2 for £15 lunch menu or main menu both worth a look at. Met at the door and sat immediately. Great service and great food. I had meatballs ( about a dozen) on linguine in spicy tomato sauce with melted cheese on top with garlic bread. DH had belly pork with veg and mash. Mash was a bit dry- maybe instant? But everything else gorgeous.

Great place to go for food and drink. It has a bar and separate restaurant area, though I believe food is available in the bar as well. We were all very happy with our meals- portions were substantial and very tasty. We had room for dessert and also thoroughly enjoyed (the mint and chocolate cheesecake was delicious). The Angel is a little bit off the beaten track - if you're not local then get the satnav going, but I think this really adds to it's appeal. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely loved the Angel, £15 for two meals, well, you can't go far wrong there now can you. Beautiful views if sitting outside on a bench and never much traffic passing as you enjoy your meals with a pint, amazing 😊 ❤️ 💯

Well worth a visit for their lovely roast dinner. We had turkey, lamb and the beef. All meats were perfectly cooked. Large portions of meat to. Plenty of veg roast and boiled potatoes. A delishous meal. We recomend the brownies and Eton mess for pudding. The staff are very friendly and we would love to return.

Myself and my daughter decided to go for a last minute "Dad & Daughter date night" at 6pm on a Friday night, after calling a few local restaurants (no one picked up) we drove about a little, and I remembered the Angel. And wow what a meal and service we had. Definitely be call back again 100%.

Stopped off for a quick soft drink after a walk. Whilst a good looking establishment and they've obviously spent a lot of money on the look of the place the customer service wasn't so great and didn't feel very welcoming. Stayed overnight, nice room and facilities, sheets and towels spotlessly clean and fresh. Enjoyed the evening meal and local entertainment . Only grumble the mattress was rather uncomfortable and the bed creaked when you turned over which was annoying. The staff were great. Everyone was polite helpful and considerate to all our needs couldn't fault them.

Been a while since I have been here, food was yummy as always. Cow pie and chunky chips my fav, could have done with more gravy in it but it did come with a jug of gravy. I did not have the veg as I knew I would not eat it as the pie and chips were very filling. Service was great staff were friendly and very helpful. We did not book but no problem. We will be back next time we are in the area

Our first visit here since new management took over. Really Liked the changes to the interior. When looking at the menu we were totally spoilt for choice. I chose the curried fishcakes whilst my wife had the crispy duck and pancakes both dishes were so tasty and portion sizes were generous. Our mains arrived and our dining experience just got even better. Both dishes were again generously portioned and really tasty. We had a bit of a wait for our desert order to be taken which gave us time to rest. The waitress was very apologetic and did not charge us for them which we didn't expect. Both deserts (rocky road sundae and white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake) were scrumptious. With so many dishes on the menu we both fancy trying I don't think it will be long before we return again.

I visited this place about 3-4 yrs back and it was ok as a restaurant then, but nothing out of the ordinary. Have been back twice in last month or so with two separate groups of 4 people and it's now a great place to eat, and each person in the groups thought so too. It's a lovely place, with a great menu and lovely staff. What let it down is the temperature of the main meals when they were served (hot enough, but serving it on hot plates would have kept the food hot for longer), and then when we got the bill, it ended up being almost twice what it should have been, so make sure to double check their adding skills.

Welcome to what I'd call a summer pub. Had eaten here before and it was good may have to go back again and test it out, re edit this part. Have popped in for a cheeky beer from time to time. Staff are very friendly and the character of the place is great. From the garden out front the views are beautiful. Sit outside on a hot day, cold drink in hand with great views....Bliss!!

Absolutely beautiful homemade food with an impressive range of options on the menu. There is a daily offer on mains in the week of 2 meals for £12 - went for this option and unlike some places that will give you smaller portions on the offer we received full sized meals that filled us up. Bar staff very attentive and pleasant, would highly recommend!

Under New management since May 2018. Can't recommend the Angel enough. Great decor very clean and well organised. The staff are friendly and helpfull. A good choice of food really well cooked. A cut above the average pub grub. This must be one of the best places in the area and reasonbly priced as well.

Service wasn't the best, waited nearly half an hour for desserts to arrive. Could hardly cut through the roast veg. Be careful trying to eat the crackling with the pork Sunday lunch, if it was anything like mine you'll be cracking teeth. Had to go to the bar to ask for drinks and the bill, which they got wrong.
