One of the longest established gay venues in Brighton. A no frills friendly gay bar, some nights with a DJ and drag act. Worth a visit if your in town

Great bar, very friendly staff and customers for Saturday night. The place was packed but we got served politely and courteously and as quick as the staff could (like I said it was packed) It was quite obvious our group was straight but we experienced absolutely no discrimination or weren't made to feel anything other than welcome, had a great chat to the security staff and one of the bar staff whilst outside smoking would definitely recommend this bar to anyone visiting Brighton and will definitely be back again to enjoy the hospitality shown to us at this great venue.

Wonderful atmosphere in this busy pub. The bar staff and dj here were wonderfully friendly and made us feel very welcome, even tbough we were well over 30! Certainly the best gay bar we visited in Brighton. Congratulation, Bulldog Boys - you were brilliant.

We were here for Pride weekend and went on a Friday from around 8pm. Such great service from the bar staff, great range of drinks and from 8.30pmbit started to fill up. Lots of people dancing and having a great time. Left about 11.30pm.

It's my best place to visit. I have been going to the Bulldog for over 24 years. Its my local gay pub. 10mins away from where I live. Go and visit and u will have really fab night out guys!!! ❤️

Lovely little bar, not being local we didn't know what to expect but there was a great crowd there! Drinks were reasonably priced and the events they had on made me wish we were local to come back. The crowd was diverse and welcoming which was lovely. Good music had you singing and dancing with strangers. We had a top night out here

Karaoke at the Bulldog! So COVID secure! Sing inside a plastic booth to avoid spraying of droplets. Mic muffs changed after every singer, and charity collection for Rainbow Fund too! Well done Sam Pink & Team - what's not to like!

Used to be my favourite venue had lots of changes over the past few years. No longer the sleeze pit I used to love but still has a low end atmosphere and we'll priced drinks. Great they still sell real ale.

Is this the best Gay Bar in Brighton? Who knows. Is it the cheapest and have amazing/awful karaoke "stars" upstairs? Yes. Went with 2 of my gay friends, loved the night, it was utterly ridiculous. Would go again.

After a freezing day of meandering through Brighton, my friends and I were looking for somewhere to warm up and kick back. That's when we spotted the enormous gay flag. We knew our quest was at an end. Bulldog is fabulous. From the quintessential British bar staff (who went to great lengths to endearingly mock our Americanness) to the dive bar drag queen who was hosting karaoke, it was everything we were looking for in a late night activity in a new city. Tip: don't go hungry. They don't serve food.

Oldest gay bar in Brighton! Goes without saying that this venue is very LGBTQ Friendly. Plenty to choose from at the bar, plenty of places to sit down and plenty of drag acts and DJs throughout the week. Not too harsh on the wallet either, which makes a refreshing change from a few other venues in Kemptown.

Cheap drinks and funny characters propping up the bar. Not for the faint hearted but if you know what to expect this is one of Kemp town's oldest and most lively; must visit pubs.
