Went Sat 6/8/22 at around 4pm. Well what a much needed cheerful, warm and fun atmosphere. After the disappointment of heidis next door it was like a shock that next door could be SO different! The staff were a delight. Speedy, welcoming, happy and very courteous. We ordered a lot of drink, some lovely food and enjoyed every minute. Would definitely recommend and will be getting a revisit for sure from family and friends. Well done staff 👍

Spent an evening in The Velvet Music Rooms on a weekend break to Birmingham. Great place with reasonably priced drinks and great prices on food. Large cocktail list with some that pack a punch and are a must try! All the bar staff are super friendly and make you feel welcome. All the door staff do a great job making you feel safe, Ria one of the door staff was great directing me at the end of the evening after sampling probably a few too many of their cocktails! Lots of TV’s for sports through the day then great music and dancing in the evening. Great work guys!

The staff at this place definitely needs a shout out !!! Especially the guy looking after our hen party !! Such a lovely guy he showed us ladies to our vip seating area was polite and attentive and also cleaned up one of the ladies sick !! She was extremely sorry but he took it in his stride .. all the staff were very good and professional!! The pleasures boys show was fantastic and the music after was great !! Will definitely be returning for another night out !! Thankyou for a great experience

I was just taking a walk down Broad St and decided to pop by here to have lunch. I have to say, I am a big fan of pub meals. And this is the one of the best pub meals I've had on a long long time. Michael was friendly and other staff were too. We ordered mushroom and chicken pie and beef brisket burger. The one and only drawback with the burger was that the patty was quite well done. And it was quite a rock solid to bite as well. But apart from that the meal was just mind blowing.

Decent bar and some nice cocktails. They have a good outside area that is sheltered. I've been in a few times and the atmosphere is always good. More recently they had the rugby on and the place was buzzing. They have loads of high quality screens if sport is your thing. It would be a good place to watch some football. They seemed to be bringing food out every 2 minutes and it looked delicious, although I've not eaten here. Probably one of the better bars on Broad Street in my opinion.

Amazing night here even with the restrictions In place we were taken upstairs by a lady security guard who was absolutely fantastic we stayed here for the entirety of our evening!! Drinks are great value for money music was brilliant the staff waiting on tables were all fantastic happy to help and just generally a mega vibe all round best night out in a long long time!!

An amazing place and venue at Velvet Music Rooms on Broad Street. I've been here a few times since the pandemic and they have really done themselves well. You wont get a safer venue on Broad Street, where the staff are friendly and inviting. I cannot wait to return and book a table for when the covid rules are lifted and normality is back. Pretty decent bar the layout is nice, cosey corners and there's also one of those lucky men in the toilets ahaha haven't seen that for a while. DJ even played a track I requested which is amazing don't see that often but then again the place wasn't to busy.

I went for dinner as I was on a business trip so I can just review their day service. You definitely get what you pay for. They have good deals for food and drinks. Quality is not exceptional but I can't complain either. I went around 7pm on a weekday so it was very quiet. Staff was helpful and service was quite quick. I had a steak and I got what I paid for.

Went here after the gym before i watched a film. Not so busy for a Sundays, food came out very fast which is always nice. They had the football on a massive screen, i believe they have football on all the time which would be a good option for anytime you wanted to watch a game

Food was ok, veggie options were a bit slim, but were more than happy to provide a missing item from burger that they hadn't heard being ordered (cheese). Very modern, (although I did have a moment where I thought the toilets hadn't been finished, but it was just the decor), clean bar. For those who are in to drinking, the drinks are fairly cheap, with a lot of deals on.

We visited just as Tier 2 of the lockdown had started and the safety measures in place were intense. Friendly staff, played pool on their ONLY pool table which is disappointing but enjoyed our time there. £6.40 for two pints of coke is abit much though, only thing to spoil our visit.. overall decent though.

This place has a great atmosphere and decent music however the drinks are far too expensive for the range and quality that you get. The staff were okay, my friend ordered a drink that never came, we showed proof of purchase but they didn't regard it at all and I had to pay for a replacement. Also with the booking system, we were guided in with great hospitality but wasn't shown our "provided seating". We just had to wait for another 10/15 minutes and find a makeshift table to sit. Some of these issues could be just one time things, and I'm usually an optimistic person when it comes to clubs, bars etc. However, I cannot hide that I was disappointed, when the look and aesthetic is stunning and the music was trendy and catchy I was quite let down.

A year ago the upstairs was open too, but not last night which was a shame. There was also some bloke standing on the table near the DJ, gyrating and pulling his trousers waist band down at passing women, which was a bit odd

Quite these days but that can often be a good thing for the more mature person or group. They have a pool table. Card or cash deposit for the ques. Reasonable priced drink even if served in small glasses. The service was ok but not consistent across all members of the bar staff. Got a 4 star cus a young bar man helped alot when a drink spilled on our table. Forgot his name but to service.

EXCELLENT staff! We visited the Velvet Music Rooms for the first time this week and will definitely go back. Everyone from the doorman to the waiting staff were really accommodating and friendly. The fish and chips were particularly good and nothing was too much trouble. When we were a bit cold the staff moved us and everything was done with a smile. Thanks! :D

Highly recommend, they have a good size outside setting ,staff are very friendly service is good! I visited on the 17th of April and there was 6 on my table we didn’t have to wait to be seated the wait for the drinks wasn’t long so that was good as Iv been other places where the wait was long for a drink so I have to order 2 at a time. They also serve food which was very nice! One of the managers (tash) she was lovely she made us feel welcome and always made sure we was happy with everything and a hour into our time we got a bit cold so she happily moved us where there was shelter as they had a table free which we were very grateful for! Iv booked to go again the 1st of may as we all enjoyed ourselves and it’s nice to be somewhere Where the staff are lovely and the service is good! Thank you to all the staff your doing an amazing job :)

Rarely ever went to broad street until I stumbled across this place. Asked a lot of people where they would recommend in Birmingham and this bar was named by all as the best bar on broad street. Always a safe bet for a really enjoyable night out and never any trouble as security are bang on. Also watched every euros match in here and it was absolutely class, regardless of the high demand for drinks, staff were amazing and I never waited more than 10mins for a round. Big thank you to Natasha? Blonde? Manager I'm assuming... You made our whole euro experience, thank you to you and your staff! ROLE ON THE WORLD CUP !

I recently booked a covid friendly function with Stephen, Natasha and the team and they couldn't of been more helpful, we all felt very welcome and it was great that the staff got themselves involved with the banter and had a good time to. We all ate at Velvet in the afternoon varies styles of burgers, chips and chicken wings which were all excellent, i was very impressed that everyone got their food at the same time which I'm sure is no easy task for the staff. In the evening we went back to watch the football and have a few more drinks. Due to covid restrictions and us having a larger group than 6, most places would not entertain us and judged us before we entered. Velvet welcomed us in, we had fun all within the parameters of the restrictions. When everything eases up we look forward to heading back. Thanks again from the gaffa 😊

Love this place. Best venue on Broad Street. Not many city centre venues you can go to where you're treated like a local and the bar team are your best buddies. They've had a tough year with covid and are bouncing back after reopening, adjusting well with new covid regs. Great food coming out of the kitchen and I can recommend the steak ciabatta (cooked to your liking) and the fat face burgers 🤤❤❤

Good atmosphere wasn't very busy although we did have one probably getting back in when we left the bouncer wouldn't let one of my friends in but the supvisor looked at my friend and let him in in the end the bouncer who said no didn't look happy but he wasn't even that drunk!
