Great pub to unwind at after work for a few drinks and grub. Great value for money and the food is second to none. Easily best pub food going, the burgers are something else, and the staff are friendly too 🤙

Just been for a meal today as a group of 8. Food was really good quality. Didn't take too long to come. Staff were really friendly. Reasonably priced. Would definitely come back again.

I went to the hind last night and the atmosphere was brilliant. We had food and it’s was delicious and staff were very helpful. I would recommend the pub to anyone. I am looking forward to going again. 😀

I am very picky when it comes to food (eating out) My wife would say "Bit of a Victor Meldrew" I like my food to be cooked correctly no excuses. I have no problem waiting for my meal, just get it right first time. I can honestly say, I have not had a bad meal, nothing to complain about after FIVE VISITS. Hot-food everything cooked to perfection, I take my hat off to the chef, she's consistent each & everytime. Taking pride in what she sends out off the kitchen. The bar staff are welcoming & friendly as is the manager. Oh, let's not forget there is a beer garden. You won't be disappointed, 9/10

I only went to charge my car whilst I was in the area. Pub was not open but lived to have gone in for a drink whilst I waited. Car charger worked great though.

Treated my friend to lunch yesterday here,first impressions on entering was how dark it was,poor light fittings we found a table close to a window as the time went by and it brightened up outside.However the food we ordered was outstanding,we both had a light meal of BBQ baguette (warm) salad & chips it was so delicious, we'll definitely be returning thank you

Met friends on a cold Tuesday lunchtime. It was warm, dark and cosy, like a good old fashioned pub. They make the best hot chocolates here, and we were just meeting to swap presents so had a few portions of chips to pick at. Felt very relaxed. Disabled toilet is nice and big and well lit. Plenty of room to turn a wheelchair around safely and use sink and dryer. Disabled parking food, right by side entrance. Would recommend

Really nice little pub, considering I've lived in Great Barr for my most of my life.....I never used this place. Now we're here every Thursday for a Quiz Night with my parents & we also come here maybe the odd night in between. Always in the Lounge, very friendly yoy don't feel that people stare at you all the time, very relaxed atmosphere & the bar staff are all really friendly & chatty.

The referb is quality , great staff , funny gaffer lol well now its changed again Tony has left and tbh the new gaffer is friendly but after this pub being my local for many years but not for the last few , ive spent the afternoon in there today the beer was top grade beautifull pint , my only concern is there was only five of us in the bar alll afternoon WHY? Ive spent sunday afternoons in that bar in years past where u wud struggle to find a standing place , let alone a seat , les hope it picks up as its a real nice pub

As local pubs go in Great Barr, this one is family friendly, nice relaxed atmosphere (we have only been in the lounge) good selection of beers, friendly staff

Vegan option for the Xmas roast. Nice selection of drinks, sad there was an alcohol free cider. Staff were very friendly. Place was very clean smelt good.... No "pub" smell. Only downfall is all the patrons we're smoking just outside the doorway meaning you were forced to walk through a cloud of smoke to get in an out... But that not the golden hinds fault.

My family and I visited on Christmas day for a drink before lunch. It was very busy and rightly so. The bar staff were attentive and polite, lounge area was clean and tidy, there was a good atmosphere and a good day was had by all.

Good quality food. Lovely waitresses and barman tony. Atmosphere i loved it. Just a few issues not major the potatoe skins a bit bland cheese didnt taste like cheese but was still good. And the sour cream not good defo need to change it. The banofee pie not sweet which i thought was a good idea. In all a good old fashioned pub ill defo be coming all the time dont let my issues put anyone off i loved the place staff atmosphere the pub is clean and bright and so welcoming. Also want to add the good deals they have to and food is priced at a good reasonable rate

Nice enough boozer. Haven't been in there for years. Clean Good selection of beers. I had moretti. £3.70 pint. Decent pint. Not a bad price.

Meal and service was good. Menu a bit confusing as the offers on are not mentioned to you before you pay meaning you could be paying the same amount but mor getting the deal offered. Staff serving should tell customers before they pay. But all in all God food and service.

Very standard pub always busy with regular clientele. Not worth going out of your way to visit for drinks, food or atmosphere. Apparently it's undergone a refurb recently but apart from a Christmas tree in the corner, couldn't see much else....
