T. r. e. -. B.Excellent roast dinners! We’ve been going for 3 years now and never had another pub roast like it. Always great, we eat here during the week too as the daily menus are also delicious.
Staff go out of their way to make everything a top notch experience. Highly recommend but booking is essential.
The chef is brilliant.
Try the prawns during the week they are sooooo good!!!

A. M.We always pay a visit to this pub when in Brighton and have never been disappointed. We had dinner here last night and opted for a selection of seafood dishes to share. The food was amazing and full of lovely flavours. The service was excellent, as always. I hope it won't be too long before we return. It's a very popular pub and so you definitely are advised to book a table.

N. H.I remember in 1993 coming here for the food. Haven't been since until the other evening. The food was excellent (homemade pie) and the ambience cosy with the woodburner. There is an excellent selection of traditional and craft beer (more of the latter).
C. O.I think the day (saturday early eve)I went might have been busy, but felt my roast was underwhelming. It was on the cold side and portion size was a bit low. Usually after a roast, I'm stuffed, but this wasn't the case. I could have had a big dessert. The taste was great, and another grip is that the Yorkshire pudding was burnt. A shame really as I've heard nothing but good things. Oh, one waitress was being a bit annoying. Not a team player whereas her co-worker was getting it done.
B. M.This is a great pub which luckily happens to be my local. The beer is good, the staff brilliant and the food is excellent. Even great for veggies like me :-) They also have occasional ticketed gigs and I have seen some amazing acts there in a very cosy environment. And don't forget the Belgian beers!

The place is nice and quiet so you don't have to shout over loud music which is the usual problem in Brighton.
T. O.Every time I've been to the Geese for a roas,I would look at the Greys and think I wonder what it's like... Well last Sunday we shunned the sharp 1 word response service from the Geese and have it a try.
At Greys Freehouse expect the complete opposite for service. The staff were so welcoming and AMAZING. They were attentive, accommodating and welcomed us with opens arms. Now for biggest statement - THEY DID THE BEST ROAST POTATOES I'VE HAD IN MY LIFE !!!!
