Fun place. We went on Saturday night and so the place was a bit hectic! The service to order at our table wasn't working so I waited at the bar. Took a while but drinks were reasonably priced. Had a nice glass of mulled wine. Not a very good cider selection and the tables outside were very wobbly and a bit grimey. Again, it was Saturday night, and so this cannot be blamed on the staff! Ha. There was nice heaters outside as well which is always appreciated:)

What a find. Certainly not an obvious choice at any level. But the staff were very pleasant and polite and the food and drinks offerings exceeded expectations. Whilst the burgers could not be described as haute cuisine, they were very tasty and there was quite a selection, including several vegan options. I would definitely visit again.

Decent burgers today. Decent selection of ales. My only points would be, the blue cheese on the wife's burger wasn't noticeable and you really have to time it here to not be rammed. (But that just reflects on the place being popular!) Happily revisit and recommend.

Very delicious burger! I had the gecko, very flavourful and seasoned just right! The service was fast and the staff friendly. Big draw for me is the pricing on the burgers is the same across the board so you arent paying through the nose for more complex toppings. Lovely outdoor seating area, lovely sun spot.

Very tasty food and great service! We came back to try the food after a previous visit that did not go so well due to some system errors on the new QR system (now sorted) and this time the experience was top notch! The burgers are indulgently tasty and the sides also are so tasty, highly recommend getting Chilli Pops. The food was piping hot too! Recently moved to the area, and I think this pub will be somewhere I’ll be going quite a lot. No issues getting a table if you book and at certain times you can just walk right in too! Staff are very friendly too and service is quick from ordering.

Been here a few times and it always seems to be busy. The main selling point of this pub is their outdoor seating (which is often all taken but is really nice and one of the few pubs in the town centre with a large outsdoor seating area). If you want a seat outside id suggest getting there before 7pm possibly earlier. The bar can be a bit slow and the security can be a bit over zealous. The toilets are a bit grotty (not sure about the ladies) ans it's a tight squeeze inside when full. The beer prices are a bit expensive but similar to other pubs in the same area.

The two staff last night (30/07/2020) went out of their way to accommodate us. We were a big group, split into 2 smaller groups of 5. They were really friendly found us a place outside where we could sit close to each other while still following the COVID policy of no more than 5 at a table. Cheers for a get eat night.

Mash Tun is always a great place to have a drink whether you want to have one after work or at the beginning of the night or if you want to finish your night there. What I especially like about Mash Tun is that I am an older gentleman and I get asked for ID multiple times when entering or asking for a drink making me feel young again lol. The staff are always great with customers and even when their busy you will be able to get a drink. Overall a great place to vibe at no matter what your age or when you need a drink if you are looking for a place to relax and chill at.

Had a great time in The Mash Tun. They have a huge selection of whiskies and the friendly and knowledgeable staff are very helpful with recommendations if you have no clue what to try. The food was hearty and very tasty. Would recommend trying the whisky pairings. We went on a Thursday evening when there was a lively pub quiz. Perfect way to spend an evening in Aberlour.

Good place to start the night (after go to Black Lion). Good crowd, same music every night, staff are quick to serve, bouncers are sensible. Upstairs sitting area that no-one seem to know about is rarely occupied

Seems small but actually has a lot more seating upstairs and outside. Because of the size there is a sign saying that groups of 5 or more may be asked to leave! Staff are very friendly. Toilets are cramped, stairs narrow. It's an old building so I don't think much can be done about that. Good to see vegan options on the menu.

INCREDIBLE BURGERS! We had three different burgers and all were very nice. They come with really tasty seasoned chips. I had the burger with chorizo and it was just amazing. One point I would make, is maybe they should come with a little side pot of one of their yummy sauces. Will definitely be going back!

Not one to write reviews or express any feeling towards a licensed establishment but this place was exceedingly okay that I felt compelled to put fingers to board. The exterior solid turquoise was enticing at first confirmed with the narrowness of the outside tables. However; the obvious graffiti and sticker placement in the gentlemens urinal led me to believe that this was no true independent public house but rather yet another miserable attempt by the Harvester chain to break in to the alt scene. Toilets understandably average and bar staff obviously beaches. Three stars to then IPA.

this place is alright, but take SERIOUS caution when paying, they overcharged me TWICE, and I had to tell them how much they should have charged me, then when it happened to a mate next to me, he pulled his card out of the machine, threw it on the floor and the 2 of us walked out, and are now barred. WATCH THE PRICE AND KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS. The service is poor, there must be roughly 5-6 staff behind the tiny bar at any one time, but they still manage to procrastinate to an unknown level. I have this mental image of them all dancing and drinking with a huge crowd waiting to be served, not getting any attention at all. Would seriously recommend the fishbowl or the hobgoblin nearby for a much better experience, faster service, no pay mess-ups and fewer difficulties.

Lovely boozer, corner plot. Inside and outside seating with canopy's/heating if so required. Good on an evening/weekend, proper lively as right in the center of the North Laine's. Would recommend to those down for the weekend but don't want to go to the usual pub chains or tourist spots.
