Reviews of Queen's Arms
T. A.
Grade 11 listed Corner pub. Good old fashioned L shap bar.6 hand pulls. Small rear beer garden.
J. R.
Fantastic environment, reasonably priced drinks. Bar staff were all on the ball, and the pub quiz host had a great personality for it. Would definitely come again!
D. J.
A proper old fashioned pub on the route from town to the Jewellery Quarter. The pub offers an excellent range of beers at reasonable prices, the ambience is friendly and welcoming.
A. K.
Super, traditional pub with a fine selection of well kept real ales. Great atmosphere with a central bar and engaging and welcoming staff. Worth seeking out this historic gem!
S. K.
Visited last night with friends, we were staying around the corner as visiting the city for a concert.
The Christmas Market was on meaning everywhere was busy. The staff and atmosphere of the pub was great, would definitely revisit when back in Brum.
D. I.
Never been in here before but if we come to Birmingham we shall come here again . Great drinks ... fab music and fab atmosphere...
F. T.
Intimate, cosy pub with a private courtyard area with seating for 15-20 people. Games available on request. Drinks are reasonably priced and the service was good.

Queen Arms Newhall St B31SW: My Experience is as follows.
Queens Arms is on Newhall St situated on the corner and opposite 141 Newhall St a few yards away from the BT Tower in City Center of Birmingham .
Stepping inside one is Greeted by Highly Professionally Trained - very polite and friendly Bar Staff. On the Bar Stand - real ale is Served. There are 5 tall traditional - Stylishly Outstanding Majestic - row of Sliver Beer Dispensing Pumps Making it A Central focal point. ( See Photos ) 5 Stars
It’s a very clean pub with Combination of bottle green and wood seating area; Big Gold Mirrors and a fire place go hand in hand for decoration. It’s a lovely & a Beautiful very tranquil place.
Queen‘S Arms is painted in traditional Brick-red / Burgundy & Cream colours. Also there Is a seating area outside comprised of Big Original Oak Beer Barrels with Bar Stools which is ideal for enjoying Food & Drinks on a Sunny day in the Fresh air and see the traffic / people go by.
Food is on the Menu certain days of the Week ( see Menu) and variety’s of Board Games on a stand anyone can access.
All in All definitely a place to visit !
S. I.
It is not busy at all. You would like if you love drinking cask ale. There are some funny table games as well. The people that are working there are nice.
l. m.
Great old Birmingham pub good selection of lagers and gins great bar snacks loved the book case and games shelf just adds a bit of fun friendly bar staff definitely go back
E. W.
Great old school pub with fantastic staff! Sam was especially fun and welcoming!!!
Great smoking area!
R. D.
Wonderful pub, very traditional and very friendly and courteous staff. Sat outside and watched the world going by. Explained to the Mrs that we were sat directly opposite the, listed, Birmingham Assay building - riveting she commented as I enjoyed my cold lager.
M. T.
Good pub, not too loud, decent food and prices
E. L.
Great atmosphere, really enjoyed a few hours with the family there. Looking forward to visiting again
A.
Traditional look and feel to this we'll established pub. Lots of wood inside and out, looks how a proper pub used to look.
Maybe a dozen taps offering various ales, IPAs, lagers, ciders plus bottles in the fridge. Noticed a few whisky bottles on the shelf, couple of decent Scotches there such as Bowmore and Aberlour.
There's food on offer but I didn't try it this time as it was only a flying visit.
Will go back when I have longer to linger and try a few more drinks and hopefully some food.
r. K.
From what I found out Within the building theres a secret passage to Anchor Echange Birmingham, UKs underground nuclear bunker.
t. p.
lovely little pub, friendly bar staff, good music on, board games and a pub quiz - what's not to like?
S. B.

P. R.
Cracking pub. Decent IPA and friendly staff.
J. 2.
Brilliant old pub, nice and clean, new owner is brilliant and wants to bring it back to what it was…. (considering the present covid 19 restrictions) …friendly service good pint..well worth a visit and I will be back again
c. m.
Lovely pub glad to see its back open and selling some lovely beer
R. G.
Lovely old pub with friendly staff. Charming smoking area. Slightly pricey but plenty of range.
P. L.
Very good range of Bear and dog friendly pub.
U. T. V.
Great old fashioned boozer. Superb ale on tap.
A. R.
Friendly service, small beer selection, feels very tired inside with old function room chairs being used. Just feels like withbs bit of love this could be a real gem
E. D.
Incredible place with a cool guy behind the bar named Alex you can have a nice chat and some quality time with him. Food is delicious you can see that the chef's put a lot of effort into making. Beer Garden is magnificent with heating lamps. But best of all is the music it's just always on the spot rock, jazz, blues, funk all kind of mix. Love it.
w. m.
Over priced for the area only accepts card which isnt great the pint was nice and the place was reasonably clean
A. R.
Wonderful Sunday Roast! The aesthetics of this pubs are incredible. Just stepping around and seeing the outside of the pub is already worth it, but I will encourage anyone to go inside and ask for their delicious food. They have board games and the ambiance is very cozy.
M. J.
Perfect for a quiet week day after work drink. Only had a bottled cider but glass clean and bottle nice and cold. Quiz nights have a good reputation.
J. J.
Disappointed with this place as it's always looked really good. Waited 45 minutes for food (on a quiet day), when it came the mash was cold and pie burnt. Ordered venison and bacon pie, got beef and gravy. Got about a dozen (literally) peas. Table and chairs were dirty. All in all, wouldn't recommend eating here, still a decent place for a drink though.
P. T.
Really cozy place, great staff and chill music. Very recommended!
D. S.
I really like this pub. It's a proper old style town boozer, except it also does good food. Friendly staff too. Quick service at the bar whenever I've visited. It's one of the few pubs is feel comfortable visiting alone.
A.
Staff member on was great - lovely attitude and welcoming. Most decent beer was off on a saturday afternoon (!) but otherwise fine.
C. W.
Great place - well renovated and well run. Food basic but good and plenty of it. Beers always well kept - good selection of rotating ales and Thatcher's on draught for the cider drinker.
Does get absolutely rammed when the football is on (also shows rugby and cricket).
D. M.
Tidy old school interior, decent pint and charming staff.
A. S.
A regular stomping ground on a Friday lunchtime with work colleagues, the Queens Arms offers great and reasonably priced pub grub, beers (including local independent ales) and a place to unwind from a busy day/week. The Grade II listed 19th Century pub is part of the historic Jewellery Quarter and as such fits right in, however it's not the biggest of pubs so can get cramped at times and have no tables free to sit and eat for groups bigger than 3 or 4, so do bare that in mind if you're eating. Overall a top pub serving residents and office workers in the area.
S. W.
Called in here for a few drinks after our meal in st Paul's square, nice and quiet so we could chat and reasonably priced drinks, c£34 for 8. Friend dropped her purse and went back to retrieve and all good 🤗
C. B.
Excellent pub. Very chilled. Great for a quiet Saturday night drink with friends. You can actually talk here rather than shout.
Z. S.
Great little pub, good atmosphere, attentive staff and they have loads of games at the pub for people to use! Drinks were reasonably priced x
J. B.
Real ale......traditional British pub
p. b.
Very good quality HPA here. The staff are doing a great job of the beer. Rhubarb gin was okay, not too much interaction with customers, otherwise good
G. M.
Great pub to go with your misses or friends, good crowd, friendly atmosphere, can get crowded as the place isn't very big but is a sign of a good pub, open until 12am normally quietens down after 10pm, which is good if your looking for a good place with good drinks and a trendy but friendly crowd
B. W.
A lovely little corner situated pub, reasonably priced food and booze for a city pub. A good atmosphere and would recommend.
M. H.
Quite nice, dog friendly, but not quite cosy enough for my taste.
I. B.
Visited on a Satuday evening with a group of friends. The place wasnt too busy and had a pretty vibrant atmosphere. Bit cramped allong the bar, but thats down to the old building. Prices were pretty reasonable for drinks

Excellent food at reasonable city prices coupled with a good beer choice and excellent service, whats not to like, but the icing is no doubt the choice of sausage.
J. H.
Great staff and drinks are excellent
G. S.
Perfect little pub for lunch or some after work drinks. Small and cosy and staff have always been welcoming
D. R.
Beer can be iffy, atmosphere is lacking, pub "garden" looks cool but leaked water everywhere when we sat on the seats.
J. S.
Had great fish and chips every thing cooked fresh the wait was worth it.The manager and staff were very welcoming
M. E.
Great little pub. Traditional feel with nice little outside area featuring old cinema seating.
