S. H.I must admit that I do enjoy coming here. It has a great atmosphere and the staff are all friendly.
The reason for the 3 stars is because my friend had booked a table for my birthday and when we arrived we were informed that there was no chicken, fish and other stuff in the menu.
They had been so busy that they had ran out of certain foods.
Quite a few of my friends were really disappointed and wanted to leave, but I advised them to stay and we had a good night considering.
K.Lunchtime on a sunny day. Family friendly in the garden. Strangers seem to chat to each other randomly. Rather nice. The people eating were definitely enjoying their food ! Cracking experience all round !!
M. D.Busy Mothering Sunday so staff were very busy. We ordered a collect meal as the restaurant was full. Slight delay from collection time that was agreed but this wasn't a problem as the staff explained and worked promptly around the commitments of the restaurant. Thank you for lovely meal.
A. C.For a family of four, with both children being four or under, this eatery was superb. The service was quick, relaxed and friendly, the food was of a good standard and the surrounds were spacious and decorated in good taste. A bill of £50 (with tip) for dinner was just right.
Parking was straightforward and free and the conveniences were hygienic. Family friendly - big thumbs up from us.

T.Had a meal here on the 16th October with my family as it was my birthday. Everyone enjoyed their meal, however I was a tiny bit underwhelmed with my vegetarian meal. It was the cheese and tomato puff pastry tart. The coleslaw in its little pot just covered the bottom. But the Rocky sundae was gorgeous, but I do have a sweet tooth...x

The gentleman who greeted us and showed us to our table was polite and courteous and offered us masks when we’d forgotten to bring ours. The waitress allocated to us was great, very efficient and kept coming back to check we had everything we needed. The food was of a very high standard, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Thank you, we’ve already booked to come back!

I often have the Chicken and Bacon stack which is fabulous. And they now sell bottles of their Red Devil sauce.
If I were to make a suggestion though; there is copious space in the garden for some kids play furniture.

S.Well what can I say I booked a table for 5 and was greeted with a lovely staff. my partner and friend had the ultimate grill which was excellent cooked right, my daugher didn't much like the chicken wrap, chips was nice and the sponge and ice cream was lovely. I had the fish and chips wow the fish was to die for well done to the chef. My other friend had the gammon but they said it was a bit to salty but nice. well done to the staff and chefs for a lovely night out with friends and family would recommend people to come this place. 😁😁😁😁😁❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍

S. B.We came in for a really late breakfast. Arrived at 11.18 and the staff were extremily welcoming and allowed us to have the option of breakfast or lunch.
We wanted breakfast and was extremely tasty. Breakfast bar was getting empty, expected due to time but not much of what we wanted.
Also i opted for the All in along with my mother but sadly we wasnt offered any more breakfast due to time. Would have been good to be told to order everything at once but what we did get was really good quality.
We were served by Jo and she was lovely. Really good with my daughter who is only 2 :-)

R. S.Went for a family meal for our anniversary and had a really nice meal. Parking is a bit odd as it is free, but you have to make sure that you enter your registration number on the machine as you enter, which I wasn't a fan of.
The food was good, but I was glad we booked in advance as it was very busy with limited staff (mid week and busier than normal due to good weather).

Only reason it hasn't scored 5 ☆ is because all the salad bar containers were almost empty which was disappointing since a huge part of the marketing is the free salad bowl with all the meals.

Foods great and nice atmosphere
On my last catch up with an old colleague this year we both managed to get a parking fine.
The manager I spoke to got this cancelled
I've got to say that I will not go back to this pub chain ever again
The signs have been put up in the carpark if your looking for them..but I don't when I go to a pub..the bar staff could have asked us if we had put our car registrations in the machine you know out of good customer service.
The English pub trade is on its knees, what great way to encourage people to come out and spend money..

The concept of a free salad bar and free refills is good but it has to be paid for somewhere and actually I'd rather just order what I'd like to eat and have a bit more quality. Friendly staff.

The free salad bar is a little crammed in so there is space for one person to walk around it but it's a squeeze if another person is behind you getting condiments etc. Service was slow but the place was very busy during our visit so it was expected. The food was nice although our party ordered a few steaks as mains and 2-3 of them where inedible, they were very tough and impossible to cut.

Kids can get some stuff from the salad bar whilst mains are being cooked plus they always provide crayons etc which helps keep them occupied and makes eating out a less stressful experience. I also don't mind coming here for just a drink as has a good bar area with reasonably priced drinks and friendly staff.

Food, atmosphere and staff here are perfect. 16oz Rib-eye steak cooked perfectly medium, I couldn't have asked for better. Value is amazing aswell with nice portions of mains, self serve unlimited salad bar and glorious treats for dessert. Make sure you check the Harvester app for some extra offers that appear from time to time. Thoroughly impressive throughout, the best meal I've enjoyed for a while.

S. N.Have been quite a few times now and ordered the rump. I like mine rare and they seem to use the scraggiest piece to cook rare so virtually inedible. We were a party of 15 and my mum's meal was brought out when most people had finished. They removed mum's meal from the bill but she didn't eat much as we were all giving her food of our plates as she was starving. Not really acceptable service today.

The food was appetizing and not over priced and our server Marie, was excellent. She did her job well but did not stand over us waiting for us to order or finish. I have no doubt we will be visiting The Wheatsheaf again.

S. D.Booked a table for 12 for my sons 13th birthday. We were served by Liam , who was absolutely wonderful! Very attentive & helpful, couldn't fault him, a real asset. The food was quick, hot & delicious (harvester combo 83, different burgers & steaks. The kids meals were good too, nice portion sizes) the desserts are quite nice too & very decent portions. All in all a great family experience and we would all happily recommend this particular branch (Wheatsheaf @ Coleshill). Great value for money (£120 for 6 adults & 3 childrens mains, desserts. & drinks!) Can't wait for our next visit!!

One thing worth noting if you're planning on eating here is that making a reservation in advance doesn't guarantee anything at this harvester.
Twice this had happened to us now. The first time we requested a particular table but when we arrived it was still occupied. We were told that they wouldn't be long but we took a different table anyway. The table didn't become vacant for 35 minutes.
This defeats the whole point of making a reservation.

N. S.Fairly standard Harvester experience at the Wheatsheaf. The only drawback for me was the main meal. I had the Pitmaster dish and it looked good on the menu. The reality is that it is wildly overpriced and to top it off I could've used the belly pork that was served with it to pave my patio, it was that tough! Even the razor sharp steak knife I was using gave up and downed tools. It was replaced though with a slightly less brick-like portion. Bonus...
Don't think I'll be rushing back here when I'm next in the area.

P. W.My wife and I were visiting her sister who lives in coleshill. We decided to go for a drink and something to eat. When we got to the pub we Sat in the garden as it was a very hot evening about 18.00 hrs we all decided to have the chicken wings to share between us the person at the bar said that we could not sit at the picnic style table if we were eating we would have to sit at the other tables just outside the bar which has used ash trays on them.when we ordered our drinks and food we were told that they had run out of the chicken wings and would have to order something else from the menu. What I find hard to believe is how can you run out of something so early in the evening it was only 18.00hrs.

m. v.Went for a quick bite to eat after work lovely food, but didn't get order right we had ordered a plain burger for son and when it came it had cheese on weyreturned it and when they bought it back had just scrapped the cheese off but was still all over the burger needless to say it got sent back, not good if you're allergic to cheese.

The food was 4 out of 5, not brilliant but pretty good and the service was also excellent before, during and after the meal
The starter arrived just at the same time the drinks arrived but the main did take a good while to follow even though the restaurant did not seem all that busy but the food was good and I couldn't fault any of it
The salad bar is free and has a good selection of salad items along with various sauces, bacon bits, croutons etc and I'm sure you could live entirely from the salad bar if you wanted to
There were two menu's in operation the full restaurant menu and the set menu n(we had meals from each) and as stated both were pretty good and the set menu is £10.99 for two courses
Also once ordered coffee topups are free but the topups are filter coffee only
Some things could be improved but a decent 4 out of 5 at a good price
