Really enjoyed this pub, although in the day at weekends it is a borderline pub / family-friendly vegan fast food restaurant. Nice surroundings, really friendly, welcoming bar staff and a great selection of IPAs. I’m not vegan but that wouldn’t stop me trying the food at a future visit; it certainly appeared to be popular. The outdoor seating at the side of the pub, with individual heaters, looked very cosy.

Great pub, great food and exceptional service. Big THANK YOU to Kathryn who went above and beyond. We had made a booking enquiry in advance, to which Kathryn replied and really couldn't have done more for us, making our Xmas meal a perfect experience. I cannot wait to return to the fountain head, and would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

This pub used to be great for the food but it has really gone down hill. The menu isn't as good as it used to be (special burgers were the best!) and the quality is poor. Also, they couldn't provide the basic condiments. Such a shame as it used to be a great place!

Gets very/too busy in the weekend therefore very hard to get a table. In the week it's quiet and cozy. The food is good, the veggie options are limited. Beer choice is decent. Friendly staff. Couple of tables outside on the side on the street. No garden. Nice pub :)

Quite possibly the best pub in the world! I love this place. Amazing staff, especially the manager. The food is absolutely amazing too. A great selection of drinks and snacks and is really inviting with the lighting and interior decorating. very clean and in a great location as in the middle of town but just enough to still feel relaxing: perfect! I have spent many evening in there in the past, and many new year's eves and pride day where the staff are super and really get involved and stay happy despite being rushed off their feet. Please make an effort to go there at different times and days as it is always brilliant but has a different feel to it at different times and days but always in a good way! Oh yes it has great music and an open fire and a smoking area outside and has live music and other events. Check it out oh and finally - you have to try their Sundays roasts! 😀

Nice pub and nice food too. Staff are friendly, chilled and overall its a very welcoming pub that also has board games available. I had the pork belly which was fine, nice dish, the pork had a lil more fat on it than I would like but value-wise felt the pork belly on a mustard mash a little overpriced for 10-11 quid.

Can get pretty loud and packed in here. Plus it plays sports, so come here if you like that kind of vibe. Most of the time I've been here it's been difficult to get to the toilets as you have to squeeze past people standing at the inevitably crowded bar, there are rarely any seats anywhere and the tables remain crowded with empties waiting to be collected.

I like the fountain. Staff are always friendly.. On a Tuesdsy evening they have a Ganes evening, (the old computer ganes. They have around 5 consoles with 100 of games all for free.. Really a Great idea!! Food is Great too.. 😊
