Love this place!! Except for the usual bar offering, they have a wicked kitchen (Sunday roasts only apparently, now during Covid times - but it operates most days during more "normal" times). Well decorated, with a lovely old piano in the main seating area, and additional, almost separate space with a pool table, there's a large beer garden at the back - if you're lucky, you'll score one of the booths with heaters installed. They used to have live music and quiz nights there as well, can't wait for current restrictions to be lifted and allow all the fun stuff to commence again :)

Absolutely delicious roast beef and trimmings. Great service, great venue and good selection of drinks. The beef was one of the best quality I've had in a long time and the gravy went with it really well. Would highly recommend.

Great local. Watched the Euro final and the bar service was non stop and as attentive as they could be! Lovely outdoors area and interior with great polish food and veggie/vegan options! Not a huge selection of lagers but therefore a very friendly, spacious family friendly pub!

After way too long, I finally got to taste Martha Gunns Sunday roast and let me tell you the nut roast was amazing, with lots of really cooked veggies including cheesy leeks and the great roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. It is by far the best roast I've ever had! My friend had the lamb shank, chicken and pork and they look fab as well. Would highly recommend!!!!

As a family we came to the Martha Gunn and totally enjoyed it. The beer was one of the best served in Brighton without a doubt, my wife and children had coke and lemonade which was (in their words) tastes so refreshing and better than other pubs. The food looked amazing which we will try next time we go.

Recently refurbished. Good selection of bottled and pump beers from the likes of Meantime Brewery as well as some good ales. Nice staff. Food currently is delicious: mexican. They allow dogs and children. Not too busy that you can't find a seat. Beer garden is big, paved with wooden booth seating.

The refit has totally changed this pub for the better. Inside and out are now really good places for drinks or eating with friends and family. They serve excellent fresh, well prepared Mexican food, my tip is the vegan burrito, it comes in various degrees but all are exceptional.
