
L. E.
Very busy and drinks great, a good place to start. My steak was terrible but got refunded with an apology, my husbands gammon was delious.
L. C.
Fantastic very quick great service 👍😊
J. S. T.
Really nice atmosphere....a nice place for you to meet friend and work colleagues...service is slow....not enough staff to cope with customers so you end up waiting a long time to get served.
j. L.
Food was nice they asked if every think was OK and very friendly staff quick serving food and drinks wide range of food selection good value for money
A. E.
The turkey dinner superb and the atmosphere lovely all value for money thank you see again merry Xmas cheers 👍🍗😀🍺

R. F.
Decent Guinness, service was quick and pleasant and we managed to get a table. Very good for a Friday night.
D. B.
Good prices for food and drink
N. P.
Great breakfast after a heavy night in Birmingham. We stopped in the Jurys Inn but prefer breakfast at the figure of 8
P. H.
Vary friendly good place to have get together prices very good

Food was served quickly plenty of tables and seats tables kept clean

Nice range of cheap ales but service a little slow although was a Saturday evening. Plenty of room for big groups like I was in
D. R.
Friendly staff, well thought out covid plan. Table service was very fast.
J. G.
It a Wetherspoon house but one if the better ones. Alway eat here when in brum. Order via the app drinks 2 mins food about 8 to 10.
T. (.
Visited on a Tuesday around 1pm. Had lunch. Service and food excellent. Pub not too busy so had a relaxed meal and drink.

Good selection of ales in decent condition. Foid is typical Wetherspoons fare - cheap and cheerful. Service can be slow especially at busy times.
A. M.
It's a Weatherspoons, need I say anymore. You will know what you are getting if you go to any weatherspoons
D. H.
Lovely breakfast for the price
G. S.
Great pub and atmosphere affordable prices. Service is slow but it was a busy Saturday night so to be expected.

A great meal and a lovely warm pub, after a cold walk.

Average curry house. Service was slow and a little disorganised on our visit.
In fairness we were a party of 20, who arrived at short notice, however the waiters got some items wrong and there were long waits to fix this. …

Really cheap drinks. The food is ok, nothing special but real quick service. However the cleaning and hygiene is poor.

Great Breakfast! Forget the £15 hotel breakfast, walk for a few minutes to here and pick up a Full Vegi Breakfast for £3.50. I highly recommend this for a cheap travel meal!

Excellent - quick service and the draught wine (the Merlot) was better than that at the Briar Rose

Not the best of the Wetherspoons pubs. Decent selection of beers though. Never seems very friendly in here, I've never felt welcome. Difficult to eat and drink if you are on your own, as you need to reserve a table first. The new app may help here, but not sure if you can order beer with it.

Nice range of cheap ales but service a little slow although was a Saturday evening. Plenty of room for big groups like I was in

Had a pint and burger 🍔 meal deal here, beer great but burger drier than the Sahara, sorry 🙏 chef, good beer and nice interior made up for the disssspointing burger

Great value for money. Best beer garden on Broad Street. Service can be a little bit slow sometimes.

Card machines didn't work, but food was good seems like a busy spot drinks were cheap

Great place to have late night drinks, however, the bartanders seem to serve "locals" first even though I was in line first (it happened twice otherwise I wouldn't have mention it).

Ordered on the app, food took longer than expected, and the mains appeared before the starters. The food was not up to the usual standard expected in a weathers points.

Good price. Fab drinks. Wish sometimes there was less ice. Fabulous nonetheless. We ♡ Spoons 💕💕💕💕

Typical Wetherspoon's pub, you know what you're going to get- decent food for decent prices. Plus, here there's an outdoor area which is nice when the weather's good.

Order using the App food came before the drinks - which meant I had to go to the bar to ask and they did it. Food was good.
