Stayed over night with my partner as I had an exam in Birmingham, would definitely come again for a weekend away or to watch the football next time. Room size was really good! Shower was lovely and hot, and the room was spotless. The whoke place was lovely and clean. The staff are fantastic, so polite and attentive. Really wish I booked an extra night so I could have enjoyed some time at the bar and had some dinner as the menu looks great. Will definitely be returning.

I had originally booked pre covid for a hen in the private room and given a deposit in cash. Recently i had got in touch to see if we could have afternoon tea and use up the deposit which i had lost the receipt for. I got a quick response that they'd be happy to help and check their own records to make the deduction. We were a group of 14 adults & children and went yesterday. We had a beautiful room with our own log fire & absolutely exceptional service. The staff and owners were so friendly and the afternoon tea was by far the best we had ever had. Highly recommend!!!

£4 per person on match day to get in, you also get food with that but I can’t comment on the food as I didn’t have any. Beer is reasonably priced with a great atmosphere before the game.

Beautiful pub. An unexpected things in Aston. Building beautifully restored and each time you go there is something new to marvel at. Cosby place, in the day.I don't know what it's like inn the evening.also a great place for gatherings parties. Scope out if you're thinking of having a funeral reception, wedding, celebrations.

Beautiful place! Love it here and enjoyed a really lovely day at the Christmas fayre. The only thing letting this placec down is the unrealistic prices of food and drink. Very nice, but also very expensive ! Just under £30.00 for 1 baguette 2 cream teas (1 scone with jam and cream) and 2 hot chocolates, and plate of chips.

What a hidden gem!! Met up with friends who work in the area. Was a little dubious, when they said where we were going, but my doubts were unfounded. A little oasis in the middle of Aston!! Fantastic building, lovely food, drinks and friendly staff. The owners have done a fabulous job with the place. Original features and details etc. Hope to visit again very soon.

What a fantastic pub. We attended for a funeral wake and on entering was very impressed at the decor and thoughtful refurbishment. It had a traditional pub feel to it. It was cosy with real fires burning and we were served tea in proper China tea cups with sandwiches and cakes on a tiered stand. Really lovely and quaint. I felt like I'd stepped back in time. The loos were a talking point too. Spick and span throughout. Well worth a visit.

Great place to have lunch. Today they went over and above great service. The log fire was lit in one area and when we saw this, decided to sit near it. We were informed that the table was booked, but if we sat in another area they would light the fire there. And so they did :-). The food was lovely and homemade, the tea is fabulous, made with loose tea not bags, and served in china tea cups. Just lovely xx

Went to the Tavern for the Dirty Dancing night my first visit there and I can honestly say my experience was delightful! The night offered something totally different ... watched the film then professional dancers came on afterwards which really topped off the night and created a fantastic atmosphere! We were greeted with a wonderful melon cocktail delivered by a team of warm and welcoming staff, setting the scene for a wonderful evening. The pub is tastefully decorated in Victorian style with a modern twist. The outside seating area is well laid out with plenty of seating and a huge TV screen. As a group we would usually stay local however we were drawn to this pub due to hearing what it had to offer and multiple recommendations. We made the trip across from the other side of town and safe to say was well worth it! 5 stars.

Great looking pub, bar staff have trouble adding up. Had the same round all night started at £13.80 three rounds later £17.40 for pink Ginn and cranberry juice, orange Ginn, lemonade still the wedding was brilliant and the band ( midnight city soul band ) was brilliant 👍go there again 👍

I haven't actually eaten anything from here, I have only seen walked passed it. HOWEVER, The Tavern drums up alot of business and most of my family have eaten from here and tell how the food is good. It looks brand new but it has been open for at least a year, gets quiet busy on normal days and gets even more busy on match days whether Aston Villa is "HOME" or "AWAY".

I used the Aston Tavern for a Baby Shower & I can't stress enough how successful the day was and that is all thanks to the Aston Tavern Team. It was the perfect venue which was decorated beautifully by the in house staff, the service was second to none; the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and the food was delicious. From the support provided to plan the party to the execution of the day, it could not have gone any better. If you want a beautiful venue with staff who will help your every need & wish, be it packing party favours, hanging up decorations or ensuring there is enough food for all of your dietary requirements, this is the place for you!

Beautiful, quaint premises which has under gone a massive major refurbishment. Aesthetically pleasing on the eye with original fittings lovingly restored inside and out. The owners, Michelle and Paul were so warm and welcoming even to the point of giving me a tour of the upstairs rooms which are soon to be available. Spic and span. Not a spot of dust anywhere. This is really were the fairytale begins. Picture-book perfect! Think of falling through the 'looking glass' like Alice or stepping into a Dickins novel into the 'Grand House'. A hidden delight! Well done guys, I'll be back and looking forward to it.

A great pub, actually the only pub, but a great pub nevertheless, in Aston. A place currently devoid of any other pubs (well any that you'd want to enter anyway), and they refurbish this old beauty and turn it into a pub and tea emporium! Michelle and Paul Monaghan have done a great job - this is beautiful, comfy period furnishings, garden, wood burning stoves - a really snug snug, and lovely friendly bar staff. Kitchen being built so a full menu soon...

A nice place with a difference, a wedding venue, baby shower parties or what every you want a party to be, situated in not the best of places, it's a place you would give a great deal of consideration, but you would sadly be let down by the lack of car parking that could be your final decision
