Reviews of Toby Carvery Quinton
S. E.
The food was excellent and we were given a good serving of meat and good selection of fresh vegetables. The staff were friendly and the service quick. A nice Toby Carvery for a family lunch and excellent value with the 50% discount.
W. R.
Good customer service and they miss place my vega pie order and then dealt with swiftly , however food presentation 5/10 for starters, the main dish you are allowed to customise it by your imagination lol taste 8/10 value for money 8/10 . I found some level of service lacking they can do better , strongly recommend to try this pub out
S. L.
The waitress was excellent, she went out of her way to make our experience enjoyable. The food was very good. My brother is vegan and his food was very good and the waitress gave him a list of food that wasn't suitable, he was a little put out by a comment from the person cutting the meat, my niece wanted a Yorkshire pudding but was too shy to ask so my brother asked for one, the chef made a comment that he wasn't really vegan if he had Yorkshire pudding. He felt this was a little insulting.

We come here regularly, never had a bad meal or anything less than a lovely experience! The whole team are friendly and welcoming! Grace has serves us the past few times and is always dead chatty with a smile on her face! Thank you to her and all the team! :)
Z. J.
Popped in to the Quinton branch for a change and was greeted by Jordan. He was so friendly and helpful. Reminded us about parking validation and got us a lovely booth. Great service from the beginning till the end. We will definitely be back! Thank you Jordan!

It’s been a long time since have been for a Toby car very, the meat was lovely and was plentiful. Roast potatoes were ok, the only thing that let it down was the carrots and cauliflower cheese. I think more attention to quality would lift my score up to a 10. Staff were very good and efficient
C. G.
Very nice carvery. Choice of pork, beef, gammon or turkey. Good selection of vegetables. Lovely waitress. Good service. Easy parking. Limited vegetarian choices. Suitable for well behaved children. Wheelchair accessible. They ask about your known allergies.

Toby Carvery (Quinton)
I booked a table for 4 people for Sunday lunch 1 o Clock.
The place was heaving with people with long queues for the roast carvery, not too much of a wait I should add, meat portions and vegetables were great, hot and delicious. Waitresses were attentive, calm and helpful.
Whilst it was very busy, it was well managed by all the staff, rare positive comment from me 👍

Work event with overnight stay. The rooms were quite big, modern bathroom, comfy bed. However, no lifts and quite disorientating layout for the rooms. The restaurant was so busy, and we had difficulty getting a table despite earlier reservation. Staff helpful and friendly. A little misunderstanding in the morning with payment but sorted - just took some time. Breakfast buffet but limited choices for cold drinks and non cooked food.
J.
Arrived for breakfast and unfortunately a man was unwell. I would just like
To praise the staff for the calm and friendly way they continued. Especial Joan and Stu the chef well done guys and a speedy recovery to the gentleman.
J. F.
I think you could reduce the amount of bookings as there were so many people waiting to be seated. There should be another soft drinks machine as we spent most of our time lining up for either a drinks refill or food. Wwe also felt rushed to leave after we had finished our meal
D. I.
Great service, welcomed by a very perlite man who accommodated for us even though we had not booked.
Not very much meat put on the plate and the beef was chewy, and someone who had a extra large plate got 3 times as much meat. I agree they should get a bit more but not that much compared to hardly anything.
N. S.
Reservations currently needed, super easy to book online. You can go up to get your carvery, a staff member carries the plate to your table. Currently not able to add your own veg/sauces/ gravies etc
C. A.
First of all this restaurant was very busy. We was sat down only to abruptly be told someone was sitting at the table we had just been sat at by a member of staff. We was then told to move. We was then moved to a booth in the bar area. We ordered refill drinks and drinks machine was dispensing watery drinks. Carvery server was really nice and pleasant and food was ok apart from they had no more Mac and cheese which is my friends fave.
No one checked our food was ok, no one asked us if we would like dessert, had to search for someone for our bill and our dirty plates still sat on the table after we left.
I'm a regular Toby user and this was not the best experience this time
T. M.
Great carvery, brilliant service. I left my bag here once and they held on to it for me in their safe. Brilliant restaurant and pub with rooms above if you want to stay the night.
A. D.
Stayed for one night in the hotel which was of a high standard, excellent service from all the staff that were not just friendly & very helpful but actually happy being the great team that they obviously are and because of this it definitely shows, also really enjoyed the food as everything was of excellent quality & cooked to perfection as though it was done by someone who not only knows how to cook but also enjoys what they do & this also shows, the only downside to my visit is that it was only just for one night but will definitely look forward to visiting again.
S. N.
Booked a table via the app on Sunday, I'm not local to the area and can honestly say this is the best Toby carvery I've ever been to,it was really busy ,but the staff coped so well, our server Liv is a credit to her employer, the carvers Jayne and Mustafa were really quick serving, good portions of meat, lovely food
D. M.
The restaurant was very busy as you would expect on a Sunday but the time waiting was acceptable for carvery.
The food was well cooked and warm, the waiting staff postponed getting the drinks while we waited for food and was very friendly
A. P.
Eating in and taking out, food is great. Staff are polite and pleasant. The only reason I gave it a 4 for food is because the carvery does not off anything else as a substitute for veggie/vegan
T.
The food is generally good but can get really busy. Unfortunately food prices seem to be going up almost daily.
Worth a visit, carvery is very good.
K. R.
Unfortunately everybody had the same idea of having a sunday carvery at the same time we first visited Dudley and it was absolutely crambed so decided to drive to Quinton really shouldve known better as I really dont like 1/2 hr queues to wait in for my food and then to pay more for it cause its sunday. So in future I will stay well clear of them on Sundays. Luckily the food was still good and plentiful
d. c.
Excellent place with friendly, helpful staff and top quality food. It disability accessible and once inside staff will be available to make your visit a pleasant experience.
H. J.
After a long day, discovering I had a flat tyre and low phone battery was not very welcome. So I popped into the Toby for a drink while I waited for the RAC. The staff were amazingly friendly and super helpful, they had WiFi and let me borrow a phone charger while I was there. Thank you sooooo much! (I haven't rated the food because I didn't eat, but I will definitely try it next time, it smelt really good 😋)
L. f.
Food ok. Have had better. We had booked the festive fayre menu but it wasn't much different from the normal menu. No festive crackers this year either.
E. S.
Superb food, friendly super efficient staff even though it was extremely busy.
Would highly recommend and will be returning.
S. L.
Nice place. Even with booking in advance we had to wait more than 40 mins before before being seated at our table. As we had plans for the evening already booked it just meant we had to rush as this place was running well behind.
A. s.
Meal was nice and hot staff very friendly
Only complaint was our table was right over the back and not a lot of room between the table and the seat.s at the back
S. W.
We have been here 3 times now. Twice for a carvery and once for Breakfast. Food very good, staff very nice. With todays cost of living crisis, Tobys are an affordable restaurant option.
L.
We have no complaints and are always happy with the service as well as the food so it has become a weekly visit for us now. My only minor suggestion like to see more variety of vegetables if possible. We have been going every Sunday for over a months and yesterday for the first time there was creamed spinach and Brussels sprouts which was lovely. I have had red cabbage in other branches before which was tasty too. But other than that I can’t think of what else to suggest, its always been wonderful. Thank you
P. H.
What a little gem. Loved my two nights stay. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff helpful and friendly. Always served with a smile. The food , breakfast which was a buffet ,dinner which was a carvery was always hot and plentiful . Checkout was 12 noon, plenty of time to let your breakfast go down and checkout. Brilliant. Thank you so much.
C. B.
Lovely food and fastracked our roast so we could leave on time for our show at the arena.
The only minor niggle was that we were told that food was about to be dished out and to queue. We then had to wait 10 mins before they were actually ready to serve
B.
I visited this Toby carvery twice recently on a Saturday afternoon.
It was easy to drive to, with plenty of parking. In fact the car park, & grounds are well planted with greenery. The outside of the building is in good condition, & the interior design & decor are tasteful, & in good condition. The tables are quite well separated, & comfortable seating.
There is a small bar area, & also outide area, probably nice in Summer.
It was very easy to book a table on the website, & both times i've been greeted quickly, & in a friendly manner, & quickly shown to our table.
The Carvery I consider reasonably priced I think, at £8.29 on a Saturday, (I think it is a bit less on weekdays, & a bit more on Sundays.) plus drinks of course.
We didn't need to queue for long to get our choice of Beef, Turkey, Gammon, & Pork, plus a yorkshire, & stuffing, then a range of veg. peas, green beans, carrots, roast potatoes, & parsnips Plus nice gravy, & sauces if required. (You can even go back for more veg & gravy if you can manage any more !!
Staff were all friendly & helpful, & the food was just a great roast meal !
D. E.
Yes we eat out a lot. This carvery was a special one. 90 birthday and we were all treated great. Room booked separately and all in all very good experience. Never feeling rushed or pushed for anything. Very good all around.
L. R.
Good traditional food, been going there for years, very popular in the area, often meet with family.👍
L. N.
Had an evening meal here last Friday with my friend. Lovely staff team whose customer service was great! The carvery vege dishes were fresh and delicious! Recommended for family get together after covid. A variety of meats too. Yum yum xx
D. T. E.
The staff are superb, the blonde lady is like your Aunty the black haired lady is like ya sister and the two bigger lads are like ya big brothers, taking care of you. Thank you 😊🕉️🤗
E. P.
Carvery was great, well managed and lovely staff. Quality of food was medium, beef was really chewy whereas gammon melted in your mouth, potatoes were very flowery but overall I was happy, ate as much as I could and I would return, just not for beef.
C. J.
Party of 18 , service not good , food ok Brussels sprouts hard not cooked. Didn't clean table on before they served puddings for which we waited for quite a while. Not my kind of meal at all won't be here again
m. H.
Booked time slot online easy and simple, arrived at Toby Quinton greeted and seated food was fine.
Only criticism the pigs in blankets was dry not succulent, staff were very friendly and attentive
V. M.
I came with my daughter for lunch. All the food was fresh and very tasty the meat was very tender. We were seated quickly and all staff are helpful and polite
K. M.
The food was lovely. Service was quick. Our waitress Val was great. She has served us lots of times and is always friendly and attentive.
S. B.
Very pleasant surroundings friendly staff and the food is always hot and edible. - plenty of parking both able bodied and disabled catered for - check the press or your phone for offers
N. F.
Stayed here for one night. Good location, friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms
J. S.
Would have liked the food to be a little hotter but choice and quantity good
B. H.
Good range of cooked carved meat and vegetables to choose from.
Menu for other meals if you don't want to eat a carvery.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
J. T.
Enjoy having a breakfast their as reasonably priced and staff are very welcoming and friendly.
A. A.
Very nice place . Nice carvery . Good hotel friendly staff .would give 4 star but can't . Why breakfast on one day next day it's off then on .
N. J.
Very nice carvery I had all the meats all were cooked very nice and tasty all the veg was nice too no mash potato but the roastie made up for that, the pint of Guinness went down well and for pudding the sticky toffee pudding and custard hit the spot very nice indeed overall very nice
S. R.
The food is good standard Toby and you can have what fits your diet , which is good . The staff have been fantastic, helpful and knowledgeable , willing to help with a good attitude , though I expect the odd chuckle later . Jewel in the crown .
R. H.
Ques today were horrendous when booking you don't expect to be told to go order drinks whilst wait and have to stand up the bar holding a baby and a under 2 to get a table at 6pm then told no turkey also a domestic going which all staff just watched and all looked like no1 is bothered didn't really want to stay any longer ate and left as quick as we could.
P. S.
The food was lovely but could do with more variety of vegetables maybe sweetcorn and beans for the younger children who don't like gravy
Also the carrots were very hard and not very nice could do with being cooked abit longer
R. M.
Went for a family breakfast plenty of choice of food, nice and friendly staff
L. G.
Picked up a too good to go order for 3 vegetarian carverys. Huge amount of food on each, plenty veg and mash, mac and cheese, roasties, Yorkshire puddings and gravy.
A. L.
Food was nice and fresh with lovely fast service. Much improved because I've had some pretty terrible food and service here in recent years.
P. G.
When we arrived we we’re greeted which there is no Turkey till 5pm this is not the first time we have had this it has happened twice now all the meat’s were out and replaced it seems as though you are waiting for the evening meals which I presume start at 5pm as you waitress said I was not very pleased as I only generally have Turkey I will have think about it before returning.
C. “. b. B.
The young guy who served us was amazing polite and caring blonde hair lad we was on table 27 between 5 n 6pm there was 5 of us ..very helpful young man
s. J.
I reserved a table for 2 by a window instead had table by the doors and waited 45mins in a queue for our carvery which by the time we got to our table our pigs in blankets went cold and our dinners were warm.
i. m.
Wonderful Carvery! Angela and Jo were amazing at there jobs so kind and welcoming, would come again if it wasnt a 7 hour commute.
C. J. G.
Good food and Service the waitress who served us was friendly with a professional manner gr8 all round.
D. C.
Fantastic food, excellent staff a little busy but I overall would go back again
E. D.
We had pre-booked a group area for breakfast, on arrival we let Joan know we had arrived and were taken through to a room specifically set up for our group!
Queue time was minimal, all staff were polite and friendly, the food was been topped up regularly and there were plenty of choices for our group. A very enjoyable experience and fantastic value for money.
A. M.
Lovely food. Excellent service. Value for money. My only complaint is as with all Toby carvery s the sauces ( mint. Mustard. Horseradish etc). Taste like they've had a bag of sugar added. Just so sweet you actually can't taste anything else but sugar. So much for trying to get the young UN's off sweet addiction. Next time I go I'm taking my own . Bought from the supermarket which has only had half a bag of sugar added 😔😃.
S. H.
Not been for a few year's but had a good experience, food very hot, new vegetables added and not too busy.
S. Z.
The lady that was waiting our table, was sooooo lovely, considerate, polite and welcoming. My daughter is 6months and the lady offered me a spoon or a small bowel so I could give my daughter some mash potato, which I thought was very attentive and sweet. GREAT SERVICE
M. K.
It was a carvery not much meat vegetables looked unappetising pretty dried up dishes almost empty. Very dissapointed
L. R.
Lovely carvery! Never been to one before and was really impressed. We were looked after from the moment we walked in. Our server was Aimee very Lovely young lady.and her service was outstanding! Highly recommended!
S. M.
Great atmosphere, the food was perfect Rachel and the hostess were both fantastic, would definitely come back again.
m. m.
Welcoming atmosphere ,staff were friendly, food was fabulous with great choice and was very affordable.
T. M.
Food was outstanding as usual. Very busy so booking is a must to avoid disappointment as we witnessed while waiting to be seated. Friendly happy staff willing to help without question
C. W.
Ambiance: good
Staff knowledge re Christmas day: poor
Limited desserts due to no ice cream
S. C.
The visit and stay was great, room and ambiance are charming and typical English way, for an foreigner it is positively rooted. Staff beside being all beautiful which adds a cachet to the establishment, are very welcoming, they attend at the best of their capabilities to your request and same is not negligible.
M. C.
Parking was no problem. Got food almost immediately and I enjoyed it. Serving staff were friendly and informative. I’m sure I’ll be back!
J.
Wish if children or adults don't eat meat it should be abit cheaper as my daughter loves carvery but doesn't eat the meat
r. n.
Very lovely staff. We arrived late for breakfast but we were accommodated and had what was available to our fill. I don't like runny eggs and I managed to find well cooked eggs at this place.
A. R.
Really enjoyed it, I've not gone out much over the last few years and the thought of being in a crowded place puts me off, it was perfect though we missed the main lunch time rush and the evening rush. The food was lovely and the service excellent.
J. C.
It was very nice food, friendly and helpful I would go back again
S. M.
Great meal at this Toby. Enjoyed our visit
But I must admit it was a little pricey our bill for x2 standard lunches and x2 drinks worked out at £15.00 each.
Perhaps we are a little out of touch as the place was extremely busy. But we were equally shocked when the chef who was cutting the turkey sliced off the last of the breast meat and chucked the rest in the bin. Perhaps if they reduced the waste they could alter the price
K. M.
Great service (especially from Grace) delicious fresh food and service with a smile from the food counter. Very clean - will definitely be returning.
B. T.
It's a Toby Carvery, you get what you expect and it's value for money, obviously slicing meat very thinly is their thing and there's not much of it, the vegetables on the whole were very good and a good Yorkshire pudding, unfortunately they have never yet mastered Roast potatoes I tried a couple and, as expected, they were dry and solid best avoided.
D. C.
Thank you very much, perfect restaurant , I would definitely visit you again. English breakfast was delicious. We do not have such good food in the Czech Republic .
J. I. A.
Was extremely busy but the staff were great with handling our various intolerances.
D. S.
Staff were all friendly, our server was really lovely ❤️
R. M. R. &. C.
Ate Carvery and Breakfast here with my friends who were visiting from Australia.
Evening carvery was fine except the server being very tight on the meat! Sort it out, some of us need our protein. Also, Pigs in Blankets should come with the meal! Waitress service was very good, desserts spot on.
Breakfast was also good except for being told 4 times that we had to pay afterwards when we already knew and getting a "Hurrumph" when asking for more coffee cups as there were none.... Breakfast Yorkshire puddings are banging though!
J. J.
Always go hear for Celebrations never had a problem we had a fantastic time for Katie's Birthday 🎂
Y.
I’ve been wanting to go to this place for ages. The waitress with the tattoo sleeve was quick and very nice. All you can eat roast for £11.49 is so cheap. I wish there was one near my house. Super busy on Sunday but definitely worth it
K. B.
Great food, attentive staff, fair prices and good size car park what more could you need.
S. T.
Good value food.
Visited Monday so was reasonably quiet.
Personally, I would prefer the food and especially gravy to be hotter, however overall good food and reasonable service.
Notes:
1. The busier they are, the hotter/fresher the food (carvery buffet).
2. I have since discovered that you can ask for your food to be heated in the microwave.
S. Z.
Had a lovely meal at the Quinton Toby Carvery last night. The roast was excellent as usual. The staff were very kind and helpful, although they seemed to be rushed off their feet (are they short staffed?). My coffee was a bit weak but we were so glad to return after the pandemic and support our local restaurant.
J. O.
Good value, meat nice and tasty, veggies not do good (cauliflower cheese has no taste)
V. G.
Food was very nice. Lots of choice on the carvary. Nice place. Friendly staff.
J. “. T.
Amazing customer service from the bar staff, Jane and Stuart!!
L. U.
If I could eat a Toby Carvery every night for dinner I would! It was one of the most delicious meals I have ever had and at an unbeatable price. I'm just so upset that we don't have one back home :(
A. T.
Better than I expected, staying here for two nights so carvery again tomorrow as well. Staff are very helpful and friendly so a nice place to stay or have a traditional English carvery.
k. d.
tbh the carvery wasn't great and the kids menu was rubbish. there wasn't even chips on the menu at all
B. C.
A Great Sunday lunch with my Sister and Niece we Booked Online and was able to beat the Rush. The Staff looked after us with Great Customer Service we where Definitely looked after it was an Awesome meal' We Where Given a Great Seat Sat by the Window and Sat Back and enjoyed Out Carvery Great food with Great Service.. Will Definitely go there again..
M. S.
Great service, only thing no turkey available for half an hour, didn't have time to wait
A. G.
Excellent all over. Yum yum. Great choice and atmosphere.
M. S.
Always a friendly welcome and good service experienced. COVER is ice and a reasonable price too.
A. N.
The staff are always friendly and helpful. The food was delicious as usual 🙂
B. W.
The customer service is very good. I felt welcomed and valued as a customer.
J. M.
Food was good, could improve the mash, and the mac and cheese could do with having a bit more 🧀. Plus the cuts of meat were too thin. Very good gravy 👍. Price of a Pepsi, 🤯 nearly as much as the meal. But it is a good place to have a family meal and all in all the carvery was good. Two more stars if there was a bit more meat on the plate. ⭐⭐
H. D.
Very busy and seemed slow to get through carvery. Booked table for 6pm but had to wait until 15 minutes until it was available. Gravy watery compared with other Toby Carveries.
B. M. F. L.
I'm gluten free so to get a meal I had to sign a "contract" that I wouldn't eat anything with gluten in it. Sign or starve. I signed .
Service was enthusiastic although we had a table in the corner of the bar. Thanks Jane.
E. M.
Went for breakfast. It was overall cold , the potatoes were not cooked but service was fine
W. M.
Good value for money. Very busy Sundays. Booking is a must.
P. J.
Great service waitress was very friendly attentive and we will be back
A. M.
Favourite sunday dinner place
Can get a bit over crowded at times on a Sunday but worth the wait
p. u.
Had breakfast here with my girlfriend and can totally recommend it.
The lovely staff were friendly and made us feel welcomed and the food was fresh and tasty.
We’ll definitely have breakfast here again - thank you to all the staff for making breakfast so enjoyable 😊
Special mentions to Kaz and Joan too
s. t.
We bought our old. friends, one of whom is recovering from serious illness , it was the first time they had been and were full of praise they really enjoyed their meal. Well done Toby.
L. W.
Our local. The quality has improved recently after giving it a miss for a while. New favourite is popping dumplings into the yorkie and smothering in gravy. Mash, veg and meats top drawer and all you could ask for from a carvery. Good offers and lovely staff who do well to keep smiling in a busy place.
S. F.
Lovely friendly staff very helpful, we had the carvery very nice would highly recommend.
r. o.
Have to say... The carvery was delicious! I have found most to be over cooked and dry but it was spot on. The staff actually seemed happy to be at work so it was a welcoming experience. Thank you for your hospitality ☺️
R. T.
Food was great, waitress was very good.
T. R.
I stayed here for 3 nights.
The room was pleasant, clean, high ceilings, large TV, USBs next to the bed (although only 1 worked).
Staff all seemed pleasant. It did take me 2 attempts to get a carvery on my last night, staff seem to be all over the place.
I have never stayed in a hostel, hotel or park bench that has had such bad pillows. They are cheap polyester pillows that have had all the inners ripped apart; so they are just lumpy masses. The mattress was also incredibly hard & dipped in the middle.
I don’t think I will stay here again - 3 bad nights sleep in a row.
K. H.
Great amount of food, fresh hot and tasty.
Thanks!
S. W.
Great atmosphere, great food, helpful, polite staff.
S. T. (. G. G.
I have been there many times, and their food has always been 1st class.
M. M.
Very clean food hot amd tasty will return soon keep up the good work everyone
E. G.
The room was very good but the receptionist when we arrived was not very gentle but correct.
s. T.
The menu was good, food well cooked and hot. The service was excellent.
E. M.
Fantastic place with fantastic food and various types of meals available.
m. b.
Used Premier Inn meal deal once and several breakfasts. Staff very good, food good, no glutton free bread at the begin of week, we made a mistake with our order and the staff were very good and changed instantly. Will use in the future.
E. M.
Really good food, reasonable prices and the staff were really friendly.
Also it's very clean. Tables were tided straight away which I personally like
S. W.
I visited this carvery at lunchtime yesterday with my son. I've eaten here many times in the past but all pre covid I think.
The staff were all lovely, helpful and pleasant.
We both had the carvery meal and as usual the meat was very good. The Yorkshire puds are enormous but we're more like the texture of prawn crackers so I didn't eat most of mine. The vegetables had flavourings which spoiled them in my opinion, particularly the red cabbage and weren't very warm which is so often the case in a carvery. I'd like to see a microwave on the customers side to pep up the temperature without bothering the staff.
I won't visit at this time again as there were a few groups with a small baby, OK if they're sleeping or happy but on several occasions we had a wailing baby close by. I have several babies in my family but never inflict their nuisance on others and years ago when my son was tiny I didn't allow crying or yelling in the garden as I didn't want him to be a nuisance to neighbours. I know attitudes change but all I wanted was the opportunity to catch up with my son.
Clearly not the fault of the carvery or staff.
M. M.
Very helpful, polite staff.
The queue for the roast meats & veg's was rather long & took us nearly half hour to get served. Then, there was no Lamb left either. But the remaining meats/poultries were plentiful (the Roast Beef was gorgeous & melted in the mouth, I also, had the last "bits" of Lamb off the plate (as there was no more left), the veg's were gorgeous too).
We didn't have to wait for our puddings (which were yummy). Our bill wasn't too expensive, given there was 3 of us.
Overall, a very enjoyable, satisfying evening. We will definately go again, if not on a weekend though
L. B.
Great place to dine clean and friendly reasonable prices food/drink good

Excellent meal and service. Friendly and poffesional staff. Food quality a Toby was great. Fresh meat and veg. Potatoes well cooked and seasoned. Will definitely visit again.
D. W.
Chocolate Orange Mousse is really nice. Beware of regional pricing, it's a lot more expensive than our nearest Toby.
M. K.
Buffet breakfast. For the price you can't complain it is what it is. 4.99 and then additional for tea, coffee or pop etc.
Personally, I prefer a more gourmet breakfast with buttery scrambled eggs and flavoured sausages but I wasnt here for that. The breakfast Yorkshire puddings were delicious and the staff were so friendly I felt really chilled and actually enjoyed my breakfast rather than feeling rushed out or bothered all the time.
Next time I'll take my toddler children as it is very family friendly.
F. m.
Food was good, tables were sticky and drinks service was slow
G. F.
Food of a good carvery standard. Pedigree taste was below expected.
L. F.
Went for breakfast and was very happy with this and the premises was very welcoming and spotless.
Food was very nice and to top it off we were able to sit out in the sun.
Ladies bathroom is very nice and immaculate.
The real icing on the cake was Joan, this lady went above and beyond all expectations.
Excellent service and her greeting is exceptional, amazing friendliness and great person to have to keep people coming back.
L. M.
Beautiful food very polite and well mannered staff place is heaven
L. R.
All buffet english breakfast option is amazing. You can eat as much as you want.
A. M.
The food was really nice and was still warm as sometimes you can get cold bits. The reason it only lost a star on this occasion was there was no beef which is my favourite, otherwise could have been a 5.
A. D.
Faultless Sunday carvery, pleasant staff. Booked table over the phone, no waiting, enjoyable dinner and pudding. N
m. M.
Well organised table plan (ideally book in advance)
Ordered drinks went up to queue for food came back to table still no drink so had to reorder them.
Food was OK
Pudding was meant to be black cherry cheesecake but when it arrived it was raspberry..
Waitress asked if our meals were OK as we literally took our first bite 🙄
All in all OK for a cheap no cooking no washing up day
L. S.
Booked table wasn't ready when arrived so sat and waited. Food wasn't as appealing as other carveries visited.
J. L.
Great place for families and couples, good food and very friendly staff
L.
Excellent customer service, great food at a great price. We had the carvery and was more than impressed with the choices on offer. Highly recommended. 👍
T. M.
Very friendly, great food, clean pub
W. a. t. j. g.
Great food and nice tidy room . Very friendly staff and great TV. Bed was a little firm for us but superb stay.
J. C.
Had a lovely family meal here today. The young lady (not sure of her name but very jolly and had plaits) that served us couldn't have been more helpful and so friendly!! Meal was lovely too. We'll done team Quinton ill be coming again xx
P. R.
Best one we've eaten at.
Seated very quickly even though we turned up early for our booking.
Food was cooked very well and the waitress was brilliant.
Y. C.
Excellent carvery, reasonably priced and super friendly, helpful staff, what more could you want for an evening dining out?!
p. t.
Not much of a choice with vegetables. Food quite blend wasn't the best carvery I have enjoyed there. Maybe it's like this when they have the 50% promotion on. Should
T. A.
The best toby carvery for the last 10 years ive been living in Qunton best service and best staff ……. Very welcoming and profesional xxxx
J. R.
The queue was ridiculously long (20 minutes plus), so one of our party decided not to eat. But the food was great and the team were lovely.
D. S.
Again this was a little disappointing. Whether, it was the time we arrived 4.00ish. Some of the food was a little dry for my liking and not a great Portion of meat. The staff were cheerful and helpful
H. H.
Great beer garden furniture on main road can sit out watch the world go by ......friendly staffs.....
A. R.
lovely food and a very clean and tidy pub. We went on a bank holiday so had to pay extra which didn't seem to make sense as still the same carvery just with an extra meat.
Food was good although was very strange that I wasn't allowed to carry my own plate back to the table, a waiter had to carry it. Seemed odd given current covid pandemic and an extra person handling the plate.
Our biggest concern was that one of the party was vegetarian yet the chef serving the veg didn't offer all the vegetables so the veg meal had very little on it, but they did offer roast in beef dripping to a veggie 🤷♂️
Overall it was very nice, but if you are a vegetarian you will have to make a point of asking for the full choice of veg and not just carrots peas cauliflower and mash.
j. R.
We stayed the night In the hotel it was an amazing night great staff great room we will definitely be back
J. B.
Had great service from our waitress Jess. She was very pleasant and made sure we had drinks and asked if our food was OK. Had the vegetarian mushroom pie which was nice. Would recommend this Toby.
M. B.
It was one of the nicest carvery I've had, they served things like meat and lots of vegetables, they had cabbage carrot potatoes roast potatoes peas cauliflower cheese etc, and gravy. Unfortunately I left quite a bit because my eyes are bigger than belly. The staff are fantastic.
A. F.
I've eaten in there it's wonderful I tried to get food delivery and I couldn't I was very disappointed ,I had to go elsewhere
N. W.
Really good value for money. Good service. Everything was hot. Would recommend
N. T.
Good carvery.
Better sticking to pints of alcohol as the soft drinks particularly the refillables are a rip off. Didn't notice if the price is mentioned in the main menu. Saw hot drink prices but not cold.
K. D. V.
All in all it was just OK, obviously it was discount week so the place was heaving with families who think it OK to let the children roll around the floor . Was not happy with the carvery server .... eyelashes that practically came out further than the peak on her hat and false nails that were more suited to a night club , would have thought it breached food hygiene rules.
M. H.
Good food well served hot very tasty Good staff servi
A. B.
Visited the Toby Carvery for a dinner with a work colleagues, honestly the food was delicious!!!!
The staff were really kind and patient!
The manager Hasina was just the loveliest, she took great care of our table and made sure all was perfect. Planing to return very soon.
L. K.
Has i'm gluten free i was really happy. When ordering my Carvery i had good choice i could choose from, i let the lovely waitress know what i wanted , it was freshly made in a non allergy kitchen space and given to me at the table by the waitress.
W. H.
Good turn around with staff updating the buffet before certain items ran out. Most of the staff were very helpful and helped add to the christmas magic by assuming there roles as elves (we went for breakfast and to see santa)
C. J.
Had a wonderful carvery tonight good and service amazing had a lovely waitress called Val who couldn’t do enough for you would recommend the Toby at Quinton
R. R.
Food was exceptional; a wonderful variety of vegetables to accompany the meat and the vegetarian gravy was a treat.
B. A.
Excellent food, good value.
j. h.
Ellis our waiter was so polite and helpful
D. P.
Nice food, just felt pressured into rushing it due to the staff kept coming up to see if we'd finished . Then asking if we wanted the bill when we'd still got our drinks.
M. C.
Mo Jayne Fabulous Hosts I have known them for 9 year's at the Bowling Green Pub Lichfield which they used to run Myself and My Partner visited here Toby Carvery Quinton on Monday 24th January it was My Partners Sisters Birthday Meal staff was great and meal was very tasty will be visiting very soon
j. b.
Top marks for the carvery. Choose your size and meats then help yourself to all the veg that you want. My only downside was we had to ask for our cutlery and my dessert seemed a bit cold.
B. T.
Staff are superb. We visit quite regularly and always get good service.
Covid regulations in place, felt safe. Also meant not as busy so I thought it was a better experience.
Chef's are great and responsive to the unusual food choices of my daughter with autism.
Food choices can vary and sometimes you have to wait for the vegetables to be topped up, but with Covid, staff will bring delayed food to you.
Nothing too fancy, but good value meals. (except on Sundays, hate having to pay more!!)
C. B.
I didn't eat and only had a drink, very friendly service
E. S.
It was very busy but we were seated straight away and drinks came quick and staff all helpful and welcoming
I. H.
Friendly staff good food at a reasonable price.
M. H. (.
Absolutely amazing staff with lovely food and atmosphere
C. C.
Nice facilities with toilets, bar and carvery area. Staff are always friendly and willing to help. We've visited recently with the distancing measures in place and can say everything was well managed. We needed to book in advance but there was plenty of availability right up until the day before going. Refillable drinks, hot drinks alcohol and soft drinks available. Carvery is good value for money. There are some vegetarian and child options too.
B. G.
Half an hour standing in line.
Constant queue of same length for the 3 hours we were there.
Very tasty food.
Good value.
Very kind, helpful staff.
D. H.
Very helpful staff. We were a large party and with two pushchairs were a little cramped where we were originally seated. Within 5 minutes they had us comfortably seated at a roomier table. Food exactly what you expect from this well renowned chain. Excellent choice for a family get together.
C. H.
Booked for 1.30 and the place was very busy so we did wait a little while to be served, however, overall, the service was good: very pleasant staff. Excellent choice on the carvery. Three of us were vegetarians and there was a good veggie menu. My mushroom and ale pie was excellent! A proper full pie that looked amazing and the pastry was delicious. Very good value indeed.
P.
Nice carvery, only issue for me was the food wasn’t overly hot.
J. G.
Well looked after. Food just warm not hot. Very clean not much selection on menu. Mainly carvery.
a. r.
After a bad experience at a now closed Toby this put the carvery back on the go to place to eat service was good and the food was excellent for the price
P. J. C.
Big queues but for that money the food is brilliant
a. b.
Always good enjoyed good food , company, service
E. W.
place was very busy but our table was booked and we sat down at the time we were booked in for staff very good and food was excellent i had so much i couldnt eat it all the meat is cut to thinly neeeds to be sliced properly all people were getting was bits not slices
S. S.
Carvery was beautiful, meats cooked perfect and nothing left to go cold or burned or spoiled. Staff were lovely, best carvery I've been to in a long time. Really enjoyed my evening
S. M.
We went today for Sunday lunch & had made a booking in advance. We appreciate that things are adjusting to the 'new normal' & was told there was a bit of a wait. At one stage we were told we were next, although a couple of other tables were told the same! We eventually got called up 50 minutes later... There was no social distancing taking place in the queue for the carvery!! I had a regular plate & could of made a better job it myself, everything was thrown on, I asked for lots of gravy which ended up running off the edge of the plate WTH... I've never had this problem when I've served myself, think some training is needed there. Our table was in a corner & to be honest, if think we got forgotten. Their system, whatever it may be? is not working, suggest you have a rethink! We went to another chain last week for carvery, it was dealt with very differently, everything flowed superbly, their system was fantastic, we were seated & called for food within 10 minutes. Albeit today, the carvery was hot & tasty, just a little frustrated & fed up by the time we got to eat!
A. C.
It was a good meal, the food was ok, the issue I had was that you head to the carvery and pick the food you want, your plate is handed to a server who carries it for you to the table. It seems minor but so many people commented how weird it was. They were right. I would go back but after the restrictions are lifted
A. J.
Enjoyed our breakfast after drive back from holidays
A. W.
Always superb, we have a family visit at least once a month and are never disappointed. incredible value and amazing food.
P.
Staff are very nice and location is easy to get to with a large car park. This place is always packed and the queue for carvery was very long indeed this time so best to book your table. I don't eat the roast meats, but there is a good range of veg which makes an enjoyable meal on its own, and they have veg gravy too. Disappointing lack of bread sauce though, and some parsnips or broccoli would have been good.
c. M.
very busy but staff were on top of it and we didnt have to wait very long for our table , food was probably the best i've eaten at any carvery
D. M.
We have been here a few times the service is outstanding, food was great and couldn’t fault the staff. Really nice family experience.
J.
Love this Toby Carvery the staff are always friendly. Even when it's busy they get you seated quickly and food is fresh
a. h.
Friendly staff, food was great quality. Very busy as it was a Sunday but service ran smoothly.
B. C.
Top notch breakfast and courteous staff, highly recommended.
C. H.
The waiting staff were lovely the carvery was really tidy and the food was lovely
T. B.
A good place to visit for carvery food --very good staff and they do lovely food it has a carpark attached and can be accessed off the Hagley road but be carefull as it is a busy road and fast at times but yes a very nice place to visit-very friendly staff
L. B.
Lovely Sunday dinner . Had to speak to the manager . To let him know the staff gave 100 per cent service . So refreshing to have people serve you with a smile snd actually go out their way to make the customer have a wonderful experience . Will be going again next week . And cnt wait .
C. P.
Always have great food when we go & Danielle is usually our waitress & is very helpful
w. h.
Great to be able to serve your own veg again. Very enjoyable and the waitress made the visit even more enjoyable.
B. I.
Very good only problem there wasn't enough meat for the carvery on our plate and yorkers were to big soon you got one one your plate could fit much more on
T. A.
Excellent value for money in a very busy restaurant the day I was visiting.
Standard pub grub. Very good portions and chef can add extra slice(s) if asked politely. The Yorkshire pudding was not as good as 'home' cooked but it was passable. Thank you. We will visit again in future.
K. D.
Great for all you can eat breakfast after a night working in freezing conditions
D. d.
We had Breakfast today and it was lovely, hot and tasty. The highlight of our visit was being served by Jo/Joan She was friendly and chatty and has always been pleasant and attentive on all previous visits.
Thank you
J. H.
They couldn't seat us as they didn't have enough meat .... say no more!!
j. w.
Never took a photo I forgot.
But it was good and the Carver of the meat let me have alot of crispy fatty bits so i was happy
b. h.
SUPERB FOOD, GOOD STAFF AND AN EXCELLENT MANAGER.
z. M.
Visited and was glad to leave my food was cold the patatoes rock hard and green . Love this place but wont rush back
D. T.
It was extremely busy when we arrived but the staff gave us a realistic timescale until a table became available. We decided to have some soft drinks at the bar whilst we waited for our table and were pleased to see decafe coffee was available. When it came to our food there was a good choice available for the carvery and it was hot and not at all dry. There was plenty of flavour and all five of our party enjoyed it. Overall a very enjoyable reasonably priced evening.
J. L.
Visited again, this time with my family for an evening meal. It was quite busy (Friday night and half term) but the staff were excellent and the food was spot on as usual for a Toby Carvery! Thank you
P. H.
Friendly staff, and nice food.
Just some of the vegetables are dry.
e. w.
Ran out of a few things as we were fetching our food.
had to ask for my toddlers cake & ice cream to many times as nobody was bringing it.
The staff were all lovely doing all they could, just not enough staff clearly 🙄
B. T.
Good food just needs a little more cooking of the vegetables under done good service brilliant welcome
M. A.
Decent carvery. Busy during weekends.
M. A.
The best of the local Toby carvers imo. Yorkers were a bit dry from the heat lamps so the waitress got us some replacements with no problem.
r. e.
We booked a table for 18:30. Disappointed that there was only turkey and gammon available and then all the food was only lukewarm. Great that the waitress quickly warned it up. Half of the free refill drinks were unavailable. Good service. Average food. Just happy that it was 40% off otherwise I'd have been disappointed
T. J.
A little busy but distancing ok. You still line up for the carvery, but everything is now served to you once you have told them what you want from the selection. Staff are helpful. The only problem is, on a warm day the restaurant gets stuffy. They need air conditioning in there, if they have it, it definitely doesn't work.
A. D.
Very busy for a Monday night, food was good, except for the crackling, cooked far too much, real tooth breaking, but everything else was good. Staff were very friendly.
M. B.
I always come here! a carvery is a carvery , breakfast is breakfast. But there could more items during breakfast and not have to wait, however this service has greatly improved. The carvery meat is so thin like paper might as well just had a plate of veggies, could we please serve normal slices of meat? Staff are friendly enough and I'd like to praise Joan as she is a fantastic character to the place and you can always tell when she is not working. But lovely atmosphere overall
J. C.
Very good. Only thing missing from the breakfast was gravy. Been to a couple of other Toby's and gravy with the breakfast yorkies just hits different :-)
V. B.
We came as a family of four prior to Fathers Day as we thought it would be less busy and I had a Groupon voucher! Great service by the one chap who seemed to have the whole place under his command, very friendly, prompt service and helped sort out the slight mix up that I'd made over the puddings! Considering this is a large food chain, the food was pretty good, selection of meats and veg were okay, puddings were great and served with a smile and some humour!
L. W.
A little bit disorganized, we did feel unsafe waiting for our food in the queue so we put our masks on. But the food was excellent, would have liked a little bit more meat but it was gorgeous xx
S. E.
Average breakfast but value for money
M. R.
We were a party of 16 or so people for a birthday celebration eating at a split session.
The room was set, bar staff very helpful, the host most welcoming, waitress accommodating and patient and importantly the food excellent and enjoyed by one and all.
Good traditional roast English fayre cooked properly for a very fair price.
And although a shareholder in the company and former employee i had not visited a Toby for a number of years and had forgotten just how good they are.
My next visit will not be so long
And i don't think i am wrong
For a Saturday afternoon the place was packed.
Very well done
k. d.
Food ok, veg & vegan options .
s. e.
Val was amazing, very friendly - faultless service
A. A.
Very friendly staff...food was nice and very filling...the kids meals were OK...not much options but its a nice family carvery.
P. E.
I don't think it is all it is cracked up to be. I was disappointed in how long we had to wait past our booked time. Then the roast pork i wanted off the menu wasn't available i asked twice for mash & never got any tthe roast pots & stuffing was dry & crusty. Overall the only good thing was it was half price
S. C.
Great food, good service and have just discovered you can have salmon with the carvery! Result
D. F.
Very good food, decent service
S. T.
Breakfast was quality. Why go elsewhere
M. M.
Really lovely folks- I was on my own and they still managed to make space for me even on a fully booked mother's day!
S. a. E.
All you can eat breakfast, we missed you. Nice clean venue, friendly staff and great breakfast. I'll be back soon to get some photos.
A. E.
Lovely environment, awesome staff, great food. Went on Sunday with son and hubby. Not a bad place to eat. Very good surroundings. Friendly people everywhere. Pepsi for 3 pounds and gets endless refill. Total couldn't fault them. They should keep up the good work.
N. T.
The carvery was a really good meal.
Service was excellent.
R. C.
Loved it ☺️ Only Criticism... After going Large.. You should be able to go back for more meat 🍖
S. B.
How the mighty have fallen ! This used to be 5 stars in our opinion but after our visit today I reluctantly give a 3 star rating but only this high because of the food. The restaurant was not busy yet staff seemed stressed and rushed. When we ordered drinks we were told the coffee machine didn't work and there was no diet drinks available for the fruit cooler drinks on the menu .our waitress was friendly and approachable yet other staff members seemed almost rude when asked questions. The carvery section had dirty plates out, there was hardly any choice of vegetables available ( only 3 ) and we waited over 5 mins for someone to come and serve us. If the food hadn't been as good as it was this would be a 1 star review.
I can't think of a good reason for us to eat here again.
K. G.
1st time at this venue. Certainly will not be the last. Made very welcome. Food lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hope to go back very soon.
h. w.
Food is delicious here, welcoming and friendly staff.
c. j.
Staff are always welcoming, waitress was very efficient
A. K.
Great experience from start to finish staff very helpful, food hot and plenty to pick from on the carvery, reasonable price
A. E.
Well set up for covid restrictions. Choose your food from the counter and then it is served at your table. The roast beef was very tasty and tender. Usual great selection of vegetables.
L. S.
Went for a family meal during the week on a Tuesday at around 5:30pm. It was a very slow Carvery service as there was only one chef carving with very long cues to serve, the roast potatoes were a dark brown & well over roasted (you could hear people in the cue complaining about them), on a brighter note the waitress was very nice & did a good job. Overall a average experience, we have been to this place before with much better overall sevice so there's no doubt we'll be going again in the future.
k. j.
Really enjoyed our dinners and desserts
J. P.
I am giving 3 stars for the waitress who attended our table. Unfortunately after our experience last night we will not be visiting again. We were a table of 13 at a 7.30 sitting. There was not enough food on the carvery and the quality that was left was rubbish. Myself, husband and son did not eat. On our way out looking at the food left on tables quite a few people felt the same.
P. A.
Stopped of here on a busy Sunday afternoon. Staff friendly and attentive considering how busy it was.
Food was spot on. 👍
K. B.
You normally get what you pay for they say, we went on a bank holiday, overpriced, won't do it again.
C. R.
Decent experience, carvery was quite nice... Long queue but was worth the wait! Pleasant and very helpful staff.
M. B.
OK lunchtime. I had booked and was shown our table for two. A little later they had to turn people away. Only two servers. Ordered our drinks, large orange juice and lemonade and large coke. No orange juice!, coke only in the small bottles. We chose alternatives. Went up for the carvery. Meat looked good, but the roast potatoes were rock hard. No Swede it was empty, after I had my peas I would say there was about 20 left. Dessert we both chose sticky toffee pudding. My companion noticed it was actually a sponge with a sauce poured over it. Still tasted nice. Should say the server was both professional and embarrassed over the drinks.
S. L.
I know that with all new procedures have been put in place due to covid. But waited ages for service, menu's sticky and had stains on. Took 15-20min que for food to be plated up with only 2 people in front to be served. My family went up first and i waited with the table then I went up after they were seated with only 2 people in front of me and by the time I got my food plated up and sat down my family had finished eating. Cant blame the staff when only one waitress, ilone bar tender and one chef working.... management need to pull their finger out and improve service
M. M.
Always a good meal here that's why I come back
P. G.
Father's day crush as special offer for dads takes hold. Despite being booked in for 6:15 PM, there was a queue at the checkin desk and we had to wait for 20 minutes to get a table. It seems they either overbooked or didn't have enough staff to cope with the demand. As 90% of their trade is the carvery, I guess this was a miscalculation on behalf of the management on staff available to clear and reset tables. Normally, it's not that bad. Didn't have long to wait to get food though. We didn't stay for dessert as it was very loud with all the customers especially with those still waiting. Marked down to three stars as not usual dining experience here.
J. B.
Reserved table for Sunday 26th Jan. Tho the place was busy our table was waiting for us on arrival. Food was delicious and the pork cooked to perfection. One particular female member of staff was very helpful. Happy with our visit. Would recommend.
M. S.
Was very good. Good atmosphere and thr food was nice. Gave good portion of meat compared to some Toby places
T. A.
Lovely restaurant, extremely friendly & helpful staff. Portions & quality of meat was outstanding along with an impressive selection of vegetables available. We had an issue with the refillable drinks machine having run out of majority of available drinks but this was dealt with swiftly. We were visiting the area & only came across this restaurant by accident but so glad we stopped as the Best Toby carvery we have eaten in. Well done all staff.
D. I.
Food ok but not very hot.
L. W.
It was OK. Food was luke warm which seems to be the case with a carvery. Staff were lovely. Nice to have communication from chefs serving as usually they were a bit miserable. Overall it was OK.
C. W.
Went for breakfast. Help yourself. Unlimited tea and coffee. Good value for money. Good choice. Did us freshly cooked veggie sausages and veggie hash. Nice staff. Only comment is could perhaps in need of a bit of a refurb. Toilets with no toilet seats, carpet a bit worn but for the money, no complaints and would go back
L. J.
Very nice delicious food and help staff and polite too
A. V.
Absolutely delightful place. The Carvery itself is gorgeous and there’s plenty of veg and potatoes etc to choose from- there’s even a mass selection of puddings on the menu which we had a variety of as a big group of 9 which were just as nice. The staff are wonderful- particularly the waiter we were served by (Andrew) who was funny and catering for the people at the table. Definitely worth going.
d. b.
Food was nice and staff were very polite, plus also very clean.
k. l. j.
This is my spot I even go myself for lunch if no one wants to go mmmmmmmmmmmm
N. L.
Staff are helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious. Very pleased. We will stay again
S. S.
Food was great! The place was clean and the staff were really friendly an helpful.
A. S.
Great food great staff very friendly
E. D.
Great service. Friendly staff. Always there when you need anything. Food was great.
l. m.
Staff lovely but standard of food has really diminished along with portion sizes, i only had the turkey and was given 2 paper thin slices. Also had Eton Mess which consisted of some squirty cream on a plate with a couple of strawberries and a minimal amount of meringue......very disappointing meal
L. M. M.
Had a delicious Sunday lunch with my brother for father's day. Had a roast dinner with beef and turkey and it was very tasty. Would recommend this place for Sunday lunch.
S. L.
Went here with my partner and friend for a quick hot chocolate, drink was tasty but the mug was dirty with drip marks down it. Decor is lovely and facilities were clean so not alot to complain about.
D. O.
The best meal I've had at Toby Quinton. Food was lovely and hot, beef was very tender, delicious roast potatoes.....as always.. Staff were very smiley and helpful.
P.
Great service on a busy lunchtime. Food was generally good apart from impenetrable Yorkshires. Drinks expensive.
R. G.
The restaurant is very clean and covid safe, food was lovely, the cookie dough and ice cream is to die for, the staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble for them, this is my second visit and will definitely be returning
H. W.
Visited on a sunday and pre booked table as I suspected it would be busy which is was, met by lovely service from the front desk and bar.
Drinks not expensive and good quality however the queue for actually meal carvery took quite a while as staff was short due to problems in the kitchen regarding their steamers.
On the other hand staff again were very polite, kind and brilliant at their job and made our experience really good.
We will be going back again.
P. F.
Very good place to eat. Good access for wheelchair users. Nice fun staff that were very helpful when asked if they can help the chair users go to the servery. Carpark is flat but only has 2 disabled spaces. Over all a very enjoyable experience eating here
Would recommend.
D. B.
A bit dissapointed to be honest, partner complained about the cleanliness of the toilets and we ended up eating there and our drinks were then cleared from our tab by the duty manager who was very helpful and apologetic. She also dealt with the issues immediately. She was amazing.
V. P.
Food would have been perfect if a little warmer other than that it was nice apart from the Apple pie which was soggy pastry
L. F.
Lovely staff and good food.
A. B.
Nice place lots of different tables . Some of the vegetables were warm . Roasting potatoes were to large and a bit dry .
The waitress was very helpful and friendly and enjoy talking to my nephew who is 5 year old
Which he enjoyed
D.
Good service, good food.
Meats available today were lamb, turkey, beef, gammon.
Plenty of cranberry sauce available!
S. B.
Great food staff super friendly make you feel welcome every time!
V. M.
booked for a family of 10 starting Sunday 9/3/20 rooms were spot on lovely really comfy breakfast was good lady helping out Joan is a credit to this place boths rooms were nice and clean. the only bad point I would like to make is the service and bar staff you had working sunday night near the check in desk not friendly and very slow service asked for a double whiskey and coke the lady said only a single was left in the bottle but she didnt bother to change it so didnt get the drink I asked for and many of them were just standing around not doing anything. apart from that it was a good stay and will return for my next trip to Birmingham
B. B.
This place is a regular pub type place. Usual Toby, a bit of meat with loads of veg. Food is ok, probably depends on what time you go, don't go too early in the day or you might get granny Ediths leftovers re-heated from yesterday for your brunch!!

Had my 50th birthday meal with my extended family. About 25 of us approx , paid 25 pound to have the side room at the back exclusively, we all thought the carvery was lovely, bro in law had the ploughman's as he doesn't do carvery and he said it was delicious. Some had deserts no problem. Everyone served promptly and by the lovely friendly Grace 😁 fab night had by all. Thankyou x

An improvement in cleanliness and food quality post Covid. Good value for veg options and refillable soft drinks all under £15 for two when sharing the drink not bad.

She’s slim and dark ... I think less than 32 years! She was the manager at the Lodge on that day in Birmingham!

Food is good. Staff are helpful and friendly. Company has bought into the "sugar tax" bank on drinks at their refill stations. If you like artificial sweeteners, you're fine. If you actually like real drinks, go to the bar and pay extra for the privilege of a non-refill drink.

Visited Wednesday 5th September and were greeted by a very friendly staff member who shown us to our table. The pub was somewhat busy but by no means packed.
We all decided on carvery meal, which was tasty and cooked well. There was a slight wait in the queue for the carvery as a customer asked for salmon; I was glad to find that this was an option should you order it from your waiter/waitress.
Definitely recommend for a family get together, catch up with friends or if you need to lay waste to your hangover.

Polite courteous staff and not to mention yummy food

A carvery is a carvery, yes I agree., but this one was one of the best I have had recently. Hot, lean lovely beef. Good selection of vegetables, would have liked some peas, but never mind. Friendly staff & places cleared quickly.

I stayed 2 nights and found it clean and comfortable. The Carvery was very popular all day, and excellent value. Not the most refined food (and my order was wrong) but quite tasty. Friendly service, if a bit over-stretched at times.

Had to wait in a fairly long queue however this told me the place is popular. Food was lovely and hot. Lots of choice of fresh veg. Meat was divine. Lashings of lovely hot gravy. Staff were polite and friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again.

Average at best, table service was extremely slow, took 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order and another 10 minutes for the drinks to the brought to the table. Food was average, majority overcooked or dried out

Credit where credit is due, wasn't going to come back here after the last time, so glad I decided to give this one another go, staff manners have definitely improved, food improved too. Only criticism this time was there was no cheese on the macaroni. Other than that, I can safely say you have redeemed yourself 🙂👏🏻

I last came here at 38 weeks pregnant and the wait was quite long with it being 2pm on a Sunday, the staff went out of there way to ensure I was seated while we waited and put us on a table which was close to the carvery. The best carvery around and lovely staff. Can't complain at all. And omg the breakfast is amazing... I was quick to judge the Yorkshire pudding on a breakfast idea, but it's not until you try it that you realise how much you've been missing out in life. Wonderful food and service.

A Christmas meal, party of 59 booked, but 11 of our party were not able to sit with us! The waiter said our area was for 60, so why weren't there enough seats? That said, the carvery is good value and the Christmas package included crackers and prosecco - 3 courses for £14.49. The waiting staff were patient and good humoured.

Very busy but prompt service, bit of a moan , the meat portions were a bit meagre. Probably only half of what was on offer back in the day..

Food was nice and fresh and value for money even tho we used our 50% off voucher easily would of paid full price, they ran out of gravy but was quick to get a fresh one out. Think we stick to there as it's more local. Staff and waitress was friendly and polite.
Thank you 😁

Food was good value but. Service bad. I waited 15 minutes for some one to collect payment at end of meal. This was despite asking to accept payment for bill from 3waiters who seemed to be more interested in chatting around the till.

Ate here many times before & never encountered a problem. Although we arrived at 9.20pm on a Saturday evening, the vegetables were scarce & the meats just a little dried up. Acceptable food given the time we arrived but for the fact that the ice cream machine had broken down & there were only about 6 or 7 other items from the dessert menu available. The dessert chef had also left for the evening some time before.

Very nice venue (Christmas time) lovely food lots of variety of food.
Only criticism would be the waitress's or lack of them resulting in poor service in the restaurant and also the bar. Very pleased with my visit and would recommend this place highly. Can't wait to go back !!.

Waited a long time to be seated even though we had booked. No one on the door reception to seat us.

The food was really nice. I only had a child's carvery coz I knew that would be enough for me but it was so nice 🙌🏼 but what made it even better was the staff. Every single one of the staff that we came across gave 5* service. Especially the waitress with short blonde hair... But I can't fault anything at all with Toby Carvery Quinton. 100% BRILLIANT ❤️ Thank you everyone xx

The carvery buffet is full of good food for a good price.
