Menu good and quality of food was as hoped for, the curry was plentiful and great, as was the fish and chips !

S. R. B.We had a group of about 14 people eat here. We pre-booked the table and food and it make it much easier and they printed out peoples selections as well. This made it every easy to handle. The food was brilliant and the service was fast. It has a cosy pub atmosphere, traditional decor and the price was reasonable. Overall a great experience.
P. H.Thursday evening and busy. Haven't been here for a while, as no public transport so it's a taxi but, I'm sure we shall return. Good selection from menu plus daily specials board. Food quality excellent with some nice interesting variations, and the prices fair. Three good ales on offer. Wine list limited but once again prices reasonable. Toilets clean and well serviced. Staff welcoming and friendly (especially Alex), service excellent.
C. J.Always a fabulous visit, food fantastic (cow pie is my very own favourite). The menu isn't a big one, however there is a selection for each dish eg burger, fish, pie ect. The establishment is clean and cosy, the staff are friendly and accomidating. Will return very soon.

I.Deliciously cooked food and a nice Saturday afternoon atmosphere.
Visited for a small family get together, experienced very pleasant service and attentive staff. Food was cooked very well and presented even better. One downside is that once we've finished our mains we did have to wait quite a while for the waitress to come back with our desserts - understandably so, as the inn had gotten very busy all of a sudden.
Will come back again for sure!

One little issue is the parking at the rear was full and we had to park in a side street but we were there at the busiest time. All in all a 5* visit would recommend.

A. B.Had never heard of The Star Inn or Treoes and was following the sat nav to go to another pub when we passed this and just had to take a look. Great beer garden, looked oldee original inside, had a lovely pint of Hobgoblin and a gourmet burger. The meal was huge and very tasty, with gorgeous chips, a coleslaw, salad and onion rings! What a find, will definitely try again! Oh, lovely staff too!
M. T.Had Sunday lunch here today with my family to celebrate my wife's birthday there was 10 of us for lunch. Service was great very friendly staff. Great Sunday lunch a great time was had by all. They catered for all needs and nothing was to much trouble. I would recommend this place great atmosphere. I would like to thank all the staff for fabulous time.

The meal was cooked to perfection, the chef made an excellent job of the roast lamb and vegetables. The de constructed black forest gateaux was a wonderful end to a very enjoyable meal.. Probably the best Sunday dinner in the area.

I had stuffed aubergine and it was such a lovely meal. I've also tried some of the plates of my colleagues and everything tasted lovely.
The dessert was a delightful cappuccino mouse.

N. E.Beautiful meal! Rang last minute to book a late table for 8:30 for the two of us. Didn't choose to have starter as it was late thought to just go straight into mains. Both meals were absolutely amazing! I had the chicken leek and rarebit and my partner the pie. The presentation was perfect too! We then had deserts which were equally as impressive. Were served by a few lovely ladies all evening who were all very pleasant too. All in all a stunning 'last minute' meal out.

S. T.Booked a table for my partners birthday. The booking was in the wrong name and to be honest when I call I feel like I’m not being listened to like they really don’t want to take the call. However when you arrive and and are sat at the table it’s a totally different experience. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The food is outstanding and really good value. I’ve eaten in some places that think they are better than they are. Here it’s proper great food and can’t fault it one bit. The steak we had both cooked to perfection, his ruined (well done) he really enjoyed his, in fact he was full and normally we’d ask for extra chips but they managed to fill him on a large serving of their fab chips! My steak blue mmm mmm and they were both really succulent and a good quality steak. The chips are really chunky and triple cooked. Good garnishes and real attention to detail. There are lots of places around that could take a leaf out of the their book. There was no great wait between ordering and service. Probably as long as the well done steak took to cook. If you are looking for a place to eat then you won’t be disappointed. I think you’d definitely have to book to avoid disappointment. But if you are looking to treat the family you’d be really happy leaving. Well done The Star Inn.
J. F.We had the 2 meals for £12 offer. He had ham (nice quality),2 eggs and chips. I had chicken korma with half n half. Good sized meals, couldn't eat it all. Very tasty and good value 👍👍

j. h.Visited last night for the first time. Lovely pub and food on the whole, although don't go for the paella . It was just savoury rice with seafood in. The prawns were good though. Loads of bread, although no liquid to use it with. I was disappointed in this. Other than that, everything was really good, if not a tad expensive.

L. R.Unfortunately the occasion for us being there was for a wake. We had food, tea and coffee which was supplied by the The Star Inn for this occasion. Food was lovely, well presented, fresh and good quality. The staff was very friendly, service with a smile and laughter which ment alot under the circumstances. The staff wanted to interact with there customers . There was lots of us but the service for drinks was quick and very good at keeping on top of clearing the glasses too. It's very clean and has a very homely feel to it. The outside space is huge lots of space to sit and drink on a nice summers day, the garden furniture is very well kept and comfy. Would definitely recommend this place to people for an occasion or if you wanted to just meet up for a drink.

G. S.I've eaten out a lot in the local area over the years and this is one of the best places to go if you want to get away from all the 'run of the mill' chain pub places.
The food is truly home cooked and of a very good standard. The menu isn't overly extensive but it covers all the usual classics and more and it's done well. There's a lunch menu option available which is amazing value - I'd recommend the home cooked curry! Kids are also well accomodated.
It's a nice experience and you'll feel well looked after. You get shown to your table and daily specials (arent to be missed btw) are described to you by one of the excellent staff which delivers a real personal touch.
Overall the cozy old building, great food and above standard level of service come across with a slight touch of class that you don't find everywhere. If I had to be critical I'd have to say that the rear pub parking can be tight and often full but ultimately you can just park the car close by.

C. B.Firstly ordered a bottle of white wine which came in a cooler. Upon opening we noticed that it was only 2 thirds full. It was replaced but with a quite warm bottle. Main courses were fine. The mad hatter's dessert consisted of dry cakes, sweets and candy floss. Although this is on the dessert menu it certainly isn't a dessert. This is my go to place when I am visiting the area. However, I won't go again.

S.A nice setting with a great outdoor area, this pub is trying hard to be in league with more upmarket pubs but in reality the food is pretty standard pub grub, sea food sharing platter is mostly frozen breadcrumbed shellfish and its far too small to be considered a main for 2 people. The price is fair and consistent with the food quality. Being a 3rd visit i wasn't expecting much and i was right why they insist on serving food on alternative items such as chips in a metal basket?? But if you looking for a good pub grub venue then this is lovely. Nice staff good ale and pleasant surroundings.

A.Based on our family visit recently the Sunday menu and roast was very good. Nice pub, friendly staff. Menu is me grown-up friendly but had Ice cream available on request. Will we return = yes.

First time I had a Chicken with Welsh Rarebit on top which was really nice but gets a little sickly towards end and the secont time I had a Desperate Dan pie full of all different meats both cooked to perfection and as Bernard Matthews would say "Bootyful, really bootyfull"

S.We went last week for Sunday lunch for my sister's birthday , as always the food was excellent, but the service was very slow and the young staff very inexperienced, my sister's prawn cocktail was spilled over her and her hand bag the poor girl was very embarrassed but made no attempt to help clear up or offer a damp cloth to remove the sauce from her lovely blouse 🤔 , but we didn't make a fuss because the young girl was so shy , then I noticed the table opposite checking their Bill and then called the gentleman over , so thankfully we did the same and we had been over charged , hopefully this was all just a bad day as we have had many fabulous meals for special occasions and will return x
