So glad a friend took us here, it's been really well restored, rescued from demolition and returned to being a lovely 'local' with a great selection on tap! Lovely staff help you decide what to try if you're not familiar with some of the brews on offer. Definitely worth a stop!

Whole area is changing dramatically, but this lovely old pub was saved and refurbished. Beautiful wood & glass interior, and a great selection of beers. Strongly recommended.

Old style pub, nice and clean, friendly staff. Good selection of real ales, 5 on when I visited, a stout, a best bitter, 2 pales and a red ipa. All were in good condition.
Carlsberg, Estrella and freedom on tap for the lager drinkers, shipyard and a Halton Turner mango milkshake (craft ale) on keg plus guiness and a Hogans cider.
Reasonable selection of bottled drinks and a selection of craft beer cans
Recommended to have a visit and see for yourself

Great choice of ale, comfortable environment and friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back. Happy to see places like this surviving in a tough climate. Places like this are sparse in Birmingham, please support it.

Refurbishment and redevelopment done very well. 6 real ales on when we visited and maybe 4 keg craft beers and an assortment of cans. All of which within a Victorian traditional styled pub, yet very clean. Will be back.

Such a charming pub, if you want a taste of Victorian Birmingham then this is the place for you. The staff are lovely and there’s a great range of drinks with rotating local beers. It’s all been renovated in the original style, the stained glass is gorgeous. Also the Sunday live music is definitely worth the journey out of town!

Lovely old place, beer great, service OK. Bar staff more interested in locals and smoking outside. Sambucca added to glass for one member of staff while getting soft drink for themselves. As business owners we are watching and learning

My friend and I had a dispute about pool rules.
What fun!
It turns out that we were both right - him according to today’s set, me from the 1980s.
Great beer, great people.
Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely old school style pub with real ales and live music. Just the job

Traditional Victorian Brummy boozer, nice features (wood work and glazed tiles) which was traditional for pubs built in Birmingham in that era. Real ales were great and sensibly priced. The area is being redeveloped as this was an area of the city given over to factories and warehouses back in the day but many are being repurposed and I see this area as up and coming.
