Really good value drinks and food! Plus the bar staff are very friendly and attentive. Students can get special prices Mondays through to Thursdays so don't be afraid of getting in on even better value.
Something to be aware of is the poorly-maintained bathrooms for both gents and ladies. I've had a few instances where there's been no soap or toilet paper inside the gents and a friend told me it's the same in the ladies. More care needs to be applied here so I'm rating it 3 stars.

Drag Brunch was brilliant. Bottomless drinks started from kickoff; and Jason was great at catering to by partners dietary requirements. 10/10 would recommend and a great day out

Really nice student like bar. Good atmosphere, great value especially on mondays where its half price. Has really friendly service, a great variation of a games area and a nice seating area.

This place was quite nice. The staff was very kind and I enjoyed my food. The restaurant itself was very homey and cozy.

Staff are always friendly and polite. Door men are also chatty and kind which is a surprise compared to some places. Drinks are reasonably priced for a pub in town. The place can sometimes smell a little bit but I expect this is to do with plumbing or something not really in the main staff members control! Good pub for watching sports on tv too.

The interior nice and plenty space to sit, but no food on Sunday and we got informed about it out only after buying our beer.
Staff friendly.
One visitor was quite strange and kept talking to us only he knew about what even after all the polite time for short talk was over. We did not know how to get rid of him. We have been to this pub before and it was lovely with nice pub food and no obsessive people.

The Pav Tav is looking a bit tired, went out with family members for drinks before a meal, Sunday afternoon at about 3, not many people but the football match on tv was so loud we had to shout at each other, the beer was OK, the soft drink I had was fine. The pool tables were well priced but had to leave a £10 deposit behind the bar for £3 cues... I can only assume its to cover breakages from other clientele. Felt as if when I ordered from the bar that I was disturbing the bar staff and their social life. Probably won't go back, which is a shame as back in the day this was a great place, and used to be a starting point for us all during pride.
