Reviews of Nortons Digbeth
J. R.
Good place, friendly staff, excellent pint of Guinness and they even out on some real ale for me which was very kind. I think the food was good but I was too tipsy to tell at the end of the session. It got a lot busier than my photos would suggest. Great supporters of Forward in Unity mural on the back wall. Quickly becoming a Digbeth landmark.

Best pint of Guinness in Birmingham. Great craic, always have great live music on & the pizzas are great value, also the only place to get the fine Japanese beer on draught that is Kirin Ichiban anywhere! Sláinte

Unfortunately we weren't there long enough as my wife cut her foot, leading to loss of blood, however, a massive thank you to the staff and management, also to the off duty nurses that came to her assistance while we waited for the paramedics. We will go again, this time without the drama. The place has a great atmosphere. Thanks again guys...

Place was empty on a Saturday night. Had 8 men in there and no ladies until we arrived. Weird vibe, not at all threatening, just weird. Have heard good things about it, but we didn't experience that! Ah well, won't stop me going back, think we just hit it on a bad night.

Been to Nortons three times in the past month for various get togethers. Great space for having a few pints and a bit of a boogey when they have live acts on. Last night I turned up excited to grab one of the amazing Pizzas but was told they'd stopped serving food... It was only half 8! So that was a disappointment... Can only assume that they'd been very popular! The Guinness is absolute cream and the service at the bar is quick and friendly. Look forward to more nights there (and hopefully more Pizza)

Visited Nortons a few weeks ago at the end of a night out. Atmosphere was great and the live band was really good. Definitely a place to be to sit outside once the weather warms up.

First time there tonight. Definitely found my new drinking spot. What a cracking place. From atmosphere to drink to food to entertainment. Really can't go wrong

I can't recommend this place highly enough the staff are brilliant, the owner is delightful. It has live music, all the sport you could want and fantastic food. I liked it so much I even had a birthday party in the back room with a mechanical bull. It has to be said it is the best pint of Guinness I have sampled in Birmingham. The beer garden is the best in the area.

Funny old world, in the 1950s this was my playground..my uncle lived where their garden is! Anyway I went there to listen/experience a particular band and they didn't dissapoint... they were excellent. The bar staff worked valliantly. The place is a bit loud for me .....but I am old. Overall I can see the appeal of the place. I loved some of the brummie /Irish jokes around the the place. They also served food so that's a bonus.

A great bar, great service, great atmosphere.
The bar stff were capable and attentive, never had to wait long to be served or acknowledged...
Comfortable front bar
Cosy small bar
Sizeable rear bar for bigger entertainment
Enormous outdoor seating area
Looking forward to our next visit

Nice bar, friendly barstaff, just a bit expensive so make sure you have a good wedge...a sign of the times for the city centre I guess...not a criticism, it is what it is...the ground rents for businesses in the Digbeth area must be high, as it is prime real estate, this therefore leads to higher costs and prices...on the whole a nice venue...

I had a great time at Nortons over the weekend. Great beer garden, amazing live music & atmosphere. Also phenomenal pizza. We tried a few flavours and the cajun chicken pizza was a stand out for me! So many yummy flavours on a crispy base perfect with a Camden hells larger!
M. C.
It was quiet when we went but I've heard it's fantastic @ the weekend with live bands.
J. M.
Good fun. Loud live music. Fast service despite the huge venue and large numbers. Covid passport required. Lovely Guinness. Friendly staff and large smoking area with massive screen. I liked it!
A. H.
Nortons as a venue is brilliant. This was our first visited to see the wonderful Ricky Cool and the In Crowd having travelled up from Bristol. A lovely greeting at the door we were soon in and seated at a table with a good view of the stage. A great range of beers and largers so plenty of choice there and the 'mini Guinness' are a must even if you only tried once! We also had their Pizza to eat which were excellent. A fabulous atmosphere with loads of relaxed, great humoured youngsters (we were by far the oldest punters in there) lots of dancing and so a great night was had by all. Can't recommend this place enough!

I didn't even know this place existed until somebody suggested it. Great Guinness.
It deceives you when you walk in. You go out the back at you've another room and stage. They've an outside area as well. They also rent out the back room if you enquire.
C. S.
Great bar, great atmosphere. Some of the Bar staff could be a little happier. Had one guy serve us our first round, that was so miserable and unwelcoming we almost left after the 1st drink. However the place itself was great, great music and again a great atmosphere, so we stayed till the end. The door staff were a great craic, happy and welcoming. The bar staff should take lessons from their greeting skills. Look forward to many more drinks there in the near future. 🍻

Wonderful night celebrating my 2 dons Bithday, staff & management went out of there way to make sure we all had a fantastic night.
M. Y.
Excellent Guinness good staff. plenty of outside seating. Will return.
D. M.
Best venue in Birmingham by a country mile; phenomenal staff, range and value. Killer music and one of the few places left where you can jump up and move! 11/10 all day long.
l. m.
Spent a pleasant few hours here surrounded by happy friendly people , bar staff and good music xx
K. W.
Good outdoors area and a decent amount of indoor seats. Clean toilets. However... very expensive been as it's down a side st in Digbeth. Big variety of ciders and lagers but if you want your usual Carling, Stella or Carlsburg then this isn't the place for you.
S. B.
Nice friendly bar. Great big screens to watch sport.
J. E.
Came here for the first time the night the pubs closed in 2020 and was really taken with the friendliness of the staff as well as the chic, played-down style of the place. Authentically Irish, with a huge capacity for customers now they've got a covered open-air space in addition to a huge back room. Great beers always on tap, from standard fare lagers, a few rarer tipples as well as some bits made in Birmingham. (Pours the best pint in Guinness in town, hands down!)
If you want to support a local business run by some top-notch folk, make sure your next one is Nortons.

Another great pub/bar/live music find in Digbeth, been a couple of times when they have had live music, good atmosphere , great selection of drinks at the bar and staff always helpful. Will visit again and also recommend to others.

Fantastic social distancing measures in place. Great vibe and staff who are attentive. Inside and outside seating areas. Fresh pizza with amazing flavours available. Live music as well in the evening. Try the fries with curry sauce... Worth the calories.
