Great cask & keg selection at premium prices. Dropped in there as the final stop of my day visit to Brighton in October. Tired of having walked up and down the hill (and up and down again, and again) during the day, I was happy to unwind at this "micro"pub in the early evening. The emphasis is very firmly on modern style keg beers, and there's plenty to choose from. About half the beers are in steady rotation, the other half are "keepers". There's a printed list available, with the ABV and style of each item included. Some of the beers are very expensive, think of UK 7 for a high ABV half-pint, or even a third. A little too expensive methinks, but Brighton is a tourist spot and prices along the Channel coast tend to be on the higher side of the spectrum anyway. It's a friendly place, with highly knowledgeable and welcoming staff, so I lingered for more than two hours and had a bite, too, one of their burgers (which was good and not too expensive). Beer wise, expect to spend at least UK6 and up on the regular ABV pints. I was in a bit of an agitated mood when I came there, due to problems with my vaping equipment, but the atmosphere made me calm down in due course. Good place altogether, and conveniently close to the station.

This is an excellent pub. A group of us had an amazing afternoon when we enjoyed a beer tasting session hosted by Ric. Who would have thought an afternoon on the lash could be educational too! The range of beers available are mind boggling, catering for every taste, style and price possible. The only thing left to say is thank you.

Excellent Sunday roast. The turkey was lovely and moist and crispy crackling with the pork! The vegetables were perfectly cooked with plenty of variety, the 12 hour gravy rich and meaty, Yorkshire puds were fluffy and crispy. Well done chef! Visited this place and the man behind the bar was super patient with our order. (Crofton). We asked to sample multiple IPA'S and he made sure to take his time. Not to mention the amazing smell of wood burning in the pub. Carried out a YOUTUBE review which was extremely popular. Authentic and amazing array of drafts. So new review from me for this place. The craft beer co in Brighton has recently undergone a refurbishment. It is now a bit more traditional in its decor style. But it's not just the decor that has transformed. There are more drinks options, with a larger selection on tap. There is also more variety in the food - vegans now get at least one option on the menu a day, whereas before it was a case of surviving on bar nibbles. The staff are all still their wonderful selves & very knowledgeable about their drinks offerings. Sadly if you have difficulty mobilising there is a limited amount of space for you as you can only make it through one entrance & the rest of the pub & it's toilets are accessible only through stairs. This is an improvement overall, now we just need to wait & see if the heating in the winter works! Or we can just warm ourselves with friendship & booze :)

If you love craft beers as the name suggests this is a great place for you. Recently refurbed this place has a great vibe but has everything a craft drinker wants. They also have good sports coverage making this the place for craft and sport in the city. Not eaten here yet, hope it's as good for the complete package!

Great beer. Lots of different choices. Food is great too. A little pricey, think £10 a pint.... But worth it. Had the chips... Were brill, a good sized portion. NOT recommended if you are on a diet, otherwise if you can afford it... 1 of the best places to go in Brighton if you like beer.

Sadly had to wait almost an hour and half after ordering our food. When it did finally arrived was very impressive (Potatoes were too hard to cut) Pub atmosphere good, music a bonus. Staff very polite and friendly but so busy they had to struggle to give efficient service. Because of the long wait, I had a second drink - over £8 for a large gin (had half a bottle left from first one ) was expensive. Definitely will come again, but not on Mothers day. 2.45 was the only time available, which is why we took it. But by 4.15 we were all starving. Loved your baked shredded parsnip I think, inside the lush Yorkshire puds. Going to have a go at making it at home. Thanks guys for a very pleasant Mothers day treat.

Great beer selection and staff at this branch of Craft Beer Co. A very big plus is that they allow dogs which none of the London Craft Beer Cos do. However, the food is extraordinarily bad. We ordered tapas and they were completely tasteless and dripping of fat, a complete disappointment. In summary, visit for great beers but avoid the food!

Nice atmosphere but the only fairly major downside is that although there's food menus everywhere, they no longer seem to serve food at lunchtimes. This presents a bit of a problem when you go in as a group order a load of drinks and then get told that the menu's are there for use in the evening only.

Excellent Beer and great tasting experience. Ran with passion. The bit worth 5 stars.....Went last month for a stag doo beer tasting booked through chilli sauce. The manager was very knowledgeable about the beer he selected to serve. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the mix up with the food. No one at our table ordered a holumi burger but two of us were waiting for food. The kitchen had two holumi burgers they were adament we had ordered. It went on far too long with a staff member asking the question several times and even the chef coming out twice implying we were wrong. In all fairness while the manager could of been quicker to grab the situation by the balls. When someone is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the core product you can forgive him, he carried interesting conversation for several hours. Genuinely would of given 5 stars if the chef hadn't had the brass neck to pop out and imply we didn't know what we had ordered. I will definately return next time I'm in Brighton, may just eat elsewhere.

Was a clear 5 star pub until the recent downgrade! My issue is all the nice things have gone, no Van Winkle all the expensive bottled beers and rare stuff seams to have been removed. Basically there is no point going out of your way to try something strange any more. No last Thursday of the month Blue Smoke House pop up restaurant. Oh and the nice fruit juice seams to have gone also. On the plus side; they still do the same number of drafts just the selection seams to be a little less bespoke! Time to move on and remember the glory days gone by!!
