Lovely Bar Staff, polite and friendly, excellent pint at a great price, great place for the family to nip into after a nice day in the local park, plus pool and darts which is sometimes hard to find in pubs these days, great traditional old public house. Thanks for making us feel welcome x Joe

It's a traditional and local pub. Ir has a great darts leauge setup. They also have bar billiards and a jukebox.

Den and Angie Watts would love this pub. I could imagine the divorce papers being handed out around back house on the Xmas special. It is an absolute time warp this place, back to a time when Brighton pub scene was dominated by trilby wearing old blokes drinking their stout and a time when the greens where not a trendy political party, but what her indoors was cooking with your steak n kidney for when you got home. It does do sky sports, which is actually quite hard to find around the Brighton city area and the beer is well kept and reasonably priced. I quite like it in there, though could understand why people would be put off. I think for most it will be a marmite place.

Incredible venue for their tasting menu, I particularly like their duck fois gras and their braised pilchard. Lorraine is a very welcoming landlady and is always on hand to articulate the local cheeses and wines on offer. I would strongly reccomend this venue for arts and crafts, pottery and poetry enthusiasts . Perfect ambience with no riff raff.

Play bar billiards there. Great place. Just watch the landlady. She'll shoot you down in flames if you upset her.
