J. R.You're led through an amazingly decorated foyer which isn't even a fraction of the well detailed club. There's constant fun things to look at when you're not dancing to the requested songs or the alternative music that otherwise plays, with the occational pop song coming on.
There's dance cages you can enter and a dance pole to try your luck at with most people cheering you on even if there's a lack of skill. A judgement-free zone for the most part where a lighthearted vibe is always close.
Smoker's area if you need it. Bathrooms are probably the worst part as they aren't that big.
An all-around good experience with staff that is very experienced and professional.

A. H.2 pool tables free on Mondays and Tuesdays. Juke box, karaoke, and other entertainment. Spit and sawdust type of bar but usually friendly thanks to Sean marshaling the place. No frills proper bar
K. H.I used to absolutely love sound circus, and would go at least once a week. But since covid, and the referb it isn't the same. Whilst I appreciate that music has changed, literally everyone I spoke to that night said the music was terrible. It wasn't even alternative, it was pop, rnb or dance. I think there was 1 fall out boy song, which was about as alternative as it got. However, credit to the DJ when me or my friends requested a song he would play it. I know it's really hard to please everyone musically, but just a bit more variety would have been awesome.

B. G.Nice environment but so called 'alternative night' on Saturday was awful. Played mostly electronic and modern indie-pop that wouldn't nearly be classed as 'alternative' in my opinion. Shame to see the same old good popular songs like the Chain played but nothing else pre 2000s or a bit different .
E. B.You could literally go to Alt in your PJs or your best night out gear. Everyone is welcoming, no matter how much they’ve drunk and the alcohol is cheap and with lots of variation. Song request station, water fountain and a big dance floor/smoking area. There is also a cat that has free range of the place so thats nice.

I got several times a week and have only had problems with patrons twice and the staff sorted it swiftly and discretely.
I adore it here, if you're a student bring your ID on Thursdays because that's when you get the biggest discount!

N. S. R.Can't believe It's taken me this long to go to Sound Circus. There's a really nice atmosphere here. There's a karaoke bar and a more 'traditional' dance floor and both areas are separated and have different vibes. The staff are friendly and so are the crowd (so far). Drinks are at a fair price and on some nights even cheaper. As someone who's pretty geeky and loves nostalgia, I love the theme of the place, which being aviation and technology. You can request songs which is great too. The most popular music here seems to be naughties and punk rock. If you're the stereotypical 'emo', you'll probably love this place. I'll be coming back here that's for sure.

EDIT: The music taste in this club is pretty good, after frequenting Sound Circus on a fairly regular basis for around 5-6 years, I can confirm the smell is usually not all too pleasant. However, the music was good, and the drinks were cheap, and there was a decent scene during this time, especially at the start. What is it that you wonder..?

L. A.Great place to go for a night out! Cheap drinks and a wide variety available! The smoking area is very sociable plus they have a pole/stage for dancing on. Although it's mostly rock music it's a fantastic night out with a great atmosphere that I would recommend to everyone. You can also request songs and they have themed nights which you get free drinks at for dressing up!
P. S.Drinks there are very cheap, and they play good rock songs. But they don't have much special event nights happening.
It's a good place, but I wouldn't stick to this place as the only place to go clubbing because of the cheap drinks (otherwise you'd get sick of it).
b.I haven't enjoyed myself for a long time. I celebrated New Year's Eve 2019 and although I have been there in the past I was overwhelmed just how friendly everyone was, something that I've never experienced in the past. I intend to make up for it and make more regular visits.

W. I.Genuinely one of the the weirdest places I've ever been. I can't give it 1 Star because it was so entertaining to be there but in most ways was an awful experience. The whole place smells like off pickled onion and strawberry vape juice with these leather bar tops that you don't wanna touch. Has an atmosphere like a year 8 school disco trying to be a stipclub and is all round a pretty awkward place to be in unless you like a healthy mix of 35 year olds in rick and morty shirts with fedoras, big tiddy goth gfs and children. Perfectly good night of entertainment for 4 quid
E. G.Have been coming here on and off for years. The refurb has been great (new sofas, ladies toilet has some large mirrors instead of the chalkboard wall, and new loo roll holders) music isn't always to my taste (would love a black metal song played once in a while:p) but again, personal choice. Always a different theme night happening, most popular I've seen is Halloween and New Year's which is always epic. I appreciate what Keith and the team do, what I use to listen to isn't necessarily what everyone else wants to but there are other places that have this available for me. Good alcohol selection and offers available for them.
Please do something about the ladies toilets though, they can get super wet and grim on the floor that my friend almost slipped. And some idiot tried to eat a Subway that got all mushed into the toilets and they tried to flush the wrapper.

A. M.Sound circus is a really good club and live music venue. They take song requests and the bouncers are very good and take good care. They do an event at Halloween which is always a blast.

B.Ok this place is really fun if you dig the music, but the predisposition to getting roofied and stuff is great made me paranoid. This place is 10/10 if you can handle that stuff and I think its just a rumour so just take this with a grain of salt. Its really cheap and fun go if you enjoy fun xd
