Went there on a Saturday night out, it has decent pricing as well as live music and a fun atmosphere, the size allows for a large number of people both inside and outside and had a solid selection of beers

A great venue for live bands of all genres of music, food is ok (but I get the feeling that that's not what it wants to be known for), because it's in the center of Brighton you will have to hunt for free parking, large present rear outdoor seating area, that can get packed when bands are playing, there is also seating outside at the front.

It was OK. Only the first week things had opened so they were still hearing up. However, we ordered the same thing every time and it got more expensive each time. Although we said something each time we were basically ignored until the last time when we received a pound back and an apology.

Came here with my family for fathers day. They had a nice selection of drinks and both the indoor and outdoor areas had plenty of seating. It being a Sunday, we all had their roast; Me and my girlfriend shared the platter for two, and all I can say is that it was one of the best roasts I've had from a tavern. All the meat was cooked perfectly and the trimmings were delicious. An overall nice pub, which I'll certainly visit again.

Great pub for locals and anyone who feels the need of some comfort after a service at the crematorium next door. Good choice of drink (go for the mulled cider if it's on). Great friendly staff, and OH MY GOD THE FOOD IS AMAZING! Probably the best burgers in Brighton. Very nice beer garden too for when the weather picks up. Quiet during the day but by all accounts rammed in the evenings. Love it.

The beer garden here is a hidden gem! Lots of space and there is a really good selection of beer. Food is reasonably priced and offers a wide selection of vegan, veggie, meat stuff. Specials were varied too: even though there are a lot of burgers on the menu there was a lot of other things to pick from too.

Food has improved loads and service is great. Feels very community driven with great selection of beers/ales. I have seen an amazing array of bands and musicians here. Plus sitting in the beer garden surrounded by tree ferns and palms with a cold beer is perfect.

One of my favourite pubs in Brighton! Great for a relaxed pint with your mates or a raucous reggae night, this pub has a nice selection of beers and maintains a local and welcoming feel. The beer garden is also fantastic, it's fairly large and has heaters so smoking is possible in cold weather.

The staff are amazing, you recieve a warm smiley welcome and the punters are an eclectic and generally a happy bunch. If you happen to be in the area I can't recommend a better boozer. If you like a PUB this is not to be missed. Great live music venue. Food is lovely and served quickly. Locals call it the yellow, you will understand this from a distance. ☺

Large spacious pub, live music events occasionally, comfy furnishings and a large outdoor beer garden with heaters. Cheap drinks and solid staff. Nothing you can say wrong about it other than sometimes when on a quiet night, it feels lonely cause of the space.

It's my regular and always good, quiet in the week before 6 and then the student's come out to play. The chef makes great food. Also has live sport for the big events , live music at the weekends.The Gladstone boast an awesome beer garden Aswell proper pub.👍👍👍👍👍

Scruffy, bohemian style pub on the edge of the town. Decent beer and interesting people. A nice garden with plenty of seats too. Worth the journey if you're not in the local area but fancy a change. One suggestion I would make is that a blind is put up in the window of the ladies toilet, as, currently, garden drinkers are witness to a blurry vision of users pulling down clothes and squatting on the loo!

Great lively venue with frequent live music, a young fun crowd and an atmosphere a little unlike anywhere else in Brighton. The roast on Sunday is pretty poor though, particularly given how good they tend to be in Brighton. A dry chicken breast and hard vegetables being a particular low point. The vegetarian option was bland too and a nut roast isn't puff pastry with a spoonful of a lentil based topping. Go for the atmosphere in the evenings instead of the food.

Quirky and alternative, this pub hosts some of the best live music nights in town along with serving a selection of amazing burgers, one of which is a whole breaded and baked Camembert! Has a lovely shaded garden area that's east facing so really cool in the summer.

Bar man not that friendly appeared to be disinterested in us as customers. Guy at the bar was also a bit grumpy! On a brighter note the beer is nice and hoppy with a zesty finish. No hand gel or moisturiser which disappointed us somewhat however didn't dampen our spirits. I know it's a cliché music in background was good. My only advice is to treat all customers with a smile showing them a bit of interest. I run 7 successful bars all over the states and have great comments from customers. So all I would say is smile once in a while as tomorrow may never come.😎
