If you like your craft beer, then The Wolf is definitely a good stop on your travels. Just on the edge of the city centre of Birmingham a stone throw away from Birmingham Snow Hill station, The Wolf is a very quirky independent bar with their specialism in continuingly changing beers on offer and their fully loaded toasties and pies. I had been past it for years but never managed to visit it until now. The beauty about the beers here is that they are all available to take out on cans. I ordered a lamb, mint and potato pie. It came within 5 minutes of me ordering it. It was well filled and tasted great. The prices for this and the drinks on offer are reasonable given where we are. Service was efficient and friendly. I also had the chocolate torte to finish off with vanilla ice cream which was a nice and sweet treat. The dessert was also vegan. The ice cream is hand crafted by Odi + Moo. I would recommend a visit to here if you are passing by. The interior itself is beautiful with different bits and bobs to take your interest to. As I went on a Tuesday, it was 50% off all food. Go on a Thursday and you get 20% off lol cans and bottles. They even do roasts 12-6 on Sundays.

Cheese board: Lots of bread, lots of chutneys, lots of meat, not much cheese. Slices were thin which was a little disappointing. All other items on the cheese board were substantial. The staff were very helpful and friendly though and the vibe, setting and atmosphere were perfect for my visit. Hopefully they consider increase the cheese portion size for us cheese lovers out here.

Great place! The beer selection is amazing. Staff are friendly. Dogs are welcome inside which is great. We've eaten here a few times and never been disappointed, some nice veggie and vegan options. Cans are available for drink in or takeaway with a discount on takeaway. Always a great selection to choose from!

Our first bar of the day! Such a great one to choose! On Constitution Hill! So much choice! We had the BrewYork x LakesBrew Co: Origami Black Belt Imperial Stout, 11.6% and Nothing Bound: Gallup NM Pale Ale, 5.2%. Awesome decor, especially the Golden Retriever pump topper! Even serves small plates, nachos, toasties and pies! Addition: came back for a light bite before heading out again into Birmingham for our second night out. The toasties we had were amazing! Roast ham, vintage cheddar & emmental AND Smoked mozzarella, salami & proscuitto. Very filling! Great service once again. Highly recommended!! Can't give enough stars to be honest!

Table service with knowledgeable staff and cool, bohemian decor. Excellent range of craft lagers, ales, stouts, etc. and cider. A few locals on the board, which is good to see. If you're not feeling what's on tap, there's a solid range of craft cans. Good looking menu, but didn't try the food, so can't comment. I was the first customer, but the tables were clean and tidy; it felt safe. Tables are spaced sensibly. It's not a huge space, so recommend getting there early. Had a great time, would definitely go back. Should have took pictures of the bar, but didn't think I'd be writing a review, but I did feel compelled to snap the pints which are delicious.

My favourite place for beer! An ever changing menu with rotating taps and they often have hard to find beers. We ate lunch here once and had the pies, which were also really good. Can be slightly expensive, but the beer is worth it and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Nice selection of games to play as well. Highly recommended for beer fans. (They do sell wine and other drinks for non-beer people.)

We love this place. We go regularly. Very friendly atmosphere and staff. They have games and allow dogs. They have a great selection of beers on tap and bottles/cans. They do offers on different days of the week. Tuesdays cheese and beer night for only £20 and Thursday they have 20% off all bottles and canned beers. If you like micro breweries this is the place to go!!

Very cool industrial setting with colourful art and interesting collections. Lovely friendly staff, knowledgeable and happy to advise on the menus. Excellent Sunday roast! We tried the vegan roast and the beef roast. Best roast potatoes I've had in years. Delicious side of swede & sage mash, very enjoyable. This is a great little spot if you're into craft beers. Their menu of beers is in a constant rotation which is great as you can always try something new. The food is really tasty and they have good deals on it on a Tuesday, I recommend the pies!

Thriving independent bar, great selection of craft beers and some fabulous looking platters of meats and cheese, locally made breads and pies. Warm and friendly welcome from the staff, it was great to see an independent bar so busy with loads of customers having a good time. Not my first visit and definitely not my last. If you have an Independent Birmingham membership card you also get a discount on some drinks, a great way time support the local traders. Brilliant Independent pub just on the edge of Snowhill/Jewellery Quarter. Great seating inside, always space to grab a seat. Great little bar in the Jewellery quarter. A nice range of beers and the staff knew which beers were vegan friendly. The decor is great and the atmosphere was very good. There is no taxi rank in the immediate area so the bartenders very kindly phoned a local firm for us. The prices are not cheap but not outrageous. The toilets could use more regular checks as they were in a bit of a state, but I can forgive them since it was a busy Saturday evening.

Loved it should be 4.5 cos Neil made it extra special for me. He was on a day out with the squad from the head of steam, also one of my top picks in Birmingham, but we talk and talked and if I did not have a brew to finish that's all we would have done. He knows the owner and that's what made this experience extra special. We love it here - definitely one of our favourite places to go in Brum! My boyfriend is massively into craft beer and this place is his haven. If you are but the people you are with aren't, there's plenty of options - they have a decent selection of gins! The food is also really good - you can't go wrong with their pie, mash and mushy peas; we're also a big fan of their cheese Tuesdays deal (wine or 6 1/3s of beer with a cheese board for about £20). The owners and staff are all very friendly and if you go regularly, you definitely get that atmosphere of being at your local.

This is the kind of place which you hope for when you look for craft beer bars. In contrast to the vast majority of craft beer bars in Birmingham the tables are spread out so you're not sat back to back with the other patrons (Brewdog take note!) and the selection of beer is of the highest quality I've seen in a long while. The bottle/can list is even more impressive. Several beers from the likes of cloudwater and other top tier breweries. Great staff. Great beer. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Another Birmingham gem, located on Constitution Hill on the edge of town not far from Snow Hill station. The Wolf offers some seriously strong ales, it is best to book a table... and be sensible in your drink selection.

A great find whilst visiting Brum. Excellent beer selection and a great venue. It's a bit out of the way but that's not a bad thing as it means it's not full of posers. It's the sort of place I could happily spend all day there. It's also an Untappd venue with levelling up, for those in the know.

Cool bar! Roomy inside but apparently busy on a Saturday according to the bar staff. Staff were lovely, we awkwardly couldn't decide what to drink so they offered advice and tasting samples which helped me make a good choice.
